Wonderful Experience!

Our experience with Lionel and team has been wonderful! He has showed up ready for every appointment and helped answer the many questions we had leading up to the big day. On the day, he was prompt, professional and funny! We had many comments on how great Lionel was. Highly recommend!

Best DJ Ever!!!

Wow! I hired Joyful Sound after looking through many, many reviews and they did not disappoint! Lionel is such a joy to work with. He is very professional and accommodating! He works really hard to make sure your special day goes smoothly. Before the wedding, we had a meeting to go over everything on my planning form and it went great. He had a lot of helpful suggestions and the way it turned out on my wedding day was perfect! All my guests loved the music. He accommodated my special requests to release tables for food by song. Which was so cute and I loved it! He found songs I really wanted but didn't have immediately available. I mean, he went above and beyond. He even had a special surprise send off for us at the end of the night! Plus, he's just such a nice person! It's so refreshing to work with someone who treats you like you're important and not just another job. Thank you so much! You helped make our wedding day perfect and just like we hoped it would be!

Absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

We had the pleasure of hiring Joyful Sound Entertainment for our big day, and we really couldn't be more thrilled with the experience that they provided. From the moment we made our booking, the entire team was incredibly professional and accommodating with the special touches we wanted to make the day special. They took the time to understand both of our musical preferences and the general vibe we wanted at our wedding, On the big day, the DJ was honestly spectacular. He seamlessly blended the songs we wanted with a healthy mix of songs that kept the dance floor hot the entire night. The way the DJ read the room flawlessly, which resulted in an electrifying atmosphere throughout our reception. From our perspective, the transitions were smooth, and the music that was used really engaged the entire party, which was definitely confirmed when our guests heaped compliments on the DJ, his music selections, and his ability to keep people on the dance floor having fun! Fantastic and Remarkable

Last year I hired Allen from Joyful Sound Entertainment to perform at my wedding, and I was blown away by his performance. The music he played was fantastic and kept the dance floor packed all night long. he took song requests from guests and seamlessly incorporated them into the playlist.

In terms of professionalism, DJ Allen was top-notch. He arrived on time and was well-dressed. He communicated well with us and other vendors, and handled any unexpected issues with calm and professionalism.

The quality of his equipment was also impressive. The sound system was clear and well-balanced, and the lighting added to the overall atmosphere of the event.

Overall, I highly recommend DJ Allen from Joyful Sound Entertainment for any event. He exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding day unforgettable.

Excellent experience!

I just wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the DJ "Lionel" From Joyful Sound Entertainment at my wedding. Overall, I was really impressed with the DJ's performance and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding DJ.

Firstly, Lionel AKA DJ C-low played a great mix of music that kept everyone dancing all night long. They did an excellent job of reading the crowd and playing songs that got people up on the dance floor. It was clear that they had put a lot of thought and effort into crafting the perfect playlist for the evening.

In addition, Lionel was very professional and easy to work with. They were responsive to our requests and worked closely with us to make sure that everything went smoothly. They also did a great job of making announcements throughout the night, such as introducing the wedding party and letting everyone know when it was time for speeches or the first dance.

Overall, I would highly recommend Lionel AKA DJ C-low from Joyful Sound Entertainment to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. They were professional, easy to work with, and played great music that kept everyone dancing all night long.

Everything was great!!

"After the year that 2020 left us with, we know that when our wedding came around our friends and loved ones were ready to celebrate, and most importantly they were ready to dance. From our first meeting with Lionel we knew that he was the perfect person to facilitate this party. Lionel has an impressive background with many trusted years in the wedding industry and it shows! Lionel was able to navigate our ceremony into the reception with ease. I never left the dance floor, and Lionel was the reason. He knew our guests were ready to party and the party did not disappoint. There was one particular song "Forever Swing by Tucka" that made the floor erupt! Lionel took care of our guests all night and gave them a night they’ll never forget."

Easy, responsive, and extremely fun

Lionel and the whole Joyful Sound Entertainment crew were an absolute delight to work with. Before talking with them, I felt a little lost an overwhelmed about who to select as my wedding DJ. DJ prices seemed all over the place, and I didn't really know exactly what I wanted in a DJ. Fortunately, after some aimless internet searches, I got lucky and sent a message to Joyful Sound Entertainment. My first impression from talking with Lionel was that he was a true professional and would be a calming and positive force in all the craziness that goes into wedding planning. After interacting with Lionel a few times, I was sure that he really cared about making my wedding a special night and providing his services at a fair price. He was attentive, responsive, and easy to work with, so I would definitely give Joyful Sound Entertainment 5 stars for the pre-wedding aspect. Then came the wedding. Lionel and his team were well prepared for the day, they created a great cocktail hour/dinner playlist that included influence from us and just enough crowd pleasers to get the night started right, they interacted with the crowd to get everyone involved, and brought the exact amount of energy that we wanted to the dancing portion of the wedding. It was truly the best night of my life, and I am so grateful to Lionel and his team for making the DJ portion of my wedding a low stress, reasonably priced, and extremely fun. You will not regret hiring Joyful Sound Entertainment.

DJ for my Winter wedding (12/8/18)

I had the pleasure of booking Lionel for my wedding last month.

I had received a quote from a third party website that was lower than the actual normal rate, and Lionel was professional and kind enough to honor that quote for my wedding day. His normal quote is also very reasonable and a great deal.

