  Fabulous Photographer

  Look no further for the best photographer out there. Julia is an absolute rockstar, and working with her (and her team) was such a joy throughout our wedding. The photos look absolutely incredible, and we felt so comfortable working with her throughout the event. I wish I could say thank you everyday for the incredible love we felt from her and the incredible photos she captured that we will forever cherish!

  Working with Julia has been a dream! We booked her a number of months in advance to do our city hall wedding as well as our bigger (although still intimate) family and friends ceremony and celebration a few days later. Being camera shy and introverted, both my husband and I were a bit nervous about being in front of the camera so much. Thankfully, Julia made the process fun and for the more candid photos, I swear (in the best way possible) we hardly noticed her. And we were so grateful that Julia was flexible with our city hall date booking as well as the way we broke up our picture package.

  Working with Julia has been a dream!   Julia has an incredible gift for visual storytelling

  When I was first looking to hire our photographer, I was immediately drawn to Julia’s style – her focus on natural lighting and capturing all the small, yet important moments of the day. Julia was an absolute pleasure to work with from our first interaction – she was always quick to reply on e-mail, setting up a coffee date prior to booking to be sure that our styles, visions and personalities matched. Julia was very involved with putting together the timeline of the day...I actually used the timeline she put together and shared with other vendors. From our first meeting to delivering our photos, it was so obvious she cared deeply about her work and was genuinely interested in telling the story of our wedding day. Julia captured the feelings of our day and the personalities of our families so organically. We LOVE our photos and are so grateful for Julia’s work.
  
  It's also worth mentioning that my husband and I were also quite nervous about the concept of being photographed and posing for photos....so we did an engagement shoot with Julia in order to help get comfortable with being photographed and also to help build a level of trust and comfort. Within the first few minutes of working with Julia you're immediately put at ease. She provides just enough guidance to make sure your photographs turn out beautifully...but most of the time I almost forgot she was there!
  
  Her ability to capture the most beautiful and natural moments is why we never thought twice about hiring her for our wedding. I really can't imagine having a better experience or a better person to be such a big part of our day. Can't wait to have another reason to work with her again!

  Julia is a true dream. She was one of our absolute favorite vendors to work with but more so she really just felt like a great friend throughout the entire planning process and the day of the wedding. She is incredibly sweet and one of the most talented photographers we've come across. She is totally responsive and helpful in the planning process, ready and willing to hop on the phone or meet for drinks to talk everything out in person several times. And during the wedding, she had the most amazing eye to detail, capturing all the small moments that will mean the most to us years to come. She gets your formal portraits and family shots down without a hitch, making you calm but keeping the energy level up and exciting all at the same time. But we wanted a majority of candid shots for our photos so the true story was conveyed, and that's just what she did, with the most beautiful emotion, lighting and framing. And her second shooter Claire is just as talented and a goddess as well. We cannot recommend Julia Elizabeth Photograph enough.

  I could go on and on about how grateful I am to have discovered Julia. I was very particular about what I was looking for and searched for months for a photographer. Her work speaks for itself. She actually enhances and improves on the beauty of the surroundings and the people she’s capturing. But more than her talent, I knew once we had our first phone call that she was exactly what I had been looking for. Julia is organized, thorough, calm, sweet, and really made us feel at ease. She was accommodating and worked seamlessly with us to coordinate our engagement shoot. We were a little nervous about being in front of the camera, but Julia made us feel so comfortable, it was like spending the day with a friend. She made us look completely natural, like ourselves, but even better. We were SO thrilled when we got the engagement photos back, we couldn't wait to work with her at our wedding. Julia proactively got in touch with us to put together a plan for our wedding day. I was so thankful for her communication in the months and days leading up to the wedding. On our wedding day, Julia was completely prepared. She worked incredibly well with everyone she came in contact with. She was a fly on the wall, but was very present with us, helping to provide subtle direction, especially when we were taking portraits. On our wedding day she was just as amazing, capturing EVERYTHING, making each shot more beautiful than we could have imagined. She was great at working with our large bridal party and organizing everyone for the formal shots, while also taking AMAZING candids throughout the day. What really drew us to Julia is not only how artfully she captures the scenery, venue, and details, but she's the absolute best at getting all of the personal moments and emotions of the day. Every time we look at our wedding photos, her images transport us right back to our wedding day. We are so so grateful to have had the pleasure of working with Julia, and would recommend her to anyone!

  Julia and I found each other over Instagram and once I saw her pictures I knew I wanted her to be our photographer! Although Julia is located in Brooklyn, she had no issues coming to Cape Cod, MA for our engagement photos and wedding day. She has an amazing eye and managed to capture all the little moments from of our wedding day. We felt so comfortable around her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

  Hiring Julia was the best decision I made regarding my wedding. She was incredible to work with. Her work is absolutely incredible, and every picture came out beautifully. She understood my vision immediately and put me at ease all weekend. She has such a bright wonderful personality that it makes working with her fun. The first piece of advice I've given all of my newly engaged friends is to book Julia immediately. It's one less thing you have to worry about in planning your wedding, because it is guaranteed that she will knock it out of the park. I can not recommend her highly enough.

