A Perfect Ceremony

Judge Armstrong is the ultimate wedding officiant!
We are so happy that we went with Judge Tom to officiate our wedding! Not only is Judge Tom a well respected and well known figure in the community - he has extensive experience officiating weddings. I knew as soon as we talked with Judge Tom that there were multiple things that I wouldn’t have to worry about if we were able to book his services. I knew we wouldn’t have to worry about his punctuality or presence, we wouldn’t have to worry about him speaking too loudly or quietly, we wouldn’t have to worry about our marriage license being signed or submitted incorrectly, and we wouldn’t have to worry about him forgetting pieces of the ceremony, improvising, or going off script. Judge Tom is a true professional and he has got the officiating gig down like no one else. He also has a fantastic speaking voice and is very charismatic. I have seen so many people stumble over vows that are longer but Judge Tom does an awesome job of speaking the vows to each of us clearly, directly, and concisely so we had no issue tripping over words. Judge Tom also has a very helpful library of content for the ceremony so we had a lot of options to choose from and could make the ceremony extra personalized and exactly how we wanted it. The main thing is just try to book Judge Tom ahead of time - we got lucky enough to book one of his last available weekends in September and booked 9 months ahead of time. Thank you Judge Tom!!

Very easy to work with, knows the biz!
Tom was very easy to work with. He was very responsive to emails and he knows a lot about the wedding industry. Someone at my wedding was a retired lawyer and he said "Wow! How did you get Tom to do your wedding?! That's so cool!" Tom also has a lot of resources about getting your marriage license and changing your name which I know a lot of people struggle with.

Fantastic Officiant!

Amazing to work if you're out-of-state looking for a Minnesota wedding

It was very no-pressure and his extensive library of ceremony content made it easy for my wife and I to incorporate certain passages that reflected our own personal challenges in life leading up to our wedding together. Tom is fantastic! He is friendly and easy to work with. His ceremony library is extensive, but his dedication to helping you plan your ceremony doesn't end there. When our plans were up in the air with covid, he offered us backup venue suggestions and tips on tweaking our ceremony. 2020 may have been a crazy year, but Tom's patience and care for us never faltered. One of the things that helped us choose Tom was his reasoning for wearing a red tie to every wedding he officiates: he wore a red tie to a ceremony for a Chinese couple. In their culture, red means good luck. Since then, Tom has always worn red ties. It was a nice reminder during our ceremony of how lucky we felt to be able to work with him. Flexible, Patient, Kind and Prompt
After searching the list of preferred vendors from our venue, I came across Tom's website. I was impressed by his ceremony selections and got in contact with him. He was always prompt with his replies, which was comforting during such a stressful time. His rates were perfect so we were more than happy there! He was very flexible and patient. During COVID planning was a nightmare, but he worked with us as we moved our location to our backyard. He emailed the night before the wedding to touch-base and let me know when he would be arriving. On the day of the wedding, he was prompt. He walked us through how the pieces of the ceremony would go so my self, my husband and our matron of honor and best man were on the same page during the giving of the rings. He did great during the ceremony as he spoke loudly and at the perfect pace. Even a few guests commented on how wonderful he was. I can't say enough good things about him. He was great to work with and we are so glad we chose him. We'd highly recommend Tom to anyone!

We Could Not Have Asked for a Better Officiant
After researching a few different officiants in the Stillwater, MN area, we knew immediately after reading through the information on Tom's website that he would be the perfect choice for us. His witty, humorous, yet professional personality shines, making you feel at ease as you read through what would typically be a whirlwind of information. His website is organized so clearly and takes the stress out of trying to figure out where to even start planning.
I contacted Tom in the spring of 2020 for our August wedding. As you can imagine, planning a wedding during a pandemic was stressful as nothing was certain. I felt like I was changing the plans every time we communicated and he showed nothing but the utmost flexibility. It was comforting to know that he was accomodating and adaptable. He always responded within a very short time, too. That is reassuring for a bride-to-be!
When our venue canceled on us, Tom suggested a beautiful park that was still in the same area that we wanted to be. Due to the circumstances brought on by the pandemic, I was changing details right up until the day of the ceremony. We will always appreciate how gracious and kind he was during the planning.
On the day of the wedding, he arrived on time, looked sharp (despite the oppressive 70+ dew point!), and was extremely accomodating to us, as we were still taking some photos. He visited with our guests before the ceremony and shared a few funny stories as our nervous, young adult children signed the important paperwork. He was very personable and our guests (and us!) loved his wedding delivery.
Tom sent us a copy of our marriage license and we received it just 3 days after our wedding and received the certified copy within 1 week. Details and follow-through are his things!
I cannot say enough wonderful words about Tom; I highly recommend using him to officiate your wedding. He takes the stress out of trying to figure out how to even begin planning the ceremony. Thank you, Tom, for creating a stress-free day for us!

