They're the best!

We cannot recommend Juancho & Johana enough! They were absolutely amazing from start to finish, the perfect duo. They went above and beyond to make sure every moment was captured and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. They also shot our engagement photos & helped us come up with an idea of where to take them. We haven't received all our wedding photos yet, but the sneak peek photos already took our breath away, and we just know the rest will be amazing. Their talent, professionalism, and warmth made our wedding day unforgettable. They are truly the kindest people who genuinely love what they do. The best of the best

We were absolutely blown away by Juancho and Johana! We were recommended to them by my sister, who used Juancho and Johana for her wedding as well. After seeing how stunning her wedding photos turned out, it was an easy and clear decision for us to choose them too! From our engagement shoot to the wedding day, they made the entire experience so fun and full of love—even in the freezing Chicago cold! They were so easy to work with, and we received our engagement photos incredibly quickly, which was such a nice surprise. On our wedding day, they brought such positive energy, making the day even more enjoyable. When we saw the preview photos the very next day, we were in awe—they are absolutely unreal! They provided our wedding photos in a very timely manner and we are absolutely blown away and could not be more happy with the results.. Amazing Experience! Thank you!

Working with Juancho SC Photography was an absolute dream! After interviewing several photographers, we chose to work with Junacho and Johana because their artistic vision and the deep emotion conveyed in their photos really stood out to us. From the very first conversation, their communication was top-notch, and they made us feel confident and at ease every step of the way.

Leading up to the event, they were incredibly organized and responsive, always making sure we had everything in place. On the day of, Johana was fantastic at helping us organize our timeline and logistics, making sure we had plenty of time to capture all the special moments we wanted without feeling rushed.

Wedding Photos with Juancho SC

I cannot say enough about how amazing it was to work with Juan and Johana! We met with several photographers early in the process, but their energy was so good, I could feel it through the Zoom. I knew we wanted that energy around us and our guests on our wedding day.

Juan and Johana also make an incredible use of light and color, which separated them from other photographers that we looked at. We did an end of the night champagne pop photoshoot and it came out amazing! They have a great way of capturing raw moments and cultivating breathtaking shots that feel effortless.

They were also great with our young children, who naturally can be difficult photo subjects. Our son is now camera obsessed after being around Juan and Johana in action!

10/10 highly recommend working with this fabulous couple!

Amazing Photographers!

We found out about Juancho SC through a friend who was considering hiring them and we saw how lots of venues highly recommended them. From the first time we met, we loved how personable, fun and nice they were and how passionate they were about their work. Hiring them was one of the easiest decisions we made for our wedding. First, we did an engagement photo shoot with them. Juan and Johana make an amazing team. They captured some incredible shots and we just enjoyed being with them. Those photos gave us a great preview of what we were in for on the big day. The weeks leading up to the wedding they were very responsive and were constantly asking if there was anything else they can do to help. On our wedding day, they showed up ready to work with an amazing attitude! They went above and beyond to capture everything we wanted. Everyone had nothing but greats things to say about them at the end of the night. We were absolutely blown away by the photos once we received them. A dream to work with!

Juancho and Johana are an absolute dream to work with! By this point, I’m sure you’ve already looked through all their photos and see their work is amazing but what you won’t know until you speak with them is that they are the most genuine, loving and passionate people out there! When you talk with them, it’s feels like catching up with old friends even though it’s the first conversation. Everything was always so easy and we felt beyond prepared for what the timeline of our big day would be.
On our wedding day, Juancho and Johana would give us guidance on how to pose during portraits but they did it in such a way that didn’t distract from the special moments so everything still felt (and looked!) natural and not posed at all. Once all the action started, I’m convinced, they turned into chameleons! They blended in so perfectly that you forgot photographers were even floating around the room.
Working with them was definitely one of the highlights of our wedding day and we are obsessed with our photos!

Our engagement photos allowed us to get to know Juancho and Johana and build a level of trust knowing that they would produce amazing work for our wedding.

The Best Photographers & The Best Experience!

My (now) husband and I heard about Johana and Juancho through raving reviews, "they are the best in the business!" as it was said exactly by our band that we hired. Immediately from this review, we reached out to them and looked at their Instagram at their beautiful work. We talked with Juancho first, he was extremely kind, bubbly, and his (and his wife's) passion for photographing weddings and love shined through. We knew after that first phone conversation that we were 100% sold on hiring them. We met Johana and Juancho at our engagement shoot a few months later, and they were both so friendly and easy to work with right from the beginning. I talked to both of them about how I was nervous about taking photos- I've never really been a part of a photoshoot before so I was worried about how I should look, and I found that not only were they easy to open up to, but they were very understanding and reassuring to be myself and that my (now) husband and I should act natural, have fun, and enjoy the process. And that we did! We had such a great time at our first shoot, which made us only more excited for our upcoming wedding. Our engagement photos came back quickly as well- we were very happy that they communicated a timeline of when we would get the pictures back, and truly stuck to it. Our time working together on our wedding day was such a pleasant and fun experience as well- they showed up on time with great energy, and really hyped up our people and made everyone so excited. Our wedding party even complimented them to us on their ability to make the pictures fun, natural, and not feel staged. Another thing I loved about working with them was knowing that they were an extremely strong team working together- you could see it during their work. Our wedding day was so amazing, and Juancho and Johana added to this as well. We received our photos again when they promised, and when I opened them I was instantly brought to tears by their beautiful work. They captured the day SO well and really remembered to include every important big and small detail. We would definitely hire them again without a doubt, and we whole-heartedly encourage any couple getting married to hire Johana and Juancho as their photographers!

