JOVEEvents absolutely made the night. From our very first intro call, we already knew we were going to vibe with DJ Jimmy. He was easygoing, attentive, and genuinely understood the kind of energy we wanted for our wedding.
From the very beginning, he set the tone with such a fun, upbeat energy that carried through the entire reception. What we really appreciated was how seamlessly he blended our must-play songs with his own picks, every transition felt natural, and somehow each song hit even better than the last. It never felt like a rigid playlist.. it felt like he was truly reading the room and keeping everyone engaged.
The night started with a great mix of oldies (Filipino & Vietnamese) that got our parents and older guests out on the dance floor, which meant so much to us. Then as the night built, he gradually shifted the vibe into more high-energy tracks, ending with EDM that had everyone still dancing and not wanting the night to end.
Beyond the music, his team went above and beyond with coordinating fun games that helped break the ice and get guests involved early on. They also helped to incorporate our projector videos smoothly with the parents dances, making those moments feel really special and intentional instead of just filler.
We also received a lot of great feedback with the “dancing on the clouds” effect that truly made our first dance feel absolutely magical, like we were floating, and it’s a moment we’ll never forget.

We worked with both Jimmy and Jake during the planning phase, and Jake was our DJ during the wedding itself. Both were very helpful right from the start, answering all our questions and explaining to us the range of services they offered. We ended up doing the DJ + photobooth package with them and also added on a TV screen so we could host a Kahoot trivia game about our relationship for all our wedding guests to compete in.
Jake was our DJ + emcee for the wedding itself, and he did a fantastic job. His crowd control with a group of 270 guests was fantastic, better than we could have hoped for. He followed our instructions perfectly, took initiative in all the right places, and went above-and-beyond to make sure we got the experience we wanted. -

If you are looking for a DJ that will ensure you/your guests have a good time, has great communication, is thoughtful, thorough, organized, and checks all the different boxes, then book Jove Events! We booked the MC/DJ/lighting/photobooth package, and looking back, we'd do it all over again! Our guests absolutely loved the photobooth, and we received a ton of feedback about how much fun they made the dance floor throughout the night. The JOVE Team was very knowledable and approachable. Considering DFW prices, these guys provide so much value and are very much worth it! We didn't have a clear vision when it came to our ceremony & reception music, and so besides a few special songs that we wanted for sure, we didn't have very many ideas for a few specific parts of our ceremony. Prior to our final meeting, we sent JOVE a playlist to help the team get an idea for what we had in mind, and with that they were able to curate an amazing playlist! They were also able to help us with our photobooth template, grand exit plans, and even put us in contact with an amazing bilingual MC! On our wedding day, Jake and Henry were phenomenal and were so great to work with. They took inspiration from our Spotify playlist and SO MUCH BETTER! Everything went smoothly and they exceeded our expectations to make our wedding truly unforgettable. Many of our guests loved the song list and kept asking us, "Does anyone have this playlist available for download??; Whose playlist is this?; This is FIRE!!". Everything was perfect from start to end and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Definitely 11/10. -

Henry was our designated DJ and MC, and he did an amazing job! The dance floor was really important to us, and he kept the energy up all night. He transitioned between songs seamlessly, following our 'must-play' and 'do-not-play' lists while still reading the room perfectly. We got tons of compliments from family and friends about how fun the dance floor was, and several people even asked for his info for their own future weddings / events.
There were a few issues with the microphones cutting out during speeches (due to the venue setup), but Henry handled it quickly and as best as possible. We had so much fun on the dance floor and are so grateful to Jimmy and Henry for making the whole night unforgettable and very hype! -

Jove Events has done many weddings that I've attended in the Dallas Fort-Worth Area, and most importantly my best friend's wedding. So when it was time to book vendors for my own wedding, I knew right away that I wanted to book Jove Events. I appreciated how approachable, responsive, and transparent Jimmy was when it came to answering all of my questions and providing us details about each package. He even scheduled a video call to go over the final details with us a week before the wedding. We decided on the DJ and photobooth combo, and added uplighting and dancing on the clouds for the first dance song. Jimmy even worked with us by creating a personalized photobooth template and made us a special mix for my father-daughter surprise dance!
It's been 6 months since our wedding, but my friends and family are STILL RAVING about how great Jimmy and his team were, and how much fun they had dancing at the wedding. It was an amazing feeling looking around and seeing everyone on the dance floor all night, and the photobooth line never died down! Thanks to Jimmy and his team, our wedding went so smoothly. It was hands down one of the best (and favorite decisions) I made for our wedding!

