OVERVIEW: Kyler and Grace of Kai-Photo were a great value for service. They were prompt, thorough, and professional with all of their communications. And the photos looked amazing - we still looked quite natural and like ourselves, but more polished. Thank you for making my wedding a success and capturing so many album worthy moments.
DETAILS: We found Kai-Photo via the web and this company was highly recommended by several venues and other vendors. Grace, the booking manager, replied to all my emails within the same day (though usually within the same hour); she was very organized and pleasant. We also communicated with Kyler since the planning stages; he was not only helpful with advice for photos but also for planning our wedding in the early stages to fill in where our wedding planner was a bit amiss. Not at all part of his job, but he was the consummate professional and was quite helpful anyway. Grace arranged for us to video-chat with Kyler so we could discuss specifics. After hearing his recommendations, we emailed Kyler a list of photos (with lists of specific family members and friends & certain preferred shots). He was very accommodating and offered his valuable expertise on what would work logistically. And then on the day of the wedding, my groom had to change hotels; Kyler's team came through yet again with a creative plan to best utilize our time to get the groom's shots in along with all the other wedding shots he suggested and we planned. Kyler and his second shooter that day (unfortunately I don't remember the man's name) helped us and our guests look our best. And our photos came back even sooner than expected.
BOTTOM LINE: Wedding photos are in general expensive, but Kai-photo delivers a high quality service at a competitive price. This is an investment that I'll enjoy for times to come. I recommend to book Kai-Photo while they are still available for your event!

Kai Photo did my wedding back in July, and I was very impressed! The pictures came out beautiful, and Kyler was so nice & professional about everything! He was very patient with the families (trying to get them to make a straight line was like herding cats), and they were EXTREMELY accommodating for any modifications to the original plan.

We even did an impromptu session at some of the more interesting backgrounds on the properly, and the pictures were absolutely amazing. They scoped out the best places for picture taking, and I have to say, Kyler really has an eye for making pictures pop!

I was really nervous; since I didn't schedule an engagement session or anything with them, the wedding was the first time I was going to be working with them. But Kyler was so professional about everything, it put me at ease. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone planning their wedding, but book early because they fill up fast!

My fiance and I recently had our engagement photos taken with Kai Photo. After seeing their previous work, we knew that this was the company we wanted to go with. We explained our vision for the photo shoot (natural, fun, playful; not too cheesy or romantic-y). We even wanted to use props such as a guitar and cupcakes to make the photos more "us". Kyler replied to all our emails quickly and offered great ideas and suggestions to enhance our vision. The day of the photo shoot, Kyler was very friendly and professional. He let my fiance and I interact naturally together while making small changes to our poses or positioning. He also took some posed pictures of just the two of us. The photos we received were AMAZING. Natural, fun, sweet, and romantic (not cheesy)- exactly what we wanted! Not only did we receive the fun and natural pictures we wanted, we also got some great posed shots that only a talented and experienced photographer can deliver.
Overall, Kai Photo is a great company. They are easy to work with and really take the time to understand what you want. Kai Photo was highly recommended to me by my brother, and I will definitely be recommending them to all my family and friends too!

It was a pleasure to work with Kyler and Grace for our wedding photography! We mostly worked with Kyler (though exchanged some nice emails with Grace, too!). Kyler was always very prompt to reply by email and had very helpful suggestions as we worked together to think through the wedding timeline with respect to capturing important photos. He was just as punctual on the wedding day and in getting the finished photos to us within the timeline he specified, and most importantly he was just a really fun and pleasant person to be around. He did an amazing job of putting us at ease and capturing the spirit of our day, both in posed and candid shots. In selecting a wedding photographer, I scanned a lot of online portfolios and was very impressed with Kai-Photo's, which is why I contacted them in the first place; the finished product we received lived up to my expectations! As a result, we now have a great selection of photos that record truly memorable moments from our wedding!

