  Very Pleased!!

  Johnnie is fantastic! I love that she is flexible as well. My husband and I originally planned our wedding for April 2020 and had to cancel (thanks to COVID). Then, my husband and I decided to do a very small ceremony that we planned in just two weeks. We got in touch with Johnnie and she made it happen for us even with such short notice!
  Our wedding (and engagement) pictures turned out phenomenal! She is also very fun to work with.
  Johnnie is definitely our go-to photographer.

  Johnnie was fantastic! She has a great eye for photography, and was upbeat, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. I would recommend her to others wholeheartedly!

  Johnnie was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly responsive and professional - a Charleston wedding gem! My now-husband and I retained her for our entire wedding day. Despite being a one-woman-show, she effortlessly and tirelessly photographed each of us getting ready with our respective bridal parties at different locations, captured candid moments of our ceremony, organized group shots, and photo-documented the cocktail hour and reception that followed. She applied her creative eye without being over-bearing or intrusive and gave us photos we never would have thought to ask for (and now couldn't imagine not having!). We received digital copies of the high-resolution photos about a month after the wedding and a gorgeous book with highlights from the day (our favorite!) shortly thereafter. As a couple planning our own wedding, we quickly realized that a seemingly infinite number of pieces needed to come together to create a magical day, and Johnnie was a significant portion of what made our entire experience so easy and the outcome so perfect. I'm very lucky to have found her and highly recommend her services!

  Working with JW Picture Studio for our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made! Johnnie is such a pleasure to work with and our pictures came out amazing.   The advice I would give to a couple looking to book JW picture studio is that if you want somebody that is willing to work with whatever you throw at them than you are at the right place! I am not the best at planning and almost always wait until last minute and it did not phase her at all! She made adjustments to fit exactly what I wanted. The main thing I asked for was candid pictures during the wedding and she got some amazing candids! I could not have been happier with all of the pictures.. and there were a lot! Thank you JW Picture Studio, you're amazing!

  The photographer was very accommodating and thorough. I would have preferred that I had put more thought and planning into specific shots that we wanted, since we had family and guests from far and wide, but simply did not have time to get that done beforehand. Had I put some thought into that process, it would have helped the photographer in deciding what shots were important to us, but the photos were all of good quality and quantity, and there were plenty to select the best for our album and for sharing with friends and family. We were very pleased with the service!

  Missed time deadlines

  The engagement photos went well. However, she was late to every appointment. The day of the wedding she didn't know what was going on, when she was given directions to contact the wedding coordinator for the wedding day logistics.
  
  She never discussed with us prior to the wedding what photos we wanted taken. Which I did not realize was needed until the day of wedding when there was great confusion during post ceremony photos. As the bride I was the one directing people and chasing them down for photos.
  
  Following the wedding she exceeded her own deadline for getting us the proofs, and she did not contact us. After fighting to get a hold of her she said it would be done the next Friday. When she did not contact us with the photos again, we had to again reach out to her to figure out what was going on.
  
  Then she did not give us the memory book (which was in our contract) until we contacted her relentlessly. She dodged our calls until I managed to call her from another phone and she answered. we were married in November and finally got the book in March, which she sent to the wrong address. Very unprofessional.

  JW Picture Studio's reply:

  Arielle, I'm so sorry that you had such a terrible experience with my services. I take full accountability for your book, that was 100% my fault and if there is any way I can make it up to you I would love to. The engagement session was the only other in person meeting that I've had with you and your now husband and I was unaware of any dissatisfaction with the session(s) as we had two due to weather issues. I did contact your coordinator the day of with questions but I got a voicemail (last minute) letting me know the contact I had was away on an emergency. No less, confusion should not be a concern on one of the most important days of your life. I did send an itinerary and shot list before your day. This lists out all the photos that I intended on taking based on a questionnaire that you filled out. Again, I apologize for your bad experience and will always be available to you if you would like to discuss a way for me to make it up to you and your husband.
