The best DJ we could've asked for

Stop looking now and book Jason. Seriously. This guy is an amazing DJ but also just an amazing person. He met with us right away before we hired him, answered all the questions I had (and there were a lot), and came to our rehearsal (our venue said he HAD to but he definitely didn't need to - he knows what he's doing). He accepted our wild bridal party and he did an amazing job announcing and keeping the reception events moving. Not to mention... the floor was full all night long. Jason is a wonderful person, a super fun DJ, and helped make our wedding day perfection - oh and he's actually affordable. Thank you Jason! We all loved you!

Jason was outstanding! He arrived 2 hours early, and after he was set up he helped out with anything and everything. He kept the dance floor filled all night long with great music! He is a genuine human who wants to help you have the best day ever. He was my favorite vendor, and I’d recommend him to all!

Jason was an AMAZING DJ for my wedding! He was very professional for the ceremony and dinner and a hoot for the party. I heard comments from several friends and family about what a great job he did with his song selection and announcements.

The Best Wedding DJ!

Can’t say enough great things about Jason! We had a smaller wedding and wanted to make sure people stayed on the dance floor all night. Jason was able to keep everyone on the dance floor and having a great time all night. We could not have asked for more from our DJ! We had several guests tell us how much they enjoyed the dance and how great Jason was. His website was super helpful for planning and organizing the day, and he was great at keeping our timeline for the evening on track. In addition his rates are much better than any other DJ’s for what you get. Stop looking and book him right now!!

A friendly, fun, and excellent wedding DJ!

My wife and I are extremely happy and impressed with Jason's performance as our wedding DJ. He played for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and was fantastic! He was extremely attentive to our needs and was very helpful in making everything run smoothly the entire night. I highly recommend booking Jason as your wedding DJ!

August Wedding

We just want to say what an awesome job Jason did. The setup for the ceremony, the reception, and then the dance itself. We couldn’t of asked anyone to have done a better job. We didn’t refer any songs unless one of our friends or family members requested it at the dance, which Jason happily played. The selection of music played the remainder of the time always kept our guests on their feet. We appreciate your hard work and could truly see Jason’s passion for music come alive through DJ’ing. We would also like to add in that our guests gave us a lot of feedback on how good Jason was as a DJ and also they said they enjoyed how involved he was throughout the night. We were so fortunate for Jason to share his passion with us and to have JPS entertainment make our special day one we won’t ever forget!

We are incredibly happy with our decision to have JPS entertainment DJ our wedding. He kept the dance floor packed ALL night long. Unfortunately, our DJs laptop was stolen shortly before the reception. He was prepared with back up equipment and no one even knew this had occurred. It didn’t even touch his positive energy!

Jason is amazing to work with he made every aspect of the day go over perfectly. From our outdoor wedding to quickly moving back to the reception hall. The truly great part is we gave Jason a few songs that we would like and he took that and did a perfect job playing excellent songs and kept the dance floor packed the whole night. Couldn't be happier with Jason!

My wife and I had Jayson from JPS Entertainment DJ at our wedding reception this past Saturday. We decided to go with Jayson because he was the best price for what we were looking for in a DJ. Jayson was very easy to work with and accommodated everything my wife and I had asked for. We literally had people on the dance floor from start to finish! We have had numerous comments from our guests that they loved our DJ. Jayson played a big part in making our day as special as it was. If you are looking for a DJ I would highly recommend Jayson! He won’t disappoint!

We used JPS Entertainment for our wedding and Jason was great to work with! He knows how stressful a wedding can be and by having him as our DJ made for one less thing to worry about! He is such a nice guy, he makes you feel like a friend instead of just another client. His online event planning form was so easy and convenient to use. I feel so lucky to have found him on this app!

Jason was the DJ at our wedding this past Saturday. We chose him because he was the best price we could find with overall good reviews. We're SO glad we did! He was great! You can tell that he DJs because he loves doing it. We have had several people tell us how great he was and a couple even ask if we knew him before because he seemed just like an old friend. he played songs we love and took requests from our guests. We had a lot of kids at our wedding and it was fun watching him keep them engaged as well as the adults!

The planning system on his website was so easy to use and any songs we wanted that he didn't have, we emailed to him. He only had trouble finding one and had a backup plan for it, but my personal attendant got us an MP3 copy. The suggestions we found on his website really helped us in planning our music for the entire day.

We can't recommend him enough!

