DJ Mike is the BEST!!

2024 had not started out great for me (medical) and, while I had every service booked, things became very last minute before our April 5th wedding. Mike was AMAZING!! We filled out the paperwork that he had sent way in advance and then he took the time to go over every last detail a couple of days before the wedding. He came to 30 minutes of our rehearsal and really gave excellent guidance. He did the ceremony music and expertly went right into reception mode as we had no breaks. People still talk about the shoe game that we did and the excellent music selection. He is also incredibly reasonable as far as pricing and he does not charge for his set up and take down time. Just what we needed!

Great experience with just press play! We were really specific about the music we wanted played at our wedding. This was the perfect option to let us curate the music and then be hands off. Our MC, Miguel, arrived with plenty of time to get set up, equipment tested, and music playing before guests arrived for our ceremony. He made all necessary announcements and introductions exactly how we asked. The dance floor was packed from the first song to the last and we had so much fun!

Amazing!! Would definitely hire again!

Jeff did an amazing job at our wedding! He kept our guests dancing all night and played all our "must play" songs to create the perfect ambiance from cocktail hour to dinner, and then dancing. He was super responsive to all our questions, very professional and friendly. We had a great time and would definitely hire him again!

Loved them!!

Just Press Play Productions was fantastic! I was worried that creating our own playlists was going to be difficult, but it turned out to be such a fun experience for me and my fiancé! We were able to include all the songs that were special to us as a couple. Also, the sound quality was phenomenal! We had two separate rooms at the wedding venue, so we added the compact speaker to our package, and you could hear the music everywhere. Our MC for the night was Miguel, and he did a fantastic job positioning the speakers, adjusting the volume, making announcements, coordinating the speeches, and overall just making the night run smoothly! He checked in with me periodically to keep the events on time, and he was professional easy to work with. Just Press Play Productions is one of the reasons our night was such a success, and I can't thank them enough!

Another excellent vendor recommended by the Grove Redfield Estate. Jeff was professional, responsive and very knowledgeable, nudging us in the direction of making the right decisions for music for our wedding. Great price and exactly what we were looking for!

Just Press Play was exactly what we were looking for on our wedding day! Their setup process was prompt and easy and the price was unbeatable. We knew we wanted to make our own playlist for our wedding and Just Press Play enabled us to get exactly what we wanted and keep the dance floor going all night.

Just Press Play Productions was a great decision for music at our wedding. Jeff was our MC, who was an absolute joy to work with. He was very responsive to emails leading up to the wedding, mixed the music well, and helped accommodate some of the oddball requests we made. We were glad to get an MC, as it meant we didn’t have to worry about the equipment. The best part is, everything was way more affordable than if we had gone with a traditional DJ. We highly recommend going with Just Press Play if you’re looking for options for high quality music service.

Jeff and his team were wonderful. Jeff was very communicative and quick in his responses. He clearly knows what he is doing and his reliable team carries out your event exactly as planned. He was even able to accommodate a keyboard rental we added after our initial contract was signed. Miguel, our MC, reached out a few days before our event to introduce himself and ask questions to get a sense of our hopes for the evening. He curated the evening using our music and our guests had a wonderful time. He was able to trouble shoot and put together a seamless evening. I would highly recommend Just Press Play. They are affordable, professional, and worth every penny.

We LOVED this vendor. Jeff responded to emails very quickly and was so accommodating with my many questions. Patrick was our DJ and he did a fantastic job. I couldn't have imagined it going better. These guys are the best!

My fiance and I initially planned to DIY the music for our wedding, but quickly realized that we didn't want to deal with the logistics of setting up sound equipment and designating a friend to man the iPod. Jeff at Just Press Play saved the day with his MC service! We were able to choose all the songs for our wedding and Jeff handled all the details the night of. He was incredibly responsive throughout the process and took the time to call me to discuss to the flow of the party, rules for taking requests, and other details. If you're picky about music and/or on a budget, Just Press Play Productions is the perfect choice!

Seriously fantastic! What an affordable and reliable option for fantastic music. We were nervous about putting together our own playlists for the wedding, but Just Press Play provided great information for compiling awesome playlists and our DJ Patrick did an excellent job MC'ing for the evening. We had several compliments afterwards that the music was great and it was truly a team effort!

