my wife and I got married May 11, 2019 and Keith Cephus and his staff went above and beyond for us. He not only provided outstanding service, but his professionalism and his staff were energetic and enthusiastic to shoot our wedding. There is a saying that if you enjoy what you do, you will never work a day in your life, and Keith Cephus and his amazing crew embody this 100%. I can not say enough good things about Keith Cephus, his work and his attitude speak for itself. Stunning Gem

This man right here, Mr. Keith Cephus was absolutely AMAZING!! Not only did he bring his camera, lighting etc. most of all he brought his personality and energy! Very positive and helpful. He provided a lot of insight and knowledge versus just being a photographer. Most importantly he is down to earth, becomes an immediate long lost friend who you've reconnected with and his professionalism through it all is wonderful! Amazing photographer with breathtaking photos

Ben and I were married December 1, 2018 at Founders Inn and Spa. From getting ready in the dressing room to the last dance in the grand ballroom, Keith was present capturing every moment in vivid detail. Out of all the wedding details, Ben and I knew our photos were the most important. We wanted someone who wouldn’t miss an opportunity for a memorable shot, and who I would feel very at ease spending most of the day with. Keith is just that..He’ll feel like family, very down to earth, but behind that camera lens, he’s all business. Keith’s got a knack for sensing the best lighting, angle, and time to take a shot. I would strongly recommend him because when you’re his client, the only focus is on you.

Keith Cephus can have all of my money (okay maybe not all)! He and his team did a fabulous job at our wedding on 4/15/18. I actually met him at my friend's wedding back in 2015 and that's when he became my dream photographer. His pictures on Instagram were absolutely stunning and I remember telling my mother that I hope when I get married, he would be able to do my wedding and I'm so glad that dreams really do come true. Keith was so relaxed and simply wanted to get to know my now husband and I during our initial conversation. He would call and check in to see how things were going while we were still in our planning phase and he also helped me to decide between two other vendors (he's the best so I knew his recommendation would be also). Nadine was very quick and responsive to any questions that I had. And the rest of his team were so professional on the day of the wedding. Everything leading up to the wedding dealing with Keith Cephus Photography helped to put me at ease for the big day. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous about the price initially but looking back, it was well worth it and more! The pictures are what remain after the big day so there's no room to trust just anybody with that responsibility. When I look back on my wedding day 50 years from now, I will be so glad that I invested in a top notch photographer. I can't say enough great things because I am so happy with the way everything turned out. I highly recommend Keith Cephus and if for some reason he's not available, you might should consider changing your date...just saying, he's that good.

I can remember when i first came encounter with the infamous kcephus, i was looking into the Chrysler museum to book my wedding, but was currently needing engagement photos. My husband and i traveled an hour and half to have our engagement photos taken, and let me tell you my husband was not at all on board until we started taking those photos! I remember my vision was a roof top theme and Keith made it happen! The photos came and they were absolutely beautiful! I also recall a time when it was time to execute with wedding plans i had called Keith, and i hadn’t booked him yet for the wedding, we had stayed on the phone for over an hour and a half just talking discussing my plans for the wedding.... i was contemplating between a wedding in Richmond/Hampton Va Beach area vs a destination wedding which seemed impossible! A person who likes to think BIG but trust me no one thinks as BIG as Keith! Let’s just say 3 months later the resort was booked and i was planning my husband and I dream destination wedding, 2 months later i booked Keith to come along and join us for our special day! I promised myself that if i was going to celebrate via destination , my husband and I unify would have to be captured in the most memorable way ever, and who better to conquer the task than Mr Cephus! We booked Keith Cephus for our wedding for October 2016 and by far he over exceeded our expectations by far! Not only did he AMAZE us with our wedding photos but we are still receiving rave reviews on how AWESOME our engagement photos were. Our wedding photos captured every moment of our wedding in such a beautiful and creative way. Keith Cephus and his entire team were so helpful and accommodating to us. We loved working with Keith as his energy during the wedding and engagement photo shoot was AWESOME! He is dedicated to making your photos beyond great. Keith and his team were not only so kind and responsive but went above any beyond using drones and made sure we were satisfied with all aspects of our photos. Keith and his assistant brought such a wonderful, high energy to our Chicago wedding weekend! They were enthusiastic from the moment they got off the plane and meticulous about getting every shot. I was recommended to Keith by a good friend of mine. I actually saw portraits he took for her when her son was born! From day one I knew I wanted Keith to do my wedding!! I was so excited to have him and he did an AMAZING job capturing the love my husband and I share. From our engagement photos, to my bridal portraits, and finally our BIG DAY, Keith, his crew, and his wife Nadine were all professional and provided us with everything we hoped for. Keith is nothing shy of an artist with his photography. He really has a PASSION and more importantly and EYE for capturing pure BLISS.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a photographer for anything! As an added plus he also captured some of my college Volleyball portraits a couple years back. He truly has a gift!