Best Photographers

This is so long overdue, but I want to emphasize that we had absolutely the BEST photographers for our wedding. We got married in July 2022, a multicultural wedding, Mexican & Cambodian, Juancho & Johana captured all the beautiful moments. We felt super comfortable throughout the entire process, and it was super easy working with them. They are both warm and genuine. Their creativity and attention to detail was impeccable. Perfect for a Queer Wedding!

The PERFECT photographers for an LGBTQ+ wedding. My husband and I cannot recommend Juancho and Johana enough. Their work speaks for itself, but beyond that they are the kindest team you will ever meet. Our first time working with them was for our engagement session downtown. They made the day fun, relaxed, and efficient. Their attention to detail is unmatched. We felt like we were getting to hang out with two close friends the whole time. They have a superpower for making you feel comfortable and confident!

On our wedding day, they were a DREAM. Our wedding party loved the energy they brought to the suite as we got ready for the day. Juancho and Johana know how to add to the party! What I love most about their work is that they are willing to experiment, play, and explore various artistic visions. They capture intimate moments while knowing how to excellently stage more formal poses. We couldn't be happier with our photos from the day. Gorgeous Work and Wonderful People!

We worked with Juancho and Johana for both our engagement shoot and our wedding itself. Juancho and Johana were so amazing to work with. I loved how they worked together as a team, and how that translated to working with us, making us comfortable, and getting better photos of us than I even thought possible. My family and bridal party loved working with them too!

The photos themselves are absolutely GORGEOUS!! We really liked the dramatic style of Juancho's photography and that's what we got. It was amazing to see the moments they were able to capture throughout the day and get to relive our wedding day every time we look through them. Photos to last a lifetime!

Juancho and Johana were the perfect team to capture our wedding day. What I loved about them was how they made the photo shoot part of the day interactive and fun. As soon as they arrived, the day started getting exciting. They made everything run smoothly when we got off the bus and went to the Lily pond for photos. I’ve been in weddings before where the photographers were less interactive and I felt that the photo shoot can be a bit boring and hard to get through. With them, it was fun as they were taking lots of candid shots in action of us and our wedding party. Once we got to the reception they got to work shooting the room and also did an amazing job capturing the ceremony, even though the room at Morgan’s on Fulton is not very well lit. We were super happy with how the photos turned out!

The Best Experience!

I knew Juancho and Johana were the perfect fit for our wedding the moment we met. You can tell the passion they have for photography just by talking to them, and you can see it in the beautiful images they capture!
They helped us reach our vision for our wedding day: to have FUN. We knew the photos would be beautiful (especially after doing an engagement shoot with them), and we wanted to be able to be ourselves on our wedding day and let them capture all the little moments between us which they did.
One of the most important things to me was having a highly-experienced and professional photographer that understands lighting in all conditions. My husband and I are a biracial couple and I wanted to make sure we both looked great and natural in the photos. Juancho and Johana delivered the perfect photos with great color, lighting and editing.
It was so incredibly hard to pick favorite photos from our wedding day, but some of my favorites they captured were the photos of our first dance. My husband and I both love dancing and that was a moment where we were truly ourselves and you can see the joy between us. I was surprised to get those photos back because at that point in the evening, I wasn't even thinking about pictures - just thinking about having a good time. They captured the best moments so that we will always have them to look back on and remember.
Our family and friends complimented us on their professionalism and how comfortable they were taking photos, even those people who usually are not comfortable in front of a camera. Juancho and Johana are down-to-earth, funny, have good energy and are so pleasant to be around. They will add so much to your day! We give them our highest recommendation!

The Best Money You'll Ever Spend!

Easily the best decision we made for our wedding! From our first Zoom meeting to our wedding day, Juancho and Johana created a comfortable and exciting atmosphere . For both our engagement photos and our entire wedding day, it was as if we were hanging out with friends who were able to capture every perfect moment. My husband and I didn't have any specific locations in mind for our engagement shoot or wedding photos, and they were able to recommend so many perfect spots that represented 'us' perfectly! My husband is notorious for not being able to smile on command, and I was worried our pictures would reflect that. Juancho and Johana made sure that this was not an issue at all. They made us feel so comfortable and calm that my husband has a genuine smile on his face in each picture! Throughout the planning process many of our vendors asked who we had hired for photographers, from the moment we said Juancho and Johana, all of our vendors could not stop raving about how amazing they were and how the vendors were excited to see them at our wedding! We were so extremely happy with how both our engagement and wedding galleries turned out that we will never be able to pick our favorite photos, instead we have 800 favorite photos from our wedding day! From the beginning of our wedding day to the very end, they were constantly taking photos and capturing every moment of the day. Our guests even commented about how amazed they were that our photographers seemed to be everywhere capturing every single moment! At the end of our wedding night, we invited Juancho and Johana back to our reception to have a drink and hang out with us because we weren't ready to say goodbye to them! We will never forget our wedding day, and it is all because we hired Juancho and Johana to not only take extraordinary photos but because they helped make every part of our day perfect with their energy and excitement.

Incredible!