Awesome photographers! I am from Alabama but got married on Oahu. We chose Kai after checking out LOTS of portfolios online, and we are so glad we did! We got 90 minutes of coverage with a destination package, and Kyler managed to get every photo we wanted and more. We were so excited to get such top notch quality photographers at a reasonable price. We got preview photos within a week and they are wonderful!

Photos You Will Love

Kyler was our photographer for our July 2018 wedding, and we could not have been more pleased! He was very professional and friendly throughout the entire process, from the planning stages before the wedding, to the actual day, and afterwards as we chose our wedding album photos. I was nervous about planning our wedding from afar as we live in Australia, but Kyler was very receptive and quick to return my emails. We even had a facetime meeting, which gave me a good feel of what it would be like to work with Kyler. We worked together on making a timeline for the day and everything went smoothly. The photos Kyler took were fantastic, and we had many compliments from friends and family about them! Thank you, Kyler, for being part of our big day and helping capture special memories that we will have forever.

They were the best! Since we were on a budget it was really difficult to find a photographer that fit our price AND provided great quality photos and we found that in Kai Photo. Grace and Kyler are a great team and very nice. Kayoko who was our photographer for the actual day did a fantastic job. She took great photos and we actually forgot she was there most of the time! We would recommend Kai Photo for any photographic needs you may have. They have great customer service, great photographers and great prices/products. What more could you ask for?!

There are so many wonderful things to say about Kyler and Grace. Every interaction we have had with them, from our first phone call all the way through getting our photos, has been marked by their professionalism and their obvious care for their photography.

We were completely blown away after our first phone call with Kyler. We had already fallen in love with his photography, but that phone call cemented the fact that we wanted to work with him. He discussed his photography style, talked us through a possible timeline for the day to ensure we got in all of the photos we wanted, and even started giving us some tips on how to make the most of our photography. We also loved that the photos would come with a photo release so that we could get the photos printed anywhere. It was clear that Kyler was both thorough and knowledgeable, and - as I have come to realize is characteristic of all of the time we spend with him - it was such a pleasure talking with him that we had no clue an hour had flown by when we got off the phone.

The day of our wedding, every one of Kyler's actions emphasized how amazing he is. He arrived early, and worked to help us maintain the photography schedule we had created so that everything ran smoothly. He quickly adapted to changes that came up in our plans, including when the venue had another ceremony going on in a spot he hoped to use for some pictures. Aside from the moments when he had to come to the rescue of something, we found that he was unobtrusive and let us keep our attention on our day while he captured all of the important moments.

We've now received and admired the finished photos. All of the pictures were absolutely gorgeous! From the posed shots of us as a couple, to all of the candid pictures showing the little things that we missed, the collection of photos truly captured our wedding day. We have been truly impressed with the quality of the work that Kyler did and are so glad that we chose Kai-Photo for our wedding.

Engagement photos

We had our engagement photos taken by Kyler, and the experience was fantastic. Neither my fiancé nor I had ever had professional photos done before, so we were worried we wouldn't know what we were doing and we'd feel awkward, especially with people around. However, Kyler made the whole process easy and enjoyable. He found an amazing, secluded spot and was excellent at drawing out authentic reactions and poses. Every shot was guided skillfully, and his professionalism was evident throughout. We had a great time and are thrilled with the photos. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I could not be happier with the decision we made in choosing KaiPhoto to photograph our wedding! After looking through the photos on their site, and our first meeting with Kyler, who was one of our great event photographers, we were SOLD! While planning your wedding there may be a few decisions you make that you aren't 100% sure about, but picking KaiPhoto to photograph your wedding will not be one of them. They were always on top of emailing me back, and very helpful when it came to answering my many questions. The day of our wedding, when we weren't running exactly on time, they never once made us feel rushed. They gave us all the time we needed to get the photos we wanted, and gave my husband and me time to really enjoy being together. The day of your wedding is going to fly by, and when it's all over you will be happy you chose KaiPhoto. They did not miss a single second - from the detailed pictures we have of us getting ready in our hotel rooms, to the photos we have of us sharing intimate moments at sunset, to my husband's friends falling and fighting over the garter - they got it all. book these guys if you can get them. great photos. great composition, creativity, and quality. at no point did i feel like they were trying to pressure me into buying a bunch of prints that i didn't want like so many other photographers do. in fact we didn't buy any prints. they allowed us to buy just the data so we could choose where to make the prints and the size on our own. the possessing was fast. we got married on a Thursday and the photos were available for viewing online by Saturday. the CD with the data was in our mailbox in California when we got home from Hawaii.

