Justin was really amazing to work with. All of the photos were really excellent. He has a wonderful demeanor, and a way of getting us out of our heads and just enjoy ourselves. Some of our favorite pictures were the goofier ones he had us take, which also helped us relieve some stress just before the wedding itself. Justin and his team were relentlessly positive and they were a delight to work with. Hopefully we don’t need to hire another wedding photographer again, but if we do, we’d hire Justin! -

Justin is an incredible photographer. I fell in love with his photography way before even getting engaged was up for discussion. I had high hopes, and they were exceeded. As someone who feels extremely awkward in front of a camera, it was crucial to have someone who helped us feel natural.
I know everyone says it in their reviews, but it's true - Justin is genuinely friendly and great at helping you feel secure and confident in having the type of wedding you want most (and then swooping in and capturing it all.) I am not exaggerating when saying that before our sweetheart session, my spouse and I had ZERO photos of us kissing or any other PDA because we both felt so awkward! You'd never know from our sweetheart session - Justin is a rockstar at helping his clients feel relaxed and feel like they're able to be themselves in front of a camera.
Throughout the day, Justin was incredible at helping us feel like we were the stars of the show, without the tremendous pressure of "This Is Your Day." He had us laughing early and managed to whisk us away for some reflecting, romantic evening photos as well. Our family also raved about him, and I think my spouse's sister is now obsessed with recreating the posing from one of Justin's cues in every family photo now until the end of time.
I didn't feel stressed about worrying whether we'd get all our "loved ones" or whether we'd have time for "golden hour" photos (yes, and yes.) I didn't overthink how I looked. I was able to enjoy being in the moment, and as a chronic overthinker, that's priceless.
We were gushing about Justin's work from our sweetheart session and we were absolutely blown away AGAIN. Somehow, Justin successfully captured even more incredible shots. The gallery is authentic, romantic, silly and just so US - and it's just the previews! I can't wait to hang even more of Justin's stellar work in our home.
I know whatever projects Justin takes on, the results will be vibrant, joyous, and authentic. You couldn't ask for a better person to be alongside for such an important event.

Choosing Justin as the photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! He took time to really get to know us so that we were as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. When unexpected things happened on the day of, they didn’t bat an eye and made sure we still got all of the shots we wanted. Justin is so thorough, kind, affirming, and fun, and the pictures turned out amazingly. 1000/10 would hire again -

Justin did our engagement shoot in May of last year, and we loved him so much that we asked him on spot (before we even saw the photos) if he was available for our wedding this April. Not only is he a phenomenal photographer with an incredible eye for unique, fun, and gorgeous shots, but he makes everyone being photographed feel comfortable and confident. His questionnaire he gave before the wedding was thorough and it led to us making sure every moment we truly cared about was captured. We liked Justin so much we've already had a friend book him for an engagement session and another friend ask about his services as well. We couldn't possibly recommend Justin enough. -

If you are looking for a sign to hire Justin, this is it! He is so talented (as his portfolio shows), has the best energy both before and day of, and is so inclusive. He handled our big loud crazy families so well, and somehow managed to be everywhere at once while blending right in with the party. I will definitely be going back to Justin for all other major life events I want photographed, and couldn't recommend him highly enough! -

We were lucky enough to find Justin before we were even engaged, so we were blessed with not only the most magical wedding day photography experience, but also our engagement and engagement party! Justin is ABSOLUTELY the best of the best. A true professional and a true friend every step of the way, Justin’s desire to make us feel safe, seen, prepared and excited leading up to our day was so clear and so deeply appreciated. And his craft could not be more impressive. He helped make every member of our bridal party and family comfortable throughout the day and by the end of the whole process, he will forever feel like family. And his second photographer for the day Amber was an absolute dream to work with as well, so you know you’ll be in good hands with anyone Justin brings along! Justin is incredible! Right from the start, we could tell he was the perfect fit for us. He’s warm, hilarious, thoughtful and goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. He’s generous with his time, has a great eye for beautiful and unique shots and is always ready with a joke or an idea to diffuse any potential stressful situations. He does his homework and really learns about the couple, their friends and family so that he can both work efficiently and make everyone feel like they’re working with a friend. He goes above and beyond for his clients, even generously tipping a kid’s lemonade stand to allow us to take photos with her dog on our wedding day! He also goes above contracted expectations, doing whatever it takes to get the great shots and providing way more photos than we expected! Our engagement photos were beautiful, we loved the wedding teaser shots (which we received incredibly quickly), and the full set of wedding photos were magical. There are so many and they are all perfect!! He doesn’t know this yet, but we hope he’s ready to be our go-to family photographer! We could not recommend him more! His assistant Kamilah was also professional and pleasant and helped get some great shots! -