Keith Cephus Photography, is one of the best photographing companies that exist! Hands down. From ALL of my interactions with the Team from the Office Manager to the staffed photographers and of course to Keith Cephus himself have been exceptional and very pleasant.

My Husband Olu & I have been working with Keith over the past year to shoot 3-events. Our Engagement Photoshoot, Yoruba (Nigerian) Traditional Wedding Photos, and big DAY Wedding photos!!! I have been very pleased with everything I've seen thus far. The photos have been stunning and very professional!

I have been in two of my friends weddings who also used Keith as their photographer so I have seen what he does. He is hands down the BEST.Wedding photos in general are a bit pricey. But with Keith. It is worth every penny.

Photography by Keith Cephus was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Keith and his team not only possess the experience, expertise and creativity required to deliver the most amazing images but their availability and willingness to do anything to please their clients exceeded all expectations. Keith makes everyone feel like a rock star. He listens and he delivers what he promises. Also to his credit, many of his brides return later for family portraits and maternity sessions. People LOVE Keith! The details of the day will eventually fade. There was no way for me to have known what was happening in different areas as everyone was preparing for the ceremony if not for Keith or his team who were everywhere/all of the time! In the end when everything is packed away, all that is left are the images. Photography is one area you don't want to cut when you are setting your budget. Keith's price is not only fair but a great value for what is received. I strongly recommend Keith Cephus!

It is hard to imagine a more creative and professional photographer. Keith was recommended to us by another satisfied bride. He is an AMAZING photographer but more important than his skills is his attitude toward doing the same thing he has done for years and years but still finds a way to make us feel we are the most exciting and most beautiful individuals he has met! I could write a book about my experience with Mr. Keith. He did not provide a service at all. He provided me with a gift through pictures. I am blessed with the ability through his art to relive my wedding day over. I laugh at some off the picture when I recall what position he got into or his helpers got into to achieve some of my photos. His personality is strong and confident. He listened to my vision and made it happen. Some of my family thought I married a celebrity because of all the pictures. To my natural hair sisters/readers (this must be said), my hair got frizzy and I worried about how my pictures would look. I was shocked to see that my pictures were perfect. As a bride you worry about budgets and pricing. Rest assure the Photos are what you want. My home is decorated with my wedding photos. I highly and strongly recommend him. He is who he says he is. He does what he says he's going to do. He is who you want. If you want a stress free day and you want a reliable person Mr. Keith is who you want. Keith captured our wedding day in such an AMAZING way!!! His work is truly art and could not have asked for better photos. Keith was a true joy to work with! Keith was recommended to us by another photographer and I am so glad we were able to work together. Keith did our engagement photos, bridal photos and our wedding pictures. All of them turned out absolutely stunning. Keith was great to work with at each photo opportunity. My husband hates having his pictures taken and even he had a great time working with Keith. His professionalism is wonderful but he keeps everything fun. Exceptonal photos, unobtrusive yet very professional capturing the essence the ceremony and reception. Keith was very personable and accommodating, especially to the elderly attending. He was expedient in posting the pictures online and sending me the CD with all the pictures taken at the event.