Truly Amazing!

We love Kyler and Kai-Photo! I wish we could give them more than 5 stars because they truly deserve it.

We worked with Kyler in 2019 for our engagement photos after our family recommended him. We absolutely loved all of our photos and working with Kyler was such an easy and enjoyable process, that we were so excited to work with again for our wedding.

Due to Covid-19, we had to postpone our wedding from October 2020 to October 2021. Throughout the two years that we have worked with Kyler, he has been nothing but professional, personable, extremely responsive, and always willing to answer our questions and offer his expertise when we need it.

Words can't express how much we have enjoyed working with Kyler and how wonderful he is. He traveled from Oahu to the Big Island for our wedding and arrived on time and ready to go. He was so great with directing all of us for pictures, whether it was myself, my bridesmaids, or any of the guys. He was also so great with our 5 year old flower girl and ring bearer. I know that it can sometimes be challenging to engage young kids in photos, but Kyler knew exactly how to engage and interact with them during the photos that they were included in. Overall Kyler made the entire day and all photography so enjoyable and effortless for us, and I think it really shows through on our photos.

We absolutely LOVE all of our photos and could not have asked for anyone or anything better! Kyler is very detail orientated and made sure to take the time to help us pose, direct us, or remind us to fix our hair or leis when needed. He was extremely attentive and was open to all of the things we wanted to do/incorporate into our wedding photos, such as going back to the same beach where we did our engagement photos to get a few in our wedding attire. He even helped us redo our photography timeline about a month out from the wedding, and we can't thank him enough. It turned out to be everything and more than we could have hoped for.

Kyler is wonderful and I recommend him to anyone and everyone looking for a photographer, whether it's for an engagement, wedding, or even a family photoshoot! His work is amazing, he is kind and so easy to work with, and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed

There aren\'t words to describe the fantastic work and professionalism that Kai Photo provides! We met with Kyler almost a full year prior to our wedding, and any email that we sent, Grace, his office manager, was so prompt to reply to. After recieving that level of service, we knew that they were perfect vendors for us. \r\n\r\nGrace was also very instrumental when I had silly questions about how flowers looked in photos, or how much time they needed to get enough photos of our ceremony. They are detail oriented, professional, talented and offer a level of comfort that I didn\'t expect.\r\n\r\nDuring the ceremony and reception, I didn\'t even notice Kyler most of the time. 1. Overall Experience
My overall experience with Kyler and his team was exceptional from start to finish. Kyler and his team were professional, attentive, and took a genuine interest to ensure memories from my wedding were captured for my wife and I.

2. Communication and Professionalism
Kyler was very responsible to my messages and did his best with is experience to help us in planning my wife's and I's wedding. On the day of the wedding Kyler and his team were punctual, attentive, and easy to work with throughout the entire event. After the wedding communication was open with Kyler and his team in regards to the processing of the photos.

3. Creativity and Style
I choose Kai-Photo because I like the style of photography Kyler and his team produces. Kyler and his team do their best to capture moments in their most natural, candid, moments. They blended into the background and seamlessly moved throughout the event and venue. For set photos they knew how to bring out the best in a photo, the fact that they could keep my nephew's attention for photo's is a clear indication of their skill in their trade.

4. Punctuality and Time Management
Were they on time? Did they manage the schedule well on the day of the wedding?
Example: "The photographer arrived early and was incredibly efficient with time, ensuring we didn’t miss any key moments without making us feel rushed."

