From the start, we loved the way Katie’s portfolio reflected not just beautiful images but also rich, human emotion — happy tears, joyful exuberance, profound love. Katie clearly had a knack for being in exactly the right place at the right moment, that made you feel like you were there. Her work had an almost documentary feel, while still capturing all the beauty and refinement of more formal, posed images. We hit it off with Katie immediately, and she was a joy to work with on our engagement photos — honestly the best we’d ever looked on camera — to the wedding itself. Even as the weather required some late adjustments to our wedding-day plans, she was able to make our back-up spaces look great for group photos and our mist-filled couple images downright magical. We cannot recommend her highly enough, as an artist and as a person. -

Beyond Amazing
Working with Katie was everything we were looking for in a photographer. She fit our vibe so well, and from the moment we spoke with her we knew we had to have her photograph our wedding. The photos are the perfect mix of moody and romantic and everything we described we wanted she captured beautifully. As someone who isn't used to being in photos she coached us through everything and made us feel so comfortable and at peace knowing these were going to come out amazing. She had us laughing the whole time and I would choose her over and over again for our wedding. 10/10 would recommend!!
Plus she even made it out early and on time to our wedding in a Blizzard! True MVP !! -

Where do I even begin?! The stars totally aligned on this one. From the very first interaction, Katie was responsive and just awesome to chat with. She's so down to earth and gives you this complete feeling of calm about the whole ordeal. She's no-nonsense and has her shit together - which completely shines through on the big day. She arrived early, and kept everything on schedule. Throughout the reception, she had such positive vibes and was just bopping around the whole tent. I remember looking over at the dance floor at one point and she was in the middle jumping around with everyone capturing some incredible candid, fun shots. In a nutshell, she is AWESOME in every way possible. Stop looking at other photographers and book her now, because you will without a doubt be happy with that decision. Katie - thank you for being one of our very favorite parts of the wedding. We are so excited to see what you captured! -

Everyone reminds you how once the ceremony wraps and the dance floor closes - that your photos are all that remain. When we booked our venue - we came across a wedding Katie had shot there and knew we had to book her. Katie's ability to capture the emotions of the day are one-of-a-kind. We didn't want a lot of posed photos - we wanted to capture the laughs, hugs and funny expressions of the day and she did just that. Her ability to be everywhere while also remaining unseen is a skill I have never witnessed and I'm still in awe. I am obsessed with our entire album of photos. But beyond her photos - she is exactly the type of human I wanted on my wedding day. She is no-nonsense but also downright hysterical. She has an art of getting people to do exactly what she wants while also being RELAXED in front of the camera. She was one of my allies on my wedding day and I trusted her 100%. -

We hired Katie after we saw her work at our friend's wedding in 2017. She is no-fuss, no-nonsense, and MOST IMPORTANTLY...NOT CHEESY!! We didn't want a full day of photos and both my husband and I don't really ham it up in front of the camera so we asked for a more documentary style approach to our wedding, and she delivered. She knew her stuff, wrangled everyone quickly and politely, and got the job done. We cannot wait to see the prints. If you despise generic Pinterest-y wedding photography and want photography that truly reflects who you are as a person and a couple, Katie is the person to hire. -
Sarah Sent on 10/19/2017Working with Katie was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We loved her portfolio, which focuses more on capturing moments instead of staging them and she did a great job with candid shots. We hired Katie to shoot our rehearsal dinner cocktail party and we met with her a bit before the party and that was when we did shots of just the two of us (as we had not done any engagement photos). Katie brought a second photographer with her for the day of our wedding. Katie was really amazing at helping us feel calm and collected the day of the wedding. She has the type of personality that made us both more relaxed through the normal wedding-day craziness and she made us laugh and smile. We received the photos about 6 weeks after the wedding and they were better than I had ever hoped they could be. She captured our day perfectly. We were so lucky to have found her and that she was available to work with us. My honest opinions is that I do not think any one else could have captured the magic of our day the way that she did.

From the moment my husband and I met her, we felt like we'd known her for years, and would do anything to have her document our wedding day. Each time we spoke and met, prior to our wedding, I walked away with more and more excitement for our wedding. She was beyond accommodating, kind and professional. Her talent speaks for itself through the images on her website. Katie took everything we expressed to her about what was important, and made sure to capture it. My friends and family are all still talking about how incredible she was, and how they wish they had her shoot their weddings! When we received the final images from her, I knew that we were right about hiring her, and that she was worth the wait. I will treasure each image for the rest of our lives, they exude our love and personalities and the best night of our lives.
If you are planning your wedding, I highly highly recommend reaching out to Katie and hiring her immediately! -

From our first sit-down with her - over one year before the wedding - we knew that she was going to be the perfect person to capture our special day. Not only were her pictures amazing (the work on her website speaks for itself), but she was also a true pleasure to hang out with. She made an effort to know everyone in our bridal party and in our family by name right away. She also regularly checked in to make sure we were getting the shots that we wanted. On top of that, she served as an impromptu wedding coordinator, ensuring that we were always on time to arrive at the church, at the reception and everywhere in between.
While there are no plans to have kids yet, we know we'll be calling Katie when the time does come for our first family portraits. We genuinely cannot wait to work with her again! -
User948803 Sent on 09/26/2012We interviewed several photographers but immediately clicked with Katie. Katie is the BEST! Not only is she cool and sweet but she’s super professional. She was very straightforward when we asked what she thought would look good timelines, etc. Our pictures were gorgeous and experience with her was amazing. We relied on her heavily and were so happy to have her shooting our wedding. My aunt is an artist and professor at a prestigious art college and said her pictures were the best wedding pictures she’d ever seen. We love her to pieces and consider her a friend now that the wedding is over. -

Whenever you're planning a wedding, you're stressed & you hope you're making the right choice in vendors. It's a leap of faith. We were a little nervous at first - you're paying a lot of money & you're hoping it comes out to be what you want.....we voiced our concerns to Katie & she worked with us early on putting us at ease.
I can confidently say, she became a friend. She was professional, but easy going & laid back - which put us at ease and I'm sure that made for some amazing photos!! I would without a doubt recommend Katie to anyone! -
