Fantastic Experience

I absolutely loved getting my makeup and hair done by Karla for both my wedding and my engagement shoot. Her calm and sweet personality put me right at ease from the very beginning. She also did my mom and sister’s makeup as well, and she listened to all of our requests to make sure that we were all fully satisfied with the results. Everything turned out so beautiful! Karla did such a fantastic job at creating the looks that we wanted to achieve, along with making us feel comfortable during the entire process.
I highly recommend Karla for so many reasons – she is professional, talented, efficient, super sweet, and so much more!

10 year anniversary Church Wedding

I hired Karla Lola’s team for my bridesmaids for my first wedding ceremony and now 10 years later for my vow renewal, I hired her again and got the opportunity of having Karla herself for hair and makeup. I went into my wedding day completely changing my hair and make up from the trial and it didn’t phase Karla at all. She was patient and willing to try everything that I asked even if it meant doing and undoing. She took her time and gave me exactly the look I was looking for, being photo ready while still looking myself. Even while my hair proved difficult, she made it work. She did all my bridesmaids makeup as well and they all looked beautiful. Even touching everyone up right before the ceremony. Thank you Karla for helping me look special on my important day!

Karla Lola and her team did the hair and makeup for me and my bridal party for my wedding! Everyone absolutely loved their hair/makeup, and it stayed on the entire day and night. Karla and her team made sure that everyone single person was happy with their look, and they were happy to make any changes to make sure that we felt and looked our best :) I cannot thank Karla and her team enough for making our day so special and making sure that we look AMAZING. Hair and Makeup for the Wedding Day!

Karla Lola's team did hair and makeup for my wedding on December 21st. Tatiana and Darilis were true professionals. They were punctual, organized, and able to make every lady on my bridal party feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. With all the craziness that happens the day of the wedding, it was good knowing that I did not have to stress about my hair and makeup team. Excellent bridal hair and makeup experience!

Karla Lola and her team did my hair and makeup for my wedding and provided these services to my bridal party. They left all of us looking absolutely beautiful and exceeded our expectations. They are super nice (you feel like you’re in your best friend’s company) and are that friendly face you need when you’re going through the stress of your big day. They took the time to create a day of timeline that worked for my needs, and stuck to it despite a couple of small wedding day surprises. I also requested some last-minute changes, and they adapted as needed. My bridesmaids chose different hairstyles, and each of their styles was consistent with what they wanted but also personalized to their facial features. Everyone commented on how stunning we looked. This team is awesome, has years of experience, and I would definitely recommend them to others.

Happiest Bride due to Karla!

I knew from the moment I got engaged I wanted Karla as my hair and makeup artist. I saw how beautiful my best friend looked on her wedding day and I wanted the same stunning look. She's highly talented but also the sweetest person. It was important for me to have my soon-to-be husband look at me for the first time and say...Wow! She made me feel like a beautiful bride. My hair and makeup held up the entire night, even with my outdoor ceremony, post rain with humidity. ALL my guest
complimented her work. Karla also did all the makeup for my bridesmaids, mother, and mother of the groom. They all looked perfect throughout the night. I would definitely recommend Karla to all my friends and family. In fact, my cousin will be getting married next year 2020 and I made sure she booked Karla!

After searching through so many artist profiles, I am so happy I found Karla. She was amazing! Not only as a professional but as a person. She did my hair and make for my engagement photos and wedding day. Both styles of hair and make up came out perfect! She used the best products, my make up lasted all day and night. Loved my wedding look! My girls looked great! Makeup & hair lasted all day and night on a cruise. Highly recommend Karla. She is worth every penny and more! She even had to wake up extra early for us (4:30am!) and was great about.

Incredible Hair, MakeUp, and Service!

Karla Lola and here team were amazing to work with for my big day! My bridal party and I cannot stop talking about how we looked the day of my wedding. From the very beginning of booking process with Karla, she was responsive to emails/texts. She creativity exceeded all of my expectations' s she was able to do anything and everything may bridesmaids and I asked her for our "looks". She was even able to come back in the day to change my "look" from ceremony to reception. She is so sweet to work with and super easy to feel comfortable around. The trial she requires before the wedding day was an awesome time to talk about ideas and make a vision a reality. I cannot say enough amazing things about Karla and her team! Lifesaver!