  Julia shot our engagement shoot and she was absolutely fantastic. I was so nervous but she made my husband and I feel so comfortable! We wanted to shoot in Brooklyn Heights and Julia picked out several beautiful locations. She knew exactly when to shoot to get the best lighting. The turn around time was very fast and we were able to see all the pictures in a gallery she made for us! We ended up using several of the photos for our Save the Dates and making a collage because we couldn't pick which one was our favorite. We are in love with the photos and truly couldn't say enough nice things! Julia is very easy to work with, down to earth, and super talented. Strongly recommend!

We walked away from meeting Julia and both agreed that she was the perfect person for the job. Julia was easy to connect with and her sweet, laid-back personality was everything I was looking for. She helped me through my entire wedding process, she was my go-to, not just with photography, but anything I needed! Seven months later, I still go through my photos from both my engagement shoot and wedding almost every other day. She captured every moment I could have every wished for her to do.   We are so thankful that we came across Julia's blog and chose her to capture our wedding day. We planned our wedding from halfway across the country and Julia was very easy to work with. She was very organized and made sure that everything followed the carefully planned timeline on the day of. Both her and her second shooter, Jen, were so pleasant to work with. Most importantly, she took the most beautiful, artistic pictures. Her photography style is so unique and was exactly what we imagined. We got married at a mountain house, surrounded by beautiful tall trees and the Catskill mountains. Her pictures truly captured the beauty of the environment, that we now get to re-live.   Julia was great--I can't recommend her enough! And we couldn't be happier with our photos--they captured our wedding in such a wonderful light and with a sweet and imaginative perspective. Julia and her second shooter worked so well together. They arrived on time and ready to shoot and they stuck to the schedule so that we were able to capture all the moments we wanted while still being able to spend time with friends and family. Early in the process, Julia lent her expertise and set out a great schedule that set out the entire day for us--we didn't have to worry about anything! Not to mention her wonderful presence--I think she captured the reception so well because she seemed to just blend in with the crowd. She stealthily captured so many fun images of the dinner and dancing. So many guests mentioned how delightful she was to have around. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a photographer with a clear vision, who is 100% dependable and wonderful to be around!

  My wife and I used Julia for our wedding photos in September 2014 and we can not recommend her enough!! After seeing how gorgeous our engagement photos came out, we were so excited to see what she did with our wedding and I can tell you, we were blown away once again. Julia's unique and signature style came through the photos while also somehow capturing the essence of our relationship - something that is exceedingly rare among professional photographers (I'm honestly not sure how she does it so well!). Our friends and family can not stop talking about the photos, how natural they look, how she captured our relationship so perfectly and how they weren't the typical, forced wedding pictures, but really a perfect representation of our special day. I've had family say that they wished that their photographer was "as good as yours" and several others.

  My wife and I used Julia for our wedding photos in September 2014 and we can not recommend her enough!! After seeing how gorgeous our engagement photos came out, we were so excited to see what she did with our wedding and I can tell you, we were blown away once again. Julia's unique and signature style came through the photos while also somehow capturing the essence of our relationship - something that is exceedingly rare among professional photographers (I'm honestly not sure how she does it so well!). Our friends and family can not stop talking about the photos, how natural they look, how she captured our relationship so perfectly and how they weren't the typical, forced wedding pictures, but really a perfect representation of our special day. I've had family say that they wished that their photographer was "as good as yours" and several others.

  We used Julia Bushe Photography for our engagement shoot last October. Julia was very flexible with scheduling and the location choice. She came prepared with various props/materials and creative ideas for poses that were fun and fit our personalities perfectly. Her professionalism was phenomenal and the turnaround from the time of the shoot to us receiving our photographs was great. The photographs came out better than we could have hoped and we will enjoy sharing them with others for years to come. She is good at keeping the schedule of the day and will make sure things move along smoothly but at the same time has the tact and grace and knows when to take a step back so you can enjoy a moment. Julia was great to work from even from early on in the process before we even booked her, she responds quickly, reliable, and offers great advice about the timing and schedule of the day based on her experience. She cares about things that a typical wedding photographer probably would otherwise ignore, but she chimes in simply because she wants you to have an incredible day. She's just a good person that is easy to be around. I've already thought that I'd want her to photograph our future family one day. Julia was one of our very favorite wedding vendors that we worked with and we'd highly recommend her! Our photos came back and while we of course loved them many people who saw the photos remarked "wow - you had a great photographer"!
