  Karen was more than just our photographer. The first time we met face-to-face, she helped us organize our timeline for our wedding day which was a huge help in nailing down a lot of details. We did a First Look but had not determined any of the details of the moment, in particular, the location. The day of the wedding she organized our First Look after scoping out potential areas absent of random people and helped gather everyone in the vicinity to watch from a distance. She helped my mom and sister figure out the bustle to my dress because no one knew how to do it! She also checked on a few items for us to make sure that things were in place before the ceremony started. This is what I mean when I say she was more than just our photographer. She truly helped the day run smoother and it was nice to know that I/we could ask her for her thoughts and insight, especially since she had shot weddings at our venue before.
  
  We live out of state so we planned everything from afar. That meant interviewing vendors on the phone instead of in person. Of all the photographers I interviewed, she was amongst the higher priced. But after looking at her work online and speaking with her on the phone, I knew that I was willing to pay more for the right personality and great work and we weren't disappointed. Her photographs are beautiful and very artistic. Things that I never would have thought to take pictures of.

  As other reviewers have said, choosing a photographer was one of the most important decisions on my list. After the excitement of the day fades, the pictures will take you back in time to relive the happy memories. From the minute I met Karen, I knew she would be the perfect photographer for us. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious and her work is absolutely stunning. Like most people, my husband and I aren't used to being followed around by a camera and were extremely nervous before our engagement session. Karen put us at ease immediately by giving gentle guidance at first, then almost disappearing once we became more comfortable. Our wedding day seemed to fly by but somehow Karen captured every moment, including moments that I wasn't able to see! Our family and guests commented on how friendly and professional she was...that is, when they even realized she was there! Her ability to blend into the background allows her to capture moments and emotions that are completely natural. She was able to catch every moment that I thought would be important to me and several that I hadn't even mentioned - many of which ended up as our favorite photographs! And the results...well, they are simply breathtaking. More than just pictures, her photographs are true works of art. The creativity she showcases when capturing shots is truly amazing. Karen was the best wedding vendor we had, which is saying something because they were all spectacular! We absolutely loved her and I know you will, too!!

  Excellent photographer with tons of original ideas! I first met Karen when she was the photographer for my brother's wedding in 2009, and was lucky enough to see her again for my cousin's wedding in 2010 a few months after my own.   Karen Evans not only took the best pictures. She also helped the day go very smoothly. And she was flexible with ideas even on the actual day of the wedding. She did whatever whenever.

  My wedding was in November 2008 and Karen Evans came recommended to me by a friend of mine. Karen is delightful to work with and extremely talented. I forwarded her blog, which displayed photos from both rehearsal dinner and wedding, and the feedback I received was fantastic! Her photography is artistic and gorgeous, and she also captured the feeling of the events: formal & beautiful for the wedding, fun & lively for the reception.
  not only is her work amazing, but Karen is fun. I told her early in our partnership that I didn't find myself photogenic nor did I particularly feel comfortable having a photographer with me for the day. She is so easy to have around and I was truly happy to see her for my wedding events. She has a great sense of humor, an excellent eye and I definitely recommend her work. Having Karen photograph my wedding was like having a good friend with me.

  With KISO, what you see really is what you get. We wanted pictures that conveyed a story, images that captured the details of our night. We didn't want portraits and staged photos. And that is what you get with KISO, as you can see by the photos. We are very happy with our photos! We just love the feel of them, and the way they captured our wedding. I also loved that we did just a few pictures with our wedding party. We didn't spend hours taking photos with props, etc. We got unique images of our group and spent very little time posing for anything, which we liked.
  
  Advice - our parents wanted more staged photos, where there friends were smiling and posing and good staged photos of family. We didn't. But, if you want lots of those types of pictures, or if there is one photo that you absolutely have to have, like the two of you walking down the aisle at the end looking directly at each other - let Karen know. Her photos capture intimate moments and details, so be explicit if there is a must-have shot. She will be honest with you if it will be hard to capture or not.

  My husband and I are very happy with Karen's photos, and her service throughout our engagement and wedding day. She and her assistant spent the whole day with us, late into the evening, in order to capture images of as many of our guests as they could. We think they got great coverage of that. Line-em-ups went smoothly; Karen was very professional in getting that started and finished. The post-ceremony bridal party pictures were fun, and came out great. Karen has great ideas for getting group shots. She and her assistant were discreet throughout the ceremony and reception. We're _extremely_ happy with the value. We chose a package that included all of the digital negatives, and we already had those in hand less than 2 months after our wedding, which is incredibly fast turnover. Our proofbook is a lovely album on its own, and as soon as we have photos chosen (from the _many many_ she provided us), we look forward to seeing the wedding album she creates for us. The wedding day went so fast, yet Karen captured every special moment! Even during the tornado sirens, high winds, rain, then back to sunshine and rainbows-she didn't skip a beat- what a pro! She was incredible to work with and I know you will feel the same way. When we saw the pictures, it took us right back to every minute of that unforgettable day. I really can't say enough about Karen- you will LOVE her!

  Top notch, professional, friendly, prompt, attentive, down to earth - just plain fantastic. This only begins to describe our experience with KISO Fotografia. Karen was absolutely amazing! She is an extremely talented photographer and, even better, she took the time to really get the feel of what we wanted - which was somebody that was professional and classy, yet extremely fun and creative; she really has the eye to capture that perfect shot. Boy did we hit the nail on the head, we knew she was the photographer for our wedding as soon as we met! She was very up-front and honest throughout the entire process, it was so refreshing and certainly put us at ease. When our big day finally arrived she (and her assistant) were remarkable - they captured everything we wanted and more. They took the time to get around and meet with ALL of our guests, had all of our shots taken and when we thought they were done, they went around one more time to make sure they had captured it all. A month after we were married we moved overseas (that wasn't stressful!), so her online gallery was so convenient and she was so responsive to any and all of our inquiries - there was never anything left to question. We hope that anybody reading this understands what a tremendous professional that they will be getting by going with KISO. We only hope that this review will do her justice.