Just Press Play was exactly what we needed- Jeff was really easy to work with, always quick to respond to emails and super organized (he sends you a detailed questionnaire a couple weeks before the wedding that was very helpful). Our day-of MC, Miguel, did a great job as well. Definitely worth the cost to hire an MC rather than ask one of our friends to man the music. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We highly recommend Just Press Play after using them for our wedding. In the planning process Jeff was amazing. He always responded to my emails right away and was extremely helpful. Our mc, Phil, was great as well! Our dance floor was packed the entire night. We chose all of the songs ourselves but Phil did an excellent job mixing the songs to keep the dance party going strong!

THANK YOU! Just Press Play Productions was fantastic! Jeff manned the portable speakers and wireless mike perfectly from making sure to scout out our ceremony and receptions site at our friends estate before the wedding to make sure that we would have all the appropriatie gear to accommodate our needs to flawlessly setting up at the ceremony site and relocating to the reception site all with grace behind the scenes that no one knew that it was the same speakers used for both locations. The sound quality and volume was perfect and Jeff did an amazing job DJ-ing the random collection of music that we provided to him on our laptops in Spotify playlist with talented ease. THANKS for helping make our special day so memorable!

Just Press Play was great! We had Jeff as our EMCEE, and his voice is like something you'd hear on the radio. It was so professional and everything he said into his microphone was clear and concise. We had the I-Pod DJ set up where I brought in two I-Pods filled with my music. We had a portable speaker system set up in the dinner area, and the main speaker set up by the dance floor. The sound quality was amazing, and every time I asked him to play a certain song for me off of my list he did so right away. This is a great company, and I highly recommend them.

We booked Just Press Play Productions upon recommendation of one of our friends, and it turned out to be the biggest difference-maker of our event.

At first, we thought, we only need an iPod with our playlist. So we ordered that. Then we thought, "hey, we could use a wireless microphone for our toasts." So we tacked that on, too. And then we thought, "hey, they offer a DJ to man the music and playlists for the event at a very reasonable price. Why not add that on, too?" And that has made all the difference.

A couple of weeks before the wedding, we came into contact with Jeff Ilardi from JPP Productions. We laid out every important detail about our event, and he took note of every scheduling minutiae.

The two big impacts that Jeff and JPP Productions had was
1) Providing exactly the music we wanted, when we wanted, at the perfect volume
2) Often, during the event, Jeff would essentially become our on-site event coordinator, coming up to me and reminding me that "in one minute, you have your toasts coming up!" or "Did you want to cut your cake right now, as scheduled?" We found out that, during the wedding, it is too easy to lose track of time and timelines, and Jeff was absolutely professional and helpful with keeping everything on track all along the way.

So, if you're considering hiring Just Press Play Productions for your event -- stop wondering and just book them. They will be responsive, prompt, and professional.

This was exactly the type of music service we were looking for for our wedding. And, even when our MC had to back out the day before the wedding because of a family illness, Just Press Play was able to step up and provide us with that service so that we could avoid being stressed out.

You choose and provide all your own music - so you know it will be good. JPPP provides helpful guides on how to organize your playlists and a day-of order of events document, where you indicate how you want things announced/played/etc.

We chose JPP for our wedding July 5. Alan was our MC. It was a fantastic value. For $550 we got speakers set up both inside the reception room plus outside on the attached patio, and Alan was able to use those same speakers to provide our music during the ceremony. We created our playlists on Spotify, met with Alan a couple of weeks before the wedding to go over what we wanted, and he managed the playlists on the day of. He was still able to take requests from guests and we loved that we picked all our songs - the bartender even told us that it was the best music he had heard at a wedding. Our wedding was a cocktail reception immediately following the ceremony, so we had songs for before the ceremony, a playlist for after the ceremony which was mellow music, and then dance songs for later in the evening. We were so pleased with it. He also made announcements, such as our introduction, the cake cutting, the first dance, and when new food items were available for guests. Thank you Alan and Just Press Play!

