Liz was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!! To this day, so many of our guests still talk about our ceremony, and that is entirely because of her. When people think back on our wedding, one of the first things they mention isn’t the reception or the party, and talk about the the ceremony itself. We had countless guests tell us it was one of the most meaningful, personal, and memorable ceremonies they had ever witnessed. That is such a testament to Liz’s talent and the care she puts into her work!
She took the time to meet with us beforehand, learn our story, and truly get to know us as a couple. It never felt like she was reading a generic script. Instead, every word felt intentional, heartfelt, and unique to us. You could tell she genuinely cared about understanding who we were and what our relationship meant, and that care came through in every part of the ceremony.
Liz has such a warm presence and an incredible speaking voice that immediately draws everyone in. She created the perfect balance of emotion, laughter, sincerity, and love.
Beyond creating an unforgettable ceremony, Liz also helped guide us through the marriage license process and made sure everything was signed and completed correctly. After the wedding, she mailed our marriage certificate to the county for us and then mailed it back to us once it was processed, which was one less thing for us to worry about during such a busy and exciting time. She also sent us a beautiful keepsake package that included a copy of the ceremony script she had written. Being able to read through those words again after the wedding was incredibly special and is something we will treasure forever. These thoughtful touches perfectly reflect who Liz is, someone who genuinely cares about her couples and goes above and beyond in every aspect of her work.
Of all the amazing memories from our wedding day, the ceremony remains one of our favorites, and we have Liz to thank for that. We are so grateful for the time, care, and heart she poured into our day!
And bonus points! She perfectly timed moving out of the way for our first kiss for our photographers!! 😋

Liz did such an amazing job at my wedding! I gave Liz a very lengthy love story for the ceremony, but she put everything into her own words beautifully. I had a bunch of my guests loving the ceremony because of how unique it was. I really appreciate getting a copy of the ceremony script to save for my memories as well. Definitely an amazing gift and never expected my officiant to gift us with something so meaningful. She was very well spoken the whole ceremony and really appreciated it! -

Liz was beyond fabulous as our wedding officiant! Almost every guest we talked to after the ceremony commented on what a wonderful job she did, and how it was apparent that she loves uniting two people in marriage. Liz took the time to really get to know us as a couple, and our love story. She then incorporated it into our ceremony. It was as if she knew us for years. We really appreciated the personal, loving feel Liz brought to our ceremony, and our guests loved hearing the story of our relationship up to our wedding day. Liz arrived at the venue in plenty of time to check in with my husband at the venue, and with me in my bridal dressing area. She wanted to let us know she was there, and to check and see to see how we were both feeling. So sweet! We could not have selected a better officiant to marry us. We were married on 11/2/24 and had Liz O'Brien as our officiant. In May we reached out to her and 2 other Officiants. We knew from this initial phone conversation with Liz that she was the right choice. Liz proved on the wedding day that we made the correct choice. Liz gathered some information about us in advance, how and where we met and who played a key role in introducing us, along with details of our engagement. Liz is exceptionally professional and very personal. Her words are powerful and her presence is peaceful.
She took the time to get to know our story down to every last detail. When meeting with us to begin planning our ceremony, Liz interviewed us to learn who we are as a couple and as individuals within our relationship. The questions she asked us during our meeting were deep, meaningful, and thought provoking. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to answer each question, some of them being questions we had never been asked before, by others or even ourselves. She listened intently, took notes, and provided a comfortable atmosphere that allowed our thoughts to flow freely.
Liz wrote an absolutely beautiful ceremony for us. Encompassing all that she had learned about us, telling our story, keeping our guests engaged. We were so moved by the amount of attention and effort she put into making our special day unforgettable. I teared up during her speech before we even got to our vows. She is a brilliant public speaker and it shows in her delivery. She was not only a foundational part of our wedding day, but a highlight as well.
Liz mailed our signed marriage license for us and it was less than 10 days from our wedding that we received confirmation from the county clerks office. She also mailed us a copy of the ceremony so we could keep it as a special momento of our wedding day.
We are so grateful for Liz as our officiant and couldn’t recommend her enough. -

