Interactive and Fun

Kurt knew how to get the guests off their feet and dancing prior to the wedding, and had a consultation a few weeks before to make sure we got every song we wanted played. They took requests throughout the night, as well.
He offers a few different packages, making sure to get everything you need, even officiating your wedding! He was always quick to respond and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend Kurt for you entertainment needs!

Fantastic Service

From the start Mike was amazingly helpful in the coordination of our ceremony and reception. Our ceremony was beautiful and well orchestrated and he was so involved with our guests at the reception. They came highly recommended to us and we would highly recommend them to you! You won’t be disappointed.

Got the crowd into it

These guys don’t skip a beat. They are affordable and very organized. They prepped the itinerary for the day, and also attended my rehearsal dinner to help guide the wedding party during timing of the music. He even dressed in similar colors to blend in with the bridal party. Kurt was hands on and kept up with the event coordinator as well. He really gets the crowd started off right by laying out music and instructing dance moves and how to do them. He comes out and helps show the crowd how to do dances. He even coordinated a fun all girls Shake it Off dance. Everyone loved the end of the night, where he had the crowd circle us to a specific fun song. The guests loved every minute. Most wedding DJs just sit back and play the music. Not these guys. They really strive to get everyone up and involved. Thankyou JKA Weddings!

This DJ is a MUST!

Just Kidding around entertainment should be your first call! They did an excellent job. They not only were DJ's but MC'd the whole night. They kept everything moving and everyone really had a great time.

Best Choice

Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was responsive and detailed leading up to the wedding. If you are on the fence about hiring him, do it! He made our wedding. His MC skills are insane and even got this bride (who DOES NOT dance) onto the dance floor. Thanks again Mike for making our special day even better!!

Nobody better in the business

I wouldn't have picked anyone different to play at our wedding. Kurt and staff did anything and everything to help our day go as planned. All of our wedding guests had the time of their lives and there were absolutely no complaints about the mix of music. All of our guests spent all night dancing the night away.

The Party Never Stopped!

Absolutely AMAZING!!!

My wedding day was absolutely amazing thanks to Kurt and Mike!! They made sure everything ran smoothly, and kept me stress free! The ceremony was flawless; they made sure everything went as planned! They helped craft a great playlist to get everyone out on the dance floor. After my wedding everyone kept raving about how fantastic the music selection was and how put together my wedding day was! Awesome DJ

Mike Warren was our DJ for our small indoor October wedding. Mike was able to get nearly all of our guests on the dance floor. Everyone had a blast. He was also our officiant and did an awesome job in getting everyone down the aisle in the correct order. The ceremony was short and personal and sweet. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. If you’re looking for a DJ or officiant, you can’t go wrong with JKA.

Kurt is the best DJ out there!! We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing he was! From our first initial meeting, to picking out songs, and being our officiant Kurt was so easy to work with. Whenever we had a question about the day he was always available to talk too. He is so great at getting the guests out on the dance floor and keeping everyone going all night long. I really couldn't thank Kurt enough for helping make our wedding so perfect! Mike & Kurt were the DJ/entertainment for my best friends wedding, and from that moment I knew I wanted them to be a part of my wedding one day. I am 110% pleased with everything - Mike was a great officiant, and Kurt was a great DJ. Kurt and his partner kept the dance moves going from the second music started. Throughout the reception he kept in contact with us regarding the next step, etc. I could not have asked for a better duo. Hands down they are amazing.

We hired DJ Mike and JKA Services for our October 21st, 2017 wedding at 99 Sea Level in Bethany Beach. Mike provided service that far exceeded our expectations-- from organizing the entire wedding party on the beach for the rehearsal to providing structure for the ceremony before and after that day, and helping to be sure our guests were enjoying everything in the moment! His professionalism and experience are apparent from the get-go and he did a great job keeping things moving at our reception. Especially loved that he organized the energetic pack of kids to do some super cute dancing! Thanks again to Mike and his assistant for making our experience feel seamless and easy. Definitely glad we went with JKA Entertainment!!

OMG! "just Kidding Around"...owner, Mike Warren was the Wedding Planner & Officiate at the Davidson Wedding last evening! Mike is the BEST that I have ever seen at an event! I made the wedding cake & Mike actually helped me set up the cake...the tiers had to be stacked directly on top of each one. Mike's officiate service was awesome...he kept all activities on a schedule...and most of all, Mike made the evening so much fun! He even led the dancing! Thank you Mike for a wonderful wedding! When I was planning my wedding, I did not want your typical ceremony music. The church I chose was limited to an old sound system and an organ. Mike and Kurt provided a "Ceremony Only" package that was just what I wanted to add my own touches to the ceremony. They were very helpful during the rehearsal with lineup and timing! The ceremony was flawless! Couldn't have asked for more for a great price!

When I got engaged, there were two vendors that were extremely important to me: My photographer, and my DJ. A DJ is what can make or break your reception and whether or not your guests have a good time. Booking Mike and his team was the BEST decision I had made throughout my entire wedding planning process.

