Newborn Photoshoot

Magical from start to finish

Our wedding was so beautiful and Kendra captured all the little details of our special day. Kendra kept us calm and smiling at each other. Kendra was so kind, sweet, and easy to talk to. Our pictures are amazing/stunning and we can't stop looking at them. Kendra and Keith are the best team we appreciate their professionalism, quality of work, attention to detail during our wedding. Class Act... from start to finish !

We're perfectionists and it makes us picky; we met with a few photographers and although they impressed us, they unfortunately also unimpressed us each time (high marks for 1 aspect but disappointed with something else such as being overbearing, not hearing our ideas, uncooperative, et cetera)... until we met Kendra. We knew right away our search was over and canceled our last 2 interviews after meeting her, as she made us comfortable, spoke well, listened and understood what we wanted. At the wedding she was phenomenal with our guests and patient throughout the night. Most importantly, our photographs were wonderful and there were no hidden fees to get pictures. We have already recommended to others and will continue to do so in the future !

Simply lovely

Kendra has fantastic, and very communicative. She was able to go with the flow on our wedding day and captured some absolutely stunning photos. She had an energy about her and you could tell she was very passionate about the photos she took.

Turn around time was amazingly fast and we had 1000+ photos within 2 weeks. I'd strongly recommend her for both composition/style and personality. I'm so glad we went with her.

Couldn't ask for a better photographer!!

Kendra is absolutely amazing! First of all, and most importantly, my pictures are phenomenal! They are exactly what my husband and I wanted.
Secondly, Kendra was a joy to work with! Even my guests raved about her professionalism and how she would pull them aside and take pictures of them!
She has such a good eye and can read the mood so well! At one point I was so overwhelmed with everyone wanting to take pictures with me at the reception and she kind of veered my family and friends wanting to take the pictures away from me so I could have a break! It was so lovely of her!
I truly can't say enough amazing things! She was the perfect person to document our day!

Engagement shoot

Kendra was amazing! Very energetic and gave great direction, exactly what I needed. Went above and beyond, even called me to come back after we left just to get a shot I wanted. Fit us in last minute and got my photos incredibly quick! Would highly recommend!

Holy cow, everything you’d want and more!

She is honestly so talented 😱 My pictures came out like Pinterest! I didn’t have to even tell her what to capture... and I was sad I didn’t take pictures, but then I get her work back and realized she captured everything I wanted and more! She guided me through the entire event- I didn’t think I was photogenic. lol but she made me fall in love with my pictures!!

Kendra was an aboslute dream! She worked with our nearly impossible schedules while being very responsive and flexible. My fiancé and I were both very nervous to have photos taken (as neither of us had worked with a photographer before) and she calmed our nerves with ease. I’m so excited to write this review. Kendra was phenomenal!!! She captured so many special moments throughout our ceremony and wedding. I don’t ever remember seeing her, but the beautiful pictures she captured is proof she was there. Several pictures look like artwork and I plan to display them in our home that way. Coming across Kendra Jones Photography on Wedding Wire was truly a treasure find; you won’t be disappointed!!

I'd never been to New Orleans before (let alone know any photographers in the city) but I knew I wanted to take some photos while I was there on vacation. I came across Kendra's work on Instagram and fell in love with her work. We worked together on a lifestyle shoot for my blog and let me tell you, the pictures turned out better than I could have ever imagined. Kendra has a great eye and she's wonderful at capturing moments. Her knowledge of the best spots in the city makes working with her even more of a pleasure. Even more, she makes taking photos a fun experience. When I go back, I would love to work with her again.

Kendra is exceptionally talented in both indoor and outdoor settings and there is something about her discrete gracefulness where she both makes everyone feel so at ease and able to be authentic, but does it so discretely that you don't feel like you're being given direction or even being photographed necessarily. This demeanor has set the stage for some lovely, authentic, sweet photographs of our children and our family that we will treasure forever!!

Kendra was a pleasure to work with! She responded promptly to communications, arrived on time, and got people where they needed to be for formal pictures while not being pushy. Oh, and she takes exceptional pictures! We have a multitude of memorable shots in our library now. Somehow, working unobtrusively, she managed to capture at least one good shot of almost every guest, as well as action shots and candids that put the viewer in the middle of our joyous event. We highly recommend Kendra to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

I am so sorry that I did not find Kendra sooner! She took incredible photos of my children and was amazing with my (usually not cooperative) two year old. I am so happy with the photos! Would recommend her to anyone.

I found Kendra while I was just browsing NOLA photographers online. I was looking for someone who could capture more candid photos and someone who knew the area well. I saw her images of children in Audubon Park and was in love! I could tell she knew all about the park (we were married under the Tree of Life). She showed up to our house the morning of the wedding (our first time to meet!) and was so easy-going. She kept a close eye on my time and when she noticed I was running a little behind, she politely pointed out the time in the most calm way. I'm pretty sure she and I were the most calm people there that morning! She made everyone in my wedding party feel at ease. All our friends and family have raved about how great she was and I could not agree more! She took the most beautiful shots of us that incorporated the scenery and her presence was hardly known. I can't imagine having worked with anyone else! I can't wait to have a need to call on Kendra again.

While in the planning stages of our wedding, I spent an embarrassing amount of time reviewing photographer websites. In my efforts to try to get the best deal possible, I emailed every photographer with decent to spectacular photos on their website for a price list.

