Perfect Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Crichton and his team kept the party going and the dance floor was never empty. We gave him a Spotify playlist and told him to do whatever he thought the reception called for. All of our planned events (cake cutting, bouquet dedication, etc) got announced exactly when they needed to be. Crichton and his team were really easy to work with and asked questions about us and our families to understand the type of party we wanted the reception to be. Crichton acted as our officiant as well. He made us feel as though we were really close friends and that he knew us for a long time. He created an atmosphere of uniqueness and incorporated cultural aspects into the ceremony without it feeling forced. We can't recommend Crichton and his team enough for any of your wedding or party needs. -

TLDR: if you want an epic wedding day, Crichton is your guy!!! I can 100% guarantee that you won't regret it!
Brandon and I want to take this time to truly say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Crichton was both our officiant and DJ. Crichton and his team executed what we had envisioned for our special day. We can't express how grateful we are. Our wedding was beyond what we imagined. Our friends and families had such a great time. They called it the wedding of the century! Crichton knew the exact vibes and kept those vibes going. Our crowd was so lit, it made us question if we should even stick to the program any more. EVERYONE loved Crichton and can't stop talking about him. As a matter of fact, CRICHTON was the vibe!! My guests still ask for the playlist at our wedding!! We will never ever forget all the amazing work Crichton and his team did. A year of working together and I truly feel like we've been friends for longer than that. He's just that amazing. We are sad the wedding celebration has come to an end but we're glad we've gained a friend! Best believe, we will definitely be seeing him again!

We got a TON of compliments about the emcee/dj! Hire them!
Crichton and his team at The Perfect Wedding DJ's are the real deal! Our wedding journey wasn't the smoothest since it was originally planned for 2020 when the pandemic hit and we had to postpone the entire thing (until 2022) but Crichton was super flexible and accommodating for us and we are so grateful for it! From the very first consultation call, Gabe and I hit it off with Crichton immediately! He was very personable, friendly, and helpful! Admittedly, we were a bit sad when Crichton himself wasn't available for our rescheduled date two years later but we completely understood. After speaking with his team member Chris who was going to be handling our music for the wedding/reception we felt comfortable with him too and assured that we were in good hands! Looking back, a helpful tip I'd recommend (if you're a bride using them for your wedding) is not to spend too much time thoroughly compiling a song list for the dancing portion of the evening. I think that we might have spent too much time on ours though we probably didn't need to. They played all of our key songs for our program during the ceremony and reception which is the most important thing though a lot of the songs we put on our dancing list did not get played which we were a little bummed about but what was played was totally fine. We didn't get the chance to meet our emcee until the day of the event but he was FANTASTIC! Our guests loved him. He was super funny and friendly. Not to mention he kept our guests entertained the whole night through and his improve jokes were so on point! He could definitely read the crowd and knew that we liked to make jokes so it was a perfect fit! My husband is from Cali and I'm from Hawaii so we had a mix of local people and mainlanders and he entertained them all! We got a TON of compliments about them! You'll definitely want them for your event! People will always remember and talk about how awesome they were! -

When my now husband and I met Crichton we knew without a doubt he was going to be apart of our wedding. He simply radiates positivity and happiness. In the short time we spoke with him, we felt like we had known him for years. He really made all our guests feel welcomed and went above and beyond for my in-laws by speaking to them in Spanish! The music he chose from of our selection list was on point, he got everyone on the dance floor, and he even brought some amazing lighting to add to the beautiful night! I would recommend that anyone getting married on Oahu get DJ/MC Crichton, you will not be disappointed! -

Our wedding DJ was also our officiant. When we originally planned to have a destination wedding, we wanted a cultural authentic and fun reception and got both when we interviewed Crichton and we knew that we would really want him. We moved up our wedding to early February 2020 because we had a hunch that he was the missing piece and he really did deliver with warmth, humour and a personal touch that made everyone comfortable throughout the night. We changed up timelines throughout the night and Crichton also acted as emcee to keep things moving as the mouthpiece of our planner and everything worked smoothly. It's obvious he has lots of good will in the community and everyone likes working with him.... and by moving our wedding date up to an earlier time - we were able to have a wonderful wedding and honeymoon just before the world locked down. -

