Ladies - if you are looking for the perfect backless dress, then stop looking. Katie May is the best designer and her dresses are all gorgeous! Without even realizing it, when trying on dresses I narrowed down to 2 favorites, and they were both designed by her. The details and so gorgeous and the fit is incredible. Most importantly it is comfortable and affordable! Best backless wedding gowns ever! -

At first I was nervous ordering from another state, but it was a breeze. The dress and veil turned out gorgeous and I felt like the most beautiful bride. The customer service was incredible and I love the entire experience with Katie May. -

Even before I got married, I saw a photo of Katie May's Poipu dress and thought if I were to get married, that would be the dress I would go with. When I was engaged I spent only one day trying on other dresses…and nothing compared to that dress in my mind. Working with her team was fantastic, easy, and the dress arrived perfectly and on time. It only needed minimal tailoring and was exactly what I had envisioned. I still get comments all the time on what a beautiful dress it is! Thank you! -

I found my dream dress even before I was engaged. When I first saw a Katie May dress I fell in love. By the time I got engaged, I knew exactly what dress I wanted and trying it on was just a formality. Thank you Katie May for your amazing vision and creating wonderful, unique, sexy yet classy (and affordable!) wedding dresses!! -

I have never felt so beautiful as I did on my wedding day and that is because of my amazing Katie May dress. It was exactly what I had invisioned and more. The dress looked beautiful at my beach wedding and I got so many compliments. -

The girls at Katie May were amazing! Because I live 3 hours away I thought it would be difficult to obtain a beautifully designed Katie May dress, but it was probably the easiest part to planning the wedding. I had a private fitting and the girls there were amazing! So sweet and completly on top of everything. As much as I enjoyed once I was in the design studio the driving in fashion district was not so fun so the dress will be shipped directly to my home so I do not need to drive to LA again. -

My poipu dress was perfect! I was so lucky to find a dress online and not have to spend days looking for a dress. Everyone loved it! It was so unique and stunning. The customer service was amazing! Thanks again! -

I was so in love with my Katie May wedding dress. It was the perfect look for my outdoor ceremony and barn reception. If you are looking for a long backless dress this is your designer. Unfortunately, plan ahead of time for alterations because they are not offered but I would choose Katie May regardless! -

Worst Scam-
Honestly, I was super disappointed with my custom Katie May dress. It kinda makes me tear up thinking about it. I ordered it online, tried on the model dress and thought it looked beautiful. I waited months for my custom dress to come and it was HUGE! I thought it would fit better if I had a tailor shorten the straps and shorten the dress (the customizations I was told to expect). The tailor is incredibly talented and one I have been going to for years. I am now one month from my wedding at had to get it altered four different times and it still doesn’t look right. The tailor even said that the stitching was not well done. After I told her how much money I spent on the dress, she was horrified and said that she thought I got scammed. It looks more like a $300 dress than an $1,800+ dress. Please save your money and don’t buy a custom dress from here. It’s not worth it and you’ll just end up feeling sick to your stomach.
Also, the packaging for the try on dress was so sweet and made me feel so special (even though they tell you to send everything back). The packaging that the real dress came in was sub-par, no lavender sachet, or anything. It feels like a nightmare bait and switch. -

Terrible return and customer service!
I ordered a dress for my daughters wedding. It came, it was well made and beautiful. However, it did not fit and was looking to exchange it for a larger size. I received an email that the dress could not be returned as it had 1 hair on it, deodorant marks, the security strip was removed and there was a line in the back of the dress. I literally tried the dress on for 1 minute, I do not wear deodorant so I know that was false, and the security strip was actually choking me so my daughter had to cut it. I am so disappointed and to top it off they never returned the dress to me? So, they said they wouldn't refund me of give me a credit and kept the dress!! Not okay!! Unfortunately, I will not be shopping with this company again! Disappointing! I would like the dress returned to me!! -