Best ever (and I don’t like anyone)
Justin was the first vendor we booked after choosing our venue, and we could not have made a better choice for our wedding. From our initial consultation meeting (over drinks at a low key bar) I knew that Justin was the photographer we needed. My husband and I both instantly felt comfortable with him which was incredibly important to us as people who are not particularly excited about having our pictures taken.
Justin worked hard to ensure he knew our vision for the day, asked about any insecurities we had about being photographed, and made sure to find out how he could help us feel calm the day of. I had NO idea how important that last part would be until the day of when I was suddenly feeling like an ultra-stressed bridezilla. Every time I panicked about timing or something potentially going wrong Justin was a calm voice of reason, ensuring me everything was on track and working with our families to make sure everyone was where they needed to be. Whenever anyone asks what the best part of the wedding was, we tell them it was the 30 minutes we spent walking around our venue neighborhood with Justin. It was the calmest and happiest we felt all day.
In addition to being a phenomanal person to work with, Justin’s work product is truly amazing. I don’t think of myself as particularly photogenic, but Justin made me feel like a goddamn model in our engagement and wedding photos. I don’t know how he did it, but he captured the exact vibe of our relationship and our wedding. Our families can’t stop sharing the photos, and I am always waiting for another excuse to share one. If you want a professional, hilarious, insanely talented photographer for your event you cannot go wrong with Justin. -

Fantastic wedding photographer
Justin was our wedding photographer when we eloped in New York in August 2018. From first contact to meeting him on the day of our wedding he was easy to chat to, friendly and personable and really made our day relaxed, stress free and all about us! He wanted our day to be as special as possible and nothing was too much trouble for him.
He listened to the kind of photographs we wanted done and made sure that he fulfilled that brief. In fact we ended up with so much more than we had even thought of. He was happy to give us extra advice about our time in New York such as places to eat and things to do.
We received some “taster” photos before our week in New York came to an end and when we got the rest of our photos - WOW! Everyone comments on how amazing they are and we really have him to thank for capturing our very special day. Our photos really are amazing and I would whole heartedly recommend him as a wedding photographer! -

Having worked alongside Justin for several years now (as his second shooter and also a videographer), I can safely say there is no one I would trust more to document a wedding day. I've seen first hand how he goes above and beyond for each of his couples, not just capturing the moment, but creating lasting art worthy of a big fat frame! Whether it's capturing a sunset background or a still moment under the stars, Justin goes out of his way to capture beautiful and natural portraits of his couples. His fun and casual energy puts family and friends immediately at ease, and has them laughing throughout family portrait sessions. Justin also delivers incredible value for his price point, which is very competitive within the New York wedding sphere. Of course, I wanted to have him on my team when I got married as well, and was lucky to have him document part of my wedding weekend. Hire Justin! You won't be disappointed. -

Wedding Photography
Hiring Justin is one of the best decisions we made while wedding planning. My husband and I are by no means models and Justin made us feel so incredibly comfortable both on and off camera! Our bridal party and families also said how comfortable he made them feel as well. He has an arsenal of jokes and prompts to create natural smiles and the most incredible pictures. He also took all of my weird picture ideas and turned them into something beautiful. Our photos have come out absolutely amazing, and we have received so many compliments on them from friends and family! As well as being widely talented, he is also the most wonderful human. We would hire Justin again in a heartbeat! -

Made getting photographed fun!
We hired Justin to photograph a sweetheart shoot and our wedding. My husband and I don’t really do photos of ourselves and felt super awkward about it all, but Justin broke the ice quickly with some funny prompts at our sweetheart shoot. By the wedding, we felt much more relaxed about the photo process. Justin was able to navigate family drama, various groups of friends, and some small spaces to create an amazing album of photos that was even delivered early! You can really feel the emotions of the day in the photos. I liked that he included some beautiful portraits of our guests - we had a small wedding and our chosen family is super important to us. All said, we would (and will) recommend working with Justin! -