Liz exceeded our wildest expectations. Leading up to the wedding, Liz was a beacon of calm amongst the various vendors we were working and planning with. She asked some questions right after we hired her with a very clear timeline for when she needed answers by so we knew when we needed to get back to her. Other than that, any time we had questions for her she responded very quickly. Before the ceremony, Liz checked in on each of us to make sure we were ready and to pick up our vow books so she could hold them during the ceremony. The ceremony itself was gorgeous. Liz helped us stay focused and centered on our love and commitment to each other. She also did a wonderful job telling our love story. After the ceremony, several of our friends told us that it was the most touching wedding they had ever attended. A few even asked for her info so they could hire her for their weddings and vow renewals.
Tldr; hire Liz! It will truly be the best money you spend on your wedding :) -

Her telling of our story created a beautiful ceremony that spoke us and to our guests.
Liz’s knowledge of weddings (because she does so many a year) was a plus for designing our ceremony as well as helping us make decisions about the flow of the ceremony. For example, after discussing it with Liz, we decided against a photo op in the middle of the ceremony because it would disrupt the attention of the guests from being in the moment during our unplugged ceremony. A couple weeks before the wedding my husband wanted to see the ceremony laid out word for word while I wanted to be surprised by the details. Liz worked directly with him, answering questions and sharing details. This was great for helping him feel comfortable with the content as well as working to the level of detail each of us needed. Her telling of our story created a beautiful ceremony that spoke us and to our guests. -

We recently had our micro wedding in Phoenix at the Wrigley Mansion. Because it was a small affair we had the luxury of having every detail the way we wanted it - including our officiant! As soon as we visited Liz's website, we knew she was the one for us. In a sea of options, Liz is a gem - perfectly devoted to you & your occasion. She took time to meet us over Zoom and then sent us a detailed email with questions about our relationship. We opted to do personal vows and then used a combination of the example vows she provided to write our "I do" portion. The day of the wedding, I was feeling anxiety about doing personal vows - I wanted to be in the moment and felt that if I were trying to recall my vows, I'd not be. Liz was available and empathetic when I reached out over email and we decided to skip personal vows. There was plenty of material in our ceremony AND we got to enjoy every moment. Liz managed to craft a message so personal that our friends thought we had written it - Gorgeous words, we loved the ring ceremony & we'll forever be grateful. Thank you Liz!! -

I can not possibly say enough great things about Liz and the huge part she played in making our day so special. From the initial inquiry to the ceremony, Liz was beyond kind and accommodating. Although we never met in person before the wedding, our ceremony was completely unique to us and our relationship. Throughout the entire evening we had guests commenting on what a beautiful job Liz had done and even had one guest ask if we were related to Liz because of how well she knew our story. We found Liz via her website and after her prompt response, we knew she would be the perfect officiant. We wanted something non religious and Liz offered a wide range of ideas and helpful tips that ended up making our ceremony perfect. Even though we only chatted over email, it seemed like she was with us on our entire relationship journey. She captured our love in a beautiful way that even members of our family recognized and appreciated.
She put in a huge amount of work to prepare for the ceremony, be with us on the day, and then promptly filed our license afterward. She also mailed us a keepsake copy of her wedding script.

Our day wouldn’t be the same without Liz!
From the beginning, Liz exceeded my expectations. My husband and I had a very small and last minute wedding, with about a week to plan the details. Being a first time bride and having limited time, Liz was a rock throughout and responded quickly and made me feel at ease.
The ceremony was exactly what we wanted and it was intimate and personal. Our family and friends continue to say how lovely Liz was and how much she contributed to the vibe of our ceremony.

