From start to finish, Katrina was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was incredibly responsive, making it so easy to schedule both the trial and the wedding day services. France’s, who did both my trial and the hair and makeup for my mom and me on the wedding day, was an absolute gem. She was so friendly, personable, and immediately put us at ease. I got the wonderful opportunity to have Brittney as my hair and makeup artist for my October 2025 wedding and could not have been more ecstatic about the results on my wedding day. Like most brides, my hair and makeup was one of my biggest concerns because every bride wants to feel good on their wedding day. Brittney went far and above my expectations. She listened to the concerns I had about my features and what I wanted/what I didn’t want, all while being honest and providing feedback from her professional point of view. I have gotten my hair and makeup done many times over the years, but this was by far the best. Every bride’s dream! I felt so confident and beautiful on my wedding day and I truly could not recommend her enough.

A dear friend and I got to have the blessing of learning makeup and skincare from the fabulous Katrina Michelle herself!
We focused on makeup application and skincare care. I had personally given up and felt overwhelmed by what skincare and makeup to even wear anymore. We started learning about skin care and worked our way up to makeup. Not only did we learn how to apply it but we got to learn the whys behind each product. At the end of our makeup lesson, Katrina made a custom list of products for each of us that we could go buy. She is incredible and highly knowledgeable. When we finished, I felt empowered and beautiful. I highly recommend her services!

Our hair and makeup artists were fantastic. She travelled to me for my trial and listened to all of my goals for my wedding look. After the trial we decided to pivot on one part of the look for the wedding day and it was perfect. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome for the day! My bridesmaids each wanted different hair and makeup looks. The artists listened to them and everyone was thrilled with how they looked. They were efficient and met the time estimate they thought to get everyone done. I highly recommend!

Frances was my hair and makeup artist for my wedding day, and Sophia helped with my bridesmaids. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Great services, nice & kind ladies
Brittney did the make up for myself, the bride, and I think 8+ other ladies on my wedding day. Sophia did a lot of our hair! They both were so professional and gave really good directives and were super organized and staying on task and time. Brittney especially was helpful in the trial Hair & Makeup, where she recommended face masks, extension types, and even a hair color for my sister which she is absolutely obsessed with. Brittany is very professional and obviously very experienced. I personally worked less with Sophia, but the girls said that she did a great job at accommodating their desires and making any changes they requested. Everyone felt very beautiful and there was many different styles and approaches from each girl that they were working with well! Would recommend Katrina’s team and Brittney especially!!

I had my hair and makeup done and I honestly couldn’t have loved it more. I have naturally curly hair and usually feel unsure about how it will turn out when someone else styles it, but Katrina totally understood my curls and made them look defined, soft, and effortless without overdoing it.
My makeup was exactly what I wanted, super natural, glowy, and dewy while still making me feel put together and confident. I also wore false lashes for the first time ever, but they were so comfortable and natural-looking that I forgot I even had them on and ended up loving them.
She made the whole experience fun, relaxed, and stress-free, and I felt so confident all night. I would 100% recommend Katrina to anyone, especially if you want to look like the best version of yourself and still feel like you.

We were very last minute on our booking for our elopement and Katrina was spot on even responded during a flight with texting and called me when she landed! Stellar!
Brittney came to our suite arriving right on time as scheduled fully prepared and professional! I had sent inspirational photos of hair and makeup that she replicated beautifully. Elopement Bridal Makeup
Katrina and her team did an incredible job! I called Katrina on a Saturday afternoon about 2 months before our elopement (we live in Alabama) and she took my call and was so nice and was able to set me up with someone from her team do my bridal hair and makeup while we were staying in Santa Cruz, CA. She was very responsive through the whole process (which was an easy process). Her artist was on time and had my hair and makeup done in 2hr. She really captured my vision of wanting my hair and makeup to look natural and effortless. My hair looked great all day (I wore my hair natural and she curled some pieces). My makeup looked beautiful all day even through the tears. Couldn’t recommend her and her team enough!!

Natural but stunning/elevated wedding makeup! Book them!
Just wow! Katrina's team is incredible. I have never felt more beautiful in my life. Frances absolutely crushed it and I could not be happier that I chose to work with Katrina and her HMU artists. Every single one of my bridesmaids was happy with their hair/makeup. I repeat every single one! I am positive that I have never been part of a wedding where everyone was happy with the final product. They were grateful that each artist listened to what they wanted, checked in throughout the process, and actually followed through on what they had talked about. Everyone looked natural and not overdone. We all were an elevated and polished version of ourselves. Even though Katrina does not live in California, it was not an issue whatsoever! She was very responsive and it is clear how much her team trusts and respects her. They are a well oiled machine.