Juancho and Johana are not only INCREDIBLE photographers, but also just such wonderful people. I had creeped their photos for 2 years prior to having them shoot our engagement shoot (yes, since before we were even engaged 😂). That’s how good they are! They are true to the colours and emotions of the photos and have an artistic and vivid editing style. Their photos are truly out of this world and captured our love so perfectly. Aside from that, the entire experience from day 1 was perfect. When I reached out to inquire, Juancho called me right away and had a conversation with me just getting to know me and what our vision was. He and Johana then scheduled a zoom call with us (thanks to COVID) to get to know both me and my fiancé. They provided us different package options for engagement shoot vs. engagement + wedding, with optional add ons including albums and canvases. We then scheduled a date for our shoot. Going into it, I was excited and a bit nervous, and my fiancé was especially nervous as he doesn’t love posing for photos. Little did I know that we had nothing to worry about! They had provided us with tips beforehand, and then on the day of, they were both so carefree and relaxed that it put us completely at ease! They directed us in how to start our poses without making us feel like mannequins or stiff at all- they allowed for our natural personalities to take over and captured the most beautiful photos. We got our photos SO fast, and in the end they had us view our photos in their home theatre studio, in the format of a slideshow over wine and cheese. We are so grateful to have met Juancho and Johana, who are now not just our photographers but also friends, and for this to be the first big step in our wedding plan ning process! Best wedding vendor we worked with!

We are so thankful that we found Juancho and Johana! They enhanced our wedding planning experience greatly, making the whole process feel like we were working with family from the first meet-and-greet at their house, to driving to Michigan for our engagement shoot, to easing our nerves on the day of and finally continuing to be like family post-wedding. We cannot recommend them enough!

We had several meetings with other photographers and no one compared to Juancho SC Photography. Although they are incredibly professional, working with them instantly made us feel at ease and as if we had known Juancho and Johana for a very long time. Juancho led the creative direction while Johana handled the business side of things and planning for the day-of. Both are excellent photographers. They are a great team and even better couple. Their talent is breathtaking! It was important to us that we had a range of photograph styles from striking, vivid images, to stunning black and white images; from excellent group shots to thoughtful candid moments no one would think to capture but tells the story perfectly. We love their signature photograph the most: the ones that add an extra layer of light splashing the image or the ones that bring the foreground in and out of focus at the same time.

We review our engagement and wedding photo albums all the time, always finding a new favorite image. The precious moments they’ve captures via still images feel like live video that take us right back to the feeling of each moment. We couldn’t be more thrilled that we hired them for our wedding and look forward to working with them again in the future as our family grows.

Bride / Event Coordinator

This year was not the year we had hoped it would be, nor was our wedding the day we had planned it to be. But when it came time to decide whether or not we would post pone our original wedding day, we knew we still wanted to get married. Before making the decision of whether or not we should postpone we reached out to Juancho and Johana to see if they were available. Fortunately, they were and were extremely quick to respond to our inquiry submission.

Being an event coordinator, I was able to experience them first hand and see what amazing work they did. I have seen Juancho run from point A to point B get on the floor stand on a chair.. basically doing whatever it takes to get the shot. Seeing their art work, I should their work to my now husband and said that if we were going to postpone, Juancho and Johana were the photographers we needed to work with. They are the ones to bring our fairytale wedding to life. And to be honest, they did just that.

This duo team is not just any team, they are a couple of whom show their love to one another regardless of how stressful a day could get. They share their story with everyone on social media, and their story is exactly as it is perceived in real life, and nothing is more comforting than seeing that on your wedding day. When having to make a decision of whether or not to postpone, or if we were packing too much into our schedule on the day of... they never pressured us to make a decision we weren't 100% on. They encouraged us, and gave us insight based on their experience. Their advice goes a long way!

On the day of the wedding, they arrived early to prep, and stayed a bit later because our ceremony was running late due to technical difficulties to ensure that we got ALL of the shots we wanted. With all of the nerves that you feel on the day of, Johana and Juancho made not only my type A self feel comfortable to let my guard down, but also my crazy family and bridal party. We have never taken photos like this for any weddings before and this was our first experience with any photographer. We never felt more comfortable or laughed as hard naturally as we had on the day of.

For our wedding day, we decided to live stream our big day to our family and friends so that we were able to ensure that everyone got to be a part of our day from a safe distance. My reason for bringing this up is because when we watched back the livestream the next day... you could see Juancho going from side to side, up, down, left, right, and our entire family was pretty sure at one point he was considering jumping into the fountain behind him to get a shot. All in all, you can not find a better team anywhere else.

We highly recommend booking Juancho SC Photography for your special day, they are amazing at their craft and you will never have to worry for a second of whether or not they got the shot... because most likely Juancho has gotten from 4 different angles. :) We can't wait to book them for other events in the future!

photography company. They are an experience.
This wonderful duo couple are not only talented but

The best there is.

We have nothing but absolutely amazing things to say about this husband and wife duo. First by welcoming us into their home and allowing us to get to know them and then followed by the constant support/help/catching up/warmth, what’s not to love about them?! We did an engagement shoot with them in the freezing cold winter and their professionalism, comedy, and love that beams between the two of them made us nearly forget about the cold. From helping us with our day of schedule, making our pictures not feel awkwardly posed, and from making us feel like we have been friends with them our whole lives, we couldn’t imagine having different photographers. Their style is so unique and sets them above all others. A VERY Talented Chicago Photographer Duo You Easily LOVE!!!

Not your average wedding photographers

My husband and I have a million great things to say about Juancho and Johana but I'll try to keep it brief. I discovered Juancho and Johana on our venue's instagram page and contacted them to get more info. Their style stuck out to me because it looked different than any other wedding photographers I had looked at. They reached out and invited my husband and I over to their home to get to know them and look at some more of their work. We spent two hours with them and left absolutely in love with this couple. We opted out of an engagement session initially because of budget issues and Juancho and Johana offered it to us on them so we could get used to working with them before the wedding day. Throughout the planning process, Johana was a godsend. She and I had a coffee date a few months before the wedding to talk logistics (she basically made my entire day of schedule for me) and she had another call with me the week before the wedding to assuage my nerves and go over last minute details. Johana is the logistical side of the partnership, and Juancho is the creative energy. Juancho called not only my husband and I the week of the wedding but also my mom, my MIL, our best man, our maid of honor, and my bridesmaid that introduced my husband and I to talk about what our relationship means to everyone so he could cover the day in a more thorough and considerate way. The day of the wedding Juancho and Johana gave us and our wedding party so many laughs while also doing their job, covering everything from Joey and I to all our loved ones reactions in the background. We could not love these two more and left our day so happy we hired them and looking forward to working with them in the future.

