Great Guitarist

We had Ken play at the ceremony and cocktail hour. He can play the traditional wedding music or contemporary. Having Ken play at the cocktail hour added such a nice touch. It made the event just more special. He is easy to work with, and prompt with all communication. I highly recommend him for any occasion!

Wedding Ceremony Guitarist

Ken was absolutely wonderful - he was great to work with, he was flexible and learned a few new songs that I asked for, and we got many compliments about his playing. And with his experience I didn't have to worry about him one bit the day of the wedding and it all went great. Would absolutely recommend!

Great guitarist!

First off, Ken was so easy to work with! He was extremely responsive. He knew so many songs and even learned a new one for our wedding. We couldn’t be more thankful for having him play! He’s an awesome guitarist. I highly recommend him for any occasion!

Professional and talented

Ken Rothacker is a very talented guitarist. We hired him to play for our ceremony and our cocktail hour. He was professional, friendly and prompt with all communication. Ken learned two new songs for our ceremony and they sounded great! Ken has a wide repertoire of music, so there was something for everyone to enjoy during the cocktail hour. We highly recommend Ken - he's professional, talented, and easy to work with. We are so appreciative that Ken could join us and help make our wedding day so special!

Perfect Wedding Instrumental Music

Ken, on guitar, and April, on violin, played for my son's church wedding and we couldn't have been happier! The music was perfect for the church setting but would be equally appropriate for a more secular environment. Ken had a large repertoire of options including hymns, contemporary music and classics and the process was seamless from initial contact to the final Recessional. We highly recommend Ken and his team of professional musicians for this most important day.

Ken Rothacker-Premiere Wedding Guitarist!

Ken was an excellent addition to our outdoor ceremony. He had an extensive repertoire of music to choose from and he was very accommodating; even when it came to switching locations after our venue went out of business 3 weeks before our wedding. I would highly recommend choosing Ken for your wedding ceremony, he is an awesome guitar player!

Ken was absolutely amazing. My fiance and I were supposed to meet up with Ken and a snow storm came in that I was not comfortable driving. Ken was more than accommodating and changed our meeting time. He added great value and input in the entire process of what the feel of our ceremony was, the song choice, and making sure we were happy. I could not recommend him more!

Ken was so great to work with! He played at my sisters wedding and then I was lucky enough to have him play at mine! Ken is so easy to talk with and makes the process of finding the perfect musician to play at a wedding easy. Ken offered great suggestions to different songs to play and if he didn’t know the song I wanted, he offered to learn it. I had several great phone conversations with Ken as we came up with the perfect songs for him to play at the ceremony. He plays beautiful music which was perfect for the ceremony. Ken also played at our cocktail hour. He is amazing! Such a positive, passionate person who truly has talent!

Ken contributed greatly to the success of our non-profit fund raiser. He was professional throughout and very easy to wok with - responsive in our communications when making arrangements for his participation. I received many complementary remarks praising the quality of his music and his quiet and unobtrusive manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone else wanting a very gifted guitarist for their event. I would call on him again without hesitation.

Ken played guitar at sister's wedding fiver years ago; when she found out we were looking for a guitarist for own wedding, my sister gave me Ken's name. (She still had his contact info saved, let it be known, because she was so incredibly fond of his contributions to her own wedding.) I emailed Ken out of the blue, and the stars aligned: he was free to play our date. Our wedding was smallish, but we did have one or two unique requests to make of him in terms of schedule and playing some in-between time in the foyer—he was open and receptive to everything. Throughout our communications, he was very responsive, enthusiastic, positive, friendly, and professional. And, of course, his playing was beautiful. We asked him to play a solo version of the theme song from The Princess Bride, and though we never heard him play the song ahead of the big date, when Karen walked through the double-doors and Ken started plucking those chords... boy, I *almost* cried.
He played beautifully, took care of all his own set-up (coordinating with our church director somewhat because my wife and I were so busy doing other stuff) and really just nailed the whole gig 110%
Karen and I cannot thank Ken enough, and cannot recommened him highky enough if you are looking for a guitarist for your event.

Ken was a pleasure to work with, he was knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and friendly. Sadly, I personally didn't hear much of his playing since I was preoccupied with my wedding, but I heard plenty of good feed back from my guests who enjoyed his playing. I recommend Ken with no reservations.

Ken played for me at my wedding in February of 2017, both for ceremony music as well as cocktail hour. He met every expectation I had and then some! He had great communication with me leading up to the event and made me feel like my wedding was a top priority for him. His excitement and enthusiasm for my event made me feel like this wasn't just another gig, but that he truly wanted to be a part of our special day. I cant say enough how meaningful that was.
Before our wedding, Ken made sure that he best understood my vision for the day and allowed me to have input in the music played. He accommodated special requests by learning new songs that meant a great deal to me and my husband, to incorporate into our wedding ceremony. Hearing those songs in the background made the day so much more meaningful and I am so grateful that he was willing to do that for us.
I was extremely pleased with Ken's performance and received TONS of complements from my guests, even weeks after the event. His variety of music played at cocktail hour mixed with the fact that he walked around the reception room in between guests while playing made a huge impact on the guests! Ken moving around the room was a wonderful surprise to me and really helped add something extremely special to our cocktail hour.
I would recommend Ken for any future musical needs someone might be looking for. He really took the time to make sure his performance was what we wanted, as well as adding his flare to it. He made a lasting impressions on those who attended, and helped make our wedding day great!