Jeff was so easy to work with over email, he understood what we needed and made recommendations based on that. Our MC Andy, showed up early to set up and did such an amazing job. My husband is a mic hog (love you honey but you are), and Andy did such a good job of letting him take over to make announcements and such. He also plugged in his OWN iPod when we ran out of songs for our money dance (I think it was the longest money dance in history). Nobody even noticed that he had to switch devices, that's a sign of a great MC who's really paying attention to what's going on. Highly recommend Just Press Play Productions! Thanks Jeff!

Jeff was our favorite vendor at our wedding. He was responsive though email and on the phone, very professional, and he really knows his stuff. He set up speakers in multiple locations: ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and outside the dinner area. They used two sets, and moved them from location to location. This helped us save money, and worked great.

He also worked with our officiant and one of our musicians to make sure everything sounded okay. He even went out of his way to help record the ceremony and make everything perfect. Highly recommended if you want to do your own music. It's best to have someone there to manage things so you can enjoy your own wedding.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Just Press Play and our DJ, Jeff. We got married at Starved Rock Lodge which is about 60 miles from Chicago. He was willing to travel and very upfront about his services and the pricing. Very professional. He was always super responsive to emails during the planning process which is very helpful. He was also flexible - we left creating our playlists until too close to the wedding and he was very accommodating about adding this service. His compliments about our music selections were definitely appreciated as well!

JPP is absolutely perfect for couples for whom music is very important. It was important to both of us that we be 100% in creative control of the music played at our wedding. We could not find a regular DJ that would accommodate that and we were so glad we found JPP and Jeff! We rented the equipment from JPP and used the MC service as well - it's well worth having a professional behind the playlists. Jeff did a wonderful job at our wedding ceremony and reception. The transitions were absolutely perfect. We thought it was great and we heard nothing but compliments from our guests. I would hire JPP and Jeff again in a heartbeat. Thank you!

Loved Just Press Play and Alan our DJ. It was so easy to contact them for information and their responses were always prompt. The value is great and they do such a great job. It was daunting coming up with all of the music for the playlists but their website is very helpful in giving song suggestions, tips and advice on putting together the playlists. Alan did a great job at the wedding, pronounced everyone's names correctly (some were difficult) and made sure my guests were having a good time.

I just had my wedding (Sep. 29, 2013), and just press play was great!!! The process of getting everything together, Jeff was so quick in responding to my emails, and making sure all my questions were answered in such detailed responses. (Even the stupid questions I had) Jeff was more than happy to assist me in anyway. Any bride on a budget, this company is your choice. Saving money or not, they are all professional and very helpful. Our DJ/MC, Robert did a great job. I gave him a detailed timeline of everything and the whole evening went very smoothly. He always made sure that we communicated and everything was to our liking.

I could go on for days about how great it was to work with Just Press Play. Jeff is a pleasure to work with. He answered every email quickly and was always there when I had a question (and I had a lot of them!) I could not believe that I would be able to find such an affordable DJ service. Alan was our MC and he was phenomenal. He was professional, friendly, and so much fun to have at our wedding. Nobody would have ever guessed the playlists came from our own Macbook! The ceremony was beautiful, and my reception was a total dance party, which is exactly what I wanted. I cannot thank JPP enough for all of their help!

Very professional. Jeff, who I believe owns the business, was exactly on time and found me (the groom, and the one setting most things up) right away. We went over the list that we had sent in a few weeks before. He was great with reminding my wife and me a few minutes before events during the reception. The equipment was top notch and his ability to seamlessly take requests from my friends and family off their smart phones was just too well done to believe.

This type of business is perfect for any wedding, event for anyone who is sick of the old fashion, boring, hear at every wedding type of DJ. You are able to set up your own music and playlist, and can trust Jeff to read the room and have the music playing seamlessly all night.

Would highly recommend this service to anyone, but especially to anyone trying to fit great music into a tight budget.

From the 1st e-mail to the final thank you card we received from Just Press Play I can’t even begin to tell you how happy we were with their customer service. Jeff replied to my e-mails with helpful information and in a timely manner.

Just Press Play is a great way to make your wedding music very personal since you make all of the music selections yourself. I really liked that aspect of this business because who knows your wedding guests better than the people planning the event. That being said, Jeff was able to play the songs that got people on the dance floor and kept them there all night long (seriously our dance floor was packed the entire night). I can’t tell you how many people said “Your wedding was the best wedding ever” and I know that had a lot to do with Just Press Play (Jeff).

