Bill was awesome. I gave him artistic authority on a few things and they went great. My guests were on the dancefloor all night and when he played a song that wasn't doing it for the crowd I just had to look over at him and he would put something on that was sure to get them on the floor. We got his uplighting and it made the room look awesome as well.Bill was awesome. I gave him artistic authority on a few things and they went great. Bill Holderby did a fabulous job! He listened to the needs of the bride and groom and really went above and beyond to meet their requests. He provided and mixed music for special requests with no problems. He was able to "read" the guest and played music that kept everyone moving on the dance floor until the very end. We even asked him to stay a little longer and he did with a smile!

Overall I really liked our DJ, Bill. When we first met him, he put us at ease because it was very evident that he had a lot of experience. He had all of our songs down perfect, faded them out at the right time and kept things moving along just as we asked. My only complaint is that he played 2 songs from my "do not play" list, but to be fair, it was a pretty long list, and only one of the songs really annoyed me. I'd recommend him.Overall I really liked our DJ, Bill. When we first met him, he put us at ease because it was very evident that he had a lot of experience. I chose this vendor for $700 of course that it on the cheap side for a DJ but during our initial meeting my husband and I listened to a man that made it seem as if he had everything under control. The only good part about this was that he had a schedule for us to pick out the songs for the ceremony which went smoothly, but at the reception which is the majority of the wedding the music was not what we wanted. Also the DJ that came to the meeting and "enamored" us with his confidence only came to collect the money and left us with another DJ that did not have music that we liked for the reception even though we previously gave him a list of songs that we liked which he could have added to, or knew what style of music we were interested in. IF you are going to save money, please do not use this services!I chose this vendor for $700 of course that it on the cheap side for a DJ but during our initial meeting my husband and I listened to a man that made it seem as if he had everything under control. Bill: Absolutely disliked him. I have to say, most if not all guests, have told me they loved my music. That I had a variety, and a packed dance floor, but truly, that has to do with the fact that I had to insist (through my husband and maid of honor) that he played music on the list that was given to him. First of all, I had a feeling, he didn’t know what I was talking about when I said authentic Spanish music. I did not dance to meringue, salsa, bachata, punta; nothing that I had specifically asked him I wanted to hear. The tossing bouquet song was requested in Spanish and he played it in the English version (Loca by Shakira). I gave him a full list of songs that had to be played and after repeatedly going up to him and asking him to change the music, he started playing them. Our last song was cut short which ended the reception about 10 minutes early. He announced last call 20 minutes early, in which my husband had to go over to him yet again and tell him to correct his mistake. Our songs for the money dance, were these pathetic songs we didn’t ask for nor had spoken to him about. We had asked for a mix of English and Spanish music. He said he knew the Latin music, but truly didn’t. My husband and I were so disappointed with the outcome. We think this DJ would be great for someone who has no input or who doesn’t have any cultural diversity. Anyone who has an input or culture, should go with someone else.Bill: Absolutely disliked him. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, under any circumstance. We chose Just 4 Fun to DJ our wedding. A week before the wedding, the owner Bill told us he would be late to our wedding and would have another DJ, Keith, run the show until Bill could arrive. We met with Bill and Keith together and extensively went over our music requests for the various events in the wedding day.
On the wedding day, Bill never showed up and never answered his phone. Instead, Keith, who may not have ever DJ'ed an event before in his life, was left to make a pathetic mess out of our ceremony and reception. I would spend an hour, and I would get very worked up, if I detailed all of the ways in which Just 4 Fun messed up our event. He played the wrong songs at the wrong time (our first dance song during cocktail hour, our cake-cutting song during open dancing), the entire evening. He did not seem to know anything about DJing, from talking into the microphone, to creating a fun dance atmosphere- After the first song of open dancing, he played two slow songs in a row. Are you kidding? Makes no sense if you want to get people on the floor, having a good time. Finally, he completely messed up our anniversary dance and did not know what our last dance song was, nor did he have it- so, instead of dancing with me during the final moments of the reception, my new husband was helping the DJ find the song on his phone, using Youtube. Pathetic.
When we contacted Bill about the mess-up, he had a ridiculous excuse and argued with us. We presented him with a 4-page long document that listed all the ways in which his DJ messed up, and he very quickly gave us a full refund. I appreciate the refund, but let me say this: the DJ is the backbone of an event, and I would pay every cent I own to re-do the day and to have another DJ. I did some research, and found that this exact situation has happened before. I am so upset that I chose the less-expensive DJ- it is absolutely not worth it. Do not hire this company, no matter how suave Bill may seem on the phone or in a meeting. I can't emphasize enough how upsetting it was to have my event ruined by a vendor. The DJ is too important to take this risk; I feel so strongly that this man does not need to ruin anyone else's day.DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, under any circumstance.