An artist and a joy to be around!
My wife and I love movies. A lot. So much so that we're on a first name basis with the staff of our local multiplex. When we got engaged we knew we wanted to have our pictures taken at the theater. It seemed like a crazy idea and Justin jumped at the chance. He came to the shoot filled with ideas and a contagious enthusiasm. Even before we got the amazing pictures we knew we wanted to hire him for our wedding day. The photos from the engagement shoot made us even more excited for our wedding, if only to see what Justin would do!
On the day of the wedding he made us feel comfortable and at ease the whole time. He worked with our wedding planner and videographer to make sure everything went buttery smooth so we could be completely stress free. Our friends and family loved him too! He managed to make what by all accounts should have been an uncomfortable few hours and turn it into a genuinely fun experience for everyone involved. The wedding party had a blast goofing around and posing together.
In addition to his great eye for staging Justin has a way of capturing moments of beauty you didn't even know were there. Blink-and-you-miss-them moments like the belly laugh after a joke, the joy of dancing with old friends, and the most meaningful of shared glances. He managed to bottle the full range of emotions of our day and lay them out in stunning detail so we can relive it over and over again.
Not only is Justin McCallum a phenomenal photographer, he's also a passionate lovely person who is a joy to be around as well as work with. -

Excellent communication from start to finish, safety precautions were taken for the entire shoot, and the final photographs were gorgeous. Summary:
Justin was wonderful to work with! I highly recommend him.
For context:
We were one of the few weddings that happened in March 2020 — during the start of COVID & when the world was in intense panic/unknown. We went forward with our wedding anyway... but cut the guest list down to JUST 4 people to be safe — our parents.
Details:
Even though our plans changed last minute (literally 48 hours before the big day), Justin rose to the occasion! He was a lot of fun to work with, and he really elevated the mood. Justin also had a calming presence and was able to adapt quickly with the last-minute change of plans that was completely outside of our control. Which I think, in the year 2020, is KEY. Lastly, the final pictures were amazing. He sent them SO quickly. I've heard stories of people waiting weeks to get sneak peek pictures... his turnaround time blew me away. (For the sneak peek pictures and the full reel.) Again, highly recommend him. Our wedding experience was certainly not "normal" with COVID starting to spring up in the US. So, I imagine Justin would be even more delightful in "normal" circumstances... if there even is such a thing as "normal"! -

We can’t say enough wonderful things about Justin! My husband and I recently got the first batch of our wedding photos, and they look exactly the way the day felt: beautiful, warm, and authentically happy. From our first call, it was clear Justin understood exactly what we wanted from our wedding photos, and from our wedding in general. Throughout the entire wedding planning process, he was kind, respectful, and genuinely interested in getting to know us. By the day of the wedding, we were excited to hang out with him and introduce him to our friends! Justin and Emily made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and even managed to get our 2 year-old nephew to stand still long enough for some great photos. To say that Justin is the best ever would be a severe understatement. If I could press the 5-star button a million times, I would. My wife and I hired him to be our wedding photographer and we couldn't be happier with that decision. From the very beginning, he was an absolute pro, put in the work to get to know us as people, did everything in his power to capture the magic of our special day, and was all around just an amazing human. He's exceptionally skilled at his craft and a true artist. He knows how to make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and (most importantly) have fun while you're being photographed. He takes total charge of the situation, especially when wrangling family members (and us) for photos throughout the day, which was super clutch. We did one of his Sweetheart Sessions before the wedding as well and it was an absolutely blast. I would recommend Justin for any/all of your photographer needs! -