They were punctual and very attentive to the schedule set-forth by my planner. They were incredibly efficient and any extra time was used to capture great moments. At no point did we feel any sort of stress when it came to the photography of my wife and I's wedding.

5. Quality of Photos
I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the final photo's. Every image taken that was sharp, well-lit, and perfectly capture the emotions of each moment.

6. Posing and Comfort
Kyler and his team made us feel completely at each, giving guidance without making anything feel staged. Even our guests commented on how well the felt during the group photos.

7. Value for Money
Do you feel you got good value for the cost? How did the pricing compare with the quality of the service?
Example: "For the level of service and quality we received, the pricing was more than fair. We felt we got great value for our investment."

We definitely received a great value for our investment. For the level of service and quality we received, the pricing was more than fair. Hands down Kai-Photo will be at the top of my list for any photography needs.

8. Post-Wedding Experience
The photo delivery was timely, and the online gallery was easy to use. Kyler and his team stuck to their projected schedule for when we would receive our photos.

9. Recommendations
I would highly recommend Kai-Photo to any couple looking for a wedding photographer, Engagement photos, or even off-site family photo's. They captured my wife's and I's day perfectly and were great people to work with.

We had a destination wedding in Hawaii and we had Kyler as our photographer as part of a packaged deal with the venue. I was nervous since we didn’t pick who our vendors would be, but we were assured we were in great hands and that all would be fantastic even planned sight unseen.

The venue was exactly as we had hoped and Kyler did a fantastic job at Getting so much of our special day with photos we can cherish for a lifetime. I really appreciate that he got so many of my husband’s family before I arrived (I am late for everything and this day was no exception) and I adore his attention to detail in his photos, he focused on things I would have never known to ask for but would have missed not seeing later.
I also appreciated the way he handled our family and me and my husband during the private photos as I’m not the most publicly affectionate and my husband is not the most photogenic, but he got us shots we love. If you are in the market for a creative photographer, you can't go wrong by hiring Kai Photo!

I had been in contact with Grace from the beginning of our wedding planning and she was so helpful! She was very fast to respond to my emails and even offered me some advice on some wedding locations. Kyler was our photographer on our wedding day and he was amazing!! He was fun to work with and did a great job. He even let us take a couple pictures of eachother using the fish eye lens. We had a great time. We got the CD with our wedding photos (over 300 pictures!) about a week after the wedding. I am so glad we chose Kai-Photo as the photographer for our special day and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Kyler and Grace are amazing! I had no idea where to start looking because there are so many photographers out there and a common regret I hear from people who got married is that they wished they had better pictures or more pictures taken since this is all you have to remember your special day. I was lucky enough to find Kai-Photo on Facebook since my friends are fans. Grace is so fast at responding to any of your inquiries and Kyler meets with you for free to discuss what you had in mind to see if this is what you had in mind. I loved their photos at first sight. :D Their pictures are one of a kind and it reminds me very much of a fairy tale album since they take mostly candid pictures. I got bored looking through other photographers work because it was traditional with the same lighting or backgrounds so I didn't think I would find a photographer that met my standards. I recently reviewed all of my photos taken to choose my album and the angles and lighting is beautiful. They captured everything I was hoping for out of my wedding. I would recommend looking on their website to see some poses you like that they've done before. But you don't have to worry because Kai-Photo will capture everything you want in your special day. We are so happy with the photos!!!
Price is very reasonable. Compare yourself to others. Customer service is the best. They don't tell you what to do but instead get to know you and work with your schedule.
I hope all the brides to be out there are lucky enough to find Kai-Photo too.