We were extremely happy with the entire affair and we would use him again and I would recommend him to anyone needing an excellent photographer.

He is definitely what you call "a work of art".. I'm just so so happy that my husband and I had this great opportunity to share the most special day of our lives with a talented man such as Keith.. He just made me feel like a model straight out of a magazine .. He captured every moment "not missing a beat". He kept a professional demeanor at all times and believe it or not he just made us feel so very comfortable as if we were working with a long time good friend..

As the saying goes, "hands down, he is the best of the best"..

I was wish him many many more blessing, I can truly say he was a gift from God for my husband and I on our special day.. Because of him I have those beautiful moments to cherish in photographs for the rest of our lives..

There is so much to say about Keith and his work and his style of photography but I don't have enough to write on. Keith is definitely amazing as was his team, his wife Nadine is always a pleasure to communicate with as well. When searching for a photographer to me it was very important to have the best that will capture beyond the obvious, my husband is in a wheelchair and I was looking for the right one to make us even more amazing than we are and to not take the obvious pictures and he captured all of that. He made both us of comfortable and feel like two models. He'll always be a friend for life, you can't go wrong with hiring him! ( our wedding date was 11/2/13)

Keith made my wedding day complete! He tagged along with us the entire day, snapping pictures non-stop and capturing the special moments of my wedding. I felt like I was a celebrity for a day! He playfully encouraged my wedding party to let go and have fun. In the end, I was impressed by his professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail. Keith is an extremely talented photographer because he takes an artistic approach to photographing and he works hard to get all the best angles and lighting. Some have an eye for photographing and some don't. Keith has an eye for it! I also want to mention Keith's wife Nadine, who handles the business end of the company. She is so sweet and so helpful and she communicated perfectly with me every step of the way.

Keith is amazing! He arrived with his two assistants and after introducing himself and his crew, he was ready to start his photo shoot! He and his team are extremely personable and laid back which made me (and the entire bridal party) far more relaxed prior to starting the pictures. We laughed throughout the entire session (pre, during, and post wedding) and had a great time! Keith and his crew took tons of pictures and he takes the time to come up with endless neat poses, backdrops, etc. He also offered praise to his assistants whenever they did an exceptional job with the lighting which was nice to see. He interacted with all of the guests and made sure that we were photographed with anyone and anything that we desired. I have never been one to enjoy having my picture taken, but with Keith and his team I actually found myself looking forward to the next shot! I can't post this review without mentioning Keith's wife Nadine who handled all of the business side of the deal. She is one of the people that you feel like you have known for years despite having never met in person. She was so kind and compassionate each time I spoke with her on the phone. Keith Cephus Photography was awesome and I cannot wait to see all of the pictures and get our beautiful bound photo book. I will definitely book Keith again should I need a photographer and would highly recommend him! P.S. His assistant Matt killed it with the lighting:)

Keith is a true artist. His passion for photography is evident in the amount of energy he will put into your day. My friends and family cannot stop admiring the amazing photos that he took. There are no words to fully capture the professionalism and extraordinary personal experience we have received with Keith Cephus Photography. Nadine and Keith truly gave us 'the best of the best' of experiences! Keith's electrifying personality is simply unequaled...Nadine's attention to detail is unbelievable! Keith has taken pictures of some very famous subjects...but when my daughter was in front of his camera he treated her like she was the most important and beautiful person he'd ever taken pictures of...and I thank them so much for that! During her bridal portrait shoot and wedding, she felt like and was treated like a queen. There are not enough great things I could say about Keith! I found his work on a wedding website two years before I was even engaged and I knew I had to have him do my wedding! Keith has done two engagement sessions and our wedding. His work is creative and one of a kind. His crew is so professional and his office manager Nadine is the greatest and so prompt!

Keep an open mind when working with Keith. He may have you laying in mud while holding an umbrella, but I can guarantee your photos will be incredible!!! I would recommend him over and over and OVER again. He has so much insight on more than just photography and is a great guy overall.