Based on so many positive reviews I reached out to Tom to see if he was available to officiate our wedding. Lucky for us he was available on our date! Tom made everything so easy and was always available if we had questions. We were married at Como and he had more knowledge of the space than the staff who work there. He has detailed information on his site which was quite helpful for planning and if I couldn't find what I needed, he was quick to respond via email. Awesome Officiant
My husband and I hired Tom as our officiant for our August 2018 wedding. Tom was a fantastic officiant. He has a broad library of a material in case you need it (we chose to both write our own vows and incorporate some of his material), and he was punctual with his responses and with showing up on the wedding day itself. He was also always on top of things, sending us gentle reminders when we had forgotten something. Most importantly, his delivery was heartfelt, jovial, funny, and genuine. Absolutely fantastic!
Tom was so easy to work with from beginning to end! I first contacted him during the busy holiday season a couple of days before Christmas, and I still had extremely prompt responses, which was my first clue that I had found somebody special. Even though Tom has a busy schedule with all of his weddings, he kept track of mine and prompted me with questions to keep me on track and on schedule. He was always so helpful and courteous. On the day of our wedding, he arrived over 30 minutes early so as to not stress us out. All of the guests at my small wedding mentioned that he took time to chat with them, and they were all so impressed by his positive attitude and overt friendliness. When the best man was 15 minutes late to the ceremony, Tom remained calm and helped us talk about how to proceed. The ceremony itself was lovely! I absolutely cherished the ability to write every word of our own ceremony so that is completely reflected our values and what we wanted to say. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. I would recommend him to every couple. Absolutely fantastic!

We thought Tom did a wonderful job in officiating our wedding! He was so organized, calming, and personable. His website was so thorough and provided us with a lot of ideas and guidance in planning the ceremony, and in our talks with him beforehand, he also provided lots of guidance. Great Service. Great Ceremony
Tom was great to work with. He made the ceremony a breeze to plan as he provides an abundance of resources on his website and you can pick and choose (and even customize) every aspect of your ceremony. He was available throughout the process to answer questions and help us plan. Tom arrived at the ceremony site on time, made the signing simple, and conducted himself as a professional during the ceremony. We were very happy that he respected our wishes to keep our ceremony non-denominational.
We would recommend his services to anyone planning their wedding and needing an officiant.

Tom is the best! My husband and I were married at Como Park Conservatory's Sunken Garden, where Tom has performed hundreds of weddings. He was so knowledgable that it was like having our own wedding planner. Tom brought a humor, charm and grace to the ceremony planning process that was absolutely invaluable. We enjoyed his many anecdotes throughout the decision-making process and found his website very helpful in providing ideas. We were able to write our entire ceremony, which Tom delivered beautifully. He was punctual, helped usher out-of-town guests, and was so genuine it was like having a friend officiate. Can't recommend his services enough!

Made our day!
Tom officiated our wedding at the end of October in the Sunken Garden of the Como Conservatory. He shared many ideas and helpful pieces of information as we prepared for our day (including sample ceremony options to use or to customize to our liking, best ways to go about name changes, getting our marriage license, etc.), which was extremely useful, convenient, and appreciated. On our wedding day Tom was very fun, relaxed, and personable. Everyone loved his demeanor and how his officiating was the perfect balance of class with humor. We are very happy to have chosen him to be our wedding officiant and highly recommend him to others.