I ended up in the unfortunate position of deciding between paying higher than my budget would allow for a photographer whom I adored, or staying true to my figures and going with a photographer who seemed good, however not great.

Lucky for me, I received a reply in my inbox from Kendra and I never had to make the compromise! Her website has beautiful displays of photos, so I was shocked when I received her price list. It was very reasonable!

Our engagement photo shoot could have easily been a disaster. We are from Oklahoma, so when it started pouring rain about 30 minutes into our photo shoot, we did not have the luxury of retaking the photos at a later time. Kendra stood in the rain taking photos for us. To say she was "drenched" at the end is an understatement. When the engagement photos were ready (her turnaround is super speedy), we were blown away. All our friends joke that our rain drenched/romantic photos reminded them of "The Notebook."

When the wedding day came, she brought her "A" game, once again. I felt like she was always around, however I never knew she was there. One guest told me after the wedding how "cool" our photographer was because she was getting up on chairs and doing whatever to get the best shots, but in a stealthy type of way. At the last minute, we even asked her to stay later than we had agreed upon and she did so without even flinching.

Kendra has been an absolute dream to work with throughout the entire process. I wish I could rate her a 10 out of 5 :) If you want quality/professional/artistic/creative photos taken by a fun/relaxed/caring photographer at a price that will not break the bank, then Kendra is your girl!!

Kendra did both engagement and wedding photos for us. My fiancee and I weren't exactly sure what to expect from an arranged session of photography but Kendra put us both at ease immediately. For the engagement photos we were a bit of a blank slate except for wanting to get a few shots in City Park. On her way up to meet us, Kendra had already scoped out several cool locations that were closeby. To creatively use scenery that we were both familiar with was a special touch that will make the photos more meaningful. There was no need for us to think or make any decisions; we were just there, together, being ourselves with Kendra capturing it. She was very accomodating in getting some shots at City Park as well when we asked. We got the photos back quicker than I expected (I believe it was about a week's time?) and we were very pleased with them. We used one of them for our "Save The Date" postcard. Kendra also came and did photos of the the bridal party preparations as well as pre-ceremony wedding party. We had a second photographer for the post-ceremony shots and reception. It was a noticeable difference that we didn't get any direction from the 2nd photographer and kind of had to feel our way around what to do, which was a bit unsettling. It was not like that at all with Kendra who was quick to guide us, give us suggestions, and move us around as needed for optimal lighting and multiple angles. Another detail we appreciated is that Kendra managed the clock very well on a tight schedule leading up to the ceremony. At that point my bride and I were feeling overwhelmed and caught up in the moment but Kendra got all the shots we hoped for and got us to the ceremony on time without us feeling rushed. That demonstrates a lot of valuable experience to me. We're very glad we chose Kendra as our photographer and have recommended her to friends as well.

Wow! Kendra is so lovely is so many ways! She is not only a great person, easy going, and professional, but she also has some serious talent. Kendra's photos are beautiful, timeless, and have the rare ability to evoke an emotion (in our case, of love, happiness, and excitement). Her ability to use light and natural moments is why I chose Kendra and she exceeded all expectations. She makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and will capture you as you naturally are. Kendra blended seamlessly into the background throughout the ceremony and reception and directed the "staged" pictures in a way that added to our enjoyment of the day. Kendra captured the atmosphere of our wedding perfectly, catching all of the big moments and the little ones we were too caught up to see the first time around! Kendra was fantastic. First and foremost, she has such a lovely style,the pictures turned out beautifully. She does a great job using natural light; it was kind of a cloudy day but she transformed that into the most romantic shots. Kendra is prompt, she got right to work. She knows how to wrangle up the fam for the formal pictures and can corral a crowd, however her real strength lies in that she is able to blend right in to capture those sweet little unplanned moments as well.

Kendra was so easy to work with. She kept her cool and was very intuitive. I was getting a little nervous before the wedding (I thought my eye shadow was too much) and Kendra took the initiative to slip away with the bridesmaids down the hall to take some photos so that I could have some time to take some deep breaths. Thank you!

If I had to start over, booking Kendra would be one of the first things on my list.

Words cannot express how thankful we were to have Kendra capture our Wedding Day. She is professional, creative, efficient ( we literally had photos sent to us from our wedding the next day). Kendra did a photo shoot for my clothing line. She put the children at ease, which allowed their personalities to shine through. Kendra was a joy to work with, and the photographs were outstanding!

Fun and relaxed engagement shoot!

Kendra was wonderful! She found great locations for our pictures and gave my fiancé and I a lot of helpful directions during our shoot. She was also incredibly flexible with me on the date and timing of our shoot since we had to deal with inclement weather and tight deadlines. She went out of her way to make sure our pictures were what we wanted.

Kendra was an absolute joy to work with. We chose to do digital only copies of our photos, and it is giving us great flexibility being able to make our own prints. She got a great variety of shots, that look absolutely gorgeous (even though I was running late due to hair and makeup taking longer than expected). She was very accommodating to all of our needs, and went above and beyond the call of duty! My only slight drawback is that I wish we had gotten more shots with my bridesmaids and with guests. Part of this was due to my running late to our first looks, but I wish that during the reception she had gotten a few more posed pictures with my friends and bridesmaids. I would highly recommend Kendra to anybody planning an upcoming event.

We had a great time working with Kendra. We most appreciated how she would give us posing instructions some times but would also let us be ourselves (aka: be rather silly). We got great pictures, and her turn-around time was amazingly fast!