Jason was referred to us from Keyed up events!! Thank goodness! The first day we met with Jason, we knew he would be a perfect fit for us. My husband and I have some eclectic music choices, and he had most of them! Yes, his website was easy to navigate, easy to pick songs you want, or definitely not want. He came early on they day of, not only to set up his own equipment, but to help out wherever he could! Jason even accepted the ceremony music duty last minute (control ipad for processional, etc). He has super awesome speakers that pump out great sound! Very professional. You can tell he loves life, doesn't take it for granted, and just wants to have fun!

Jason from JPS Entertainment had our wedding guests (of all ages) out on the dance floor the entire night! He even played a little past our end time since guests were having such a blast. The online form for song requests was simple to fill out and Jason called the week of our wedding to confirm our requests. I would recommend JPS Entertainment to anyone getting married or holding an event in the Twin Cities area!

Working with Jason was extremely easy. He was the DJ at our wedding on October 14th, and he did a damn fine job. Not only was he willing to play the music we requested, but he even took the extra steps to get the music we wanted. Jason's website was very easy to navigate, and anything we needed, or didn't want, Jason made sure it happened. I know sometimes reading these reviews you don't always believe the 5/5 reviews, but to be honest, the value of his service, the quality of his service, and just his overall professional attitude was above what we expected. We called several other DJ services that charged way too much for only a few hours, and after talking with a few of those big name companies, we felt like we were just easy money for them, and no one wants that for their wedding. Jason on the other hand was open to our ideas and suggestions, and knew when to take control of the dance floor if our music choices were, well...not the best. I encourage you to reach out to JPS Entertainment and Jason. He really made our wedding experience something to remember.

We first met Jason when he DJ'd for one of my now-wife's best friends. We liked him so much, and got such great feedback from the bride, that two years later he was the only person we gave serious consideration. As we look back on our own wedding night, we could not have been more thrilled. Jason was the quintessential professional from first hiring him to the last song of the evening. We had a unique ceremony in the vines of a winery, and Jason set up music and microphones to accommodate our wishes to play certain songs and allow speakers to be heard for our 200+ guests. Although a lot can go wrong outside, the ceremony was flawless. Once inside, he honored our wishes to have tables sing songs for us to kiss (instead of banging on glassware), and he floated around the room to pass the mic from group to group. He allowed the night to flow seamlessly, providing the perfect amount of narration and direction, but not interfering with the main event. Then, the dancing began, and Jason rocked it! He figured out that our guests wanted a lot of specific dance songs, then crafted a playlist to keep our dance going from 7:00pm-midnight. Not many of my friends and family are dancers, but Jason got them out there. It sounds like hyperbole, but nearly all of our guests commented on the best wedding they'd been to, and Jason played a huge role in the background. I would hire him again in a heartbeat - although my wife wouldn't be too pleased if I began planning another wedding!

*Sidenote: We booked him through Fulton Productions. They are a terrific entertainment company to work with.

Jason was amazing to work with!! I really enjoyed using the system he provides a link to plan our evening. Jason was very responsive and helpful with my questions. We had a few phone calls to discuss the day and everything turned out great. He definitely got our guests dancing and I know everyone had a great time!! I especially loved that he played some remixes of top hits - such as an "Uptown Funk" remix that really got the party going! I would definitely recommend JPS Entertainment for a wedding!

Jason did a fabulous job at our wedding! He was personable, flexible and related to all the guests.... since we are an older- yet lively- couple we had the great fortune to have our 6 combined children and our 9 grandchildren and our two mothers there, Jason kept every one involved and active, with a wide range of music! If I had it to do over again I would not change a thing- and that is the best compliment I can give Jason- Thank you!

Jason is WAY better than any other DJ in the Twin Cities, and the value he provides for the price is just unbeatable. I am sure Bellagala would have provided adequate services, but there are a couple things that made Jason the clear choice for our wedding:
- We knew Jason would be our personal DJ months in advance. With Bellagala, you have to pay extra to have a specific DJ
- Jason has been DJing weddings for years and he's not in it for the money...he genuinely wants to make your special day PERFECT
- He is super organized, very good with musical and logistical transitions, pays very close attention the guidance of the bride and groom, and his energy translates into an incredibly fun atmosphere for all of the guests

We got so many compliments on our wedding because of Jason - we would recommend him as the far-and-away best choice for a DJ in Minneapolis-St Paul!!!