Having Justin shoot our wedding and reception was easily one of the best decisions we made. As two people without social media who don’t feel comfortable taking pictures, Justin made us feel at ease and very confident in front of his lens. Both our engagement and wedding shoots were full of laughter and fun, and it is evident in the incredible photographs that we get to look back on for the rest of our lives. Justin begins with in-depth conversations over Zoom and even an in-person drinks ahead of time to ensure that personalities matched, and that expectations, wants, and needs, are clear. He asked thoughtful questions, even down to how he could intercede in awkward or unpleasant moments during the wedding, which was above and beyond his job description. This attention to detail clearly reflects how personable, thoughtful, sensitive, and compassionate Justin is. He also was so proactive and flexible in ensuring that we were inclusive and accommodating for special needs family members, which literally made me cry because that can be something very challenging to navigate and for Justin, it was just him being a good human and very good at his job.
The photos themselves came out unbelievably - to the point where we gifted our parents photo albums and other family members requested copies of their own! When we originally searched for photographers, so many wedding portfolios felt like stock images or standard, canned, or trendy poses. Justin is truly in a league of his own. His style is unique, and that is what grabbed our attention in the first place. He has a way of capturing the essence and individuality of each couple that is unparalleled. All of our friends and family continue to rave to us about how wonderful and fun he was..and we know because we had to literally purchase a digital frame to deal with the happy “problem” of having TOO MANY AMAZING photos.
TL;DR: Hire Justin. Thank us later. -

My husband and I are so obsessed with Justin and his photography! He was the first vendor we hired for our wedding, and we knew from the minute we met with him that he was the one (actually, from his first email response to our date inquiry where he asked a ton of questions about us and our relationship). He really gets to know you as a couple before he photographs you and makes you feel so comfortable while you are being photographed. We did a "sweetheart session" with him in May, which was a ton of fun, and the photos turned out so beautifully. He also sent 10 photos as a preview literally 2 hours after our wedding ended and they are perfect. We cannot wait to see the rest of the photos and cannot rave about Justin enough. He's a total pro, does his homework, clearly takes time to prep, and knows how to take control of the situation (e.g. wrangling and organizing family members for photos). He is just the best - super responsive, friendly, really fun to work with, and so great at what he does. Hire him! -

The g.o.a.t!
First of all, literally one week after my wedding I received teaser photos that left me drooling for more!
Less than 2 months later, I received ALLLLL of my photos from our day.
I sat at my computer and went through them.
I was beyond pleased. Each and every photo was amazing.
I literally felt like I was reliving that day in that moment and I can not thank Justin enough for capturing our day to perfection.
Most times I try to mentally recap the day, I can barely piece together a chronological version of the day.
But THE PICS!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Justin! As a local wedding planner, I've known Justin for years but finally had the pleasure of officially working with him last month. Pre-event, he was incredibly professional, communicative, and responsive, which is definitely not always the case with photographers. He also joined me for a walkthrough of the venue in order to get a grasp of the venue's lighting and scope out cool backdrops for photos. He definitely does his due diligence, which I love! On the day of the event, he and his second photographer were such a pleasure to have there. They captured the party so perfectly and brought a fun and vibrant energy to the day. I also had the honor of having Justin take some portraits of me and they are honestly my favorite photos in years. He's great at giving direction on how to pose and he's a genius at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Seriously, hire Justin! He will be the perfect photographer for your wedding day! -

I should begin this review with the fact that I am a very self conscious person—I rarely like looking at photos of myself and the photos I enjoy taking are goofy ones where I can lean into my more unique qualities. So when it came time to choose who would capture our wedding day (and our engagement photos before that!) I knew I needed someone I could trust and who could make me feel comfortable. I’m so thankful that Justin McCallum is out in the world providing that exact service. Not only does Justin have a truly unique eye capturing traditionally beautiful photographs but he can see beyond the traditional as well and find angles you never knew existed! All of our staged photos came out perfectly, but my favorites from the day were the candids he captured where he just allowed us to be ourselves enjoying the day—those photos were where the true magic was found. Me taking in all my loved ones at the reception. A high five between my now husband and I before entering dinner. My best friend wiping away some happy tears. There are too many specific snapshots to mention that I treasure as much as the day itself. In terms of personality and professionalism there’s no one like Justin: he has a way of making you feel at ease and sensing when you’re feeling self conscious or sensitive and knowing how to bring you back to Earth. He can make you laugh naturally, asks questions that refocus and recenter yourself and is just amazingly kind and considerate to everyone around you. There’s no barking orders from Justin—he keeps his cool under the most stressful of circumstances and just felt like one of the gang on the day. I can’t count how many of my friends and family came to me after the wedding and told me “Justin was AMAZING” because he made us ALL feel special and beautiful. One of my favorite moments of the day was as the sun had almost set Justin ran up to us and said “I need to borrow you!” and he took us outside to where the sky was an indescribable shade of red and orange and took a gorgeous silhouette of my husband and I before he lost the light. It’s maybe my favorite photo ever taken. So please, if you’re looking for a wedding photographer don’t just take my word for it, take the word of everyone who was present at our wedding who felt just as blessed to be documented by an artist as talented and a soul as kind as Justin McCallum. -