We had a medium sized destination wedding in May, and the one thing we wanted to invest in was photography. I considered quite a few photographers, but I found myself coming back to Kyler's photos again and again. I was really drawn to his aesthetic, his use of light and nature, and his ability to capture the beauty of both landscape and candid emotion. When we first contacted him, he was incredibly prompt in his reply, usually getting back to us within hours. We were able to meet Kyler in person before our wedding. When we met him, he not only had several photo albums for us, he also started sketching out a timeline for the photography (and for our wedding!) with different pricing scenarios. At that point, we ourselves had JUST started thinking about the event timeline, so this was incredibly helpful and above and beyond our expectations. And we hadn't even signed a contract yet! When we finally did officially hire Kai Photo, Kyler was very accommodating, including amendments to the model release clause that would respect our privacy. It was really important to me that our photographer was familiar with our site, so they knew where the best lighting, angles, photo opts, etc were - and Kyler definitely came through in this regard. When the big day came, Kyler was early to the site for our first look and was ready to get to work. He had ideas and gave us direction for poses, which we appreciated, without it being too awkward, while also giving us space to be ourselves. During the ceremony, he was well positioned and unobtrusive, so we could really be present. He moved quickly through our shot list and was VERY patient with our guests assembling themselves for the photos. However, the candids during and after the ceremony are where his work really shined! He was able to capture such authentic emotions and moments at angles we didn't think were even photographed! To us, this was the real value of Kai Photo, and for this, we will forever be grateful for hiring Kyler.

Kai-Photo was so easy to work with. The day of our shoot, Kyler was very friendly and professional. He was there early and so easy to work with. He knew what he was shooting and how we wanted the photos to come out. Kyler and Grace were so responsive to all my questions and emails, and also give us very helpful suggestions, which just made the whole set up so stress free.

Our pictures came out quickly but beautiful,we could not be more happy with the results!!! Kyler was so patient on our wedding day, helping to organize the chaos, as well as all the reception pictures. We managed to snag him for extra hours and he definitely made it worth our while! He captured the essence of that day.

The absolute best photographer!

It was wonderful working with Kyler to plan the details for our wedding in Hawaii, and although we are located on the mainland, Kyler was always available to answer our questions via phone calls and through e-mails. He was also very attentive to our requests, and closely worked with us throughout the process to make sure everything would run smoothly the day of the wedding.

When the actual day of the wedding arrived, Kyler and his team made the photo experience quite enjoyable and fun for us and our bridal party. We received the post-processed photos a few weeks after, and we were extremely pleased to see how perfect all of the photos looked to capture and remember our special day.

It was a joy working with Kyler and his team, and we highly recommend their services to anyone seeking amazing quality and utmost service. We look forward to having another photo opportunity to work with Kai-Photo Hawaii.

Kai-Photo was everything that we hoped for! We originally picked them over the hundreds of others because we liked Kyler's style. For almost the whole year of 2009, we have worked with Kai-Photo in their many aspects of photography. In February 2009, Kyler and Grace shot our engagement photos at the ever so crowded Punahou Carnival. It was definitely a daunting task for my husband and I because we've never been photographed before in such a public event. However, Kyler made us feel so comfortable by just having us talk to each other and focus on just one another. Quickly, the tension of the crowd watching went away!! He also joined us on the Music Express and took pictures from the seat in front. DEDICATED!! We just loved the way the shots came out because it was so colorful and vibrant!

In June 2009, Kyler and Will shot our wedding. They were very punctual and actually came a little earlier than scheduled, so they were able to get all of the necessary pre-bridal shots without having to rush. I'm so glad that they were able to adjust to the small amount of space that we had to get ready. They just seemed to always find the perfect shots in the small space they had, which we were so grateful for! There are so many shots that they were able to get that I didn't get to see, such as guest reactions, "special" moments, and a play by play run down of literally everything that happened!! In a few weeks we were able to view all of the photos shot from the wedding and in a few months we received the beautiful euro-crystal photo album! We always get compliments on the photos and especially how beautiful the cover of the album looks!

Then Kyler shot our trash the dress session in dirt/grass and in the ocean, which of course turned out beautiful and thank goodness my dress survived with no scratches!! And lastly, we met up one last time in the year to shoot our Christmas pictures with the newest addition to our family, our dog...Mochi! He really captured great moments of "family" time!!

Also, Grace was such a pleasure to work with! She was so prompt in responding to emails and answering any type of questions I had. The instructions she gave were so easy to follow, she never missed a beat!