He was attentive with my million e-mails I would send, and was accommodating to all of my requests. He is extremely knowledgeable of the latest and greatest, and had many recommendations and ideas for our day. He created a timeline of my wedding from start to finish. Not once did the reception go off of schedule and we received so many compliments of how smooth our reception flowed. Mike does not just play music and sit behind his set up. He is out there dancing with guests, encouraging people to come onto the dance floor, and even teaches a few moves. If you want your guests to have a good time and out on the dance floor to celebrate, then you don't want to miss out on booking Just Kidding Around Entertainment.

By far the best DJ in the business for a wedding....we keep having people ask us to have a "Do Over" and book this DJ because it was the best wedding ever!!!!!! I think that says it all!!

Amazing. Just amazing. Mike used to do my school dances as a kid and I remember how awesome they were...then we went to a friends wedding in 09 that he did and I knew when I day came for our wedding that is who I wanted. When I was planning my wedding for 2014, he was the first person I called as soon as I had the date and he was available, which put my mind automatically at ease of how much fun the guests in our wedding would have.
On our wedding day, he coordinated everything at the beach including helying to direct guests and then, helping to keep me hidden when my car pulled up to the beach. On top of that, my poor nephew was trim so hard to carry the ring down the Isle but his little legs (he was 4) could barley get through the sand. Without hesitation, Mike who was walking behind us down the Isle holding my gown, picked up my nephew and carried him to the alter. It was adorable.
The wedding was awesome, he makes the party so much fun and also makes sure the bride has everything she needs and the groom is calm. He organized us walking in and took care of the announcements for everything, then when it was time to start the actual party he got all the kids up and had them do the car wash dance and then had the adults join in. The reception was awesome and our guests had so much fun.
My fondest memory was at the end of the night, he asked my husband and I to stand up front and asked the guests to circle around us then proceeded to play Bon Jovi living on a prayer and we all were singing and dancing and rocking out together. Everyone I hear this song now I think of this perfect moment at out wedding which was the closer of the night.
He is worth then money because he is the real thing and will make sure your day is what you want in every way possible!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Mike Warren at Just Kidding Around was wonderful! We were told that the reception would be as good as the DJ and that is what our family and friends raved about. Mike was interactive and got everyone on their feet. We were very happy with all of his services. He ran the day of the wedding very well. He took care of things we didn't even think of or consider. Mike was more than a DJ and we highly recommend him for any wedding. He listened to everything we wanted and also gave some great suggestions. We were very happy with Mike. I would highly recommend Just Kidding Around to ANYONE! It was so stress free and easy. My husband and I weren't really sure what we were doing as far as music and what the actual wedding ceromony entailed and were pretty lost when it came to the details of these things, Mike Warren was AMAZING! He helped us decide on how the ceromony should proceed and what he usually does, we were free to add delete anything we wanted. For us, we really didn't know what we wanted so he did most of the ceromony wording for us, there were a few things we wanted to have incorporated and he did them all with no problem. Before the day of the wedding we got a printed out time line of how the entire day would go and times to keep us on track with our photos and etc. The ceromony was a breeze! The reception was a blast as well! We had a large wedding of 170 people and he literally had almost everyone up dancing. He had a list of games and ideas to get everyone of all ages in the crowd Involved. We received so many compliments from our family and friends on how much fun they had. I could not imagine changing a thing about our special day!

If we could choose just kidding around for our wedding or any other event we would do it one hundred times over again. Without them it probably would not have went as smooth as it did, they made the night! We received so many compliments after the wedding about how great the dj was.

Every guest at our wedding commented on how fun and entertaining he was. He did a bride/groom game with guests...so funny and so much fun!! He actually stayed out on the dance floor nearly the whole time engaging with guests and keeping the party going! I would HIGHLY recommend him for your event! We were so glad we chose him and are still talking about how much fun he made out wedding!

PHENOMENAL!! Mike was simply incredible from the very first day we met him. He knows what he is doing and was helpful in so many ways. He worked with us to coordinate the timeline, he helped coordinate the guys before the ceremony, and worked hard to keep the evening moving smoothly. Everyone at our reception simply LOVED him. He is always smiling, is funny and gets everyone up on the dance floor. He was out on the floor line dancing with us and coordinating fun group dances to get the guests involved. Not only that, but he really listened to what we wanted and worked very well with the other vendors. I can't say enough about how happy we were with him and his services. He is simply the best DJ I have ever seen and would strongly recommend him to anyone getting married!!

The facility has used Just Kidding Around for the last two events. JKA are great on every level. Everything from exchanging emails; to phone calls; for planning up to the event and the actual event; was professionally handled. I cannot say enough positive things about this organization. Mike is an absolute great person to work with! He has so much positive energy and kept the guests on their feet all night! We even had to start moving tables to make the dance floor bigger! My guests couldn't stop raving about the music and the DJ!
Mike is also like your wedding coordinator, he came to rehearsal and ran the show. He also did a great on my wedding day running the show! We had a huge bridal party and he did a good job keeping us in line. He was easy-going and always had a smile on his face.
I highly recommend just kidding around entertainment for your wedding DJ.