Liz was fantastic to work with! We knew we wanted a non-religious ceremony and she worked with us to make our dream ceremony a reality. We wanted to make our ceremony unique and even wanted to include a couple of quotes from our favorite TV shows and she was more than accommodating! We did a destination wedding so we met her over Zoom and filled out a questionnaire beforehand. Liz patiently and thoroughly answered all of our questions throughout the process. She does keep the ceremony script itself a secret until the day of. We were a bit nervous about this, but it turned out to be such a lovely surprise on our wedding day to hear how she wove together our story as a couple. We couldn't be more happy with her services! -

She met with me and my NOW husband several times to learn about us and our journey together. We truly felt a connection with her. I could not have asked for a better officiant for my wedding. I got married on March 20, 2021 after having to push it out from October 2020 and Liz was there for me all the way. She was able to completely reschedule to my new wedding date and stayed in communication as we came closer to the wedding date. She was incredibly helpful in guiding me through what my options were for the type of ceremony we were hoping for (we chose more of a non-religious route focusing our message on love). Liz also understood that I was too nervous to read my own vows aloud in front of everyone and she knew exactly what to do to make our ceremony so special and memorable. All of our guests kept telling us how much they enjoyed Liz's message and delivery (one of my bridesmaids even thought she should start voicing for audiobooks because her voice is so soothing!) Even after the ceremony, Liz was a major help in guiding us with the next steps and what happens once she submits the marriage license to the state. I found Liz to be an absolute gem and I would highly recommend her for your wedding. She is the perfect person to invite and share in your special day. -

Liz was absolutely amazing!
My husband and I found Liz through Weddingwire and had the chance to watch her perform a ceremony through a wedding video we viewed. From the moment she began speaking, we knew that she was the one for us. Liz has such a positive, loving attitude and you can feel the passion she has for this industry. Liz met my husband and I for our first meeting at a coffee shop and just wanted to chat about our relationship, our wedding plans and what we had envisioned for our big day. We left that meeting feeling totally confident and excited that she would be working with us on our special day. We met a few months before the wedding and she never failed to stay in contact with us, she sent us emails with different questions about our relationship and allowed us to pick the format we wanted for our ceremony from examples that she had previously used. This process was so effortless and easy. Unfortunately, after two years of wedding planning, our wedding fell during COVID and we had to drastically change our plans. We moved up our wedding by two weeks and cut our guest list to 10 people. We called all of our vendors to see if they would be willing to attend. Liz did not even hesitate for a second and said she would do absolutely anything to make this day perfect for us. She had our ceremony planned out and ready with two days notice and she walked us through it every step of the way. When the big day came, she was a calm and loving presence and made my husband and I feel at home. Her words were beautiful, meaningful and personal, as she had loads of details about our relationship mixed into her message. My husband and I wanted to say our own vows and she guided us with ease. During our personal vows, you could even see Liz tear up, which just goes to show how passionate she is about her job. On top of all this, she is an elegant and witty speaker and my family absolutely raved about her for months after the wedding. She is amazing, personable, loving, passionate and so much fun to work with...look no further, you have found the officiant for you. Thank you Liz for making our day so special.

Wedding in the Time of COVID-19
Due to COVID-19, our four-day Hindu wedding had to be postponed, but we still wanted to keep our original wedding weekend and do a short, entirely virtual civil service. We didn't exactly know how to go about it, but from the first moment, Liz was encouraging, personable, and accommodating. She spent considerable time "interviewing", helping, and coaching us over the phone and email, including calming us down when we accidentally signed our marriage license in blue, rather than black ink, as the instructions dictated - it was ok in the end. Together we put a short ceremony that was focused entirely on us and what we wanted. As a biracial couple, cultural sensitivity in bringing together two very different cultures over Zoom was paramount, but we didn't even have to explain this to Liz - she anticipated it and asked detailed and specific questions about appropriateness and cultural preferences. We were blown away by her awareness and appreciation of our unique family situation. In the end, our ceremony (with Liz on a tablet over FaceTime, and guests from 5 different countries on a laptop, over Zoom) was above and beyond what we could have imagined. The emotion Liz poured into the narrative that she told impressed and touched all our friends and family from both cultures.
Getting Liz to officiate the ceremony was the best decision. Thank you so much!!