So much more than amazing photographers

Juancho and Johana filled our wedding day experience with laughter and ease from beginning to end. From the first time we met them at their home studio, to the engagement shoot, and our wedding day, we felt comfortable and that they were interested in making this experience individually special for us. Juancho and Johana are a husband and wife team and their comments to one another are so sweet to listen to (even if you don't know a ton of Spanish!). Juancho is always calling Johana "mi amor" and vice versa, which fills you with a little extra love and always makes you smile. Juancho went along with all of our ideas, including our sunrise engagement photos in the bitter cold (which he had never done before and is, admittedly, a bit of a night owl). My husband and I are not super photogenic people, and they caught every good angle and every special moment without feeling intrusive or overwhelming. They also don't skimp on any detail. Johana called a few days before our wedding, just to check in with me and see how I was feeling. And before sending your photos, they ask you to set up a special date (ours included cake and wine) and to set aside time to look over and cherish the memories. Everything about our wedding experience was made significantly better due to Juancho and Johana being a part of our team!

Juancho & Johana are simply the best!

Juancho & Johana were, by far, one of our favorite vendors from our wedding. From our initial video chat (pre-booking them) through our wedding day and beyond, they were so friendly, easy to work with, respectful of our opinions/vision for our wedding, and creative beyond belief.

First things first, their work is INCREDIBLE. We wanted a photographer that was able to capture the small moments of the day organically, which they accomplished with such ease, and every time we look at our photos (both engagement and wedding), we are immediately taken back to that exact moment in time and we are overwhelmed with all the happy and loving memories and emotions from the day. They truly captured the essence of us, our family, our friends, and the intimate vibe of our wedding day, and we can’t thank them enough for the talent, creativity, and passion they put into their work. What stands out even more is the added touches of photographic flair they were able to achieve with certain shots (unique perspectives, fun lighting, playing with mirrors/shadows, use of prisms for reflection) that left us in awe, and brought such an artistic vision to some of our favorite photos!

Outside of the actual photography, Juancho & Johana were also wonderful communicators - promptly responding to emails, providing photo location suggestions, and giving wonderful direction and feedback during picture taking to ensure we got the BEST photos possible (slight movement of face to be in the best light, etc). Even more important was their ability to keep our entire family and wedding party ON SCHEDULE the day of our wedding - easily getting all the pictures we needed and wanted before the ceremony, and getting us to our venue with enough time to relax a bit before the ceremony. On a day that is filled with anxiety and hard timelines to ensure we got to all photo locations before our ceremony, Juancho & Johana achieved such operational efficiency and our entire wedding day went so smooth and perfect!

There is no other photographer we would consider above Juancho & Johana for any future photo needs (newborn photos, anniversary photos, etc), and any newly engaged couples would be so lucky to be able to work with them on their wedding day! We cannot thank them enough for everything - they are simply the best!

The best photographers EVER

Juancho and Johana are a DREAM. I knew I loved their style when I saw them on instagram. I knew we weren't going to get boring, cookie-cutter photos. When we met in person, we were immediately made to feel like we were old friends. They asked all about our relationship, our family, who were are as people, etc. They wanted to get to know us and be able to capture our day authentically. I knew we had to hire them.

We did an engagement shoot to make sure that nervous/awkward me would get some practice in front of the camera. Despite my nerves and feeling cold (we took photos in the snow), I knew the photos were going to amazing based on how beautifully Johana and Juancho worked together. The photos were so amazing, I didn't know how the wedding photos could top them. Spoiler alert... they did!!!!

On the wedding day, Juancho and Johana brought an infectious energy into the room as soon as they entered. They made everyone feel at ease as well as excited! While I have been in weddings where a lot of the moments felt staged, I never felt that way on my wedding day. Every moment felt natural and nothing felt forced.

The photos are the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. There are literally no bad shots. Every photo was different and interesting and artistic and also full of emotion and love. It was basically impossible to narrow it down for an album. Juancho and Johana are not just supremely talented, but they put so much thought and care into what they do. I feel so lucky they captured our wedding day. If I could give advice to someone planning a wedding, I would make Juancho and Johana the first call.

Best photographers!

Best photographers EVER! Juancho and Johana have an amazing energy and love that bring a ton of fun on set and make you feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. They really find the most unique angles and lighting that bring an elevated look compared to any other photographer out there. Most photographers have the overdone "natural/subdued" type look to their photos but Juancho/Johana's are full of color and extremely vibrant, which is exactly what I was looking for. Their portraits are absolutely stunning and black & white photos are jaw dropping. I loved that they feature tons of black & white photos in their galleries/social media as most photographers I noticed don't feature any at all, and I love the emotion behind b&w photos. What really sealed the deal was that they took the time to invite us to their studio and meet in person to get to know us without us even requesting it and before we even booked them! We spent HOURS talking and vibing and they made us feel like we had known each other for years. I love that they wanted to make sure we felt completely comfortable with them before we made any decision about booking. At their studio they had several beautiful wedding albums to show us and took their time to answer any questions we had. You can tell they truly care about their clients and put their all into their work. You will not regret working with them!