Tom will give you a unique ceremony that you love.
Tom was amazing from beginning to end. He was extremely accommodating and thorough in helping develop our ceremony outline. We ended up with exactly the ceremony that we wanted, and he was patient with us while we worked it all out. All of his experience shows- it led him to making a few suggestions regarding what would work best and what might not at our ceremony venue (Irvine Park) as he had been there often, and for that I was especially grateful. I was a bit nervous as we hadn't met until the day of, but Tom arrived early to the ceremony space and organized the musicians, the microphones, spoke to our readers, etc. When I arrived for the ceremony, everything looked perfect, and everyone knew where to go, and for that I am so grateful to Tom. Many guests commented on how friendly he was and how smoothly the ceremony went. Tom was one of my favorite vendors of our wedding, and I would recommend Tom to anyone.

Tom was a fantastic officiant. He had a broad library of a material in case you need it (we chose to both write our own vows and incorporate some of his material), and he was punctual with his responses and with showing up on the wedding day itself. He was also always on top of things, sending us gentle reminders when we had forgotten something. Most importantly, his delivery was heartfelt, jovial, funny, and genuine. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Judge Armstrong to any other couple.

Tom was great! He was extremely helpful in writing our own ceremony, providing fantastic advice and catching all the little details. We had an early morning wedding at the Como Conservatory, and he knew the space (having done over 200 weddings there); he gave great advice on how people should exit and knew that the fountain could be turned off. My husband and I loved working with Tom! He is very friendly, organized and punctual. Having literally performed thousands of ceremonies, there wasn't a question we had that he didn't follow with a lot of advice and examples. His ceremony library is extensive and incredibly helpful in creating your customized ceremony. Tom responds to emails and calls very promptly. He arrived at the ceremony with enough time to review everything with us one last time and he connected again with all the participants to ensure everything would flow smoothly (and it sure did). Overall, he's very professional, organized and super fun to work with. He has a fantastic sense of humor that puts people at ease. With him I was always confident that the ceremony would be exactly what I wanted it to be. Very highly recommend!!

We loved working with Tom! He is professional, punctual, incredibly knowledgeable, and a lot of fun. He gave us tons of tips and guidelines for planning our ceremony and let us pull everything together exactly how we wanted it. The day of the wedding, he showed up on time, prepared, and ran the ceremony perfectly. You can tell that his experience officiating weddings has allowed him to hone his craft- he knows details like stepping to the side during the kiss so that he doesn't ruin the photographer's shot. We never would have thought of little tricks like that and he knew them all. He was so much fun to work with that we were completely at ease throughout the entire process knowing that the ceremony would go smoothly and that all the legal stuff (paperwork) would be in order. He has a good sense of humour that shines during the planning process, but was on task and stayed to the script for the ceremony. We can't recommend him enough!

Tom came highly recommended by our wedding venue and our photographer so he was an easy choice for us. Prior to the wedding, he was very responsive to all our questions and worked with us on our ceremony draft until we had what we wanted. His website is fantastic and guides you through planning your ceremony with many different ideas.
I wondered if it would be weird to not meet the person who was marrying us until the day of the ceremony but that was not the case with Tom. He was there early to meet with us, answer all our questions, and we were ready to go - he is incredibly personable and has a great speaking voice. I'd definitely recommend him to other couples!

Tom officiated our wedding at Summit Manor in July, and he did great! We highly recommend him. First of all, his website is AMAZING. At first, we were a little worried about the ceremony for the simple fact that we had a very clear vision of how we wanted it to be, but at the same time, had never planned a ceremony before and had no idea where to start. Tom made it easy with awesome advice on his website. In addition, he is very available to answer questions and really wants your wedding to be unique to you and exactly how you want it. He has tons of experience, and it shows! He knows what works and what doesn’t and how to make everything run smoothly. He anticipated our questions before we even asked!
In addition to all of this, on the day of our wedding (the first time we met in person), we were very impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and friendly demeanor. He is flexible and gave the impression that he could handle anything we threw at him. Many of our guests commented on how great of a job he did as well. He seems to really enjoy his job! We contacted Tom to officiate our wedding - however, unfortunately he was not available. Rather than sending us on our way, he took it upon himself to connect us with a judge he recommended, called that judge and got us on his calendar and connected us with him. Judge Tom Armstrong was the perfect officiant for our wedding day! His library of ceremony resources, availability, and willingness to help us write our ceremony made it so easy. On the day-of, he was very calm and relaxed, which kept all of us calm. Tom has a great speaking voice and is easily able to project an outdoor ceremony with or without a mic. His natural friendliness and genuineness made our ceremony feel very personal! Tom was the perfect choice for our wedding! He previously officiated at my brother's wedding, and did an excellent job!
Mr. Armstrong has a great personality. He was extremely respectful and also extremely flexible when planning our wedding. We changed our plans a few times as the date approached closer, including a change of venue and the time of the ceremony, but Tom was very helpful regarding communication and suggestions.
His experience is evident - I believe I recall him mentioning that he has officiated over 4,000 ceremonies!
Tom will keep you up-to-date through phone and email. His website is full of tips and suggestions for ceremonies, venues, etc.