We were married by Liz in November 2019. Liz did an amazing job at our ceremony, making it a wonderful experience for us and our guests. The time she took prior to the wedding to get to know us and our story made the message she provided at the ceremony so personal and so special for us. She made sure the ceremony was what we wanted, guiding us in putting it together, but allowing us to add our personalities as well. Liz adjusted quickly and seamlessly to some last-minute changes we made to the ceremony as well. Liz worked hand in hand with our wedding planner to ensure everything was on track and we were all on the same page prior to, and the day of the wedding.
Liz’s calm, kind demeanor and assurance she had everything under control made us both feel very at ease the day of the wedding. After the ceremony, we received so many compliments on how wonderful the ceremony was. We heard several times that guests thought we have known Liz for years based on her words during the ceremony, which speaks volumes about the care and preparation Liz put into making the ceremony about us.

Liz is wonderful and an absolute professional throughout the entire process before, during and after the wedding ceremony. We needed to find an officiant within a month of our ceremony (due to our process) and we were lucky enough that Liz was available! From our first meeting through email communications to the day of our wedding, Liz was simply amazing. She has a fantastic energy, and made sure that our ceremony was personal and heartfelt. We were able to customize the ceremony with a reading, our own vows, and a handfasting ceremony. Liz also had us answer some thought-provoking questions that allowed her to really personalize the ceremony. So many of our guests commented how much they loved her ceremony. It was so personal, some even asked how long we had known Liz! Exactly what we envisioned!
Liz was able to take what little information she had from us and transform it into exactly what we wanted. We wanted a wedding that simply highlighted the love of two people coming together. We met Liz the morning of the wedding, but it felt like we had already met because she had spent so much time working to get to know us to make sure our wedding ceremony was absolutely perfect. She works to make sure that her service is personalized to the couple, and she pay attention to the details that you tell her. She is incredibly adept at tuning into exactly what makes you as a couple click, which is impressive since we had only spoken over email! She is open-minded and compassionate to everyone's unique situations, which is exactly what we were looking for. She also operates at a great price, as well! It's clear to us that she genuinely loves officiating, and we couldn't have imagined a better ceremony. If we could get married again, we'd definitely have Liz officiate our wedding! -

Liz was great! She was so easy to work with. Efficient, organized, great customer service. On the day of the wedding I almost fainted before the ceremony. I've fainted before so I knew the feeling. Liz arrived and was so calm, we worked out a plan in case I thought I might faint during the ceremony, and it was no big deal. She handled it really well and did not escalate any emotions during a potentially tense moment. We got lots of compliments on our ceremony which is nice since we have families who belong to faith communities while my husband and I do not. Liz was a great choice and I'm so glad she was a part of our big day! -

We had a destination wedding with friends joining us from around the globe, different cultures and personalities, and we knew that we didn’t want a religious ceremony or anything that was OTT! After watching numerous online videos we found Liz and felt that her style suited our own. Our email communication was quick and easy from the start and after a single face-to-face meeting (we were travelling from the UK to Phoenix on a business trip), we felt we had made a life-long friend. From that point on, our communication with Liz was so good that it was one part of our destination wedding that was never of any concern. On our wedding day Liz was the consummate professional- reassuring, calm, in control of the ceremony and she spoke words and made magic that will stay with us forever. Our friends and family still comment that it was one of the most wonderful ceremonies that they have ever heard and at the time, asked us how long we had known Liz because she had such great insight into our relationship and us as people! Coming from Canada we were not able to meet with Liz before the big day but she made the process easy and stress free. Liz is very professional and designed a ceremony that not only was tailored towards us but contained specific details about our relationship that made it extra special. The day of the wedding she took initiative and talked not only to us (bride and groom) but she introduced herself to family members and guests. Liz was amazing from the beginning of our wedding planning to our ceremony! She is very professional, courteous, and thoughtful. When we were looking for officiates, we wanted someone who was spiritual, and not necessarily religious, who would allow for creativity and personalization with our vows and ceremony. We had numerous guests from out of town, and our goal of the ceremony was for them to know our love story and know us as a couple, and Liz did just that and more! We met with her a few times prior to the actual ceremony and on the ceremony day she did nothing but exceed our expectations. During our meetings with her, she interviewed us about our relationship and made us feel so comfortable during this whole process. We had family coming up to us after the ceremony telling us how beautiful and unique it all was! We did not want any religious affiliation with our wedding and Liz filled the ceremony with a script she wrote about us, a love quote that we chose and a wishing stone announcement (which was her idea and our family loved it!).