Frances, Danielle and Brianna, helped do hair and makeup for 10 women for my Monterey, CA wedding. They were all AMAZING at what they did but also friendly and engaging with everyone in the party. Francis was the stylist from Katrina's team who did my hair & makeup and she gave me exactly what I wanted for my wedding day look. Francis was amazing; not only did my look last all night, but the makeup was natural and had a lovely glow.
Katrina was really responsive when helping me figure out extensions, which was a big relief. My bridesmaids were also very happy with their hair and makeup, and we all felt beautiful throughout the day. Ashley was the other stylist who did makeup for the bridesmaids, and she was fantastic as well. Francis and Ashley also made it a super fun morning, we had a great time with them and were super comfortable in their hands!
I would recommend Katrina Michelle's team for their talent in hair and makeup. The looks they created lasted all day and fit our natural, woodsy vibe perfectly.

This team is absolutely AMAZING! We had Frances for our hair and Nancy for our makeup and there is not one thing I would have changed for anyone’s hair or makeup. Every single lady in my bridal party look flawless and I have honestly never felt more gorgeous in my life. The make was stunning, Nancy is a true amazing artist. France’s had a big job on her hands, I have extremely thick hair and it is more than halfway down my back so my hair alone took a long time but most of my bridal party either had thick hair, long hair or a combo of thick and long hair. Every hairstyle was perfection and looked just right. I honestly cant say enough good things about our experience. Katrina was also great to work with, she was very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was set up ahead of the big day. I’m so glad I chose Katrina and her team. I was a bit nervous booking a MUA for my small destination wedding, but Katrina made the process very smooth. My stylist was Brianna and she was just a sweetheart to work with. Very easy going and was open to my feedback. My first trial didn’t go as planned and Katrina offered to do another trial and it was way better! I was very happy to get another trial and meant a lot to me that Katrina felt the same way. She just wanted to see me happy-and I was!! For the big day, we had to go for plan b for my hair due to the humidity but it came out awesome! And can’t say enough about my makeup-I loved it! All of the girls getting glam that day were so happy as well! Overall, the entire process from start to finish was amazing. Communication and professionalism was on point! It was a pleasure working with Katrina and her team from the very beginning! Katrina was very helpful and responsive in getting me scheduled for my trial. I realized immediately after meeting Francys that she was super friendly and was relaxing to talk to during 1.5+ hair & make up! The day of the wedding Francys and Ashley felt like part of the crew we all giggled while getting ready and they made every single one of us feel gorgeous. A piece of individual feedback my bridesmaid, Marla, wanted me to pass along was that she fell asleep (drunk) in her hair and make up and had to get up at 4am to go to work the next morning and she got compliments on her hair and make up ALL DAY and was even asked if she was going to a photo shoot later. Amazing job to the whole team!!

I was coming from out of town and Katrina made everything so easy from beginning to end. Frances did my bridal hair and makeup and she knocked it out of the park. Her team listened to us in that we were going for a more natural look since my wedding was on a ranch and didn’t push anything we didn’t want on us. I was very nervous about booking HMU for my wedding since I don't wear much make-up day to day. Frances and Brianna were amazing! Perfect in Every Way
I enthusiastically recommend working with Katrina Michelle Hair and Make up. I specifically worked with Brianna for my wedding, but communicated with Katrina when I first reached out. They were both thoughtful, professional, and made me feel heard, understood, and truly adored for my wedding and engagement shoot. I felt glowing and beautiful. I am not much of a make up wearer in my day to day life as a middle school teacher, so it was important for me to look beautiful, but still look like me. Brianna was able to achieve that balance. It was perfect. I also struggle with chronic pain, and Brianna made adjustments so that I could be comfortable while she worked. She was a caring and joyful person to have help me kick off my love day. Again, I can’t recommend her enough. Her presence is warm and endearing. It felt like hanging out with a friend.
I know choosing someone to do your hair and make up can be a big decision, but I can’t recommend Brianna and Katrina enough!