The very best

The skinny if you don’t want to read my novel: Juancho and Johana are the dream team. These two HUSTLE to capture the moments that you will cherish for the rest of our your life.

Your relationship with your photographer is extremely important, you spend the most important day of your life with them by your side. As quite a particular person (I am not a type A personality, I am a type triple A personality), I knew that we needed to find the right match for us.

Johana and Juancho are the perfect pair. They are organized, responsive and they set expectations extremely well. They kept the POSITIVE energy up the entire day. Positivity and passion are so important on the day of your wedding. They kept it fun (and hilarious) while wrangling a bride and groom and their entire wedding party with ease. We have every important moment captured from multiple angles.

My husband and I are so thankful that they were part of our day. I do not hand out 5 stars like participation trophies, they earned it and I cannot recommend them enough.

Amazing experience with Juancho SC Photography!

A Fairytale Wedding

We used Juancho for our engagement and wedding photography and they exceeded expectations on all counts! It was important to us to capture all of the beautiful, candid moments, and have our photographers just blend in with the day and they did just that. Prior to our engagement session we met with them, told them our love story and shared what we were looking for when it came to our photographs. I didnt expect that level of care but it immediately made us feel like we were making the right choice. All of the pictures turned out amazing,the colors are beautiful! We're still amazed at some of the angles and shots they captured b/c we dont remember seeing them in certain areas; they truly blended in with the day . The only downside we have is that they took so many great photos that it makes it impossible to choose our favorites. Juancho and Johana are truly a class act and you can tell that they love what they do. Id definitely recommend them, in fact I already have and theyre shooting my co workers wedding this weekend! A testament to my satisfaction.

Fantastic experience with Juancho SC Photography

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Juancho and Johana as our wedding photographers. I was introduced to them through a dear friend who hired them as her wedding photographers two summers before my wedding. I was in the wedding party and able to witness first hand their level of professionalism, friendliness, and general ability to put everyone in the bridal party at ease. That was really important to me, and even more important was the quality and diversity of the photos. I also wanted to be sure to find photographers who knew how to properly take photos of people of different shades since my husband and I are an interracial couple and had family and friends of different races and skin tones in our bridal party and at our wedding more broadly. They did not disappoint (which I had already gleaned from my friend's photos and photos on their site)! I was in awe of my friend's photos and the beautiful final wedding album they created for her.

From the start of our inquiry for our own wedding and engagement photos, Johana and Juancho were friendly, responsive, accommodating, and professional. I am so glad we did engagement photos with them because they turned out beautifully and allowed both me and my husband to get used to taking hundreds of photos in public! Their energy is infectious and within about 10 minutes of starting our engagement session in the middle of downtown Chicago, we forgot about (and kind of enjoyed!) all the people watching. We received those photos and our wedding photos on a very timely basis, despite what I know is a busy season for them. On the day of our (very hot) wedding, they were everywhere they were supposed to be and I never had to think about whether the photos were covered. That was huge because the less you can think about on the day of, the better. They were so outgoing and made our whole bridal party feel comfortable and excited.

Our wedding photos and final albums for us and our parents came out beautifully and the process to choose the photos was straightforward and easy. I changed my mind on some of the order and color (black & white or color) of the photos, and Johana happily made any adjustments I requested before producing the final album. We are so grateful to them for helping us capture the most important day of our lives and truly capturing the love that radiated between us, our family, and friends. For something as important as your wedding photos, I would strongly recommend going with a sure bet, even if it means cutting back your budget for other elements - and for us, that's exactly what they were. They are genuinely fun, outgoing, and warm people who truly love what they do, and it shows. Thank you again for everything!!

Juancho and Johana just didn't give us beautiful wedding pictures, they helped us create memories which were creative, artistic and very cool. We chose them because we didn't just want the standard wedding pictures - boy did they deliver! They always found special angles, unusual places and just the right lighting.
They also took the time to get to know us before our wedding - as a result they knew what we liked and had a sense of our personalities. In addition they were lots of fun to work with.

Juancho and Johana are super fun to work with! We had excellent experience with them for both engagement photo shooting and the wedding. They are prompt in reply and the photo editing was really fast. Plus, Juancho can always make you laugh.

During the wedding, they checked out the venue ahead of time so that they can setup the lighting. I also received lots of compliments from guests regarding how professional my photographers were because they were always busy capturing our best look.

They also remembered I like the night view of the city. It was still bright during my ceremony, so we sneaked out and took some pictures with city lights toward the end of the event.

Anyone who looks at a photo these two have taken can see their pure talent, however, to watch the process and see how the wheels spin in Juancho’s head as he seems to create something beautiful out of what you thought was nothing, is truly magical!

Our wedding was this past August and we found Juancho through our wedding planner, Ashley from Simply Elegant. I like to think I have an artistic eye and I naturally gravitated towards a photographer who could truly make these photos into pieces of art through creative angles and foresight into the best backdrops. Juancho did just that and took all of my suggestions seriously and executed them beautifully. I love every picture more than the other! They are really just extremely talented and so fun to work with. Juancho is the life of the party and he brings such a contagious energy to the photoshoot...my bridesmaids are still to this day raving about him! Johana compliments him so well and she is just lovely. If I could give them
more stars I would! Also, our wedding was Persian-American and they navigated through our traditional ceremony and cultural elements very well, so please do not hesitate one bit if your wedding is as well. My only regret is that I did not get a chance to take a picture on this big day with this lovely couple themselves! However, I have many great memories of working with them and will treasure them. Johana and Juancho are any couple's dream photographers. They are absolutely amazing at what they do. Our photos look like they belong in a magazine. They captured every detail of the day perfectly and working with them was a breeze.