I would recommend this company to anyone looking for DJ services. They provided great customer service, created the ultimate dance party atmosphere, and were even affordable. To me that is the trifecta!

I would highly recommend Just Press Play for a wedding ceremony and reception, especially if you want some control over the music at your wedding.

Jeff provided us with plenty of info to help us prepare for the big day. We followed his tips (plenty of songs and playlists, music people want to dance to, clear written instructions, etc.) and everything went off perfectly. We went with the option of having him mix our playlists as he saw fit, and as evidenced by my wedding pictures, the dance floor was always packed. Hell, there was a soul train line AND a dance-off.

Please, use their MC service. my friends were happy they didn't have to man the ipod all night long, and the MC is a professional.

As soon as I found Just Press Play, I knew it was perfect for us and we booked right away. Jeff was very prompt in responding to my inquiry, and all of the info and pricing was laid out so clearly. We were trying to save as much money as possible, so we went with a basic sound system and one light for the dance floor. Jeff was familiar with our venue and recommended a second speaker for the loft area, which made sense.

The cost of using one of their DJ's seemed very reasonable, but we decided to just ask one of our friends to man the laptop and the playlists we lad out ourselves.

The equipment arrived on time, George gave our DJ a tutorial on how to use it, and the sound was great. Everything was then picked up on time as well. We were very happy with the service and the value! I would definitely recommend this company to friends.

We chose Just Press Play because we wanted the flexibility of choosing our own dance music (no jock jams!) but the reliability of having someone with 30+ years experience DJ-ing. For those reasons, we chose "Just Press Play" and we were completely satisfied! In addition to providing the iPod DJ hook up service, we elected to order some extras: an extra Bose sound tower, a wireless microphone, and MC service. I'm so glad we did. Although our banquet room wasn't huge, it was comfortably full with guests so in my opinion, the extra tower was needed. The wireless mic was very handy for speeches. Jeff served as our MC and was the consummate professional - he knew when to seek out instruction (ex: when to begin playing the first dance song) and when to just "go with it" (he had a 6th sense for the energy level on our dance for and played fast/slow songs accordingly.)

Consensus: Jeff at Just Press Play was one of the most professional vendors I worked with in planning my wedding. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.

Just Press Play was a great option for us. Know ahead of time that the reason you get such a great value is that you pick out your music yourself, which we thought was wonderful! It was a very fun process for us to pick all the songs, and they provide some great tools to help you do it! We loved our music knowing we picked every song and the dance floor was full the whole time! Highly recommended!!

Great price, fair policies, excellent service. I don't know why there aren't more companies providing this type of service in an age where everyone has their own digital library of music and DJ chatter has become simply intolerable.

I'm thrilled that we were able to work with Just Press Play for our wedding. Jeff, the owner, is wonderful. I swear he responded within half an hour to every email I sent. He was clear about our responsibilities and provided useful tips for creating our playlists. The day of our event, he was punctual (actually, I think he was early!), friendly, and efficient. I'll be honest. I miss him.

Using Just Press Play was the best decision we made, as you get to pick all of your songs! We also opted to have lights, the MC (we had Jeff, he was great!), and gave him authority to shuffle the dance songs, which turned out to be great! We had so many compliments on our music and couldn't be happier. The MC option costs a little more, but is totally with it, as they do all the announcements for you. Jeff was awesome and so nice, every time I asked a question. I would highly recommend them, to everyone, especially people that have a lot of songs they want to play. They are extremely reasonably priced, about 1/3 of most DJs I got a quote from. Also, on the rsvp card, we put a line for a song request, and tried to put a good amount on the playlist-people get really excited when their song comes on!

Just Press Play DJ'd our recent wedding. They were awesome! The MC Robert did a fantastic job! He was friendly and so easy to work with! He did a wonderful job of playing music that kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! He also did a great job of fading out the music at just the right time for the ceremony.

Jeff, the owner, was very easy to work with and quickly responded to all my emails and thoroughly answered all my questions. He also had great advice regarding how to make the playlists. He was also knowledgeable with what equipment I would need for the space and the number of guests. The music sounded great and the DJ was awesome...all at an affordable rate! I would highly recommend Just Press Play for any wedding or party!

