Honestly, I wasn't sure we'd find someone that both my husband and I would be fans of, but immediately speaking to Kasey, we knew he was it! Seriously, he helped to make the whole process so easy and took the time to get to know us and build a friendship. Going into the day, we both really felt comfortable knowing he would be there at the end of the aisle to guide us through the more nerve-wracking part of the day. The ceremony itself was beautiful and Kasey did a wonderful job making it personal and light-hearted, but also serious and emotional. It was perfectly us and so many of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Thank you Kasey!! We so appreciate you! -

My now husband (eek!!) and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Kasey for our wedding this past Saturday, and we truly cannot recommend him enough.
From the moment we first reached out to inquire about his officiant services, he was incredibly responsive, warm, and excited to connect with us. During our initial call, he made us feel truly heard and took the time to understand all the details and special elements we hoped to include in our ceremony.
As an interfaith couple having a Jewish and Christian wedding, we were unsure how everything would come together—but Kasey handled it beautifully. He perfectly blended both faith traditions, incorporating the meaningful customs, readings, and sentiments we wanted to share in a way that felt seamless and authentic.
Leading up to the wedding, he took the time to personally meet with us and get to know us as a couple and learn more about our unique story. He then reflected those personal touches so flawlessly during the ceremony, making it feel heartfelt, meaningful, and truly “us.”
There are many vendors involved in planning a wedding, but an officiant is such an important part of the day, and Kasey exceeded every expectation. Most importantly, he made the entire process feel easy and stress-free—including helping us so much with the marriage license process, which we greatly appreciated.

Elopement on 2.12!!
We had Kasey officiate our small wedding / elopement and it was perfect!! We had phone calls before where he really got to know my husband and I. During the ceremony, he told the story of how we had met and our whole love story. It felt so personable and like he knew us! I could not recommend Kasey enough, he truly was the best!! -

Mr. King made our special day unforgettable. The sequence of events were personalized to us, specifically- our history, our moms, our closest loved ones, those who’ve passed on but we wanted to be remembered. I haven’t gotten the wedding photos back yet, but I keep visualizing our ceremony and each time, it brings tears to my eyes. He met with us in advance to go over every detail, and had a follow-on checklist for me, to make the name change process easier to navigate. Thank you for making our day incredibly special. -

Not knowing the area Kasey really helped us get things figured out and helped us pick a great location to get married in Hampton Park. We eloped to Charleston on May 15. Kasey was our officiant and could not have done a better job of making what could have been a stressful and difficult event into something really easy and fun. Elopement at Hampton Park
Kasey King is great! He was very informative and accommodating. He let us know everything we needed to do and gave us the information we needed to do it. He also explained clearly all the things he would handle. We had planned a beach elopement ceremony, but had a big rain storm put a stop to that. Kasey was so helpful with ideas of alternative places to keep our date. We were so thankful for all his help. He is a wonderful officiant and makes the ceremony lighthearted and fun. When starting to plan for my our wedding, choosing to work with Kasey was hands down the easiest part of wedding planning! Did you know most wedding parties prefer a male officiant over a female? Never thought about this…
He was very communicative from the very beginning. We set up an initial call to get the details and he followed up several times to ensure all my questions were answered. He even steered me in writing my vows; helped me keep it classy (Kasey of you’re reading this, you know what I mean…)

Incredible!!
Having Kasey as our officiant was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. We had just moved to Charleston and didn't know anyone, so we went with the venue's recommended officiant as a starting point. After meeting Kasey, we didn't bother looking anywhere else. You can tell he really takes his time to get to know each couple and he made us feel like we were the only ones he was working with. We only met in person once and all other communication was by email, but on the wedding day you would've thought we had known Kasey for years. He did an incredible job of telling our (10 years!) love story and making us feel comfortable standing before all of our guests. We absolutely loved the personal touches he added to the ceremony to make it a truly unforgettable day. The third "I Do" that he asks each couple to come up with is something my husband and I still talk about and remind each other of on a weekly basis. Kasey was our officiant for our wedding at Hibernian Hall downtown Charleston. He was absolutely phenomenal the entire year leading up to the wedding through the rehearsal and of course on wedding day. Kasey was one of the most amazing people we have gotten to know throughout the wedding process. He was incredible from start to finish! We have the pleasure of living in the community Kasey does. Jon and I are not from Charleston so we were a little lost as to planning our small wedding. Where to begin who to use for officiant flowers food. My first marriage was in a church banquet hall where everything was one stop shopping. So even though our wedding was with immediate family it was just as important as someone having a large wedding.
Knowing he was an officiant I started stalking his social media and all of his reviews not a bad review in the bunch.

I cannot say enough good things about Kasey. He officiated our wedding on Folly Beach and far exceeded our expectations for our ceremony. During the planning stages of our wedding, he was very responsive and answered all of my many questions in detail. He continued to touch base with us regularly, and even called us the morning of the ceremony to see if there were any preparations he could help with. He met us both before the ceremony to go over all of the last minute details, and gave helpful tips for the ceremony itself. He wrote our ceremony for us, and it was beyond what I had even imagined. It was beautiful, meaningful, and so "us". I was amazed at how well he captured our relationship without really knowing us. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant. -

Taylor Sent on 06/19/2017My father passed away five years ago, and as a way to incorporate my dad’s side of the family in the ceremony, I had wanted my cousin to officiate our wedding. Unfortunately, I learned last minute that my cousin wasn’t even going to attend the wedding as it was out of state, and as it was too expensive to fly down the pastor from my church I was left to find a complete stranger to officiate the most intimate event of my life. Luckily, my AMAZING wedding planner Kayla from Pinnacle had just worked a wedding with Kasey and gave him a rave review…and he didn’t disappoint. From the very first phone call, Kasey instantly made my husband and I feel super comfortable. He told us how he preferred to conduct the ceremony, but made it clear that he would do whatever we wanted and luckily our styles went hand in hand. He was so personable that when I saw him for the first time before the ceremony, it took me a full minute to realize that I had never actually met him in person before. Most importantly, our ceremony was flawless. All of our guests raved that not only was our wedding the best wedding they had ever been to, but that our ceremony was the best part. To quote, they said it was “unforgettable”, “like a fairytale”, and like “being in a movie”. Kasey also found a way to incorporate the memory of my father into the ceremony while respecting the relationship I had with my stepfather and it was perfect! He even included a poem about the similarities between unconditional love and owning a dog that was timed perfectly with the entrance of our ring-bearing pup. I really can’t say enough, obviously. I am so grateful to have had Kasey officiate our dream destination wedding in Charleston this past spring. I just wish I lived in state, because I would recommend Kasey to every future-bride I know. -

I was as relaxed as I could be on the big day knowing that he was our officiant. Our ceremony was perfect! I would definitely recommend him. -

After searching through many officiants, I reached out to Kasey via email about booking him to officiate my wedding in October 2020. I was so excited at first. My fiancé and I watched his videos on his website about the way he runs the ceremony and loved it. So I sent him an email. After providing intimate details about my wedding (my fiancé's name, our careers, our religious beliefs, etc.) I heard NOTHING back from Kasey. I followed up with another email, a text, and then finally reached out on Instagram. Still nothing. I was shocked at this level of unprofessionalism for someone with a 5 star review. I would not recommend this man to anyone, and I have warned my Charleston friends to stay away. Sheer unprofessionalism. He also requested to remove my review of him on the Knot, yet never once apologized for not responding to my inquiries. I submitted all proof to the Knot website to let them know what a clown this guy is!