Katrina was AMAZING. She is incredibly talented, so sweet and kind, and really made sure that I looked and felt so beautiful on our wedding day! Her and the team of artists were so FUN - everyone really added to us all getting ready in the morning in such a positive way. Katrina was the undisputed MVP of my wedding and I don’t even know where to begin my praise-rant. I have overflowing gratitude for her commitment to absolute perfection. There were so many unknowns with my hair and makeup. We hadn’t had a test run because of distance so I was in a state of total anxiety. Complicate that with a lack of wifi at the hotel so I couldn’t show her my ideas for hair styles, which of course I changed at the very last minute. Plus the hotel had dim lighting, my aggressive dog was on a tear, and I was scrambling to wrap up my vows during the makeup process. Pure chaos. Katrina over delivered to an extent I cannot describe. I have never felt so beautiful and so myself at the SAME TIME. She really listened when I chimed in on my worries and preferences and adjusted. She knew when to be firm and gentle with a neurotic bride. Bonus: Not many people understand what tones work best for redheads, but she nailed it. I would not hesitate for even a second to hire her again. For anything. As a speech therapist, words are kind of my thing, but what she did for me on my wedding day is BEYOND expression.

Katrina did a truly beautiful job for my bridal hair and makeup. I wanted a bohemian retro hairdo and classic makeup, and she knew exactly what to do. I did not get a chance to do a test run because of my availability limitations and she was incredibly flexible around that, and made me feel exactly how I wanted to even without a test run. She was also very comforting and flexible around some logistical issues that occurred that day which I truly appreciated. She made me feel beautiful and stress free, and her services were fairly priced. I would absolutely recommend Katrina’s services for an easy and beautiful experience.

I can’t recommend Katrina enough. She did my hair and makeup for my small Big Sur wedding, and she did an amazing job...while also being super nice and fun. She asked questions, listened to my answers, made sure everything was what I wanted, and made me look exactly how I always dreamed I would. Additionally, my makeup held up through crying and hours of exploring around outside. I researched a ton of people before choosing Katrina, and I’m so glad I ended up picking her. It also was super convenient and easy that she does both hair and makeup. I was very thankful to have one less person to communicate with. My sisters chose to do their own makeup/hair to save money, but Katrina even went above and beyond by giving them some tips and sharing some makeup. I just loved her and I hope to use her again in the future for other events.

She was very professional, kind, talented, and listened to what I had envisioned for my hair and make-up. She has a talent for brining out the natural beauty so the bride still looks like themself on their wedding day. Katrina did my hair and make up for my bridals 3 days before my wedding but she was booked and unavailable to do my hair and makeup on my actual wedding day. I had no idea how much I took my experience with Katrina for granted. My wedding day stylist was terrible and it was a nightmare. The other artist didn’t have the right shades of make up for my foundation, she didn’t listen to what I wanted, and I ended up not looking at all like myself. I kept showing the artist pictures from my bridals and she wasn’t even able to come close to replicating Katrina’s work. I was so disappointed and cried off all of the make up on the way to the ceremony. The money I spent on the make up artist was a complete waste as I tried fixing up my own makeup. Katrina texted me after my ceremony and after she was done with her other bride that morning to see how everything went. When I told her what happened she met me before my reception started to re-do my makeup! She went above and beyond to make my day special. I knew I could trust Katrina and it helped me feel at peace and calm to know that I was in her care and that she could work her magic. I don’t normally leave reviews but her talent and customer service were incredible and I would 1000% recommend her to any bride.

Delighted with my hair and makeup!
My husband and I are from the UK but had chosen to have a small, intimate wedding in Monterey, California. I was therefore unable to have a trial before my wedding day but Katrina was amazing and managed to create my perfect bridal look (hair and makeup) on the day itself. I showed her some photos and we had a chat and she understood exactly the look I was hoping to achieve. She put me and my bridal party at ease; was fun to chat to and very professional. She also made my mum look and feel beautiful with the hair and makeup she did for her. She helped out my little sis with some last minute hair prep as Katrina had time to spare and my sister was running a little behind! Her team was quick, efficient, and had us out the door on time even though we were running late on our own. Amazing hair & makeup!
Katrina is AMAZING! She did my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot in Big Sur in March 2018. My hair held up in the wind and rain and still looked amazing! She did exactly what I wanted for my makeup and couldn't have been happier. I would 100% use her again for hair and makeup!!!

