Every year, me and my now fiancé take holiday photos together with our dogs with Katrin. She is absolutely wonderful, patient with the dogs, and so talented! She makes the experience so easy, the time flies by! & I’m always so happy when we get the photos back :) -

Warm, yet professional with a passion for composition
I’ll echo what’s been said here before to underscore Katrin’s ability to draw out the personalities of a couple in engagement photos. The experience, which can easily be awkward for a couple, was fun! She provided just the right amount of direction to guide the final result without it feeling forced or artificial.
As someone who is critical of myself in photos, I was overjoyed to see how flattering and beautiful the finished images were. I enthusiastically recommend her services to any couple.
As an aside, while Katrin can capture any couple in a flattering manner, I would additionally recommend her to any couple that would fall in the “offbeat” category. All too often your average wedding and engagement photographers can make couples of an “offbeat” nature feel self-conscious about self-presentation/ideas, but she embraces all kinds of couples with enthusiasm and understanding. If you fall into that category in some manner, consider this an additional recommendation in that direction! -

We are so happy with our engagement photos that Katrin took in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. From the very beginning, Katrin was responsive and professional. On the day of the shoot, she arrived on time and was a pleasure to work with. We received our photos about two weeks later and cannot stop looking at them! They came out so beautiful; it was hard to choose the ones we would use for our save the date and wedding website - they were all wonderful! We couldn't recommend her more. She is the best photographer I have ever met & worked with ..(& I use to model). Her work speaks for itself. I first met Katrin in the middle of winter in NYC for my engagement photo shoot. I was late (SO late) & she stuck it out in the cold and waited til we got there. She immediately made us feel welcome & we started the photo shoot. She captured every laugh, smile & emotion so effortlessly. She made us laugh & feel comfortable being photographed which is a skill most photographers do not have. My husband & I have never laughed so much together. Immediately we hired her for our wedding. Needless to say, the photos from the wedding are incredible!!
Also, I think everyone should be able to
look back and love photos of themselves. Not in a vain way, but to look at a photo and it takes you back in time. It makes you smile and feel all the happiness from that one moment. It’s especially important when it’s an engagement or wedding photo shoot. That being said I find it extremely difficult in today’s photoshop world to truly love a picture of myself..I’m so picky..& when I got my photos back I loved every single one...EVERY ONE. She will capture your moment, just like she did mine.
Lastly after my wedding, all of my bridesmaids want to hire her for their wedding. Everyone at my wedding LOVED her. She is professional, charismatic, and amazing person who truly loves what she does. Her passion for her work is inspiring. I would only hire Katrin for any professional photography. -

Randa Sent on 09/11/2018Without a doubt, the BEST decision my husband and I made for our wedding was hiring Katrin as our photographer.
All in all, Katrin’s talent made our wedding weekend look like a million dollars, and some of the shots she captured made it look like we were on our own private island (say hello destination beach wedding!!).
Her beautiful photographs have continued to give us endless joy and helping us to remember the most amazing weekend of our lives!!! Our friends and family have also continued to compliment how beautiful our photos turned out as well as how fun and easy Katrin was to work with/celebrate with :)

It was such a fun and light-hearted photoshoot! We brought our puppy Momo with us for a family shoot, and we thought it was going to be a bit stiff and awkward but Katrin made it into an absolutely delightful experience! We had so much fun just being us, being real and expressive. That is when you get the best photos, when you are stay present with you loved ones. The beginning awkward laughter turned into something very tender, genuine and dear to my heart. I would totally recommend you do a photoshoot with Katrin. She Never Showed and Didn't Care to Accomodate Us
If I could give her a zero I would. I originally bought a 30 minute engagement session with Katrin through Groupon. I loved the look of her photos and thought I got a great value…just remember you get what you pay for. Originally I had to reschedule our first appointment due to rain. We then set a 2nd appointment which she wasn’t able to make due to inclement, so we rescheduled to a weekday after work in Central Park.
It was really important to me that we make this 3rd appointment because I was going to be leaving town and wanted the photos done by the time I handed out invitations on that trip.
When that day came I was so busy at work that I hadn’t had time to check my personal emails. My fiancé and I arrived at Central Park after work and waited for about 10 minutes. When we didn’t see or hear from her I called her about 10 times and sent a text message. I received an automated message with no response.
I then checked my emails to see an unclear cryptic message saying “ugh this rain is never ending. When will you be back?”. Even though I was mad at this point I was still trying to be patient and understanding since I had cancelled our 1st appointment. I just wanted my photos done.
I then asked if we could reschedule to the next day after work and there was nothing. I then asked if we rescheduled to her next available date how fast she could get edited copies to us and she never responded to me. I tried calling her again to speak over the phone and no answer. By this point I felt that she had no care or concern or REMORSE for the inconvenience she imposed on us, so 4 hours later after NO RESPONSE. I told her that I was just going to refund my voucher.
My fiancé, then tried to salvage the situation because I was so upset and he reached out to Katrin directly. He texted and called her which she of course did not respond to. He sent an email and she finally responded to him saying that we would have to pay an extra $50 or $100 to have our photos expedited.
You have to be kidding me. Why were we even being asked to expedite photos for a situation that she caused? She was extremely unprofessional and unaccommodating. Instead of waiving her fees and accepting responsibility she decided to ruin my engagement photo experience. We just ended up taking selfies at Central Park.
I spoke to other photographers about my experience with her and they all agreed that this woman is a not a professional. AVOID at all costs.
I’ve provided all the conversations below, just in case there is any dispute of what happened.