When I first reached out, they were on vacation and Juancho took the time to speak to me on the phone. I honestly knew right then we wanted to hire them because he was so charismatic and passionate about his work. Once my husband and I met with them in person when they returned from their vacation, it was a done deal. Johana was just as passionate and friendly as her husband and they made us feel like old friends.

My husband hates taking pictures and even he enjoyed our engagement session and the photos on the wedding day. They provide amazing direction and know how to find the perfect lighting to ensure you look your best. I'd recommend them highly to anyone looking to work with kind, amazing, and passionate people.

Juancho and Johana are a duo that is one of a kind. Their work is perfection. We cannot even describe how incredible our photos are and cannot thank them enough for the works of art we got that captured our special day. They have exceeded our expectations.

They helped make this whole process smooth and easy. The moment we met over Skype, we knew they were the perfect fit; they made us feel like we knew them for years. They were very responsive to questions and very flexible with requests, always ensuring we were satisfied.

They are fun, upbeat, happy people that make everyone laugh and feel comfortable. Everybody raved about how fun they were and how great their work is. It is clear Juancho & Johana love what they do and we could not highly recommend them enough!

Juancho and Johana did our engagement and wedding photos. They go above and beyond- Johana noticed some potential conflicts with our timeline and helped me figure out the schedule so that everything went smoothly. Their energy level is PERFECT! They are super energetic but not at all cheesy or annoying... the perfect people to be with you every step of the way on the best day of your life! "OMG! I am so proud of me!" was one of Juancho's many funny quotes of the day.... we are still fondly using that line. The only thing I will warn you about is the nearly impossible task of narrowing down the pictures to the suggested 80-100 for the album. We had 250 that we absolutely loved.... a very good problem to have.

My husband is a photographer, so when looking for a wedding photographer he researched everyone. Asking questions that people don't normally think to ask. He researched over 50 photographers in the Chicagoland area and no one came close to Juancho SC Photography when meeting his expectations. This duo has the perfect medium between your classic fun wedding photos and artistic stylized shots. On top of their highly professional skills, they are fun to work and play with. They love what they do and it shows. Hearing Juancho call his partner "Mi Amour" through out the day brought a smile to my face. As I speak to people about the wedding, my guests still mention how amazing the photographers were. They captured everything. Every moment, every small gesture, every surprised look, every detail of our big day. They are close as you can get to perfect.
Juancho has a natural eye to find beautiful shots and frame it perfectly. Even though our wedding was at a location they had never been to, the photos looked like they had planned every spot as if it was meant to always be.
Johana not only is an amazing second photographer but she comes prepared with suggestions on how to stand, tilt your head, lift your arm, etc so you look natural and beautiful in the shot.
We didn't need to have a list of the photos we wanted them to capture because they were always shooting. But at the end of the night, we wanted to take photos with all of the guests. Juancho was eager "Of course! I'm here to shoot whatever you want." He followed us around for 45 min just taking quick snap shots with everyone.
As I look through the enormous photo album at all of my photos, I see the sincere expressions on everyone's faces. I will forever be grateful for having Juancho SC Photography capture our day.
Save yourself some time and make an appointment to meet them. They are a rare find.

Cannot say enough good things about these two!! They actually made time to Skype with us while they were on vacation! You can check out their website or Instagram and see just how amazing and creative their photos are-you will be getting ART from these two. If they can make my now-husband and I (not photogenic people) look good, then . Please know that actually working with them is even better! Their personalities are so fun-loving and energetic, you can't help but smile when you're with them. Johana actually got my mom and grandmother to relax and enjoy the pre-wedding photos! They were very flexible, making time to take pictures my family requested at the wedding and still managing to be everywhere we were at the same time. While we haven't gotten our wedding pictures yet since it was 2 weeks ago (our engagement photos were ready early and were just incredible) the whole experience of working with them was just about perfect-I cannot recommend them highly enough!!!

We hired Juancho and Johana for our Chicago wedding in July and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the couple. They were energetic, creative, and made you feel comfortable in front of the camera. It was important for my husband to have more artistic photos and after skying with them we know they were the perfect choice right away. They captured such beautiful photos throughout the city and wonderful candid shots. For me, I wanted to be around someone that made me feel comfortable and relaxed on my wedding day and they were perfect. Not, only were they easy to work with, but brought such positive and fun energy to the whole day. We heard of Juancho SC Photography through a friend along with a few other recommendations. After Skyping with Juancho and Johana, we knew they would be the team to go with! We had only spoken to one other photographer, but felt strongly that they were a fantastic choice and they proved us right!!! They clearly LOVE what they do and that shines through in all of their work. We are so happy with the photos that we will get to cherish for the rest of our lives. My best friend's description of one of the photos pretty much sums it up: "I think I saw this as the stock photo in the picture frames the other day at Bed Bath and Beyond. So beautiful and perfect!!!"

Not only is the quality of their work top notch, J&J are also amazingly fun, entertaining, and wonderful to work with - we, and all our wedding party, had so much fun spending the day with them!