Jason was fantastic to work with from day one. He is very flexible and accommodating. His prices are unbeatable! Do not be surprised when his quote is significantly less than other DJs (my venue required a decent drive outside of the Twin City area and Jason was more than willing to come to us!) when I first received the quote I was concerned he was "too cheap" and was questioning why. After my first conversation with Jason i decided to take a leap of faith and I am glad I did! He went above and beyond, he even purchased a song for one of my bridesmaids during the reception that she really wanted played. I highly recommend Jason as your wedding DJ!

If you want to have an absolute blast at your wedding reception, and work with a DJ who is professional, fun, and offers a great value, Jason with JPS Entertainment is your guy! He was prompt, personal, and helpful with all interactions regarding inquiry, booking, and planning details. His phone call the week of the wedding was very helpful and I knew we were in for a good time. He promptly introduced himself when the wedding party arrived to the reception and seemed excited to be there. He played our requested songs, had a great mix of the varieties of music we enjoy, and kept the party going. I was most impressed at Jason's flexibility...we ended up starting speeches and dances a bit late (everyone was distracted by gorgeous views of the sunset from the balcony!), but Jason had no problem with that and even played a bit later than expected. Would most HIGHLY recommend Jason.

We needed a dj on short notice and found Jason online, all the reviws were positive so we went with him. I am very glad we did his fees are very very reasonable he responds very quickly to emails and everyone had a blast, I would use him again in a heartbeat, he did everything we asked and more very professional!

Simply put, Jason is awesome! We hired him to DJ our reception after a difficult search for someone that we had complete confidence in to to create a fun and entertaining atmosphere for our guests. His goal is to make your day as easy and low stress as possible. His service and price blew us away. Jason is very kind, easy going and professional. He's very adaptive and knows how to read the crowd. I actually felt bad because 3/4 or our guests went outside for cigars and scotch around 10pm leaving him virtually abandoned but when I looked in he was keeping all the remaining guests fully entertained.
Our reception was a hit and I give a large portion of the credit to Jason. We had so much fun and would recommend his services to anyone. Look no further. This is your Guy.

Jason was great to work with at a wedding I photographed at Mayowood Stone Barn in Rochester, MN. He announced everything perfectly and stuck with the timeline we agreed on. He also had EVERYONE dancing all night long- from the young to the old- that floor was packed! Can't wait to work with Jason again!

We used Jason for a dance we had with our large group of Girl Scouts - Jason is well-liked among the girls. He has appropriate music for this age-group and fun games that they thoroughly enjoyed. Jason's services are a great value. We have used JPS Entertainment for 3 years and each time he's been highly energetic; he's really fun!

Jason was the DJ at our wedding and all I have to say is he was very easy to work with, from the point we first met Jason he was so helpful, not only helping us with the entertainment portion of our event, he also helped us find a Photographer, plus a person to do the cake (Taste of love bakery) Our special day was absolutely stress free, we didn't have to worry about anything. He made sure our guest knew when everything was going to happen from the cake cutting, to the grand march, plus he work professionally with all the vendors so everyone was on the same page. Plus kept the dance floor packed the whole night. For what he bring to the party I would tell anyone looking for a good dj to book JPS Entertainment right away.

JPS Entertainment did a wonderful job DJing our wedding! He was very willing to accommodate to what we wanted and made sure our guests had a great time! He added in wonderful ideas he had and incorporated everything we wanted as well. He was less expensive than other DJs we found, and he was everything we hoped for! He even got out on the dance floor with us! We loved his service and he was great about getting back to us in a timely manner with answers to our questions. It has been 6 months since our wedding and our friends and family are still talking about how great our DJ was! I would definitely recommend him as a DJ for your wedding!

We loved this DJ! When dealing with all the ridiculous prices because we were getting married, Jason was the only one who didn't jack up his prices. He was very affordable, accommodating to our needs, and just a great DJ. The flow of our reception went great, and he was just a nice guy! We would definitely recommend him. He cares more about actually being a good DJ and pleasing the couple than he does about making money.

Working with Jason was very easy and stress-free! Communication was fast and easy anytime we had questions, and he made sure to reach out to us as well if he had a question or an idea that could help us. Jason is very outgoing and friendly and can connect with anyone-he also comes with a lot of experience which was really helpful! I really cannot say enough good things about his business!

If you need a DJ for anything, I seriously mean this, have JPS Entertainment. Jason does a phenomenal job. We had him for our wedding and he was so great! Super flexible, played good sings, he does an amazing job. You also get an amazing deal through him too. He is defibitely worth more than what he charges!