Every step of the way Lionel has been responsive and attentive, meeting with me when possible to go over wedding music and how we wanted the wedding to play out. There were a few songs I had wanted played that weren’t listed in his playlist, and he was able to with no complaints use those songs for my wedding and processional music.

Everyone continues to rave about how amazing the wedding was and all the dancing we shared due to Lionel playing both requested and popular music. Lionel was full of energy and worked to get the dancing going at the beginning of the night, which set the mood for the rest of the evening.

I am very happy I went with Lionel and I don’t think anyone would regret choosing him to share their big day with!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Joyful Sound Entertainment for their outstanding service! We hired Lionel to be our DJ for our wedding reception & we couldn’t have asked for anyone better! He was very personable, had fun ideas & walked us through what we could expect for our big night! He’s very knowledgeable too since he’s been DJ’ing for a while so his level of experience really helped us figure out what we wanted. Lionel was excellent! Even when the crowd started to thin out (the wedding reception was 5PM-12AM), he continued to fulfill his contracted time. We were in a hotel setting and had people who weren’t a part of the ceremony pop in and join in the fun. Line dancing and a combination of great music will get them every time! Thank you for your professionalism and we look forward to working with you again when there’s a need for awesome music and entertainment.

We had a last minute emergency with our DJ and Lionel and his fabulous team was able to jump in and get everything going smoothly. I was able to convey my information, wants and needs and he came through exceptionally. My father was also our in between person so that I was able to focus on my wedding day. Everything went without a hitch and they were the best at finding the songs we needed (even obscure indie songs!) I would highly highly recommend their services to the brides out there!

Lionel and his MC did a fantastic job at our wedding. It was important to me that our reception be a great party where people danced and partied and that is exactly what it was! He played a good mix of music so that both the older and younger ones enjoyed themselves. Many people have said it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. Two thumbs up!!! Thanks Lionel!

The DJ’s we had were absolutely wonderful! We were going to use a family member as the DJ, but problems developed only a month out. I reached out to Lionel and I was fortunate to find out there was still availability for our Sunday wedding date. The coordination leading up to the wedding was awesome. The bride is a music major and had each and every song preplanned as to how she wanted it. Lionel was able to get each and every song! The music for the ceremony went perfectly as planned. The reception was awesome! When things started to get a little behind due to the post ceremony pictures taking too long, I was immediately notified so I could let the bride know. We got back on track and the rest of the evening went smooth.

Lionel was great to work with. He was always answering my questions promptly and checking in through the process. He also made a trip to my venue to make sure he was prepared. My ceremony music somehow got messed up but I truly believe it was a mistake and Lionel definitely made up for it at the reception, my guests loved the music he played and how involved they were. My dance floor was full from start to end.

My husband and I were looking for someone who would be able to play both Hispanic and American music. We were about ready to give up when we heard about Lionel, and when we called him we knew he would be perfect. He was great about communicating with us at any time of the day, and he even set up a site for us to plan out our wedding timeline. He was of great help! He also traveled 2 hours to be here, and his fee was better than fair, I really could not believe it. Lionel and Josiha made our wedding absolutely incredible! All our friends and family congratulated us and thanked us for having them. I couldn't imagine anything better!

Lionel did an incredible job of both DJing and managing our event. He was very professional and went above and beyond. He was very prepared for the event and if he didn't know something prior to the wedding he would ask to make sure he got it right. He wanted to make sure he had everything the way we wanted it. The music was awesome and he knew just what we would like and what would get the crowd dancing. Everyone at the reception loved him and I keep getting compliments!

It's hard to find the right DJ that is reliable, understanding and professional. Especially, a DJ that is on time. Joyful Sound Entertainment is the DJ, you would want to book. I booked them for my wedding. They understood what I wanted and made it happen. I was pleased at the amazing job they did. They are an experience company. I was so blessed to have Joyful Sound!! As a bride I had enough to worry about without having to think about the music and my MC!! Lionel was amazing- very connected to what was going on and very prepared. I would get married again just to have him DJ for me again!!

PS he had a great collection of everything you would want to hear- from modern to old school to cultural music. It was fantastic!!

Lionel is very flexible and great with helping you plan everything out to suit your needs. I was 100% satisfied with my wedding, we had a blast. People that you think wouldn't dance, danced!!

Started off a little slow. Was more of the guests at the wedding than anything else. As the night went on though got a lot better. Super easy to work with and made everything easier how organized it was putting the music and the event timeline together

Lionel was great and easy to work with. everything ran smoothly with our event, he played great music that kept people on the dance floor and mixed in some of the requests that you made for yourself and guests. It was an overall great experience. definitely would recommend!

The DJ was very good! He was timely, professional and had good sound. The guests had a wonderful time. The only complaint I received was the desire for a wider variety of music because the crowd was diverse.

The Joyful Sound crew did a wonderful job bringing our event to life. They were very responsive to any changes we needed to make at the last minute. They were very friendly and professional from start to finish. I would recommend them to anyone!

Lionel and his assistant were great, very friendly and interactive. We had a few minor hiccups, but nothing that we couldn't over come. Lionel played some great music and paid attention to the type of songs that were being danced to and kept with that genre. I would use them again.

Lionel is a wonderful person and definitely tries to keep the party going. However, he seemed to be very unorganized. When announcing my bridal party, he skipped half of them, he skipped half the speeches, and had a hard time with the specific music choices (entrance, exit, and bouquet toss). Though he was suppose to be the MC that kept things moving along, I felt he seemed more lost than the rest of us. I enjoyed his presence, but I wish he had been more prepared and organized.
