People were still asking me about this cake a week later! It was that good! We got wedding white with Bavarian cream. It was very pretty and seriously delicious. Ann was easy to work with as well. Highly recommend!

Top Notch!
Ann Neal with Kakes Xcetera made our daughter's wedding cake, and it was fabulous!
This is the second time we used Kakes Xcetera. The first time was to make a 3D Olaf cake from the movie Frozen for an event. The second time to make our daughters wedding cake. Ann exceeded our expectations each time.
Ann worked with the bride and groom to make the cake they wanted. The cake was beautiful and tasted AMAZING! Many of our guests commented on how good the cake was. We ordered more cake than we knew we needed so that we could take some home and enjoy the next day with a cup of coffee when things settled down. I'm glad we ordered extra because a lot of the guests went back for a second slice. Best strawberry cake I've ever had!
Ann's pricing is very reasonable. The quality of service she provides is exceptional. I learned after the wedding that while the ceremony was taking place, Ann stepped in to assist the wedding coordinator with malfunctions that occurred in the venue's reception space. Ann went above and beyond and demonstrated how much she cared the wedding day be perfect.
I recommend Kakes Xcetera to all my friends and family, as well as using her for any future events without hesitation!

Ann is the BEST!
Kakes Xcetera provided our wedding cake in early May 2019. Ohhhh man, that cake was everything you look for - gorgeous, reasonably priced, AND genuinely tastes yummy! Ann was flexible with us and helped us figure out a smart way to incorporate multiple flavors when we couldn't pick one. The cake tasting process was easy, communication was consistent and friendly throughout wedding planning, and the day of the wedding Ann arrived early to set up the cake and add the floral decorations from our florist. She also provided a beautiful cake stand for us to use. Not gonna lie, we were still nibbling on left over extra cake about 5 days later, it was so good! 100% recommend Kakes Xcetera, no negatives here- Ann is the best! -

Kakes Xcetera has done my bridal tea cake & my wedding cake. The cake is always full in flavor. No matter what flavor you get you enjoy them all Strawberry, Chocolate, or Vanilla the cake leave you always wanting more. My family was still asking me if any cake was left over after the wedding. The service is always professional, great attention to detail, & a delightful experience. -

Ashleydawn Sent on 06/12/2010Kakes Xcetera is a hidden gem. Comparitively, they are much cheaper than most in terms of price per slice and quality. A week later, the cake is still yummy! I got a butter cream cake with fondant accents. I suggest fondant accents because an all fondant cake isn't very tasty. She was timely, responsive, flexible with the payment options and on-time the day of the wedding. I would use her again for other events! -

She took my ideas, and made a beautiful cake out of them, that was more than perfect. Her red velvet was delicious, as were all the other flavors we chose.
I changed my mind multiple times, and she always was able to send me ideas that were similar to what I was talking about.
She made a groom's cake for my husband, and it was wonderful. It had a motorcycle on top of it that looked just like the motorcycle he owns. It was all he talked about when he saw it!! -

Brianna Sent on 11/28/2017My wedding day was amazing. 3 weeks prior to my wedding we met with Ann and we decided we wanted her to STICK AROUND at the venue to cut the cake when the time came, as well as bring the cake out to a table I had predesignated for it. Naturally I forgot about the cake cutting because I already had so much on my plate and my bridesmaid wasnt any freaking help. My grandmother had to ask me where the cake was and telling me that it should be out for everyone to see. I had to search all around our venue to find the owner of the business and she told me that Ann had left and that she said she would be back! WTF! And on top of that the owner of the venue carefully brought my cake outside saying to me "I cant promise I wont drop it" She also ended up cutting the cake instead of Ann when we had already paid her a 35$ cake cutting fee 3 weeks prior for something she didn't even do. All in all I had a beautiful wedding and married my best friend and father of my first born child. Cake was delicious and absolutely beautiful but service was less than sub par.

Jennifer Sent on 10/28/2013To be honest, Mrs. Neal created a lovely cake that was absolutely delicious; all my guests were very pleased. My issue is not with the cakes, but with the lack of care once the wedding is over. First, the venue accidentally put the cake stand in our car, when Mrs. Neal realized this, we offered to meet her half way to get it back to her at a time and day that was convenient for her so she didn’t have to drive to our house to get it back, she has apparently forgotten this compromise. Mrs. Neal makes it a big selling point that you will receive a free anniversary cake, which was one reason we went with her. For our anniversary, we were out on a cruise and didn't have use for a cake at that time, we were hoping to have a party when we came back and share the cake with family. Unfortunately, upon return, I was laid off by my work I put my time and effort into finding work. I contacted Mrs. Neal about 3 weeks after our anniversary to request a cake & explained the circumstances, she refused saying to was 'too late' and 'It is not Kakes Xcetera's responsibility to remind you to order your anniversary cake. We are very strict on the 30 day policy.' I am devastated that Mrs. Neal cares more about deadlines & contracts than her clients. We planned on ordering a cake from her every year on our anniversary, but not now. I may not be in the bakery business, but I do hold a BBA & I have some advice for her. If you want repeat business, you have to show your customers you care. If it were me, I would send out a congratulations & reminder card to each couple 6 weeks before their anniversary reminding them to order their anniversary cake. Why? Because that kind of commitment and extra effort is what gets couples to come back and to keep that bakery fresh in their mind for other events. She does have tasty cakes at reasonable prices, but if you want that anniversary cake, you need to stay on top of it because she only cares about a good impression for the actually wedding.