Just Press Play was the answer to our wedding DJ prayers! We got to pick our music, and the DJ took care of the set up and equipment. Jeff answered emails at the speed of light before the wedding. The day of Karl took care of us well and all our ceremony and reception music cues went perfectly. He got 1/2 instruction from the groom on what we wanted and it all came together. It's a great way to save money and get the music YOU want at your wedding.

JPP was by far the easiest of my vendors to works with. The pricing was reasonable, they responded promptly to all my inquiries, and delivered exactly as promised. I was worried that having an Ipod wedding would be a disaster... I've seen it go bad at other weddings. But with a professional sound system, light system and microphone, we had all the benefits of a DJ without the generic music or cheesy ad-libbing. We had a friend make the announcements for the bridal party entrance and first dance, and I announced the cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss myself! The dance floor was full all night, and we got to hear the indie music that we love. It was super fun and I would recommend a Just Press Play Ipod wedding to anyone who's planning a wedding!!!

We by far, had the BEST wedding dance party because the flexibility of our sweet playlist. He picked songs for the mood and was open to suggestions and superior editing skills.

We booked JPP for their iPod DJ equipment, wireless mic setup and MC. We talked with Jeff in person before booking and he explained the equipment and services to us.
The day of, Karl came and set up the equipment, talked with my coordinator and double checked details with me. We decided to have him stay for the entire reception rather than leave after the first dances.
Everything worked very well. Good music volume, the wireless mic worked and we danced danced danced!

Jeff was great- I was the problem! In the craziness of the last days before the wedding, I had all the playlists organized, but I dropped the ball on getting the printed/emailed copies of the playlists and the overall sequence of events together for Jeff to see before the wedding, and then there was a delay in getting the laptop with all the music to him on the day of the wedding. Jeff did a great job of winging it through the ceremony music, the introductions, all the dances- it was completely seamless and I don't think the guests ever knew the difference. If he did that well under pressure, I am sure he does a great job with a more organized bride! Learn from my mistake and get him the info ahead of time!

Jeff was super-friendly, professional and perfect for our needs. We originally hired him simply to provide a sound system for our ipod playlists--he sets up a great system at really reasonable rates. As the day grew nearer, we decided to save our sanity and hire him to man the ipods as well. He was great at this--very helpful and friendly, with lots of advice whenever we talked with him. On the day-of, he was prompt, professional and very flexible when we started switching things up in the schedule. We were very happy we went with Jeff's services and highly recommend him to anyone else thinking of going the ipod route for their wedding.

Jeff was awesome to work with! We were so happy we found him- he provided such a great service! He took my play list and went with it and mixed it perfectly and I am still hearing how awesome the music was at our wedding reception and how much of a fun party atmosphere our reception was. We paid the little extra for his DJ service and it was a great value for the money. He did great and just blended in the background, just what we wanted...a non-intrusive, non-overbearing DJ. We've seen some obnoxious ones but I would recommend Jeff to anyone anytime- he provides an awesome service and was extremely accommodating to our needs and requests. My only regret was that I think we forgot to tell him that his meal was paid for but he was too polite to say anything- I wish we would have fed him!!

Still on the fence about whether to have an iPod DJ? Worried that no one will have fun, or about that dreaded gap between songs or just not convinced it's a good idea? Forget all that. Jeff of Just Press Play is the best. I was a little concerned at first that our wedding would be lame and look cheap because we just used our iPods but everyone commented on how great the music was--it also helps if you have good taste in music. :) But Jeff is a total professional and kept the party going smoothly. Basically you set up a bunch of playlists and tell him when to play what. When the playlists for the certain part of the party are nearly over (such as the cocktail hour or dinner) he'll come up to you and let you know so there's a smooth transition to the next part of the party. You can also have him make announcements such as calling out the tables for dinner. And when the iPods went on the fritz and started playing the wrong songs, he asked us if he could go off the playlist. He has an answer for everything and is prepared for any snafu. He'll always make sure everything's cool with you before doing anything, for example no one can request the hokey pokey unless you say it's OK. Best of all, his fee is more than half of what a DJ would charge and he acts like a DJ. This was one of the best discoveries I made while planning.

