Julie is a FANTASTIC wedding photographer! She truly captures the emotions, energy, and spirit from the moments of the day in each image to preserve these forever! The images are timeless and classic without the use of any filters that are just currently a fad or in style, so that the photographs are relevant and beautiful for the years to come and for future family members. Best of all, she is a BLAST to work with - making the day feel natural so that you can enjoy it and not feel overly directed or posed. She works extremely well with all other vendors, especially videography which is key to a streamlined and seamless day as well. And she TRAVELS! So even if you're not in the San Diego area, check her out, for any event - wedding, engagement, proposal, you name it!Julie is a FANTASTIC wedding photographer! Great Photographer!
Julie is the best!!! I am a wedding planner and working with dependable & super talented vendors is VITAL. Julie is that and so so so much more. Come wedding day she is always a tad early so that she can scope out all the pretty photo spots for the day. She sticks to the timeline and understands when things need to be shifted (yes, sometimes this does happen on event days) AND ALWAYS A TEAM PLAYER!!!
Julie's work is timeless!!! You will be so happy hiring her as your photographer-- whether that be for a wedding, party, maternity session or family session... I PROMISE!Julie is the best!!! Look no further for your wedding photographer because Julie Ferneau is the best! She's friendly, warm, and beyond talented. She was such a great support in the year leading up to my wedding, we had lots of calls and met in person for engagement pics, so by the time our wedding came I felt totally comfortable around her. So many of my friends and family commented about how great she was with handling lots of family portraits, a huge bridal party, and a tight schedule. She's a wonderful person and I will miss working with her!Look no further for your wedding photographer because Julie Ferneau is the best! She's friendly, warm, and beyond talented. Having Julie photograph our engagement and wedding was one of the best decisions we made! She was great to work with throughout the entire process and was very responsive.
I was probably one of the most sensitive brides when it came to really caring about the photos of our wedding – not just the quality (which you can get a good feel about from the photographer’s portfolio) but also about trusting that the photographer would be able to capture the special moments that carry the event on in picture form forever.
I was also working with a groom that hates being in photos…
You might think this made it hard to choose a photographer but one meeting with Julie and all of my concerns fell away. She’s not only talented; she paid close to what was important to us – that mattered a lot to me. Beyond all of that – she made my groom feel good about the process – even got him to enjoy some of it.
During the engagement session – she coached us through numerous creative ideas for poses and a variety of backgrounds. She helped us relax and be playful – those are the pictures I cherish.
During the wedding, I don’t think I ever saw her stop moving. She worked tirelessly to capture so many beautiful moments.
Thanks to Julie, we now have a collection of photographs that not only make me smile, they help me remember how amazing that day felt. I could not be any happier with her!

It was an amazing experience to work with Julie, she is incredibly talented, artistic and dedicated to getting great shots. She creates a great experience by being professional, calm, patient, easy to work with, extremely attentive but best of all it was fun. She listens carefully to new ideas and is open to new possibilities. My husband and I own a wedding venue in Big Bear Lake CA (Edgewood Mansion) and utilize Julie Ferneau Photography as one of our few pre-approved photography vendors. Besides their obvious and incredible talent as photographers, they really are able to listen to my clients needs/ concerns and accommodate accordingly. We don't give our clients very many options for photographers to choose from (which at first is troubling to most wedding couples), but literally every client I've sent their way has thanked me afterward for the referral. If you are looking for a talented, reliable, professional, and personable photographer... She will really get to know you as a person, and put you at ease during the shoot. The result, stunning and flawless photos that look natural instead of staged.