I cannot express how magical they are! Juancho and Johana made my day extremely beautiful. My husband and I are so blessed to have had them as our photographers. Not only did our photos end up being the most stunning photos ever, but they captured every single moment and perspective that I could've dreamed of and more! They are extremely professional and amazingly personable. Juancho is so funny and caring. Johana is the encouraging sister that you need throughout the wedding planning process, and most importantly, on your special day. I will forever be indebted to this phenomenal couple. They are one of the BEST decisions that we made when planning our wedding. I cannot stop talking about how organized, genuine, and talented this couple is. I'm not really sure where to even begin...Juancho and Joanna were such a pleasure to work with and are extremely talented!!! They both have such great energy and enthusiasm for their work that everyone raved about them and our pictures. I would highly recommend them to anyone because I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Before I get too wordy, here are a few highlights: - very responsive to our questions - flexible in scheduling phone and in person meetings - professional but also very fun to work with - this is small, but Juancho even reminded me admist all the craziness of the day that I was yet to take a photo with my brother. Wow, how awesome that he was on top of those kinds of details! - they have 2 adorable little pups - two photographers is really the way to go!

I felt so at ease having Juancho and Johana by my side on my wedding day because they are just so put together. When putting my wedding/engagement shots up against other people's, there is just no comparison. They have an artistic eye that we did not see with any other photographers. There is nothing they won't do to get a fantastic shot. (Lay on their back, stomach, get on their knees... they were everywhere!) The first time I saw my hairdresser after doing my hair for my wedding, she even went out of her way to compliment me on my photographers, telling me they were just "the nicest and classiest people". My wedding was about 2 hours away from home and Juancho and Johana went to scope out possible picture locations on their own time, weeks before my wedding. They are great people, quick to get back to you and the pictures they take are just so unique. I cannot say enough great things.

As we planed our wedding we knew we wanted a photographer that would capture the important moments of the day all while not fixing it to look picture perfect but rather letting it flow naturally. I honestly can’t put into words how amazing Juancho and Johana are. They are not only extremely talented, but also extremely kind and a blast to work with. With these two it is hard to get a bad photo. I am not a very photogenic person… I seem to have 3 chins in every pictures I take unless I take a picture from the extreme high “selfie angle”…but somehow I looked amazing in every picture they took! Juancho will keep you smiling with all his spunk and Johana will give you every model trick you need to look fabulous in photos. They are extremely quick to respond to any questions I had and more than willing to help with anything they could. You can tell how much they care and want your day to be special. With some wedding vendors your wedding is just a paycheck, but with these two your wedding is their passion. We just got our wedding photos back and they are stunning…I’ve never felt so vain in my life, but I can’t stop starring at how beautiful they are. You can read all of the reviews on how amazing this team is, but their portfolio speaks for itself. Your wedding day goes by too fast and there is no better way to capture the day than through beautiful photography. We were initially drawn to the artistic and unique style of their photography. Upon meeting with Johana and Juancho to discuss our wedding I knew we were meant to work together. It is rare when you have such high expectations of something or someone and even those high expectations are surpassed. That is how we felt about Juancho and Johana. Where do I even begin with Juancho and Johana. When we first met them, I seriously felt like we had known them for years. They're warm and welcoming personalities immediately caught my attention. From that moment and after reviewing some of their gorgeous wedding photography I instantly knew they were our photographers. Johana is absolutely the sweetest. After booking, her and I maintained constant communication and she was there for any advice I needed regarding photography or wedding planning in general. She even provided some suggestions on photography locations that I probably would never even have thought of. She really made things go smoothly. On the day of our engagement shoot, we had such an awesome time with them. We even went our to dinner together and had a few drinks. They're such good people. Our engagement pictures, OMG..... they were perfect! We received so many compliments on our pictures. So, not only are they sooooo nice, but they're picture taking skills are phenomenal and out of this world. On the day of our wedding, they were always in constant communication with us with everything. We had so much fun with them. We also received our pictures fast and they were so beautiful. They truly captured our day perfectly. I would show a few pictures to people, and people would say "Honestly, these are the best wedding pictures I have ever seen." I honestly cannot put into words how are perfect they were. So if you're reading this review looking for a photographer, drop what you're doing, look no more because you have found them. :)

Where do I start... I honestly can't express in words how amazing juancho and Johana truely are. They are top experts in their field. Juancho brings such spunk and life into capturing outstanding photography. Johana showed us all the models tricks to look amazing in photographs. We got previews so so quickly and are soooo excited to see the final photos captured on my husband and my special day. These photos, we will have for a lifetime and we are truely grateful for the work they do.

Juancho and Johanna are an amazing photography team! They are upbeat, passionate and endlessly positive - even during a below freezing engagement shoot in Chicago, and a rainy wedding day on the farm.

We live cross-country but held our wedding just outside Chicago, so planned our wedding from long-distance. Juancho & Johanna were extremely accommodating in finding times to Skype, and they worked around our schedule to meet with us during our visits to Chicago. On the wedding day, they were true professionals and experts at their craft. They were flexible when we had a last minute change to our unrehearsed rain plan. They worked seamlessly with our videographer. They were able to capture all the moments that really tell the story of our wedding day — while making it all seem effortless.

Our photos are truly gorgeous, but what my husband and I appreciated the most was what an incredible couple they are to work with. They are personable, kind, lighthearted and fun to be around. You are more than happy to spend the wedding day with them, and you leave the experience having made new friends!

With all of the decisions one has to make while planning a wedding, we were so happy with this one! We would choose Juancho SC Photography again in a heartbeat!

Juancho and Johana are some of the most lovely, talented, passionate and fun people that we've ever met and it was a true pleasure to have them as our photographers for our engagement shoot and wedding. In order to lighten up the load, my wife left me in charge of selecting a wedding photographer. Juan and Johana were extremely pleasant to work with. We were scheduled to take pictures around downtown during cocktail hour, but the weather did not cooperate. Instead, Juan and Johana met us three days later for a fabulous post wedding shoot. I wanted to make sure our day would be documented with great quality photos for all the time and stress spent planning for just one day. Through photos, moments in life are captured: it's like catching/freezing that one precise, brief, miniscule moment of significance and making it forever timeless.