Simply put, Justin is the BEST of the BEST. While his photos are undeniably beautiful in every way, it is Justin’s personality, humor, flexibility, professionalism, and panache that set him apart from all the rest. He was one of the first vendors we hired and, from day one, we knew were in excellent and expert hands. He took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple, which allowed us to have a seamless relationship (and friendship!) by the time we actually stood in front of his camera during our sweetheart session and on our wedding day. This level of comfort was key — neither my husband nor I had ever been professionally photographed, but Justin made us feel completely at ease by cracking jokes, making us whisper funny things in each other’s ears, and giving us gentle guidance about what we could do to make the moment, well, picture perfect! Justin goes above and beyond for his clients. During a pre-wedding chat, I mentioned the possibility of having anxiety about being the center of attention on our wedding day and the pressure of talking to so many family and friends. Justin suggested we have a signal between us so that he could whisk me away if I was stuck talking to someone for too long. I’m lucky that I didn’t need to use the signal, but just knowing Justin had my back was hugely comforting. Additionally, after we hired Justin, we were at a loss for where else to turn for the other million things needed to put this wedding together. In a flash, Justin was there with infinite recommendations based on our taste, our budget, and his own vendor relationships. Hiring Justin was one of the best decisions we made and I would recommend him a thousand times over!!!!! -

From the beginning, I knew Justin would be fantastic. He spoke with me at length before the wedding to get to know me and my fiancé, and ALL of our guests (we had a tiny wedding). On our wedding day, he showed up on time, and everyone in our party fell in love with his easy going, fun manner, which of course, led to him taking so many amazing, candid shots! Afterward, the photos perfectly captured the myriad emotions of our special day! There were so many incredible photos; every time I look at all of them again, I find another one, and another one, and...another one! He created beautiful, touching, fun, quirky, lasting memories for us. How amazing is that!!! -

I don't even know where to begin. TL/DR: Hire Justin. If you are looking for a person who is as responsible as he is fun, whose pictures are an absurdly brilliant mix of editorial, candid, and artistic; who manages to capture the most joyful moments in the most moving ways, look no further. Photography was important to me; as a bride who had many friends go down the aisle before me, I tried to heed their advice: the photographer is perhaps the most important investment you can make. When I saw Justin's pictures, one word came to mind: "joy." There was a vibrancy and humanity to his work that made me tear up just looking at his website. This, combined with the very obvious technical skill he possessed, made me thrilled that he was still available on our wedding date. Our initial phone call set the tone for the whole process: fun and incredibly thorough and organized. Indeed, throughout the whole process, Justin was our go to for any questions we had; as the photographer, it made sense for him to keep an eye on logistics, but we were unprepared for how above and beyond Justin would go to make sure our day ran smoothly, from the planning process to execution. Don't let his insanely fun personality fool you: at our wedding he was heads and tails the most professional person there, ready with his shot list, keeping things moving; and yet somehow managed to keep the mood light, fun, and a little bit raunchy. Indeed, a good word for Justin is "prepared." We had a survey to fill out before our big day, to let him know just what elements were most important to us. When I saw the photos, I couldn't believe how closely he had followed this. The sheer artistry on display, and the range of shots, it didn't seem like just one person could be responsible. The variety and quality was incredible. And that was a direct result of our having asked for that; that is the wonderful thing about Justin, he cares deeply about his clients and pays attention to them; despite his talent there is no ego involved. He also seems to care deeply about his clients' family...and their friends...and all the wedding guests; everyone commented on how friendly and professional and fun he was. I could go on, likely, forever, but a final note: for my husband and I, the most important thing was capturing the people who came that day to celebrate with us; that was what we wanted to remember most. We told this to Justin, and when I got the pictures back, I was blown away-- his ability to capture the essence of our family and friends, the way he captured distinct mannerisms, gestures...it was uncanny. That requires training, and artistry; but also kindness, empathy and depth. Justin has all of those in spades. It was important for my husband and I to hire someone we wanted to spend the day with; we didn't want him to leave! In post-production, Justin has been just as generous with his time and wrapping up any loose ends. He stays in touch and makes sure you are thrilled with the final product. It was a pleasure to get to know him and we hope we are cool enough for him to be a part of our lives forever! -