My husband and I truly had the best experience with Jimmy and his team. We went with the DJ and Photo Booth package and do not regret it a single bit. Jimmy is so easy to communicate with. He's answered my millions of questions promptly and was such a pleasure to speak with. Although Jimmy wasn't personally available for our big day, a member of his team was, that being Jake. Let me tell you, Jake was truly the best and made our day the most special day. Jimmy and Jake communicated with us before the event and made sure that we were all on the same page. Jimmy even mixed a song we found from a live set that we were interested in using for our grand entrance and gave us a clip to make sure it was exactly what we wanted for our big day. When our day finally came, Jake and Henry (photo booth operator) gave our guests an unforgettable experience. The photo booth was always popping and the pictures came out great! The dance floor was always full. Jake catered to all ages and there was never a dull moment. I also want to add that we ended up adding the dry ice machine and cold sparklers and didn't regret it one bit. This is your wedding, GO ALL OUT! The photos and videos were breath taking and our guests could not stop talking about! What are you waiting for? -

This team really looks out for you and really knows what they’re doing. Their communication is awesome and confirmed I made the right decision booking with them. They helped my wedding go by so smoothly and it truly felt like I hired friends to work. I got lots of compliments on my playlist which was half Jake going off vibes. The other half was him listening to my wants for the wedding. Henry was busy with the photo booth and made sure my guests got a copy to take home. I would suggest anyone to book with them as soon as you know your event date. -

Jove Events has done many many weddings that I have gone to. I was impressed as a guest. When it was time to book vendors for my own wedding, we had no hesitations but to instantly book Jove Events. Right away, Jimmy responded to our emails and answered any questions we had. He was straightforward on what prior planning was needed, met up on our convenience, and was super flexible for we had changed our minds on a few things.
Jove Events is the whole package, they have many options on what combos you want for your wedding. They offer not only DJ with music planning, but MC-ing, lighting, cloud or sparkler machines, photobooth or 360 shots, and even more, like karaoke!
Jimmy, Henry, and Jake were part of our team for the wedding evening. Everything went so smoothly. Everyone was dancing to the music, the line at the photobooth was constantly going, and the most important to me, the transitions between each itinerary item. The way the night was narrated had a great Segway and energy between each portion and it was one cohesive event! Jimmy hit every music genre that I wanted and transitions were seamless. Especially since I wanted some Vietnamese music, you couldn’t even tell the changes from that or pop or rap or Motown.
My husband and I are so happy we were able to book Jove Events! Best team to work with! Keep doing what y’all are doing and making everyone’s dream day a reality! -

Our wedding DJ was absolutely amazing!!!! They had the perfect playlist that got everyone on the dance floor and kept the energy high throughout the night. We've received so many compliments about the music. In addition to that, our photo booth attendant was incredibly friendly and made the experience even more fun for our guests. They had prepared props for everyone and the lighting never missed! We highly recommend Jove Events for any event!!! Understood the assignment!
I have constantly been told “best party ever” and I truly believe it was because of jimmy and his photo crew!! Jimmy understood the assignment. He knew the right music to play and when. If you’re debating about adding the co2 gun, just do it. The crowd will go crazy!! We had literally music for all generations. Jimmy was responsive during the entire wedding plan process and for an anxious bride like myself, it helped ease my anxiety!! If I could give 183772829 stars, I would!! -

Jove Events is a perfect vendor that can provide you DJ, MC, photobooth, up lighting, karaoke,...
They have multiple packages for you to choose the one that fit what you want and your budget.
I have them for all services, and they were able to be flexible with our package, keep communication tight, very patient with us changing timeline, discuss with us details about the songs that we want.
All the songs that we requested were played. We were a little hesitant on our music selections to be kid friendly, but Khoa was delicate enough to save all those upbeat dancing songs until after 8:30ish when kids are not around and we can have fun.
Jimmy was in charge for the photobooth, preparing all the tags, everyone was so excited taking photos and were able to get the physical photos immediately as well as the digital version.
I had the best day in my life, we had a blast!!! Thank you Jove Events to be an important part in our big day! -

Jimmy was very responsive to emails and requests prior to the wedding. His website and payment methods were very accessible. Jimmy provided a very clear qoute with everything we asked for, with a great price I might add.
Days before the wedding, we had a zoom meeting with what we expect of him, time lines, song choices, do not play lists, where we want him set up at. Very informative.
On the wedding day Jimmy and his partner Vincent arrvied to the venue early to set up. He met all the time hacks, did not play any song we did not want, kept the dance floor busy, very respectful and professional. Vincent was great running the photo booth, many memories were captured.
Overall, best experience I've had with a DJ service. Great price and professionalism. I would defintely use him again for any party or event. -