If you are looking for a DJ you should book Jason!! Jason did our reception and ceremony music. I had A LOT of requests regarding the ceremony, and Jason easily accommodated them! He even sent me digital files to make sure he had the right version of the songs. Jason was excellent at communicating with me before the wedding and has a digital form that you fill out on his website for your preferences and song requests. We had a lot of country on our playlist and the guests seemed to clear the floor when it was put on. Because of this he easily adapted to what the guests wanted and kept people on the dance floor all night! He has a great personality and was a lot of fun!! He really should charge more for his services because he is way better than other DJs I have had at friends weddings who charged 1000+! He truly wants your day to be perfect.

My wife told me it was my job to pick the DJ for our wedding, and she said that I couldn't have done a better job. We could not believe the level of service that Jason provided for our wedding. Jason communicated with us throughout the night so that everyone was on the same page, was friendly, professional, and had his pulse on what people wanted to dance to. He started playing a song that cleared the dance floor, within 15 seconds he had taken it off and started playing a different song, getting all of my friends' and relatives' feet dancing again. He was around the same price as much lower quality DJs, so if you can get him I would highly recommend.

Jason was our DJ for a dance we had for our Girl Scout troops in Minnetonka. The dance was a hit as was Jason. - the girls had a blast! Jason provided all the equipment, music, and games too! It was a lot of fun and a great way for our troops to connect. We will definitely hire Jason again!

We met Jason in person about 6 months before our wedding and exchanged emails and phone calls leading up to the wedding. Each interaction he was amazing to work with and we feel like he got to know us. When the wedding came around, everything was flawless and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a DJ. We even threw him a curve ball the day before before when we decided to do the Chicago Bulls introduction with our wedding party and he absolutely nailed it! His price is better than anyone else we looked at and he kept the party rocking until Midnight. What more can you ask for?!? Thanks again Jason for helping to make our wedding the best day of ours lives.

They seem to understand how to make an event flow smoothly, we were told how he does business and he did everything and more to make our special day memorable. He also went above and beyond what we expected when we had a certain song we wanted from a local artist for our first dance, we didn't know how to get it and he emailed the band and the band gave it to him. Also the day of our event the place we were having our wedding was taking down the tables for the dance and he was helping the catering crew with clean up, even our photographer said this DJ knows what's going on.

Highly recommend, Jason was fantastic. We had a couple West African and Persian songs we wanted played and he helped us make it happen, plus he kept everyone on the dance floor all night!! Not to mention he's just a super nice guy and easy to work with. Excellent service and excellent price!

Jason was AMAZING. We had so many guests during and after the event telling us the had so much fun dancing and that our DJ was awesome! He kept our friends and family out on the dance floor for hours! He kept the event organized, which was great!! You could tell that he was having a good time!! Awesome DJ

Jason was perfect for our us! My husband and I had the goal of making our reception as fun and light-hearted as possible, and Jason delivered. He was on board with all of our *non-traditional* plans, and even took the initiative of suggesting a game that he thought we might love, which we did! Race Around the Room turned out to be a lot of fun for us and our guests. The dance floor was hopping all night long, and Jason even included a touching last dance for us. My only concern is that each song played for about 30 seconds too long for my taste, but considering how bumping the party was, I don't think anyone minded. Jason is definitely a great find, and well worth his fee.

Jason was high energy, super fun and easy to work with. He set up a Skype session before the wedding since we weren't able to meet up in person. His prices are hard to beat and he did a great job keeping the dance floor full; he also announced things throughout the night (Dinner, First Dance, Cake Cutting, Etc.). Jason did the music and setup a microphone for us to use during our ceremony too. I would definitely recommend him.

JPS Entertainment came highly recommended to us by our very experienced wedding photographer, as they had worked together previously. His pricing is very competitive compared to other vendors we had looked into. After meeting with Jason prior to the event and discussing the details we got a glimpse into his professionalism and flexibility. Use of his website provided an easy way to remotely provide a template for how we wanted our reception. When it came time for that to occur JPS was spot on! He worked within our playlist but also added to it seamlessly. Throughout the reception Jason displayed his professionalism and energy and reaffirmed how great of a choice it was to go with him!

Jason did a wonderful job at our wedding in august! It was incredibly hot it rained and our reception turn out was not what we had hoped for. But jason maintained a positive and upbeat attitude. This DJ did everything he said he would. He listened to us and then worked with us very well. He provided a nice set up with music and was very professional. His clothes were appropriate for a wedding. He had no signage to promote his business.