After working with him it feels like we are family now! Can't wait to take more photos with him soon!

Keith is an amazing photographer with an unique ability to capture the very essence of who you are in absolutely breathtaking images that you'll love to share with anyone who'll look!! Even if you (or your spouse-to-be) are "camera shy" or simply hate having your picture taken you will fall in love with Keith and his photography style. First, our wedding was in Cape May, NJ and even though Keith is from VA he arrived early enough to explore the town and be prepared to tell the story of our day. Second, you'll feel like royalty as he photographs all of your details and "getting-ready" fun. He even took my fiancé around town, in his wedding outfit, prior to the ceremony for some fun photo opportunities (and my fiancé is one of the afore mentioned who hates having their picture taken). Third, he "sees" a picture in the most unique of settings he is NOT shy. He asked a complete stranger if we could borrow their bicycle for a fun idea he had, then he just walked into the middle of the street and held up traffic to photograph my fiancé on the bike and me chasing him - too fun! Fourth, you can't wear him out! He was with us from the time we started getting ready until we wrapped the night up around 10:00 - and had creative ideas all day and all night. Fifth, behind the scenes is Nadine, Keith's office manager and she is so incredibly responsive to inquiries and accommodating! I enjoyed talking to and working with Nadine, she was able to make some last minute changes for us and kept us up-to-date on picture status. Finally, the pictures! Oh the amazing, wonderful, unique (I could go on and on with positive adjectives) pictures! I really am at a loss for words as to how I felt looking at our pictures, Keith captured the day perfectly! Everyone who sees our pictures are amazed - I've been told numerous times that my pictures look like something you would see in a magazine. Not only are they beautiful but they made me doubly glad that I decided NOT to have the wedding videoed - there is no need for video with Keith. I used the pictures he took in DVD, set to the music played during our ceremony and reception and it told the story perfectly!

Keith and his staff did not miss one detail of our wedding! They were wonderful without being obtrusive. Keith knew exactly when to grab us for the perfect photo opp. - and he captured so many!!! It was important to me to be at cocktail hour with our guests so we took a lot of formal pictures before the wedding so that could happen. His work is exceptional, and he captures the special moments so perfectly!!! I love that I'll be able to look at our photos for the rest of my life and immediately be transported back to our wedding day because of how precise and beautiful Keith captured everything. I couldn't be happier!!!

Having Keith Cephus photograph my wedding actually came as a last minute decision. We had a designated photographer up until 2 months before my wedding that fell through and Keith Cephus was the FIRST photographer I contacted. My initial photographer was my stepfather, so Keith being 2nd in line obviously speaks of how highly trusted and recommended he is by both myself and the Hampton Roads community! I sent him an email with all my initial information... he replied with a phone call. That's just how Keith is... very diligent in responding and very hands on. His professionalism and attention to detail was amazing and HIGHLY appreciated. "Mr. Cephus" (as I candidly call him now) and his team went above and beyond on my wedding day and I will forever appreciate that... They know it. Will be returning for a 'Trash the Dress' session and 'official' family pictures VERY soon. Thanks guys :-)

Keith was so friendly and personable in our meeting and yes, the photos are EPIC! He made me feel truely beautiful on my special day and people that knew me told me I should go into modeling after his pictures. The most important thing is that he capture me and my husband's day and we have the most beautiful pictures of the day that I will remember forever. I have heard horror stories from brides who didn't think the photographer was a big deal and agonized over their photos. It was truly an investment and I frequently take out our wedding album and fall in love with the day all over again. Thank you Keith for making our day memorable and capturing our love.

Keith is much more than an amazing photographer. He is extremely resourceful in the wedding industry and has a network of only the best, as well as a listening ear and voice of reason to calm any nervous bride. Once you sign your contract and work with Nadine his professional and personable office manager and lovely wife; I can vow that you will no longer have to worry about photos capturing the story of your day, glamorous photos or traditional photos. Keith brings HEAT with his cameras with priceless creativity, all you'll need to bring is your love!