Before we picked any other vendors, we knew we wanted to work with Justin. Choosing our photographer first was partially logistical and mostly because we loved him – he was the photographer at a wedding we were in previously, so we were lucky enough to get some first-hand experience with him and how he works!
Justin makes everyone comfortable in front of the camera, regardless of experience. He’s so kind, affirming, fun, and funny that he makes it easy to feel like your best self in the photos. That wedding had a huge wedding party, and he did a great job at making the whole group look and feel fantastic, so we knew we would feel comfortable with him for our wedding. One of us is very camera-shy, so his kind and fun demeanor, while producing stunning photos, made him the only photographer we wanted to work with. Once we secured our wedding planner, the first thing we all did was compare dates with Justin because it was that important to us.
We also hired Justin for our engagement photoshoot to use the photos for our Save-the-Dates – we can’t recommend that enough! It was the perfect way for us to practice getting photographed by him, and for him to get to know us as a couple in advance. He provided the most fun and thorough get-to-know-you questionnaires and calls prior to working with us that made us feel like he cared to deeply understand who he was photographing. He put so much time, thought, and dedication into our engagement shoot and wedding day – it made us feel so special, and every photograph we have feels perfect for us.
On your wedding day, you’re around your photographer and their people ALL day, and they’re interacting with everyone else at the wedding. You want to hire a good person who can seamlessly integrate themselves into the day, get the shots you want, and still be having fun by the end of the day. Justin is absolutely that person, and everyone he works with matches those high standards as well. He advocates for you to make sure you get all the shots you want, plus so many you never knew you wanted but then can’t live without. We never felt steamrolled by any guests or family members because Justin kindly and strategically prioritized us and worked with our planner to keep us on schedule without us ever needing to keep track of the time. He made everyone comfortable in front of the camera through fun prompts and silly jokes and somehow maintained an enviably high energy level the entire day! Everyone at our wedding loved him and his second shooter, Carly, and only had great things to say about them.
The end result of each day was stunning and we are obsessed. We attempted to “narrow down our favorites” and still ended up with hundreds of photos we absolutely love, from silly and loving candids, to directed moments that captured the feelings perfectly, and stunning posed shots that make us and our friends feel like models, Justin brought it all and we couldn’t be happier! -

Gorgeous Photos & Great Guy!
I don’t even know where to begin with Justin! My husband worked in photography for years and was extremely picky about who we hired. When we saw Justin’s portfolio we agreed, we needed to hire him! His photos were so vibrant and beautiful we knew he could capture our wedding how we envisioned it. We were very right! Leading up to the wedding, Justin met up with us twice. Once, when we first were considering hiring him. He knew it was important to get to know each other so we would be comfortable on the wedding day. He was so kind and energetic, I knew he would make me and everyone else feel comfortable in front of the camera. A week before the wedding, we met with Justin again to go over our shot list. He reviewed details carefully and made suggestions that were incredibly helpful! On the day of, he was a true DELIGHT to work with. Everyone in the wedding party said he was great. Justin took us around DUMBO to take pictures and he had spots that weren’t packed with people but still captured the essence of our Brooklyn wedding. Also, he was FANTASTIC with my flower girls and ring bearer. He knew jokes to get the kids looking right at him and smiling and laughing. Their parents couldn’t believe it and said they were taking notes. We got 65 teasers 4 days, FOUR DAYS, after the wedding and they are all beautiful. I can’t wait to see all the photos but I can 100% say we made the right decision in hiring Justin and that his vibrant photography style and personality are the best combination to photograph any event. -

Excellent!!
Justin was great! We had our wedding at Reid Castle in August 2019 and Justin knew the best spots in the castle to capture personal moments on our special day. He made everyone feel comfortable and accommodated all of our photo requests on the shot list. Justin met with us beforehand to discuss our wedding vision and followed through every step of the way. Our photos are amazing and we are thrilled! Justin is a class act from start to finish. Nick and I highly recommend Justin. -