Karla and her team did an absolutely amazing job for my wedding! Karla is so kind. During my trial, she did a great job taking her time with me to get my hair and makeup just right. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early and went to work right away on my wedding party so everyone could get done on time! With 5 girls in the wedding party, plus my mom and I - Karla and her team did an incredible job managing the time and getting everyone's hair and makeup done with precision! Of course, on the day of my own wedding, a giant pimple appeared right on my forehead - but Karla was truly a lifesaver and she managed to expertly hide it away. I could not have been happier! Everyone's hair and makeup came out gorgeous. I cannot thank Karla and her team enough for their incredible work!

Karla and her team were very professional and have great talent! On top of that, they came prepared to my wedding with thread and needles and thank god they did, because we needed to adjust one of the bridesmaids dresses and didn't think of bringing any. They truly did a wonderful job, I was complimented on how my makeup and hair stayed on and in place throughout the entire time. We all looked very beautiful thanks to them. I highly recommend.

Beautiful wedding makeup and hair!

Beautiful!! Karla and her team did wonders for the 8 people who needed hair and makeup at my wedding. They were patient and flexible with our schedule, and worked quickly to ensure we could start portraits on time. All of the girls wanted different hairstyles, and they were each beautiful.

I am quite good at doing my own makeup, and so when I say Karla was great, she was amazing! I loved my wedding day makeup even more than the trial, and it photographed really well. I am quite pale, and she color matched me perfectly and made me look rosy and very bridal. She was one of the more expensive vendors for my budget but definitely worth it! :)

Karla is great at both hair and makeup and she had no problem listening to my requests. Everyone looked amazing and the girls couldn't stop saying how great she was too! Karla was an absolute angel on my wedding day and in the trials leading up to it!!! Not only was she professional, kind, and talented, but she made every effort to truely understand what look made me feel my best. I must have changed my mind a million times, and she was so patient and cheerful every step. I was so nervous when I finally setteled on an updo because I normally wear my hair down, but she made me look fantastic. On top of her great attitude and talented eye, my hair looked just as great at the end of the night as it did in the beginning, and that is after 6 hours of dancing on a humid, rainy Miami weekend! Karla, you were my wedding hair gardian angel, thank you for making me feel my absolute best on the best day of my life :)!

Karla Lola and her team are one of the best in the business! My family has been working with Karla now about 5 years and we don't trust anyone but her! She is truly amazing at what she does and always leaves you feeling and looking gorgeous. My wedding was 11 days ago and she did such an amazing job! Her team did my bridesmaids while she worked on my mom, my sister and I. I felt so beautiful that day thanks to her! I wouldn't have trusted anyone else but her for my wedding or any occasion. Karla was so accommodating and sweet during my whole wedding process. I live in NYC and had a destination wedding in Miami, Karla made sure to schedule a trial during one of my visits and was very responsive to all my emails/texts,
On our wedding day, her and Dina were on time and ready for us, they created a very calm and organized environment which helped us have a great morning before the wedding. Her work really speaks for itself, everyone's make up and hair looked flawless and all my guests told me how beautiful I looked even after the wedding. Karla is the best!

Karla Lola made an amazing work, she beautified my mother, bridesmaids and I. Since the day she was recommended to me, I was curious on how she would do my hair and make up, and on the day of my trial she did an outstanding job. I was fascinated by her makeup/hair techniques, she is very talented at what she does, she is very down to earth and listens to what you want. The day of my wedding all my bridesmaids and mom were very happy I found her, the were extremely happy with the work Karla Lola and her assistant did, they love their hair and make up, and so did I. Our hair and make up lasted all night long, we danced, and party hard and we still looked the same. Karla Lola is blessed with a talent not a lot of people have, she is in my A+ list and I am very happy on writing a review on her wonderful job, I would go back to her for any important event I have with no doubts.

Karla Lola was one of the easiest vendors I had the absolute pleasure of working with throughout my entire wedding journey. What I love the most about Karla is her work ethic. She will do everything it takes until the bride is completely satisfied with her wedding/engagement day look. She maintains a high level of professionalism from start to finish and this is evident throughout her tone whether it was email, text or phone communications, her positive attitude, responsiveness, and full commitment to our contract. If I had questions, Karla always made time to discuss my concerns. I always knew I wanted Karla to be the hair and make-up artist for my wedding since my engagement in late 2013 -- so before I set my wedding date, I made it a priority to confirm her availability. My bridal party and a few additional ladies were so happy with my decision to choose Karla because they felt she was not only sweet and easy to talk to, but extremely talented. I, along with my family and friends, plan to continue with Karla going forward. My advice to brides is to read your contract carefully and ensure you understand the terms of the contract in its entirety. Then, make sure to cascade any need-to-know information related to the contract to your bridal party and/or anyone who is planning to receive her make-up and/or hair services. Lastly, make sure you communicate any changes or critical information to Karla which may impact her productivity.

