We had the absolute best experience with Erika from Joy & Photo! From the very beginning, she was professional and so easy to work with. Erika made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and guided us quickly with the small amount of time we had. She wasn’t trying to rush us or check off a box of basic shots. She was invested in telling our story, not just taking pictures. In the small amount of time she made sure to listen, adjust and create photos that reflected us.

Fantastic experience from start to finish!
My then-Fiancee and now-wife booked our wedding photography & videography through Joy. The phone calls to set up the service and talk through pricing and promotions was efficient and effortless. In the planning phase, the Joy rep was able to fully answer all of our questions and even get us an online promotion applied to our service!
Fast forward to several days before our wedding, the Photographer: Catherine, and
Videographer: Sara, were responsive to communication and easy to work with, making what could be a stressful time super easy.
On the day of, both Sara and Catherine were prompt and prepared. They were super easy to work with, decisive and communicative without being overbearing toward anyone, and quite honestly were very good at not only staging photos/videos, but keeping us relatively on schedule for each of the big wedding events within the day!
We also received the photos well before the quoted time frame, and we couldn't be happier! They are beautiful and a wonderful capture of our day.
Looking forward to the video once it's done being made!

I would HIGHLY recommend Joy Photo & Video! We just finished our services for our 5/25/25 wedding in San Antonio, TX with photographer, Catherine, and Videographer, Sara! We got an awesome rate for both. Joy P&V made every step of the process EASY and made installments stretch — they reached out frequently & had us fill out a timeline, which made doing our own, personal timeline a BREEZE because the template had every important moment set up and ready to just fill out. They connected us with a photographer and videographer from our city and gave us their contact information to reach out. We opted to not have a day-of-coordinator at our wedding, but we felt like we had one because the photographer and videographer kept to the schedule and gave us reminders throughout the evening. We are so happy to have worked with this company, and specifically Sara & Catherine!! We can’t wait to get our photos and videos

Rain or Shine, Junior & Carter and King for the win!!!
Photographer, Junior Deffault and his assistant Carter, and videographer King from Joy Photo and Video were ON IT! From the moment we got connected a few weeks before the wedding, they took time to get to know me & Peter, hear our vision, understand we had complete trust in them to handle the job and discuss logistics and timeline well in advance and at our convenience. Everyone made themselves available & were flexible when we made a change to a key location 1-week out. They were early, prepared, and so high energy and collaborative with me and my bridesmaids, Peter and his family, our guests. They were welcoming to feedback & direction, and we told them to try to get lots of group shots and candids. Hotel Palomar is in the heart of Center City & traffic can be brutal. They left enough time to get all the main shots before departure and hustled to get to church when we were all starting to feel pressed for time. My room didn't have a spot to hang the dress, but they literally Mcguyver'd it so smoothly and got gorgeous shots and still photos of the details. The First Look with my dad was great and they made the entire experience special and easy to navigate, especially because a surprise feels high stakes. Having 2 people cater to all the angles made us feel like we were really being pampered; they were so efficient. At the church we captured a bunch of really nice family portraits. When we arrived with the bridal party at 3rd & Walnut it had begun to rain. Between sun showers and dry moments, Junior made the most of the landscape and helped us get tons of group photos with historic and colorful backgrounds. They helped me with my veil and train on my dress like complete gentlemen and professionals, let me preview pictures in between to validate me throughout the process and ensure I was satisfied and capturing our vision. The weather and traffic were so questionable and they were positive, super fast moving [loved their sense of urgency to capture each moment and maximize the potential of the poses] and were super hardworking. When we encountered bothersome tourists in the middle of Broad Street that conflicted with our poses, they kept their cool (way more than me) and were extremely patient, courteous & polite to ensure we got the best shots we had wanted. They were literally repositioning furniture back at the hotel to capture different benefits of the space. They stuck around a bit later after the dances and toasts just to make sure we got the expanse of the space we had access to. It was such a team effort and they worked together really well with Videographer, King, who was also very polite, genuine and proactive. We got so many compliments from our wedding party & family about how friendly they were. On a potentially stressful day, their positive demeanor and high energy matched with an eye for capturing a great moment or look, made us feel so relaxed, present for all the little moments, and truly taken care of. The process of working with Joy Photo & Video was easy with lots of texts to keep things simple. It was great once we were assigned our artists and they did a wonderful job managing our expectations. We thought the experience was a breeze and certainly a great value for all the versatility we ended up needing on the big day.

Thomas with Joy Photo and Video made the entire wedding so special for us! He made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera, created unique and fun poses, and was so detail oriented. Our guests commented on how they noticed him everywhere, catching all the small details, but never once felt he was in the way or a disturbance. He was so kind, didn’t get frustrated when we were a bit behind schedule, and helped us feel confident all night long.
Our original goal for the wedding was to suppose local vendors since my husband and I were born and raised in the LA area. When we found Joy Photo through Instagram, we were a bit hesitant to book with a nation-wide company. Our first intro call went well and Markanthony gave us so much confidence in the company.
The “group welcome call” was a bit misleading as there were another 20 or so couples on the same zoom call with us, when we thought we’d be alone. We shortly realized that the call makes the company so much more efficient as they were able to answer questions from couples we hadn’t even thought of. The team was responsive to all calls, texts, and emails, and made us feel so secure as we approached the day.
We highly recommend Thomas and Joy Photo and Video and cannot wait to see the final shots!

Our photographer was Roberto, who was amazing. He took a ton of time arranging us and our guests in the group photos to make sure everything looked perfect. Jeremie was amazing!!!! I had a small ceremony and larger reception and I had asked if he could put together a small clip of the ceremony to show at our reception. I told him if it wasnt possible, don’t worry about it. It’s a big ask. HE CAME THROUGH! It was AMAZING!!! The guest at the reception got to see a little and feel like they were a small part of it. Chris was our photographer for our wedding in Orlando, FL and he was amazing!!! Working with joy photo and video has been an amazing experience and they made the process a breeze.

Mr. Silva and Mr. Spendlove with Joy Photograohy were so much fun to work with at our January 18th Utah wedding! They were professional, organized, and enthusiastic throughout the planning and actual day. There was a snowstorm to travel in on the wedding day and freezing cold weather during some of the photos, but they were always smiling and never complained. It looked like they were enjoying the day with us! The bride and groom loved planning and carrying out the wedding day with them. We’re excited to see all the pictures and footage!

Wonderful Service!
I enjoyed my time with Joy. We had several planning conversations, they covered every detail of my photo and video desires, they were punctual, transparent, and communicated well. I am VERY much a detailed person, and I painstakingly asked for specifics in my videos and they did just what I asked. I would book them again if I needed to!

I loved using Joy photo and video and used both of their services. The people they sent out were super nice, arrived early, and were easy to work with. I am also satisfied with the media I got back. I recommend for weddings.

Great price and peace of mind
Great communication. Loved being able to have all my pictures. Not just the editted ones. The video was amazing. I cry every time I see it. They did an amazing job. The photographer and videographer were able to tell us what to do and get some great shots. I had peace of mind that if one of the photographer or videographer got sick, there would be someone as back up