Thank you again Kai-Photo for a really memorable year in 2009! We hope to work with you all again very soon!!

Professional, efficient, and talented photographer!

Kyler is awesome!! We first met him at Ko'olau Ballroom's wedding expo and he was really nice and very knowledgeable. We did both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures with him, so it was nice to get to know him before the big day. My husband and I were worried about our pictures being too "posed" but Kyler was able to make our pictures look very organic and natural and they came out beautifully. He has a very calm presence which helped put us at ease. This was great to have on a day as busy and stressful as our wedding day! What was also great was that he was very familiar with our venue and knew the best places to go to take pictures during our cocktail hour. He is so efficient and thorough and we were able to finish pictures a little early so we could enjoy some down time before the reception started. Highly recommend him and his team!! The Complete Package :)

Deciding to go with Kai-Photo Hawaii for our engagement and wedding photography was a decision we will never regret. Leading up to it, we did a lot of research, contacted a handful of photographers, and met with a few including Visionari and Mike Pham Photography. It was hard to decide because there are so many highly recommended photographers out there. We hired Kai-Photo because after meeting Kyler, we felt that we found someone personable, exceptionally skilled and truly dedicated to their art, genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple, and easy to work with. We aren’t camera people, so having a photographer we felt comfortable around and could trust was incredibly important to us. On top of all of that, we don’t know of anyone who does panoramic crystal albums the way Kai-Photo does.

From the first time we contacted Kai-Photo and throughout the months that followed, Kyler responded quickly and meticulously answered all of our questions. We were planning our wedding by ourselves in a short span of time, so having someone who communicates well like Kyler really helped to diffuse some of the stress. The way he gave us information, suggestions, and timeline deadlines in manageable chunks showed us how organized, knowledgeable, and experienced he was. Kyler worked with us to create a wedding photography timeline that would get us the shots that we wanted in the amount of time we had, suggested efficient ways to get photos with all our guests in the amount of space we would have, and even offered to look at our reception program for us when we mentioned that we weren’t sure if the timing was right. Talk about going the extra mile, and we found that this work ethic also showed in the photos that Kai-Photo took and processed for us.

Kyler worked around our schedules to do a two-location engagement photo shoot that told our story, even accommodating that the locations were farther apart than what would be normally recommended for the time constraint. This was our first experience with a professional photographer so we were nervous, but Kyler was able to help us feel comfortable. He balanced giving us solid directions with asking for our input regarding special poses or backgrounds. It ended up being a super fun experience, and it was neat that Kyler was getting excited about the photos and wanted to show us sneak peaks of shots he got. He sent us the link to our online gallery in less than two weeks, and the photos were amazing! We loved the variety of special moments captured against the vibrant scenic colors and creative lighting setups.

Kyler and another photographer, Kristy, came to our wedding. They were both friendly and professional as they met our family and wedding party, which helped everyone to feel at ease. Kyler’s attention to detail really stood out to us; he caught little things like the bottom button of one of the groomsmen’s jackets that shouldn’t have been buttoned, or fixed how my dress fell to show off its intricacies. Kyler and Kristy blended in seamlessly during the ceremony while getting their shots; we hardly even noticed they were there and yet they captured so many of the moments that we want to remember. Even when things happened outside of “the plan” like family members not all present for family photos, waves coming onto the shore where we were going to stand, guests asking to snap photos with their cameras, and my last minute request to take a few extra photos with my bridal party, they handled it calmly and with grace. We received our processed photos just about five weeks later and are thrilled with how they came out. The link to the online gallery has been great to share with family and friends, and we continue to get compliments about our engagement session and wedding photos. We feel so fortunate to have found Kyler of Kai-Photo Hawaii and would hire him again in a heartbeat.

There is so much to know and decide on when it comes to your wedding but the first thing I knew for sure I wanted once Gary proposed was Kai-Photo.