My husband and I chose Justin to be our wedding photographer. I knew we would instantly get along with his infectious energy! We met, discussed our wedding vision. Our wedding was scheduled for April 2020 and was cancelled being at the height of covid. Justin constantly checked in on us, and together we adjusted our vision. Justin worked his magic and was able to do an engagement/maternity shoot with us, and just recently we did a family photoshoot with our daughter. While we didn't have our big wedding, Justin photographed our biggest moments. We are very thankful and have the most amazing photos & memories of working with him. -

We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED our engagement photo session and photos from Justin McCallum.
The whole experience with Justin was amazing. My fiancé and I felt so at ease, and we wish he could photograph us all the time. We knew we were going to have a good time and the photos were going to be great but the whole shoot really exceeded our expectations. One of the things that was important to us was to have our dog be a part of our engagement shoot. Justin was so accommodating and had no problem incorporating him into the session.
I was particularly worried about how people were going to react with how I look in our photoshoot. I'm a proud plus size girl, but my whole life it has been rare for me to take a photo without SOME sort of comment about my appearance from others. There was a good two years where I just did not take photos of myself which I really regret. When I got the photos back from Justin I just felt so beautiful and confident, really how every bride should always feel. I did not care what comments were coming my way because of how proud I was of the shoot.
I'm crying writing this which is silly but I want everyone to know how beautiful I felt in my engagement photos! We absolutely recommend Justin to everyone. If you are not someone who is used to the camera or uncomfortable in front of the camera definitely book with Justin, he will make everything easy and you will feel beautiful! -

Justin is an incredible wedding photographer, and he’s also a wonderful, super fun, and supportive person to have around on your wedding day! I knew Justin from our college days, and when I got engaged he was the first vendor we hired. In a city with seemingly millions of wedding photographers, Justin is unique because he really gets to know every couple. He went above and beyond in the planning stage by recommending other vendors to me, getting to know my fiancée in depth, and meeting with us before the wedding to discuss everything. Our family and friends LOVED him on the wedding day and several want to hire him for their weddings! And the photos are so amazing - we are so thrilled with how everything came out! I would highly recommend Justin if you’re looking for incredible (and fun!) photos from an all-around genuine person and superstar photographer. -

Justin was the perfect wedding photographer. Working with vendors can be tough, so it was a pure joy to collaborate with someone as professional as Justin.
In the months leading up to the wedding, Justin provided the perfect amount of communication, clearly expressing what he needed from us and how we could help him, without ever seeming like a nag. Justin was our photography confidant: listening to our vision for the wedding day while also lending professional expertise and advice when we needed it. Justin was extremely prepared – just before the big day scouted the location and designed several shots, including an amazing group shot of our ~200 wedding guests!
He was a dynamo during the actual event and somehow managed to be everywhere in our large venue while never seeming imposing. There is not a single important moment that Justin missed. We continue to be impressed by the variety and talent of shots – posed shots were arranged without ever disrupting the flow of the event, candids were oh-so romantic, and he captured so many moments of band-playing boogie-down dancing fun!
Justin’s turnaround after the wedding was stellar; within 5 days of the wedding, we got a "sneak preview" that contained 60 beautiful shots. He was even willing to do some photoshop magic on one of them where an uncle was taking a very awkward bite of food during an otherwise beautiful moment!
TL;DR: Book Justin, he's friendly, artistic, experienced, and delivers amazing results. -

The incredible quality of Justin McCallum’s work speaks for itself – you can look at his portfolio as easily as we did, so let’s focus on the experience. Like a lot of couples, we feel awkward on camera most of the time. However, Justin has exactly the right mix of questions, conversation topics, and direct acknowledgments that it’s super weird to have someone photograph you making out to keep things from feeling bad. We had so much fun, the number of photos of us with genuine, heartfelt belly laughs is incredible. Justin was attentive and made sure we got all of the shots we wanted, didn’t let family members run roughshod over the posed shots, and was prepared to handle any drama (though, thankfully, none occurred!) If you’re looking through his portfolio like we were and loving his style as much as we did, I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to hire Justin.