We had Kurt and his assistant Craig for our wedding and they were AWESOME! Kurt kept us on track throughout everything! They kept the party going, they definitely go above and beyond any other DJ I have came across at any other wedding or party I have been to!!! I would definitely recommend Just Kidding Around to everyone! If it was not for Kurt things would not have moved as smoothly as they did because he kept us on track. If you can't already tell we were extremely satisfied!!!

We could not have been more pleased with Mike Warren as our DJ/Emcee. From our first meeting, we were so impressed with him because it was apparent that he is a true professional. Not only did he take charge of the ceremony, but he made the party! Our guests all loved him. Mike and his assisant were the best DJ and Emcee I have ever seen! We provided music and Mike played to crowds mood! Mike assisted with ceremoy and provided a protable system for the beach ceremony! This is the best DJ in the area. Fun, exciting, and very aware of how to work a room to make sure everyone is up and dancing. Mike is very professional, never offensive, and very cognizant of the dance styles and desires of the crowd. As an MC, he is exceptional as well and will make sure your wedding runs smoothly.

Mike Warren is an amazing DJ/coordinator. He made sure our reception progressed perfectly from the moment our guest arrived until people were cleaning up the hall around us. He played when only one couple remained on the dancefloor at the end of the evening. Many people who never dance from our family were out on the dance floor. When I first contacted him I was a little concerned about his price being a little more then most DJs but he was worth every cent. Rather then just playing the music and what happens, happens, Mike was out there on the floor getting people involved, teaching the dances and participating himself. Couldn't have asked for a better person to entertain!!!

Mike Warren was our DJ at our wedding on June 12th. I would highly recommend him as he made our wedding a blast! People have been talking about it ever since as one of the best wedding's they have ever been to! You definitely want Mike as your DJ at your next event!!

Mike was very fun, incorporated all of the songs I wanted, and really got the party started. It was amazing to see some of the people who got up and danced all night! He was really helpful with set-up and tear down, and was very accommodating to make the night exactly what I hoped for!

We were lucky enough to get both Mike and Curt for our wedding. I cannot say enough about them! Everyone of my guests I have seen from my weding (1 week ago) have gushed about how awesome the DJ was! He got my guests out on the dance and took charge of getting them moving and shaking. He also was very professional and did an awesome job with timeline, music timingm, not to mention reception music. Talk to him in person, he has the knack of quickly sizing up ones needs and desires...and he follows through. Mike was officiant as well as DJ. He created a professional, caring, and intimate atmosphere and his basing the vows on personal thoughts of the bride and groom were touching and endearing for all. he drew out the crowd as needed and even involved the under 10 crowd in dancing and merriment. I hope my daughter uses him at her wedding in the future!

Great Deal! You get so much for what you pay for!

We haven't yet had our wedding but this DJ is a wonderful deal! We initially were going to go with a DJ we saw at another wedding we went to but discovered they were way out of our budget. I searched around through a few different DJs and this was one of the only ones that was in our budget. Kurt was willing to meet up with us at our venue, which was a much further drive for him than it was for us, and made us feel incredibly comfortable and confident in his work. He's very laid back, which kind of put me off at first, but after discussing their strategy for events and how high-in-demand their services were we felt much better about the interaction. They were also willing to do so much more as part of their package including showing up to our rehearsal to help coordinate and even include an old arch they had for free. I am very happy with them so far!

Amazing! Highly recommend!

I chose this DJ because they are not just a simple DJ, Kurt Warren interacts with your guests and gets everyone involved so that there are no awkward moments of silence or people just sitting around. They tailors to your taste so, if you want a “clean” wedding/event and someone requests a dirty song, they tell them “Hey the bride wishes to have a clean wedding”, and that’s exactly what they did. They made our day so special and I can thank them enough!

Wish we had used someone else

We scheduled to meet with Kurt for the first time (7 months before the wedding) and after arriving to the meeting place I messaged him and he had the date mixed up, planning to meet with us the next week. He was extremely apologetic, however we had to travel an hour again, to meet with him the next week. We heard great things about JKA and everyone makes mistakes, so we continued to use them. We signed our contract and paid the retainer fee, and he emailed us a copy along with paperwork regarding wedding plans/information. I did not hear from him again until I emailed the information back 3 days before the wedding. 2 days before the wedding he texted me that he would attend our rehearsal if we needed the officiating services, but if not it wouldn’t be necessary. We assumed maybe an emergency came up, and he did not attend. On the wedding day, he came into the bridal suite with a handwritten copy of the information I sent him electronically. Only half of the bridal parties names were on there to be announced. Everything was corrected moments before walking down the aisle. Nobody asked for the audience to rise upon walking down the aisle, and he did not play the song requested (or any song for that matter) during the unity tying of our ceremony. We planned for our reception to end at 10:00pm and around 8:00pm we requested another hour from all of our vendors. We were then informed that JKA planned to leave at 9:00pm. Every other vendor knew and planned to be there until 10:00. JKA did end up staying, but charged us $250/hr. I did not request anything back or argue about the price, however I do not recommend them to anyone and will not be using them for any event in the future.