Crichton and his team are AMAZING. He was incredibly helpful in planning entertainment and delivering the most amazing reception we could hope for!
Crichton contacted us early on to walk us through the reception programming and make sure we were on the same page. He shared valuable insights and suggestions from his experiences doing other events. His experience really showed while he described what he thought would make a seamless program. Crichton provided an incredibly helpful framework that my groom and I could then tailor to our personal preference. He also went out of his way to meet our bridal party and rehearse, once again making the day of much easier.
The reception itself was THE BOMB. Our guests raved about how much fun they had and truly enjoyed themselves. We are still hearing back from guests months after the event.
Crichton made the night so simple for my groom and I that we could relax and go with the program we had set. Crichton took care of making sure everything ran smoothly and that everyone had a great time. Would recommend 100% .

Simply the best!
WE LOVE CRICHTON!!! My husband and I hired Crichton for our wedding this June and he was everything we wanted and more! Crichton brings such a fun and loving energy to everywhere he goes. As soon as we met I knew he got the vibe we were going for and man were we right! He got what we were going for right away and assured us our reception was in safe hands.
All of our guests raved about him - seriously every single one! He emceed with grace and shared historical background about our venue and the island which was appreciated by all. He read the dance floor perfectly and knew EXACTLY what everyone wanted to hear - including a Beyonce medley that brought the house down. He also made it super easy to end our formal dances gracefully - not an awkward moment in sight!
I'm also compelled to mention that he was also incredibly kind and shared his giant fan with me as I may have been overheating just a tiny bit :) talk about above and beyond. I wish we had parties all the time so we could hire him all the time! Thanks, Crichton! -

As a Type A, super detailed and fussy style of bride, I can be tough to please. Now that our beautiful wedding is over and I can reflect on the entire experience, I can honestly say we would 110% choose Crichton again. He was one of the few vendors that exceeded my already high expectations. From our initial conversation with Crichton, I knew he would be fun and we loved that he was local too. He was one of our most responsive vendors (ideal for the Type As out there) and he has a total rockstar of an Executive Assistant, named Sara. She coordinated all of the contracts and payment deadlines and just checked in with us in the months leading up to our event. She's a total professional, who pays attention to details. We gave her our list of 15 totally obscure (yet meaningful) songs we wanted to hear during the dinner service THE NIGHT BEFORE our wedding. While we sat there with our friends and family, we heard those songs playing softly in the background. Crichton also served as our MC flawlessly. So smooth and confident and hilarious. He's a consummate professional, yet exudes the chill island vibe you want at your wedding. His Assistant the night of our wedding was Russell. Oh Russell, what a gem. He's a combo of Hype Man and that one guy that can get anyone to dance at a wedding (including my dad who's never danced in his life!). Not only did the two of them put on an entertaining show under their DJ tent, they hit the dance floor! They were dancing with aunties, leading us in the Cupid Shuffle...my own girlfriends kept asking them to dance with them. They are so charismatic, so fun and so professional. We were worried no one would dance at our reception. Crichton, and his The Perfect Wedding DJ's team, kept the reception flow running smoothly and on time, and they got our friends and family out of their seats and up dancing. We are so lucky to have found them and grateful to them for making our special day, a lot more special. Mahalo nui! -