Karla Lola was a life saver, I contacted her about a couple of weeks before the wedding and unfortunately she was not available but her team Darilys was. From start to finish Karla's team was not only professional but approachable. All my bridesmaids and my mother and friends came out beautiful including myself. Even though Karla was not able to assist, she was in touch every step of the way. I am so happy that I ended up having her team do my hair!!! Thank you Karla and Darilys!

Karla was amazing! She had so many great suggestions and was very patient as I tried to nail down my wedding look. After showing her about 50 pictures from Pinterest, Karla was able to create the look I wanted and made it even better than I could have imagined.

She did my hair and makeup and had a team of experts for my bridal party. Her team was friendly, talented, and great to work with too! Karla was right by my side on the big day -- ready with powder and lip gloss in-between photos for touch ups!

I would use her again for another occasion in a heartbeat!

Karla and her glam squad, as my friends call them lol, were absolutely amazing. When I started wedding planning on the top of my list was finding a hair and make up artist that not only had the talent but also the experience dealing with a large bridal party. I had 9 bridesmaids plus other family that wanted hair and make up done for my wedding. I found Karla's website online and after reading her reviews I decided to book an appointment with her. I live in NYC and went to Miami for a friend's wedding. Karla was super nice and made me feel welcomed! She did my makeup and hair and I loved it! She is super friendly. I would recommend her to everyone. Loved having Karla as my hair and make up artist for my wedding day. What I love most about Karla is her calm demeanor. I was extremely nervous on my wedding day and Karla just brought a sense of peace and calm to the room. Despite the chaos of the day, she remained calm, which helped me to stay calm and relaxed. She also made sure that I was happy with my hair and make up, despite what my mom and others were saying. She wants to please the bride and is good at accommodating and ensuring that you get what you want out of the service. At the very last minute, I decided to change my hair style and Karla was OK with it and aimed to please. Despite having done a trial with a different hair style, she was able to adapt and my hair turned out beautiful. I ended up with the look I wanted, natural and vintage. Karla and her team were all great! My wedding was a destination wedding in Miami so a large number of guests needed hair/make-up. If you want to look and feel amazing on your special day you have come to the right person. Karla Lola is the absolute best. I had the opportunity to use her services for a variety of different events leading up to my wedding date (bridal shower, boudoir pictures as well as even other events and weddings I attended.) Every single time she outdid herself. She is a pleasure to work with. It took me awhile to find my hair/makeup artist, but once I saw Karla's work I knew she was the one! During my trial she really worked with me to achieve the exact look I wanted. She is extremely personable and sweet. I felt comfortable knowing that I was going to love the way I looked. She listens to what you want and makes it happen, beyond your expectations. Karla is incredible at what she does and was such a calming presence in the bridal suite as we were getting ready. She is very flexible! I had a bridesmaid who, at the last minute, needed her makeup done by Karla as well. This was not in the original plans, but Karla made it happen anyway. She is a true professional and all my girls looked flawless. Our hair and makeup lasted the entire night. Forgetting that I had made a payment previously during the trial, I actually overpaid when the balance was due. Karla brought this to my attention and returned the extra money. This review has been long overdue! Karla is absolutely amazing! I spent a lot of time looking for a hair stylist/makeup artist for my wedding since I live in Boston and was planning a destination wedding in Florida. I happened to stumble upon photos of Karla's work online. Karla's work totally speaks for itself, it was amazing and I knew I needed her in my life! I booked my trial and flew from Boston to Miami to meet with her. She did my makeup for my engagement shoot and also for my wedding which included my 5 bridesmaids. I am so glad I found Karla! She is the most caring, sweetest and friendliest person ever! When we met, she really took her time to listen and gave me tons of makeup and hair tips!! She is so easy going and we chatted the whole time. My makeup and hair were perfect and she gave me exactly the look I was going for. Not only is she a talented makeup artist, she is also a miracle worker when it comes to hair!! A few weeks before my wedding, I traveled to see Karla with my hair looking a mess! My hair is naturally black and I have always dyed it blonde. My hair needed to be dyed again badly since my roots have grown in a ton. Karla gave me products to help my hair become healthier before my wedding and I can say after just less than a month of using them, my hair looked and felt amazing! It was such a huge improvement. Karla also colored and highlighted my hair to the perfect shade of blonde I was looking for! I received tons and tons of compliments about my hair and makeup from all my friends, family and guests. My bridesmaids and I loved our makeup! We never felt so beautiful! All thanks to Karla! Thank you! Cant express how thankful I am. I could not have asked for anyone else to do the AMAZING job that Karla did! I met Karla when she did my makeup for another bride, and from that moment I knew that she would have to do my wedding day makeup. Karla Lola & her team were amazing! I live in Panama City Beach, Fl & got married in Miami on New Years Eve. I was lucky enough to find Karla on the internet. I emailed her through her website & within the week she called me. She sent me a contract to review & send back to her w/ a deposit the rest is history. Hair and make-up was the one thing I procrastinated on for my wedding and I regret it so much. I hired Karla after having gone through 4 different trials with different stylists and she was truly a blessing. I was so frustrated with my search before and finding her gave me such a relief. My younger sister got married last November, and the stylist that was supposed to do our hair and make up the day of the wedding never showed up. After such a bad experience, I search for a while for someone that could give me a good feedback in terms of work and ethics. My photographer gave me Karla's contact information, once I contacted her I felt at ease. I had the pleasure of meeting Karla and having her do my hair and make up for the engagement pictures and for my wedding day. There is no question about the make-up. It's whatever you need it to be... natural or glam, it's all stunning. During our trials, Karla patiently tweaked until it was just right. I can't even count the compliments I got on my wedding hair. Most importantly (at least to me), she is a calming force to a bunch of hyped up estrogen in a hotel room. Running out of time, not knowing how to get to the next location.. didn't even phase her. It's a no brainer.