Katrina is a true artist. I am still in awe of how talented she is at BOTH hair and makeup.
She came and did makeup for myself, my sister-in-law and our mothers for my wedding in January 2019. Katrina was on time, organized and was such a pleasure to work with. She really helped the day run smoothly!
We ended up changing quite a few things from my trial (her work was flawless, I just changed my mind) and what I really appreciated was she was super supportive and ready with suggestions if I wanted to change something. My day-of nerves completely melted away as she was working on my hair and makeup and it turned out better than I could have imagined!

Exceptional with Curly Hair!
I have naturally curly hair and wanted to make sure that whoever I had do my hair for my wedding knew how to work with curls. I wanted to accentuate them and play them up not hide them in an up-do. Everyone I spoke to didn’t have experience with curls or only ever put them up. Then I found Katrina. Not only does she know how to work with natural curls she LOVES working with them. She did my trial right before my engagement pictures and I was blown away with her work! My curls looked great and had tons of volume and personality. I told her I don’t wear a lot of makeup and she made it look VERY natural and I didn’t feel like I had pounds of makeup on my face. Wedding day rolls around and once again she did OUTSTANDING work. All of our makeup look natural and elegant. I asked her to do a classy half up look so I wasn’t constantly pushing hair out of my face all night. She did a loose curly pull back that my veil sat right under and it was beautiful! I could not be any happier with how everything turned out. She is incredibly talented and sweet and I would recommend her to anyone with any kid of hair but if you have super curly hair Katrina is your girl!

Great Experience
Katrina is amazing. I contacted her barely 6 weeks out from my elopement and she responded quickly and was available so I booked her as fast as I could. I live three hours away from Monterey and didn't have time to come down for a trial before our wedding, but I could tell from her Instagram feed that she was amazing and I had nothing to worry about, and I was right. She did both my hair and my makeup, and her pricing was fair. She stayed in communication with me in the weeks leading up to our elopement and the day of she arrived on time. The whole process went smoothly, and she's just a sweet, wonderful person to be around. I felt like I was just hanging out with a longtime girlfriend, and that made me feel happy and relaxed on my big day. I would definitely hire her again if I got to do it all over again, and I may just do that in the future for a vow renewal. :)

10/10 & 100% - You need to work with Katrina
I'm not one who writes a lot of reviews but Katrina is deserving of the highest praise. From the moment I discovered her in my research, I knew she was the only person I would feel comfortable with creating not only my bridal 'look' but that of my bridesmaids as well. From start to finish, Katrina was a constant support and voice of inspiration, full of ideas and suggestions to make the entire bridal party really sparkle. We couldn't have been in more capable hands.
Katrina's personality is incredibly calming and understanding and she is an absolute pleasure to be around, and especially on such a hectic and emotional day. Katrina arrived early bursting with energy and excitement -- she is truly obsessed with her art and that passion comes through in every woman she works with. My bridesmaids, my mother and my aunt all adored her and they are a lot of personality to navigate :)
Katrina will quickly gain your trust and you will feel so well taken care of. She took my vision and made it better - I looked and felt absolutely stunning and so did all of my girls. Katrina makes magic happen. I cannot recommend her enough. Do yourselves a favor and call her!

Katrina was absolutely amazing! You will completely set you at ease and make you feel stunning on one of the most special days of your life. I could not be happier with having chosen Katrina to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day. Beginning from the first moment I met her when we did the trial run, I knew I had found the right person. She was phenomenal, listened to what I wanted and executed it better than I could have imagined.
She did the hair and make up for my mom and mother in law as well. Both of them loved working with her just as much as I did. Both of them continue to rave about their experience with her and how gorgeous they felt.