I remember first looking through their pictures online a few years ago and being amazed at how they captured every detail and moment of the event. You can literally feel the emotions of the people who are in the picture, and that is exactly what we wanted! Being able to look back years from now through our wedding pictures and still being able to feel the excitement and joy from our day.

The first thing we did was our engagement photos. Now our theme was very unique (apple meets droid) but Kyler and Grace were so excited over it and even gave amazing suggestions to go along with the theme! We had so much fun just being ourselves throughout the entire photoshoot with Kyler! Once the pictures came out and the invitations were sent, our family and friends were very impressed!

Leading up to the wedding I began to appreciate them even more! Their customer service is amazing especially since anytime I had any questions, they got back to me ASAP. Not many vendors do that! Grace is so organized in what she does that you feel safe knowing that everything will turn out perfect!

On the day of the wedding everything went very smooth which I know is hard to believe! I would sometimes hear other horror stories about different vendors not showing up on time or not knowing what’s going to happen next… but this was definitely not the case with Kai-Photo! They came prepared with their timeline knowing exactly what should happen so that it didn’t stress me out at all. Plus they prepared me for what pictures were going to happen next which was awesome because with everything going on, it was so hard to remember! They even came up with amazing ideas to capture Gary and my quirky personalities in the photos!

There was so much detail to capture with our wedding and they captured it ALL! Everyone deserves to know how great Kai-Photo is from their professionalism, dedication, passion, and talent! Thank you so much for allowing us to relive the memories that will last us a lifetime!

Fantastic wedding photography and videography

We found Kai Photo thru our engagement/wedding ring shop. Kyler first took our engagement photos, and we were quite impressed so we booked him for our April wedding photography and videography, including same-day edit video. Kyler was very easy to work with throughout the entire process; he was actually one of the first of our vendors that we started communicating with. He takes the time from the beginning to get to know you and what your vision is. He also helped guide us through a lot of our planning process because he has so much wedding expertise; he was almost like a bonus coordinator! Kyler was also very responsive to all of my correspondence the entire time (note some vendors don't start replying promptly until your date gets closer), which I thought was very professional and helped with answering questions and moving the process along. He and his team made sure to capture everything we wanted, plus more! We and all of our guests were also very impressed by the same-day edit video played at our reception; many folks commented afterward on how awesome it turned out and they could not believe it was put together so quickly! The final gallery of photos and full video will take time for any photographer/videographer, but Kyler gave us some "sneak peek" photos the day after our wedding, which were fun to look at and share with our family/friends dying to see pictures. I got married at the Moli'i Gardens in May. Planning a destination wedding is very difficult. Especially if most of the vendors in Oahu take forever to respond. But that wasn't the case for Kai-Photo. Grace and Kyler responded right away and even managed to create a timeline for me. Aaron and Mako were wonderful photographers! They took fantastic shots and even managed to get the kids to hold still for photos! All the photos turned out fantastic! We recently had a destination wedding in Hawaii. It was a packaged deal, so we were not sure who our vendors would be prior to the event. The venue was perfect and beautiful. Magnificent Photographer Who Captures Those Breathtaking Moments

Kyler was beyond amazing to work with. Whether it be his professionalism, his eye for detail, his flexibility, or his candor, he was truly one-of-a-kind. I don't believe any other wedding photographer has an eye that matches his acute attention to minutia. He consistently provided excellent ideas for couples' photos, family photos, and entourage photos. The angles and lighting that he utilized for scenery and background photography was exquisite. Even when a situation presented itself as less than ideal (rain/drizzle, wondering wildlife, rambunctious children), Kyler knew how to take all of those elements and embed them into a picturesque moment that told a completely inspirational story.

From the moment we booked him, Kyler constantly stayed in contact with us. He allowed for an open communication channel so that we were well prepared for our special day. When the time of our wedding came to be, he offered reassuring guidance and provided nothing but the utmost comfort when it came time to capturing those most intimate of moments. I can honestly say in hindsight that I would have preferred nobody else for my ceremony.