I spent many weeks looking through portfolios of many Photographers and viewed a plethora of photos; they all started looking the same to me, and I got tired of clicking on each of the Photographers' profiles. I decided to just skim through many pages of profile pictures, until I came across Juancho's profile picture: an engagement picture of a couple laughing in a field of yellow flowers. It definitely caught my attention - the photo was emotionally genuine and left a lasting impact in my mind.

I was definitely more interested when I saw more photos on Juancho's own website. I was AMAZED by his portfolio. I thought to myself - this guy has natural talent in expressing his own unique style of visualization; his photos explain themselves; it's as if he weren't there taking them.

When I finally met with Juancho & Johana, it solidified my decision. I wanted to make sure our day would be documented with great quality photos for all the time and stress spent planning for just one day. Through photos, moments in life are captured: it's like catching/freezing that one precise, brief, miniscule moment of significance and making it forever timeless.
I spent many weeks looking through portfolios of many Photographers and viewed a plethora of photos; they all started looking the same to me, and I got tired of clicking on each of the Photographers' profiles. I decided to just skim through many pages of profile pictures, until I came across Juancho's profile picture: an engagement picture of a couple laughing in a field of yellow flowers. It definitely caught my attention - the photo was emotionally genuine and left a lasting impact in my mind.
I was definitely more interested when I saw more photos on Juancho's own website. I was AMAZED by his portfolio. I thought to myself - this guy has natural talent in expressing his own unique style of visualization; his photos explain themselves; it's as if he weren't there taking them.
When I finally met with Juancho & Johana, it solidified my decision. Juancho and Johana did our engagement and wedding photos this year for our Spring 2015 wedding! It was a dream come true for my fiancé and I and they captured the entire day! We decided not to have a videographer and I can tell you that with the photographs that these two took, we didn't need one. They made this such an easy, fun, memorable day for everyone involved! Not to mention that they are so awesome to work with!

If you live in Chicago or somewhere else (as they do destination weddings as well), this dream team is a MUST! Don't waste your money on the super inexpensive photographers, you get what you pay for. Theses two are reasonable with their pricing and they have a way of creating photographs that are not only unique and artistic, but capture the vision you have for your big day as well! We adore them and can't say enough great things about them and their beautiful work!

Juancho, Johanna, and team were nothing less than amazing at our wedding last summer. We met with them multiple times prior to taking engagement photos and obviously the wedding. I think we will continue to be friends a long time for years to come. Aside from being great people, Juancho himself has an amazing eye and is always up for explorering your ideas and making them become reality. He was always accomodating from start to finish, and put in the extra time when we needed him most. We live in Miami but decided to have our engagement session in Chicago. After doing some research, we found Juancho SC Photography and decided to have them take our engagement pictures. From the moment we meet Juan and Johana they made us feel very comfortable, they really took their time to get to know how we interacted as a couple. The combination of their great personality, sense of humor and their techniques really made the session a lot of FUN!!

Our engagement pictures are amazing and they exceeded our expectations!!! These reflect how comfortable we felt because they look very natural!

After experiencing their techniques and seen the results of our engagement pictures we decided to book them for our wedding which took place in Miami. I have no words to describe how important it is to have some one document our special day in a way that truly reflects who we are!!

Setting up a casual meeting with Juancho and Johana prior to the wedding date gave us all an opportunity to get to know each other better, we didn’t feel like it was a sales pitch consultation at all, we felt they really wanted to get to know us as a couple. Another great way we got more familiar with each other was through the engagement photo shoot a few months before the wedding. It was like a rehearsal before the BIG day. We immediately discovered Juancho’s storytelling technique and it gave us a pretty good idea of what the wedding photos would be like.
Not only did we really like their work, we enjoyed spending time with them too! And that was very important to us. We wanted natural, unposed documentation of our wedding from someone who wasn’t going to interrupt the natural flow of the day. I got married in Cartagena, Colombia on August 30th of this year. I was in the search for the perfect photographer; but, lucky me!! My wedding planner had this photographer as one option. As soon as I saw his webpage and his perfect job I didn't hesitate for a second to contact him ( I though I had hired the best photographer but as soon as I saw his work, My mind was blown away!!). Johanna and Juancho are amazing at what they do. In my opinion anybody can take amazing pictures at any monument or landmark. Johanna and Juancho are amazing at having an eye of detail in the moment and are creative with the way lighting is at any specific time. He is outgoing, always smiling, with a wonderful energy that put us at ease immediately and allowed us to just be ourselves and made our wedding day an absolute blast. We saw Juancho's profile and loved every picture; at that moment I knew I wanted him for my wedding. We asked him to do our engament shooting and everyone fell in love with our pictures. At that moment I had no doubt he was going to do an outstanding job in our wedding.
On the wedding day, Juancho and his team arrived at the hotel and did a tremendous job going back and forth between my room and my fiancee's to capture every special moment. He had excellent ideas and complemented our love story.
We could not have asked for better photographer. He made every picture memorable from the beginning until the end. the final product (the album) was breathtaking. You can tell that he put his hard work to tell our story.
We, in fact, have recommended him to our friends and family as everyone asks about the great work he did.

We must be the luckiest couple alive. We love working with Juancho. Not only is he very professional, but also fun. His work is unbelievable. Such a creative and talented person along with Johanna. I am in love with their work. Our engagement pictures came out incredible. We saw a sneak peak of our wedding pictures and I am so excited and can't wait to see the rest.