We used Keith Cephus Photography for our engagement session and the wedding. He was AMAZING!!! I was stationed in AZ and my husband lived in Philly so planning a long distance wedding was challlenging. Keith was patient with me and worked with my schedule for when we'd be coming home to VA for the enagagement shoot. His creativity was endless and when those pictures came out, all I can say is "WOW!"
Then for our wedding, he was on time and professional. He went above and beyond!!! Our limo never showed up for the wedding, Keith and his staff not only calmed us down but they took us to the wedding in his classy and shiek SUV.
I had a large wedding party and wedding....11 bridesmaids and over 600 guests. Keith and his team worked with everyone and was everywhere. When the pictures came out, I was AMAZED that he was able to capture EVERYTHING!!! Plus the pictures didn't even take long to come out and they were EPIC!!!
Prior to getting Keith Cephus Photography, I did an extensive interview asking him questions on his style, I talked to people I knew who had experienced his work because this being a Nigerian wedding with a large guest count, I wanted our culture to be captured and I feel that he did just that. His positive energy was contagious through out the process.
I say to all brides out there, Keith is worth it!!! One thing that my husband and I considered prior to reserving Keith was this:
On the wedding day, you can have the fabulous lights, decor, etc. but if you don't have the right photographer to capture its essence, then it will defeat the efforts. Also, years from now, when everyone has forgotten the food, venue, ambiance, etc., the only thing you both will have is the memory of the wedding from the pictures so PLEASE don't cut corners when it comes to photography....his photos are PRICELESS!!!

Phenomenal photogapher. Best in the area and his career is exploding at an extraordinary rate. He is definitely an artist and considers lighting, the personal style of the couple, and goes outside the norm. Almost everyone of my guests commented about his talent (when viewing the engagement slideshow)and how his work was the best that they have seen. Keith makes the photo shoots. Highly recommend booking him ASAP before the date is taken-he is that good.

Well, Keith Cephus is the most unbelievable photographer that I have ever come across. There are no words that describe what he sees through his camera lens. He captures breathtaking moments. I used him to photograph my daughter's wedding that was held at the Chrysler Museum of Art on August 26, 2011. Go to his website, because only his portfolio show you how great he is. Keith Cephus was beyond extrodinary!! He was extremely professional, creative, innovative, funny and very people oriented. Keith was the main thing that we WOULD NOT trade or skip for anything else...NOT NEGOTIABLE. He had a way of telling our story in a unique and special way. We had a blast on the engagement photo shoot and the wedding was unbelieveable. We havent seen our wedding pics yet but they were anything like our engagement photos (which were featured in Essence.com)...they will be nothing short of FABULOUS!!! If you're looking for the best.....you will find it with Keith Cephus and his wonderful staff and WELL WORTH the cost!!!!!!!!!!!

The photographer and his crew were personable and professional from our initial booking until the follow up 3 weeks after the wedding. During our session, KC got us outside of our comfort zones and the results were amazing. It never felt like a cookie cutter experience were you see several couples on the website doing the exact same move. Every picture encompassed some special moment or thought going through our heads. Aside from the actual picture taking, he mingled and joked with our families which speaks volumes as to the kind of person he is. We wish him the best. Best money I ever spent.

If I was a millionaire...I wouldve STILL chosen Keith Cephus to photograph my wedding. HE will be the BEST thing you could do for yourself for your wedding!!!! Pictures last longer than ANY OTHER item, its what immortalizes you and your guests...and NO ONE will make you look BETTER than Keith!!!!!! NO ONE!!! I CANNOT SAY THAT ENOUGH!!!!!! He also will make you feel more comfortable in front of a camera than anyone else. He guides you through every minute and puts you at ease like NO ONE ELSE could do!! I ACTUALLY MISS HIM!!! WHO MISSES their photographer??? YES HES THATTTT GOOD!!!!

Keith is absolutely amazing! He makes you feel like a supermodel during the shoot and then amazes you when you look like a supermodel in the final photos! I would highly recommend Keith for any type of event, especially your wedding.