I was extremely happy I chose Kai-Photo to take some beach photos of my husband and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Not only is Kyler a great guy, but he is an incredibly gifted photographer with an eye for photography like I have never seen before. My husband is a photographer and was absolutely blown away by the breathtaking photos and precious moments Kyler captured through his lens. Grace was incredibly helpful as well, even with the time difference between Australia and Hawaii, she always replied to my emails within a matter of minutes and even suggested a location for our shoot. Her recommendation to have the photos taken at Waimanalo Bay was absolutely perfect for us, what a gorgeous deserted location and stunning backdrop for our photos. I was expecting it to take a couple of weeks to have the photos sent to us, so you can imagine how surprised and delighted I was when the finalised photos were dropped off to our hotel the following day! I cannot thank Kyler and Grace enough for their fantastic work and kind assistance, we will cherish these memories always. We will be back Oahu and we will be back, Kai-Photo!

Kai-Photo is the best! Wow! I do not know anything about photography but I definitely know what I want to see in my wedding photos. Our photographer Kyler was AWESOME!! Our wedding was held in Honolulu, HI, but since we are from California, we only went by reviews and the internet when we picked our vendors. We were a bit skeptical in the beginning since we didn't know what quite to expect, but all we can say now is that we are so happy we chose Kai photography.

Our destination wedding was held at the Ocean Crystal Wedding Chapel and our recepetion was at the Hilton's Rainbow Suites on a Friday where there happened to be fireworks that we incorporated in our wedding. Kyler and his team took awesome photos of the fireworks and were very professional. Grace, who we were emailing pre-wedding was great as well. She was very quick to respond and was pleasant to talk to over the phone.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the ease and professionalism held by Kyler and his team. Since our wedding was only about a week ago, we are still anxiously waiting to recieve our photos although Kyler did send us a lil' sneak peek at one of our pics and all my husband and I could say was ..WoW! Gorgeous photo of us at during the fireworks show.

Kai-Photo did an amazing job with our wedding. Their team is very friendly and professional so that made us very comfortable working with them. Our photos came out soooo beautifully and we couldn't have asked for a better photography team! They we're also delivered to us very quickly. We would definitely recommend Kai-Photo to any couple for their special day!

Best wedding photographer

Kai-Photo was the absolute best! They have done 3 weddings for our family. They knew where to get all the best shots at each venue and how to cue us into the perfect pose. They were friendly, flexible, and professional. Would absolutely recommend to everyone.

Kai Photo was absolutely fantastic for our engagement session as well as wedding day! We had the opportunity to work with both Kyler and Kayoko, respectively. Both the engagement photos and wedding photos came out amazing!
They are both very talented photographers and have great ideas for photos. They talk you through the entire session rather than just taking random shots with no direction. In my experience with both photographers they seemed to understand lighting and setting up the shots perfectly.
Thank you, Kai Photo for allowing us to relive our memorable day by just looking at the photos.

We are from Australia and we had a destination wedding in Oahu in October 2010. When choosing vendors the most important criteria for us was email responsiveness and the amount of detail and helpfulness in their emails. Kai-Photo were amazing - they always responded within a few hours. I absolutely loved working with Kai Photo. In fact, they were the very first vendor we chose even before we selected our ceremony and reception venues.

The one small downside in working with them was that there wasn't as much variety in the photo locations as I'd hoped (eg. all our guest photos were taken at the front of the chapel, whereas I would've liked some to be taken at other locations for variety). To all brides to be, make sure your shoot list includes exactly WHERE you want the photos to be taken.

Kyler was absolutely wonderful! He has a great photographic style that captures the beauty of your wedding day. My husband and I were so happy with how our pictures turned out - as were our guests. The online gallery was available within 2 weeks of the wedding. Great photography!

We really enjoyed working with our photographer. He was really professional and nice. He made us feel really comfortable and he was really creative too. The results (the photos) are fantastic! We have now high quality photos memories of our wedding day.
We received the photos and album and everything was beyond our expectations! The album is really nice and the CD design is really great.