Ken was phenomenal throughout the entire process. He teamed up with a sax/clarinet player to play at our cocktail hour in the Chicago courtyard outside of our venue that many of our guests still say was the highlight of the night!

Couldn't asked for a better vendor from beginning to end - never worried that he wouldn't deliver a phenomenal service, beyond gifted musically, and undersells himself with his rate. Easily one of the most memorable parts of our wedding night. Thanks for everything Ken, you were incredible.

Guitarist, Ken Rothacker and his group of musicians provided a stellar concert performance at the Morton Grove Public Library last March 2016. The group played classics as well as contemporary tunes. The eclectic selection ranged from classical songs such as “Flight of the Bumblebee” to favorites by The Beatles. Our audience loved them and I would definitely consider having them back again. Ken was very professional, easy to work with, kind and flexible. Most importantly, he responded to my emails in such a quick fashion which is so helpful when a program coordinator is looking to have information about a group their scheduling. I would highly recommend Ken and any musical involvement he is in to anyone looking to provide beautiful music! You will not be disappointed!!

Ken was great! Very reliable and easy to work with. Planning a wedding is stressful and there are a billion details to plan/think about. Ken took care of the ceremony music with no worries to the bride at all. We had a meeting before the wedding to discuss song selections for the wedding party, bridal walk and recessional. Not thinking, I completely forgot that we needed music during the ceremony when we lit the unity candle. No worries, because we had Ken. Without even talking to him about it, he played a soft beautiful song during the unity candle lighting. Simple, easy, reliable. Thanks, Ken!

Ken played at our wedding this past August. He was recommended to us by the music coordinator at our church and we are so glad! Ken is not only incredibly talented, but he is also very kind, warm, and easy to work with. We live several hours from the town we got married in, and Ken was completely willing to "meet" with us over Skype so that we did not need to make an additional trip in. He listened to our ideas and preferences and also made many very helpful suggestions. He even played the tunes for us over Skype so we could get an idea of what the acoustic would sound like. Ken helped us to really personalize our wedding music, which we appreciated. Ken was also very flexible - we changed our mind on some of the songs several times, and it was no problem; and he worked seamlessly with our vocalist and the church, we never once had to worry about all of that lining up. And the music on our wedding day was so beautiful and special, it really made the day for us and several of our guests later commented on the talent of Ken and how much the music added to the ceremony. We highly recommend Ken!

Ken was a true professional throughout the whole process. He took time and care in making sure that his performance would align perfectly with the tone of our wedding. We especially appreciate Ken learning some new songs with short notice, and calmly adjusting his equipment and position as last minute venue issues arose. We had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Ken. He provided acoustic guitar background music for our wedding ceremony and also performed for an hour long cocktail hour. He worked with us to find the perfect songs for our wedding -- which went exactly as planned!

Ken was also very easy to work with and we had very little to worry about on the actual day of the ceremony. He provides a great value for his service, and I'd highly recommend him.

My husband and I were looking for a ceremony musician who would be a cello +guitar combination. We had heard this instrument combination before and really liked it. My husband came upon Ken’s site and immediately liked the flexibility that Ken provided us, both with number of musicians and the instrument combination. Also the prices were very reasonable! So my husband contacted Ken and he was very prompt in his responses. He was really easy to work with through the entire process, and even learned a brand new song for our ceremony because it had special meaning to us. I appreciated his desire to make the process as easy and efficient for us as possible, and it was nice to be able to work with him via Facetime and knew that he truly was invested in making our wedding special. He also asked all of the right questions to ensure that our ceremony would go as smoothly as possible. He arrived very early the day of to set up, and everything was wonderful. The music was really beautiful, and I got a lot of compliments afterwards about how wonderfully it set the tone. Two of our guests are in a Latin Percussion band and they complimented him on the Bossa Nova tunes that were played during the cocktail hour. Ken was so easy to work with and very accommodating. I asked him to play a not-so-familiar song with my singer friend and he didn't hesitate to say yes. He worked with her prior to the big day to make sure it would go perfectly. He also supplied both a wireless mic and wired mic with an amp so everyone could hear the music, vows, and readings. He is such a kind person and knows a TON of music. You name it, he knows it. It was a beautiful ceremony and he accompanied it superbly. I wasn't able to hear him play at the cocktail hour, but I'm sure it was wonderful.

Ken was wonderful music for our cocktail hour! He is very talented and has a great selection of songs. We didn't put in any requests, but we didn't need to! Just look at his song list!

Ken provided the ceremony and cocktail hour music for my wedding. I couldn't be happier with him. Leading up the the ceremony he responded to all of my emails very promptly. We also had a special request for our processional song, so he learned the new piece for us and played it flawlessly. He also showed up very early the morning of the wedding so that his set-up was done far in advance. Highly recommended!