Jason is very responsive and professional to work with! He has all the songs you need, great playlists, and is willing to accommodate any song requests you have! He help with microphone/speaker needs at our outdoor vineyard wedding and our needs for speeches. He announces the wedding party for grand march, and kept the excitement going all night. He had some fun options for the special dances. All I remember is dancing the night away and having the time of our lives! The best part is, he was more affordable than anyone else we looked at!

An extremely easy going person. Made it very easy to ask questions and make suggestions. His website could use some work, but it didn't matter much since we spoke directly with him. We really enjoyed having Jason as our DJ. His planning style is very laid back but efficient. He has a really great planning sheet that you can work on throughout your planning process and he executed it perfectly. He was also able to provide the sound for our ceremony. His prices can’t be beat and we are happy we chose JPS Entertainment.

Nightmare of a DJ

I booked this dj January of 2020. I was told I would get a link online to pick my songs. It took 9 months before I was able to get the link. Link disappeared after he had told me he could no longer afford his website. I emailed him all of my songs. I emailed him a few times a few months before the wedding received a few short replies. The one o received two weeks before my wedding was very concerning but I put faith in him:

Thanks for your email, so first I don’t know how to be an auctioneer, but if any of your guest know how to they are welcomed to do that. As for set up time it usually take me about an hour to set up. Sorry once again for the limited communication, after thinking really hard on this business and with Covid I have decided not to continue djing. I am still planning on djing your wedding so don’t worry ok.

Day of wedding comes…. He never showed up to my wedding! I showed up to my reception at 6pm and they were not there. They were supposed to be set up at 430 pm. I had to call and text and email them. They reached out to me stating they were in accident. Now I understand that happens but if you were in a wreck why wouldn’t you try contacting the bride right away??? It is about an two hour drive to Lanesboro from the cities so he should have had plenty of time to try and contact me or gather my information. Instead I was told he didn’t have my phone. He had my number in the contract and my email. He could have sent a message. We were lucky enough to find someone to fill in very last minute!

Worst experience

We booked Jason and JPS Entertainment in May of 2019 for our October of 2020 wedding. We met Jason in person and he seemed wonderful, I had explained in person that with how far away our date was I wouldn’t contact him till a few months/month before the wedding which I thought was reasonable. After signing his contract, and paying $100 to secure our date, we were all set (or so we thought)! The personal check we sent with the contract was cashed within a few business days.

Fast forward through the start of the pandemic, I ended up reaching out to Jason via email about a month/six weeks before our wedding. He didn’t respond so a week later I text him as this was his preferred method of contact previously, and a week after that he still had not responded to the email, or the text. I called a few days after sending the text and reached his voicemail which specifically states he prefers to text. After another few days I was worried. So I started looking at his social media and noticed he was active on there. I reached out first via Facebook message, he was actively on Facebook, and saw the message. He did not reply. At this point I felt angry as he was ignoring me. As a last resort I reached out on Instagram. He responded that he was busy getting his life back together after some medical issues (not Covid related) and asked if we had sent a contract to him.

I was mad at this point, what do you mean you don’t know if we sent a contract? Yes we did, and I explained how I felt ignored and was concerned. He stated he was not ignoring me that he’s not “glued to his phone” - mind you he was active on social media non-stop... and saw my messages but never responded. He explained that he only reaches out to brides SEVEN DAYS before their wedding. I explained that was not in his contract, and rather than ignoring me he could have communicated that to me. I mean- I booked over 17 months in advance, why would I wait till the week of my wedding before finalizing anything with the DJ?

After all this- and other messages he sent, I asked him to send my $100 payment back. He never sent the payment back.

If I could leave 0 stars I would.. We booked Jason about a month ago to dj our wedding. My fiancé got an email from him a couple days ago from him saying that he hadn’t checked his schedule before he took our booking and had a show already booked for our wedding day. How does someone schedule a show without checking their schedule?? Very unprofessional. This experience has made me sick to my stomach and I legitimately hope that he never gets work again.

Jason did a decent job as a DJ for our wedding but he needs to work on his professionalism. He got in a verbal argument with a guest and decided to take out his anger on my wife and I after the reception. He needs to understand that the bride and groom can't control the actions of 250 guests. And according to the other guy in the argument, Jason started the confrontation by being rude when the guest tried to make a song request. Following the reception, Jason ranted hysterically to my wife and I about how this was the worst wedding he had ever attended and that he never wanted to hear from either of us again. He ended up making my wife (the bride) cry because of his hysteria. All of this was over a few insults muttered between him and one other random person at the wedding. Out of all the people to cause drama on your wedding night you'd never expect it to be the DJ. I'd never hire him again.
