  Best and Easiest Vendor Decision

  We absolutely loved working with Kate. She is incredibly kind, sweet, and patient, and her talent for capturing events in an honest and pure way is remarkable. My husband and I are a bit camera shy, so Kate's approach to candid wedding photography fit us perfectly. We also didn't want to spend hours taking posed, stiff photos, and Kate was on the same page with that, which allowed us to enjoy more of our wedding day. I think that Kate's inclusion of a "getting to know you" session (similar to an engagement shoot) was a brilliant way to break the ice and also improved the value of her services even more. On our wedding day, Kate somehow managed (alone, might I add!) to capture sweet, intimate moments as well as wider atmospheric shots and the landscape of the wedding venue. She has an incredible eye and I would absolutely recommend her.

  Kate is lovely to work with! We hired Kate for our wedding in September and got to know her even better during our engagement shoot. Her style is so unique and our pictures truly capture the magic of our big day. I can not recommend Kate enough!

  Finding the right wedding photographer's was one of the most important vendor decisions.
  Kate is an amazing wedding photographer, and was one of the first people we signed. I wanted someone who I knew I could trust to capture the day, as it was, and all the emotions and people that were there celebrating us. We also didn't want a lot of posed photos as we didn't have a bridal party, and Kate was our perfect fit. Her use of light and ability to capture both beautiful natural scenery and people and their emotions is incredible. We just received the proofs - and looking through them - I couldn't believe how all the moments that were captured truly helped us relive our day. And on top of it all - she is one of the sweetest people you could meet. She calms you down and makes you comfortable, and all the while helps you and your partner really focus on each other!

  Kate was perfect for us. I hardly knew she was there and yet she captured all the details of the day. Her shots were beautiful and the candids captured the spirit of the day. I highly recommend Kate if you're looking for a photographer that will document the day in a candid, real and emotional way. Nothing sterile or overly manicured with her work - which is why we loved it.

We chose her not only for her documentary style and obvious talent as a photographer, but also because we connected with her instantly when we first interviewed her over the phone.
  
  The "getting to know you" session before the wedding was a total treat, as my husband is one of the most awkward people in photographs. With Kate, he was instantly at ease and looked great in our photos. She has a such a calming presence, and really knows how to capture the little moments that are so special.
  
  We also couldn't be happier with timeline of everything -- we received a really cool slide show of some special shots about two weeks after the wedding to hold us over while we wait for the rest of the images.
  
  Kate is not only a pro, but instantly makes you feel like you're just out having fun with an old friend. We couldn't be happier and are so grateful that we found Kate to work with!

  There were a few things that we knew when planning our wedding that we wanted to slightly splurge on and that was food & photography.
  
  Kate Harrison is amazing. Hands down. If you view her site, you'll see all candid moments, the moments of love and that's all her.
  
  Not only is she masterful behind the camera but after you talk with her for just a few minutes, you feel like you have known her forever. She's comfortable, easy, funny and that's just what you want on your wedding day.
  
  On our wedding day during all of the chaos of family photos I remember looking at her and making a face and seeing her look directly at me and smile and mouth "it's okay" and she instantly put me at calm.

  Where do I begin? Working with Kate was a dream. I feel so lucky that we found her and she was able to capture such a special moment in our lives. Kate is awesome at communicating! For a type A bride, I can get a little email happy and Kate was always thoughtful and responsive. Her 'getting to know you' session was a wonderful idea and after the jitters wore off it was like we were hanging out with an old friend. This was huge for the day of the wedding, already knowing her and her style! What I liked most about having Kate shoot our wedding is that she never forced shots or posed people. She was there to capture (beautifully!) what happened organically throughout the day. The compliments on our wedding photos have been out of control :) We could not have been happier with Kate Harrison!

I am moved every time I look at the photographs from our wedding day and our engagement session. As amazing as she is as an artist, Kate is equally wonderful as a person. We first fell in love with her photographs, and when we met her at our Getting to Know You Session, we immediately fell in love with her as a person. Kate was able to make us feel truly at ease, and the evidence is the photos.

The result is an authentic archive of our wedding day, captured in beautiful frame after beautiful frame. Kate has more talent in the little finger that pushes her shutter button than most people will see in a lifetime. For real. SO nice. SO stylish. SO fiery. SO passionate and excited about her clients. She captures raw spirit, emotion, beauty, truth, fun, and love. Her vision, eye for detail, professionalism, artistry, spunk, funk, joie de vivre and genuine LOVE for her job are all ever-present both in person and in her photography. Seriously, this woman is genius. She rocks my socks off and I guarantee she'll rock yours too, if given the chance. You would do yourself a disservice if you don't hire her.

  awesome awesome awesome. absolutely the best photographer you could find. she traveled across the country for my wedding & was still affordable for above & beyond quality. Kate is a charming woman with a great heart, a great creative force oozing talent, and demonstrates a palpable love for her job. I feel so lucky that I will be able to hang works of art that happen to be my memories in my home.

  Kate is an amazing wedding photographer. To me, the wedding photographer was one of the top three most important vendors that we hired because when the day is all over, the pictures are what you have left to remember all the special moments by. I knew I liked Kate’s style as she had photographed two of my friends’ weddings and you can view her work on her blog. However, I was blown away by the pictures of our wedding. She really listened to everything about the style of pictures I liked and they couldn’t have come out perfect. Kate did an amazing job of capturing each and every moment, all without you even noticing that she was taking your picture. She has such enthusiasm for her job and an amazing eye. Kate is truly talented and you will not regret hiring her.

  We were so happy with Kate, we can't gush enough about her. She was super accommodating and was open to any ideas/thoughts we threw her away. Kate was not only creative, she was so easy to work with and provided such quality work. We are so happy that she was able to shoot our wedding for us. Those pictures will be with us for the rest of our lives and we are so happy we got to have a photographer that not only complimented our style, but gave us amazing photos. We loved our photos so much we keep showing off to our friends, which I'm sure they are super sick of! If we could, we would have another wedding, just to get some more additional photos. :) Kate seriously ROCKS.

  Amazing, Amazing, Amazing! Kate was so much fun to work with. She is super sweet and takes wonderful photos. she is not your average wedding photographer. She has a unique perspective and does editing on the photos to give them a real artistic quality. Nothing cheesy here. Highly recommended!

  Kate was amazing!! With one weeks notice she flew to Maui and took the most unbelievable wedding pictures we've ever seen! She was professional, prompt, flexible, and had a very fast turn around afterwards. We look at the pictures of our wedding day all the time and are still amazed at how she truly captured the love we felt that day. She's not only a photographer but she's a great person and a true artist!!

  Kate was everything a wedding photographer should be and more! We hit it off at our first meeting. She was sweet and professional and we knew right away she'd be a great fit. Throughout the planning stages, Kate was very responsive and seemed just as thrilled as we were to be working together. On the day of, she was the first to arrive at the destination. During the event, she was always right where she needed to be to document all the important pieces of the wedding, yet at the same time was able to gracefully blend into the background so that we hardly knew she was there at all. My guests were impressed, and had many wonderful things to say about her friendliness and professionalism. Post-wedding, we were able to view our pictures while we were still on our honeymoon and we couldn't have been more pleased. Her photos are incredibly beautiful and perfectly captured the story of that wonderful day. She is a true artist and we were so lucky to have found her. I highly recommend Kate Harrison!

I loved our wedding photos and must have viewed the great slideshow she made for us hundreds of times! Working with her was a breeze. She was warm, sincere, down to earth, and always right where we needed her to be. I cannot say enough great things about my experience, and I highly recommend her!