Ken did an excellent job playing at our ceremony and also at our cocktail hour. We received several complements from our guests and was very much enjoyed. Ken is wonderful to work with and extremely responsive and professional. Ken helps to make the planning of the ceremony very easy and has great suggestions. I would recommend Ken to anyone looking for a guitarist for classical and modern music.

Early in the process of hiring Ken, he promised to be the easiest vendor I'd work with. He completely lived up to that promise. He was easy to contact, responsive and very helpful. And on top of that, he's a great musician to boot. My only regret was that I didn't get to hear him playing during the cocktail hour, but I am glad my guests did.

He was awesome! He played the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. I had many people come up to tell me how they enjoyed the music. He even learned a new song to play for me. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. Thanks Ken!

Ken was great to work with. I did not have a lot of time to spend with him on the details or song choice, and he did a wonderful job adapting the music to the the flow of the ceremony. Ken's professionalis and experience show! The music was beautiful.

Ken truly was a blessing on our wedding day. He was professoinal, responsive, and very experienced in the entire wedding planning process. Outside of the fact that his musical talents far exceeded any expectation I had, Ken was one of the warmest and kindest people I had ever met. My now husband (!!!) and I had Ken play at our ceremony over this past weekend. Were were very pleased with his performance, as well as his "customer service." He was super easy to work with and very professional. Also, he accompanied one of my best friends singing during the ceremony, and that really stole the show...we heard about them both all night! Ken was the perfect musical complement to our ceremony. He was extremely easy to work with and was very flexible. He was able to work with whatever we asked of him. He showed up over an hour early for the ceremony to make sure everything was set up properly. He provided us with a microphone (which I would recommend using if the ceremony is outdoors). Not to mention, Ken is a very talented musician. His guitar was beautiful and the selections sounded phenomenal! Everyone enjoyed his music and we would recommend Ken to anyone and everyone!

Ken was amazing at our ceremony. His Youtube videos, while good, do not accurately describe his music in person where it is simply fantastic. He arrived just on time, prepared and made our wedding truly special. I wholeheartedly recommend him for wedding ceremonies.

We hired Ken Rothacker to play guitar at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We were happy with him from the start. He was really responsive via email and phone calls. He had no problem with several special requests that we asked him to play for the ceremony.He was the easiest person to work with regarding planning my wedding day.

On the day of, Ken was amazing!! We were so happy with all his musical selections! He really went above and beyond what we were hoping for. We received so many compliments on his music! We would love to have him play for us again if we ever had an opportunity.

We would highly recommend Ken for any wedding or event that you might need.

Ken was so great to work with for our wedding. We were on an aggressive timeline, and I could not have asked for a more flexible and easy-going vendor. At one point in an email to me Ken wrote something like: My goal is to be your "lowest maintenance, easiest to work with" wedding vendor. I imagine he could hear my sigh of relief when I read his email. Our ceremony music was picked from Ken's existing list, but he was always open to discussing special requests or new songs. We did all of our planning over email and phone, and Ken was always responsive. To top of the wonderful planning experience, we heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests about the music, and it was perfect from our perspective as well. I would not change a thing about our experience with Ken. THANK YOU, Ken, for helping make our wedding day so special!

We knew that we wanted a guitarist for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. And we knew that we wanted someone who could play a wide range of music. And, of course, we wanted someone affordable. Ken provided all that. His music capability and the varied selection of what he could play was fantastic. During the planning, he was very responsive to emails. He was also very professional and experienced, and he would fit in in any setting. Our wedding venue was more formal and he presented himself well. The music was beautiful. Ken is a very talented guitarist. He was professional and receptive to our needs. He helped us create the wedding ceremony of our dreams. Ken was an absolute joy to work with. He was responsive, reliable, and flexible. He met with both of us beforehand to get a feel for what we had in mind, and had some great suggestions of his own. He helped shape the ceremony and cocktail hour into just the atmosphere we wanted. He is also willing to learn just about any song on short notice, and will do an amazing job even if he has never heard it before. He also provided a wireless microphone that hooked into his amplifier for our outdoor ceremony so that our officiant and readers could be easily heard. I would highly recommend hiring Ken for your event!

Ken is a fantastic classical guitarist who will play just about anything you ask for. One of the things that is so great is his collection of own compositions and the fact that he is willing to learn any song for an event. He took time with us to help figure out the perfect songs for our ceremony and came equipt with everything he needed to sound great. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He also had a violinist, April, play with him at the ceremony and together they sounded great! Thank you to both of you for such a memorable day!

Ken was outstanding to work with! I knew what I had in mind for my ceremony music, but I didn't have a set list of songs. Ken worked with me to determine what would work with my style and the venue. He also was very flexible when working with our solosit because due to location they were not able to meet before the ceremony and they flowed perfectly together. This guitarist was excellent! My family has high standards in music as my husband, father, and brother are all musicians- but Ken is awesome! He learned several songs by my request, and made our ceremony so special. He would often call before the wedding just so that he could check of I needed anything. After learning one of my "by request" pieces, he emailed me a clip so that I could hear it. It brought me to tears it was so beautiful. The best part was that he was affordable!! Great gutarist- great price.