Okay, this is pretty late coming, but man, you should hire Crichton and The Perfect Wedding DJs for your wedding. They're the best!
Crichton was fantastic to work with, and we can’t recommend his team at The Perfect Wedding DJs more highly.
From the first meeting, he was warm, friendly, and interested in getting to know us. He’s a chill guy, friendly as anyone local would be, and he is a great listener. That skill is great when you’re first meeting and he’s getting a sense of your style, but it’s also key to his being a great DJ.
On the day of the wedding, he was right there with the party, keeping things moving, taking requests appropriately, and playing music that kept folks coming back to the dance floor for more. Everyone walked out of the reception talking about how great the DJ was.
We gave Crichton some guidance about our style - the physical aesthetic and the music choices, and we sent him some sample songs on a shared Google spreadsheet. He took it from there and got us everything we wanted. He even helped us find a live musician for the ceremony!
Look, if our experience with The Perfect Wedding DJs was average, I probably wouldn’t have left a review. The fact is - take a meeting with Crichton if you can, and if you get along with him, go for it. You won’t be sorry. -
Susan Sent on 06/06/2018I booked the Perfect Wedding DJ's for my wedding this past April and they were AMAAAAZING! My package included the monogram, the photobooth, the uplights, the mic for the ceremony, the music for the ceremony, the cocktail hour music, reception music, and emcee. Crichton was seriously THE BEST. He was so easy to work with because he's so easy to talk to! He was very patient, understanding and very accommodating!
Everyone at my wedding had a great time, thanks to Crichton! He was soooo hilarious! He kept everyone laughing and entertained throughout the whole reception! I hate going to those weddings where the program just drags because the emcee isn't funny/entertaining....well, my wedding was the polar opposite of that! We played a bunch of wedding games and Crichton got the guests really involved! Not to mention, his uplights and monogram made my reception look amaaaaazing!! :)
Throughout the whole program, we had to move things around because we were running late...but Crichton totally saved us!! He is GREAT at improvising!! On multiple occasions, he had to act quick and think on his feet...and he nailed it! He was such a natural that nobody knew we were behind schedule!
After the ceremony and reception, all my guests asked about my emcee and how good/funny he was! Everyone had such a great time that it's been over a month and they're still talking about our wedding! :)
I'm not gonna lie...we went through some stressful times during the wedding planning process but Crichton has a way of making people feel comfortable!! Thanks Crichton for talking me off the ledge and for always helping me feel at ease!! Ryan thanks you too!! haha!
I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and everyone! You definitely won't regret booking him! :) There are a lot of DJ's and EMCEEs out there thinking they can do the job but can't. Crichton is legit!!! He's the BEST! Call him for a consultation...you'll see!! :) -

If I could give Kani Events 10 stars, I would. My now husband and I don't share the same religious beliefs and wanted a secular officiant, but someone who could still find a way to connect us together and to our guests. At the recommendation of my husband's work colleague, we were connected to Chrichton Uale. The second we met with him we knew he was exactly who we were looking for. In fact, after our consultation I was literally giddy at how perfect he was. He is so kind and all smiles, and brings an an absolutely incredible, warm energy to the space around him. He blessed our ceremony with beautiful Hawaiian protocol, bringing gravitas to our ceremony without making it performative. As a cultural practitioner, he brought an amazing energy into the rituals that was genuine and even resonated with guests visiting Hawaii for the first time. He's also funny! He brought the right amount of humor and made guests laugh, putting everyone at ease and setting the tone for the whole wedding. It sounds cliche but the ceremony was beautiful and I'm still pinching myself over how happy I am. Several guests RAVED about him. How often do people rave about a wedding officiant?! I even heard our own photographer approach him after the ceremony to let him know she was going to start recommending him to other couples. Crichton is truly something special and I cannot recommend him enough. -

Perfect wedding DJs was recommended to us by a friend who said they were the best vendor at their wedding and they were not wrong! Critchon does an amazing job reading the room and playing to their energy. We didn't give him much guidance on music for our reception and he played a VERY wide range of music (country to hip hop to pop to oldies), but it did keep the dance floor packed the whole night from the 20-year olds up to the 70-year olds! If you want a fun party with lots of dancing, just trust him and go with the flow! -
Resham Sent on 03/29/2018We had such a blast with Crichton and his crew at our wedding! Our wedding planner described Crichton as a super fun DJ and charming emcee, and she was right on. From Crichton's creative way of excusing tables to the buffet line to his perfect introduction of my hula to the way he listened to our request to make the dance floor as wild and sweaty as possible, everything was seamless, and we couldn't have asked for a better person to make our wedding super fun and memorable. People are still talking about how good the music was and how much they loved Crichton. Definitely recommend their team!