There is no adjective to accurately describe how AWESOME Keith Cephus photography is. They say that a photo is a worth a thousand words and when you see Keith's work you know it's more than true. Nadine, the office manager, is great and flexible to work with. Keith and his crew are extremely profession and on point with just everything. Keith's creativity makes each photo nothing short of amazing!! For my wedding, he came with an assistant and his own lighting guy. He is not intrusive at all, yet he captured all the special moments of my day. I would highly recommend him for anyone needing a photographer!!!!

When its all said and done all you have left are your new spouse and your pictures. My photos were amazing in every aspect. Keith did a wonderful job of capturing my special day in all of its beauty. He is certainly at the top of his game. I was initially nervous about the price point and my budget but it was more than worth it.

Keith Cephus Photography is amazing! Keith made sure to go above and beyond to exceed all of our expectations and make our day absolutely perfect! Keith Cephus Photography was not only the best decision I made during the wedding process but I continually get asked, "Who did your wedding album?" and I love referring people to him! I only have one regret: Not taking MORE pictures! Now I wish I had done engagement photos, trash the dress, and just more!!! Thank you Keith for capturing the best day of our lives :)

My wedding was in July, so it was extremely humid. When the pictures were posted you couldn't even tell that we were sweating! The quality of the picutres were absolutely amazing and it was a blast working with Keith. He made me feel super comfortable & definitely helped me not be so nervous! I recommend Keith to any girl out there who wants to feel & look like a princess on their wedding day!!

I admired Keith Cephus' photography style years before I was able to have him as my wedding photographer. Keith Cephus photography is out of this world. Walking into Maya Couture, I fell in love with his photography. The family run business is everything you can ask for on your wedding day. They are professionals, incredibly personable, and the creativity is out of this world. His portfolio includes everything from brides to models, football games and even President Obama. Most of all, he makes you feel at home and you have a lot of fun! With almost no time on the actual wedding day, he shot the most amazing pictures. He's pricey but worth it.

I would DEFINITELY recommend Keith Cephus for your photography! He did an AMAZING job on our wedding. We were blown away when we saw the pictures. Keith and his team were so much fun to work with - I think they were having as much fun as we were! If you want your pictures to look awesome and be a constant memory of one of the happiest days of your life - then I would go with Keith Cephus. He is worth every penny!!

Keith is an amazing photographer! We wanted to ensure that we would love EVERY photo EVERY time we looked at them, and he surpassed all of our wishes. Keith is a fun guy to be around who really knows how to have a great time with his clients and pull the best out of them. Our photos have been amazing and we get compliments on them from every person that has seen them.. Keith did an amazing job at photographing my daughter's wedding. Not only did he provide us with beautiful pictures from the engagement session, to the Bridal session, to the wedding day events, but he also was able to capture the emotions that went along with the pictures. We can look at all the photographs and relive the day over and over. He was very creative in putting together an awesome video of the engagement and bridal session. We love all he did and working with Keith was so much fun. His wife Nadine was also a joy to talk to over the phone to set up the different photo shoots and answer all of our questions. It's obvious that he loves what he does and he does a very good job. We would highly recommend him.

Keith is awesome!! He has an eye that captures just the right moment at just the right time. He is also very creative, patient, flexible and is a good guy with a good sense of humor. Keith not only did our wedding but, also my bridal portraits at Botanical Gardens. I especially love my bridal portraits, it was so hard to choose just one for the wedding day because there were so many good ones to choose from. My maid of honor and my mother went with me and Keith interacted with them very well. We all had a good time that day and now I have beautiful pictures that show it. On our wedding day, Keith captured the details from my shoes to the rings to the champagne flutes decorated with purple orchids. He made our wedding look like one of those weddings you see on TV. Keith and his wife Nadine are a perfect team and answered all of our questions/concerns quickly and professionally. The quality of the pictures and his above & beyond skill level make him a phenomenal photographer and the perfect choice for any special event.