Tom was great. He was so professional, friendly, and super helpful. While we had exchanged emails for a few months (Tom was very quick to respond to any questions), my husband and I only met him about an hour before the ceremony. For anyone worried about a stranger marrying them, don't worry with Tom! He is so friendly, it felt like we had known him for a long time. He is also keen to help with questions about ceremony design (his website is great!) and even obtaining a marriage license. I definitely would recommend him and have no regrets in my own choice.

Tom was so easy to work with! His website allows you to design your own ceremony. He was easy to communicate by, we would email each other back and forth to design our ceremony. He was prompt, and went through the ceremony with us reall quick, to see if we needed to make any changes. He was talking to our guest before our wedding, which was nice. I would recommend Tom to anyone who was getting married.

Tom gave us the option of using sample ceremonies or designing our own. We really appreciated having the opportunity to have every part of the ceremony reflect our personalities. Tom was awesome to work with! I was so impressed with his experience and organization. I was able to cater my ceremony to exactly what I was looking for. Tom was so well rehearsed and even when the microphone wouldn't work during the ceremony was able to improvise on the spot. We have also attended other weddings he has officiated and each one has been exceptional as well. Highest of recommendations!

Tom was a dream to work with! He was FUN, and professional. He was very open to making our ceremony "ours"; including doing some ceremony rituals that he had not done prior. Guests and family thought that we were long time friends with him since he was so approachable and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better officiant!

Tom was the perfect officiant for our wedding. He was awesome! Tom was extremely helpful with questions and feedback, and responded unbelievably quickly to emails when we were putting together the ceremony. Tom made the entire process very easy and completely stress free.
Tom is a complete professional and his sense of humor, relaxed demeanor, and delivery style made made the ceremony flow smoothly and flawlessly. Many guests commented on how they really enjoyed our ceremony and how they liked Tom. It is clear that Tom really enjoys his work and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an officiant that will make the day stress free, fun, and fantastic.

Tom did a wonderful job with our wedding. One of the cool things about Tom is that he lets you write your own ceremony any way that you want so you can make it personal. He did an excellent job reading our ceremony and it was obvious that he had read through it several times before. It sounded very natural and he has a great reading voice. He is a friendly, funny, and personable guy which makes him fun to work with as well. We would highly recommend him!

Judge Tom was recommended to us through the government center in Stillwater as a “really fun officiant” and he did not disappoint! After emailing him with an initial inquiry, his responses were almost immediate and filled with helpful details. His website is fantastic, and his library of sample ceremony scripts allowed us to find a personal choice that we felt fit us perfectly. It was the perfect combination of feeling like we had a choice in the ceremony but knowing that Tom also had it under control. He was wonderfully flexible with the timing and location of the ceremony. During the ceremony, he was simultaneously professional and genial, with a good dose of humor sprinkled throughout. We highly recommend Tom as a wedding officiant, you will not be disappointed!

I am so glad we picked Tom to do our ceremony. I loved working with him because he made it so easy for us. There is a library that you can choose from as far as readings, verses etc. It didn't take long for my husband and I to put it together and it was just the way we wanted it to be. He was very easy to get a hold of and always answered questions that I had within a day or two. My Parents and Grandparents both commented on how great Tom was as well. Thank you Tom for everything. I will recommend you in the future :-)

Tom was extremely helpful in getting our wedding planned and had wonderful suggestions for writing our vows. He helped helped coordinate the service to include our children in the ceremony.