Jeff was a joy to work with because he is full of ideas in a non-pushy way. Whenever you ask him a question, he reiterates that it is "up to you but here are some suggestions." He is very responsive to emails and meets with you in person. He is incredibly flexible and just a great guy. Out of all of our vendors, he was the best to work with and he was HONEST which is not always the case in this industry. Everyone loved the music at our wedding and said it was the best they had ever heard. We got that compliment from several guests for half the price of a regular DJ...because of Jeff! His voice is perfect for emceeing and he kept our whole wedding on schedule even before the big day by helping us create a timeline! I plan on my marriage lasting forever, but if we ever have an event where we need a DJ I'm definitely giving Jeff a call. Why pay a guy to yell out to your crowd to do the YMCA or have your grandparents dance to rap songs? Give your list to Jeff instead and have a reception that everyone enjoys!! Thanks so much Jeff!!

Hello,
I must say that just press play productions is a top notch company with great customer service. My wife and I decided on a destination wedding and we were married in Puerta Vallarta Mexico on May 3rd 2008. We had a great beach wedding with almost 50 guests in attendance. I decided to rent a portable Bose Wave sound system ("party in a box") From "Just Press Play" for the week and took the portable equiptment with me as a medium sized "carry on" on the flight. The equiptment was portable and the sound and operation of the "Party in the box" unit proved to be top of the line. Also, I was able to hook up a I-POD to play all of our favorite playlists not only at the reception but in our hotel room all week. In addition, a switcher was added to add a microphone for the wedding intros and speaches. Jeff patiently took his time explaining the equiptment to me and everything worked out problem free and the entire reception was unbelieveable! I am so pleased with the experience that I would definatly refer J.P.P. again to my friends and family in the future.

We were thrilled with the concept and the outcome. We spent far less than we would have for a traditional DJ service, yet we had great sound and we had the songs that we wanted for our reception and cocktail hour. Friends and family were amazed by the sound quality and the convenience. Jeff did a prescreening of the site, arrived at the designated time, provided our instructions, and returned exactly at the end of the event to tear down the equipment. We would highly recommend, and I know we'll use Just Press Play in the future for graduation parties or other events.

Jeff at Just Press Play was great. I had an iPod wedding in my backyard. I researched various vendors, but many were a little pricey and I started considering a real DJ. But then I found Jeff on Craig's List. He was really responsive and understood exactly what I needed. He was also very flexible. As we were planning the wedding, things were up in the air and I wasn't sure of the exact timing. Jeff was patient. It wasn't until only one week before the wedding that I could tell him the exact time to deliver the system, but that was not a problem.

The best part was the delivery and set up. Jeff delivered, set up and showed me how to use the system, let me keep the system overnight, then he showed up the next day and took the system back--all for a price lower than other guys would rent me a system (not including their delivery and set up fees).

It seems like everything associated with the wedding was expensive and big hassle--at least everything except Just Press Play.

Jeff was our "ipod dj" for our wedding reception at the Grove. He did a fantastic job with everything. My husband is a music fanatic and spent many hours coming up with playlists in the months prior to our wedding. Jeff's music & reception expertise helped us finalize these lists. Miguel functioned as our MC utilizing the equipment from Just Press Play Productions. Jeff’s emails were clear in regards to timeline and required preparation. After preparing several playlists and a quick call with Miguel we were set and ready to go. Miguel worked through some venue-related equipment difficulties with professionalism. The hardest part was choosing the music. On the day of the event everything went great. Services were as advertised and representative of the cost.

Even though music is critical to a wedding and reception we did not have a fortune to book a high priced band or DJ. I used Just Press Play Productions for my Hawaii wedding in August 2013. The venue we chose did not allow a DJ so our next best option was to supply our own music via iPod/iPad/laptop and use Just Press Play Production's Bose Sound System. It sounded great and our guests couldn't believe the quality of sound coming from the tiny Bose speaker. My only complaint was that the MC's voice was extremely quiet and at times, difficult to hear. We got off to a rocky start with the music and I'm not quite sure if the MC didn't know to operate my MacBook or the Spotify interface. Either way, after a few playlists, the MC seemed to get the kinks worked out and everything was smooth afterwards.

