Karen Mowad is so lovely and perfect for an officiant

Karen is so lovely, friendly, and warm. She went above and beyond and wrote the loveliest ceremony for us. She was always responsive and kind. I'm so grateful we found her on the internet where sometimes it's hard to really know a vendor. Thank you so much Karen for making our wedding at the Rose Garden so memorable and high spirits!!

Highly recommend!

Karen is great! I had one meeting with her over the phone and you’d think she had known both my husband and I for years. She came to rehearsal and was prompt in her timing for both the rehearsal and wedding day. She even is willing to answer questions about the marriage license process, which is helpful! She made our ceremony feel so personal, and was amazing! She mailed our marriage license back to the town hall the Monday after our wedding and when it took longer than expected to arrive, was very prompt in answering that we will find a solution if it did get lost, which thankfully it did not. I highly recommend Karen as she is kind, thoughtful, helpful and prompt!

Very responsive and helpful.

Karen was the officiant at our wedding recently and she was awesome to work with. Not only was she very responsive, but also helpful in answering any of our questions. Her written ceremony was also amazing. We would definitely recommend her to anyone!

If I could give 10 stars, I would

My husband and I recently had the honor of having Karen serve as the officiant at our wedding, and we both feel so fortunate to have had booked her. The speech that she wrote was so genuine and heartfelt that it very nearly moved me to tears. She was also incredibly gracious, having waited to start the ceremony later than scheduled, as one of our guests got lost on the way to the venue. We were so very appreciative of her kindness in that matter.

In the end, it was a beautiful ceremony, and we have Karen to thank for making it so.

We had a small ceremony at our house. Karen was very polite, punctual, professional and friendly. She gave us a good price and she prepared a wonderful speech that we really liked. If you want something stress free and professional I highly suggest to hire Karen.

Karen is the Absolute Best!!

Karen is beyond amazing! She’s so kind, down to earth and just a genuine person. The first time I spoke with her, I knew we had to have her as our JOP. She’s very helpful, answered all our questions and gave us all the guidance we needed leading up to our big day. She came to our rehearsal and everything went so smoothly, thanks to her. She explains what’s going to happen the day of the wedding and of course if you never got married before, you’re nervous and thinking, will I remember all of this but she has your back and will make sure everything runs smoothly which she did on our wedding day. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, everything she wrote/said couldn’t have fit us more perfectly! She’s the absolute best!! Thank you Karen from the bottom of our hearts and we’ll forever be grateful to have had you as our JOP!! 💜

Wonderful!

My husband and I had a simple ceremony in our backyard. Even though it was just us, Karen performed a wonderful ceremony. Karen had a beautiful script that brought me to tears. I never would have expected such a wonderful ceremony for just us, but Karen did it.

On top of the beautiful words, Karen is friendly, personable, accommodating, responsive and knowledgeable. 100% would recommend Karen to anyone getting married.

Ceremony was wonderful thanks to Karen!

My fiancé and I decided to do a small city hall wedding and we knew Karen would be the one based off her Wedding Wire and Facebook pages. I contacted her and she responded same day, almost immediately. In planning, we ended up having an issue and Karen was very flexible with our needs. Karen was absolutely fantastic! Our original wedding date was April 24, 2020 but we decided to legally get married on March 21, 2020 before everything shit down due to COVID. Karen was able to do a small ceremony with just our immediate family in March and it was perfect. Loved our JP!!

Karen was our JP for our small wedding last week. She was originally going to be our JP for our 140 person wedding, but with COVID, we cut it down. Karen was very flexible and willing to work with any changes we made, including to time and location. She also helped us to customize the ceremony to be exactly what we wanted. Amazing & relaxed officiant!

Karen was an absolute dream to work with! We contacted her to perform our elopement ceremony at city hall & immediately after our call we decided to book her. She was professional, friendly but not intrusive, clearly she her stuff, and super helpful in the ceremony planning process. Of all the JPs we talked to, we felt that she was the most "on top of it" as well as relaxed, which was important for us. She promptly sent us her script, was flexible with making changes, gave us advice on how to get the marriage license etc. On the day of, she was there early, dressed in black robes that elevated the atmosphere, and did a wonderful job marrying us. I would highly recommend her! Thank you Karen for a perfect day :)

Karen is an energetic and flexible JP. Since our wedding was on the hottest day of the summer, we needed a simple and quick, yet meaningful ceremony and that’s exactly what we received. She worked with us to make sure that the ceremony reflected our values and reviewed everyone's roles at the rehearsal to ensure our wedding ceremony went smoothly. My wife and I can't say enough about how wonderful Karen was as our JP. She was extremely articulate, well spoken, genuinely engaged, and performed a beautiful ceremony. After getting recommended to Karen, we spent about 20 minutes talking to her through FaceTime. In that time, she was able to truly understand us as a couple and our love and add personal touches to our ceremony. Our guests were blown away by her words and felt as if she knew us our entire lives. She was extremely helpful with the wedding license process and always responded to our emails promptly. We had a great wedding and it all started with the tone Karen set for the evening with her beautiful words. We could not imagine having anybody else perform our ceremony. We would absolutely recommend Karen as a JP if you want a perfect wedding ceremony.

This past Friday May 18, my fiance and I finally got married with the help of Karen as our Justice of the Peace. If you're looking for an officiant who is kind and courteous, will respond back to you VERY quickly, and will bring a presence with her when she speaks, Karen is your girl. She made everything about this process so simple, she sent me a rough draft on the ceremony ahead of time, she allowed us to write our own vows and include a passage from the scripture as well. Everything about Karen's attitude and demeanor made us like her. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!! She is wonderful officiant!!

Karen performed our ceremony last week and people are still talking about beautiful it was! When we first met Karen we knew instantly that we needed her to perform our ceremony. After A number of failed attempts of finding an officiant online and at wedding events I wanted to give up and change our date. We never seemed to find a person we felt connected with or found like we walked away with a feeling we were just a number... just a contract.
We were coming closer and closer to our date and basically started to tell myself to continue to search the web - I'll take anyone at this point that could just show up and do the job.
Thankfully we found Karen. From the moment we met her- we just bonded. She has this way of making you feel special ... she is intuitive and instantly found a way to create this image of our ceremony that seemed perfect for us.
Karen also took the time to meet with our family - and as soon as we were all together it was like she has been part of the family for years!
We knew right then we were on good hands.
But I never expected our ceremony to come together and be as amazing as it was. She Took the time to find special moments to incorporate our daughter.... touching moments on our love story that she captured in our prior conversations.... and at the end of the day created a ceremony that our friends and family still talk about to this day.

A number of people can stand up in front of a crowd and read from a paper to make a wedding legal. But it takes someone amazing to meet you for a small number of moments... to stand up and create a ceremony so touching and memorable that it seems we have known each other for decades.

I found Karen through a reliable referral source. We met soon after and immediately my fiancé and I felt comfortable as she was so nice and very confident in her skills. She ran the rehearsal dinner many months later efficiently and calmly. We found Karen from findajp.com and were not disappointed! We just met with her via Skype (not in person) and she seemed skilled, friendly, and flexible. We got along just from a short video chat.

I wasn't sure how to do vows, so she sent us some standard vows she does and we edited them with personal info and took out some things that weren't really important to us or didn't speak to us. She read exactly what we sent her (including some jokes our audience liked) and it went super smoothly. A few friends specifically told us "I loved her voice - her delivery was great!" etc.

Karen responds to emails SO QUICKLY. She's like me! I don't know any other vendor who responds as quickly as she does. We sent her our payment ahead of time and everything went perfectly with our ceremony. She's definitely someone you'll want to share your big day with!