I never looked this gorgeous!
I absolutely love the hair and makeup Katrina created for my big day. I showed her a picture and my hair turned out even better then on the pictures. I normally don’t wear makeup but but she make me look so gorgeous I will from now on. She was attentive and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone! I highly recommend Katrina!!!
I am SO happy that I booked Katrina for my special day! I was an out of town bride and booked all my vendors remotely and when it came to looking for someone to do my hair and makeup, I was both nervous and intimidated during my search as I have had some not so great experiences in the past w/ getting my makeup done for other events so I was being very picky and really taking my time during my search. When I finally found Katrina and discovered she was available, I did not think twice and booked her right away. Besides her great reviews, from browsing her instagram I fell in love with how natural her looks on her brides were and how everyone looked like a better version of themselves which was super important to me. I could also tell that she was versatile and could do different looks for both hair/makeup so I knew that flexibility and skill would be great to work with to achieve the look I wanted for my big day. Since I was an out of town bride I didn't get a chance to do an earlier trail so we did one the day before my wedding which actually worked out perfect because I was dolled up for my rehearsal dinner & I actually preferred doing it the day before as at that point I knew exactly what I envisioned for my hair/makeup since the day was right around the corner. Starting with the trial Katrina made me feel so comfortable and asked me questions about my style/skin/what I normally did etc. I never felt pressured to go for a certain look or go in a direction that wasn't "me" which I so appreciated. On my wedding day she showed up early, got all set up and went to work! As she completed something she'd ask me my thoughts and if I wanted to add anything etc. She kept me comfortable from start to finish and I can honestly say I never felt more beautiful than I did that day, thanks to her! She also did my Mom's makeup & my bridesmaids hair and makeup and they all looked beautiful!! I HIGHLY recommend Katrina for your special day, you will feel like a better version of yourself and you will not regret it one bit!

My experiences with Katrina from the trial to my wedding day were wonderful! My trial was a great experience-she took my inspiration photos and new just how to tailor what I wanted in a way that fit my face and my hair. She recommended hair extensions and that was great advice (I recommend Luxy). There were some slight things that I wanted to change from my trial, and she delivered on all of my points. She also did a great job on my mother-in-laws hair and offered some last minute make-up assistance as well. 10/10 would recommend working with Katrina (:

I originally found her by checking out my venue (Gardener Ranch's) Instagram! I was browsing peoples post/tags and kept getting drawn to people who were posting themselves with the most gorgeous braids! && I already knew I wanted to incorporate a hair braid into my look so seeing this just made it seem like fate! I never did my trial run as my job keeps me REALLY busy and planning a wedding in one year was a lot to take on! But the day of my wedding we discussed the look I wanted and it came out perfectly! I am not one to really wear make up or do my hair (like ever) we did the airbrush makeup and my face had never looked better! I could not recommend her more! I constantly tell my clients if they are looking for someone to do their hair and makeup to reach out to Katrina!

Katrina is incredible! My wedding party, my mom and I have never felt so beautiful. She listens to exactly what you want, she will make suggestions to improve the look and super easy to communicate with.
Katrina went above and beyond for everyone on the day and brought such a positive energy to the room. Katrina took the time to get to know my personal style and aesthetic, patiently helped my mom choose from the millions of looks she was mulling over, and even cleaned up my maid of honor's brows to help make her eyes pop.
Katrina is truly a master of her craft. No one is used to seeing me with makeup or my hair done, so I was worried I wouldn't look like myself. Katrina created the most perfect natural look, that enhanced all of my features and looked immaculate in hi-res photos. My hair kept shape all night long, even after my veil tried to fly away in the wind.
All of my bridesmaids and my mom (who is notoriously difficult) were THRILLED with Katrina. I wish I could work with her every day!

Hiring Katrina for my wedding hair and makeup was one of the BEST decisions I made during the wedding planning process. She did such an amazing job, my hair and makeup turned out exactly the way I wanted and I couldn't have been happier! She was such a joy to work with and brought such a calming presence to the morning of, which was greatly appreciated. I had an idea of how I wanted my hair for my wedding but I had a hard time deciding if it was “the look” when it came to the trial. Katrina could read my mind without me having to say anything, thought quick on her feet and came up with something beautiful. For my wedding, she gave me incredible lashes, a hairstyle that was even better than the inspiration, and makeup that enhanced my natural beauty. She came prepared - I wasn't entirely sure on what I wanted to do with my hair and had a few options and accessories and she came up with something that I didn't think of and I loved it! She took her time and really listened to what I wanted during the hair and makeup trial and made me feel really comfortable throughout the whole process so I knew it would turn our perfectly for our wedding. I received so many compliments that day and I'm reminded of how great of a job she did every time I look at our wedding photos! She also did my mothers hair and makeup as well as a few of my bridesmaids. Everyone looked gorgeous and I am so happy with how everything turned out! Katrina is absolutely the best! I am not someone who likes the look or feel of heavy makeup, so I used to avoid wearing it altogether. That was until I had Katrina come and teach my mom, sister, and I how to do our own. She worked miracles on all of us. Now every time I put my makeup on I not only feel beautiful, but I still look like myself just improved a bit. I would recommend Katrina to anyone!!