Just Press Play provided just what we wanted for our wedding. We wanted music, but weren't having dancing, so decided against the expense of a DJ. Just Press Play took music that we chose and combined it with some of their selections to provide a beautiful soundtrack for our evening. This is GREAT if you're trying to save money on music! I think it works best if you can have a friend man the laptop (oh and have back ups!) or are ok with just having a playlist play (as opposed to adjusting with the crowd). We had a friend help for the 1st part and because we had a casual party vibe, I kind of adjusting the music as we went along. Also be sure you know your guests and that you have some sense of music sequencing (I am a major music junkie and have 16G+s of music). I loved this service and am so glad I used it!
The speakers are nice and loud and work very well! They arrived in plenty of time and the company is very reliable.

We chose Just Press Play for our July 2018 wedding. We were really happy to find a service that offered just what we needed (the sound equipment and an emcee) at a price that fit the budget. It was fun working with my fiance to design all of our playlists, and Jeff was always quick to answer our emails as questions came up along the way. Our emcee, Miguel, did a great job the day-of, and the planning call with him the week of our wedding helped ensure everything went off without a hitch.

This is a great option for brides on a budget! Jeff was very helpful and on top of things. There were a few things that he didn't follow my instructions on, but overall I was satisfied!

Jeff was great. He was extremely affordable and gave me advice that helped me craft my playlists for the event. He supplied a mic for the ceremony even though we had not discussed it beforehand. Even though we selected and provided all the music, he still adjusted to the needs of the event.
The only criticism I have is that we hired him to MC and gave him a detailed timeline, but he still waited for us to come and tell him it was time to do things like the first dance. I wasn't expecting to have to watch the clock during my wedding and then go ask him to stay on schedule. I had assumed he would keep things running to schedule on his own.
He was also reluctant to meet with us for a consultation before booking, which was a little strange. We went with him anyway, based on budget and email contact, but I did worry a bit about not meeting him beforehand. It all turned out great, though.

Jeff did a great job of handling family complaints about being unable to make requests. He was also right on cue with all of the music and handled our requests well.
He accidentally knocked over my antique champaign flute when he was setting up. Thankfully we had another.
Also, he was very quiet.
I would recommend using this service, but remember to tell Jeff to speak up:) (especially if you have a loud family like mine!)

Jeff was great coordinating and planning with. He was our original dj for the the night, but something came up last minute (personal) and he was not able to mc our reception. Karl was took his place and did well. I was slightly disappointed because many of our songs we had picked to play that night were never played. Over all it was good service for the price we paid.

Our MC and DJ for the night was great! He was a big hit and even brought in some of his own music and played it for our guests. The only issue we had was that he started our first dance music before our guests were in the room (but I think this issue was more due to the layout of our venue, but he didn't adapt as well, but again not totally his fault). We had a great time! Thank you!

Just Press Play did the ceremony music as well as my reception music. Karl was our DJ and did a great job. We decided to get a DJ, as we did not want to worry about messing around with the music all night. We picked out the music and Karl played them to order. As the night went on (and the party got a little louder) he did insert some of his own choices and some requests, which was just fine. He definitely knew how to keep the party going and did a great job. He was not over the top, but was funny and professional as well. The sound was fantastic and their dirt cheap light stands lit up the room. Mic worked great as well. If you are a picky musical person, choose Just Press Play and actually get to listen to some good music on your wedding day.

I was looking to save money on a DJ and Just Press Play was the perfect solution! They provide everything a normal DJ service would provide at half the price. The only catch, is you provide the music playing device (ipad, spotify account or itunes account, etc.), you also pick all the music you want to play - you create your own playlist. They help along the way giving suggestions of songs, etc. You also meet with your DJ to go over day of logistics. Alan was great!

Even though they are based in Illinois, they have an office in Oahu. I got married in Oahu in the summer of 2009 (outdoor wedding & reception), and used their services to use my ipod instead of hiring a DJ. You can't really beat the price for what you get; and we opted to pay extra to have someone man the ipod for an hour or so (to cue the music for our wedding ceremony (processional/recessional) and to set up for the reception). Unfortunately, the guy messed up our recessional cue, but honestly, for how cheap it was, I can't really complain; especially, since they come to your site, set up the equipment, and take it away. Would recommend them if you are on a major budget and are picky about what music gets played.