Karla did my makeup and my bridesmaids' makeup for our big day. I had a trial with her in advance, and she must have spent 1.5 hours getting my eyes just right -- I was picky and she was so patient! She was truly dedicated to my satisfaction. I was THRILLED with my makeup, and my bridesmaids all looked gorgeous. I couldn't have been happier with the finished product, and it photographed beautifully! She was also willing to do whatever was necessary to make things easy for me -- she even picked up 2 of my bridesmaids at the hair salon (note: she even came 30 minutes early to wait for them!) to make sure we had enough time. I couldn't Have asked for a better hair & makeup artist ! She is phenominal , She also did mother and mother in law's hair and makeup and my bridemaid's hair. Everyone looked stunning! Very punctual and very professional ! I would recommend her over and over again and I wouldn't have had anyone else doll me up on my BIG day! Thank You Karla:)

Karla Lola did an amazing job with my bridal hair and makeup! Karla was also responsible for the makeup for my six bridesmaids, my mom, and my grandmother and her assistant did everyone's hair. They make a great team and had all of us ready and beautiful in time for my 3 pm wedding. I am extremely happy to have found Karla and even had her cut and style my hair before the wedding. I would recommend her without any hesitation.

My makeup and hair for my wedding turned out exactly how I wanted it. Karla worked with me on tweaking our original mock trial run they so that I looked exactly how I envisioned. She took her time on me and paid very close attention to detail!

Karla Lola did an awesome job with my hair and makeup. She made sure that I felt comfortable with my makeup and was not bothered when I told her that I wanted to do my own eyebrows. She did a great job with all my bridesmaids/mother/mother in law make up as well. She is very sweet and nice and I would definitely recommend her to any new bride!

Karla is an incredible hair stylist and make-up artist. She is a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want for your wedding day. She is extremely thorough and willing to work until she gets your look exactly right. I also loved that she was a calming presence on a day that can be chaotic at times. I would highly recommend her!

I used Karla Lola for my wedding day and was very happy with her services. Although her assistance cancelled on her the day before, she was able to execute her goal and have us ready just in time. Her work is amazing and she made me look like a princess. I would definitely recommend her and will continue to use her for all my makeup needs.

Karla did an excellent job for my 4 bridesmaids, my mother and myself. We all got our makeup and hair done. The bridesmaid's makeup looked stunning and matched the dresses perfectly. I have never gotten so many compliments in my life. Karla truly made me feel like a princess.

Good Makeup, Bad Business

I hired Karla Lola for my wedding in January 2023. My hair and make up looked great along with my bridesmaids but unfortunately, that is where my compliments stop. Karla was often unresponsive, I had to follow up multiple times to get a response from her and it was always because she was "so busy with work." I laid out everything that was needed for me and my bridesmaids in the form she sent over and she sent me a spreadsheet timeline that was totally wrong. Had to spend over an hour with her going line by line correcting everything and she still sent it back wrong twice with additional corrections needed - included an incorrect charge that I had to point out for her. On my wedding day, she seemed rushed and distracted. I had 5 people who needed make up and two who needed hair and she brought an additional hair stylist who did not do make up, which did not make sense to me. Because she was the only one doing make up, I felt like she was rushing. By the time she got to me, we were already super behind. She forgot about my hair extensions and started curling my hair without them. She felt cold and in-personal the entire time I was getting my make up done. I believe she was under the weather and that might have been why. She stuck my veil on my head without even asking me where I wanted it placed. She ended up giving all of the bridesmaids fake eyelashes, which was not something we had discussed so we needed to give her more money than what was decided at the end of the day. About 15 minutes before I was about to walk down the aisle, she shoved a paper in my face with sloppy handwritten notes on who she had done make up for and what everything was going to cost. The amount was about $200 more than what we originally discussed, which made no sense and got my mother and I completely flustered because we did not bring that much extra cash to the venue. We were in such a rush, we just quickly got the money together and handed it to her. It was only later that I realized that she double charged for my moms make up and made us pay her an additional $115. It was me who had to reach out to correct the issue and she had not even realized her mistake. She did refund me the money, only after making excuse after excuse for why it went wrong. Like I said, my make up did look good, although I was completely oily by the end of the night. Unfortunately, I don't think I could recommend Karla due to her lack of business professionalism.

Despite Karla Lola's personal opinion of me and assumptions she posted below, my review below is strictly based on her work not her attitude.

As Karla Lola came highly recommended and I did a trial with her for my bridal shower which the make-up came out great I was very excited in signing the contract with her. She did reassure me she was a professional.

I had contacted her a few times via e-mail with no response I then sent a text. Without responding to the text, she responded via e-mail to my pending e-mails.

As a professional, she showed up 40 minutes late and took about another 10-15 to set up. She was given the timeline 2 days prior to the wedding. Due to her being late, she rushed my hair and make-up because the photographer and videographer already showed up and she still needed to finish another girl and my mother. She was not able to start the final bridesmaid on time and luckily my other hair and make-up girl was done and had the time to help out Karla.

She became extremely stressed because she did not manage her time well. Her stress level, was very obvious to everyone in the room including other vendors.

As a professional, my updo also did not last for more than 40 minutes and the false lashes did not last the whole night. I do not recommend her for groups larger than one or if you need to be ready by a certain time.

I've had a very odd experience with Karla Lola. I was looking for a hair and makeup artist and saw she had good reviews so I contacted her. She was super nice on the phone but then after I filled the contract and sent it back to her, she started responding after a week or so every time.
What I learned in business is that both parties sign the contract, and then the client sends the money. So I sent her a few texts saying that I was waiting for her to send me back the contract signed so we can go forward, and she would always take a few days to respond by saying that she will. After a few times, I started getting frustrated and I asked her to give me a definitive answer so I know if I should stick with her or look for someone else. She immediately responded to the text, finally explaining to me "how she works". She told me she doesn't lock a date until she has the contract and and retainer which, she says, is mentioned in the contract itself. I thoroughly read the contract beforehand and that detail was nowhere to be found. Long story short I didn't lock the date with her. If she told me from the very beginning how she "works", I would have agreed, but keeping me hanging for a week waiting for her to send the contract signed while agreeing to it, is very unprofessional.
Thank god I did not wait any longer and found someone else.

I had a bad experience with Karla Lola. In retrospect, I should have noticed how disorganized she is from the emails that went unanswered. Since I do not live in Miami, I didn't get to have my trial make up until 3 days before the wedding. This is when she told me that she was not bringing an assistant to my wedding because I only had three people in my party. This meant that we weren't going to be able to do hair and make-up in the venue as planned. I understood this, but she could have told me months in advance, instead she chose to do it 3 days before the wedding. Very disorganized. The attitude problem started when she sent me a text 2 days before the wedding changing the time of hair and makeup. I responded within the hour to ask her what she meant. No response. Before I go to bed, I text her again to make sure we don't change the time. I sent the text at 140am because I was really worried she wanted to change the time. She texts me back at 550am berating me for texting so late at night, that I woke her up and that the initial text was not meant for me (she claimed it was for another client with my same name). I was upset by her reply because she did not even apologize for creating the confusion, but I APOLOGIZED for texting her late at night. She then continues to berate me for the late text. At NO point did she apologize for creating the confusion. I was shocked by her attitude and alarmed by her disorganization, so I decided to cut my loses and pay her in full to end the contract. I could not risk dealing with such a person on the day of my wedding, someone so disorganized, that could not even acknowledge her mistakes. All in all, extremely disorganized with her brides, does not reply to emails, creates confusion with her disorganization and is not capable of apologizing for her mistakes. Now that I see her response, I cannot believe she chooses to LIE about what happened. I have proof of everything I have written here. I am absolutely shocked and appalled!