Jimmy & Khoa are the BEST DJ/MC!! I had them at my wedding and they went above and beyond my expectations. I asked for music that would have people dancing all night and they delivered. Not only that but they were so attentive to our timeline and looked out for us throughout the night. The speakers at our venue died during the reception and both Jimmy & Khoa were so quick in bringing in their own speakers! The most efficient and prepared duo! In addition to their music, they were also so incredibly kind to take videos/pictures throughout the night and sent them to us after the wedding. Both Jimmy and Khoa stayed for our sparkler exit at the end of the night and even took pictures of that too!! Khoa has some incredible editing skills! Overall I could not have asked for a better DJ/MC. I honestly believe they are one of the biggest reasons why our wedding day was perfect. Could not recommend them enough! -

Jimmy was super responsive through email which when planning a wedding is very important. From the get go, he was friendly and answered all my questions professionally. Come time for our event, he set up a meeting and went over our timeline of events. He was able to get all of the songs that we requested, (some were covers) and he accommodated our guest request playlist. We also used his photobooth service, which I would highly recommend to anyone. It was such a fun feature and he sent me digital copies of all the slides. He generated a great template to go with our theme and these are things we and our guests get to keep forever. Also, the person running the booth was great and got everyone to smile and have a good time. -

We went to 4 weddings in 2019. Jimmy was the DJ for a cousin’s wedding and we loved him so much. The atmosphere was great and he was an awesome MC. We knew we wanted him to be our DJ, too! He was great to work with and helped us pick songs. The guests loved him as well. He took so much of my stress away, with wedding planning. The guests also loved the photo booth. He made us feel safe and reminded guests about the mask policy. The absolute best and most professional DJ ever! So caring. If you can, hire him! Him and his team are great! I can't say enough how great this whole experience was from Jimmy, our DJ. Our wedding was special in the sense that it was bi-cultural, Vietnamese and Mexican, and it was crucial that we strike the perfect balance in music. Jimmy was a great communicator, meeting with us in person, and always responsive to our texts and emails. He was able to guide us through the process of selecting the right music for our wedding, and had great input when we asked for his suggestions. We were able to get the perfect music mix for our event to set the perfect mood, all thanks to Jimmy. At one point during the reception, there were changes to the music selection that needed to be made on the fly and Jimmy handled it without a hitch. The DJ setup was professional, modern and sleek, with the DJ behind a softly lit shell which added to the photogenic aspect of the reception. Our guests had a blast dancing and enjoying the music, and also took full advantage of the photobooth, also booked through Jove Events. The photobooth setup was just as professional and modern as the DJ setup and was placed in the perfect spot. We were happily surprised to have had access to the photobooth pictures just a couple of days after the wedding, and also loved the scrapbook made for us at the end of the night with the pictures our family and friends took there.
Jimmy was a tremendous help, willing to go above and beyond to make our wedding a success and we can't thank him enough for helping us put together such an amazing reception for our wedding guests! -

We booked Jove Events for our wedding on October 3rd, 2020. If you want a DJ that will get the crowd up and dancing, this is the vendor for you! DJ Khoa knew how to read our crowd and keep our wedding guests on the dance floor the whole night!
Jimmy was instrumental in the planning process. He ensured that we chose our perfect song for each event (processional, cake cutting, etc.) and offered examples when we were unsure on what song to choose for certain events. Jimmy paid so much attention to detail that he cut out the part of the wedding ceremony song that my bride said she did not prefer, and took the care to seamlessly loop the song just in case the walk down the aisle took longer than expected.
The photo booth was a big hit with our guests. As an added bonus, DJ Khoa took photos of myself and my bride as we were having the last dance by ourselves while the photographer and all of our guests were outside getting set up for our send off. It was totally unexpected and much appreciated! Jove Events has our highest recommendation! -

Jimmy was the DJ for our wedding and did a fantastic job. We told him that we wanted “fun but classy” and he delivered. Songs like “Get Low” and “WAP” were kept far away and great classics by the likes of The Beatles and ABBA were mixed in with clean and fun modern music that always fit the mood. Not only did me and my wife enjoy it, but numerous people like our parents and friends commented on how the music was great. Jimmy also handled the unique configuration of our wedding extremely well - that being a Vietnamese and Polish-American wedding. A great selection of hard-to-find Vietnamese and Polish songs were also thrown into the mix. Last minute changes and requests were also handled really well, and he ensured that our entrance was epic. If you’re looking for someone to DJ for your wedding, Jimmy is the man. -

I would definitely recommend Jimmy to my friends. He was very responsive and friendly to work with. One time when I was working night shift and during my break after midnight, I emailed him asking some questions, thinking he would reply me later in the morning but he was still awake and answered me back right away. Unfortunately, we have to cancel our wedding reception due to the pandemic but Jimmy is very understanding and willing to refund us the deposit. I will definitely book him again in the future when everything gets better -

I had so much stress planning my wedding but Jove took care of us with a variety of set up and services including DJing awesome music, MCing and keeping the energy up, photobooth with awesome props and high quality prints and photo album, a custom monogram of our names to display on the dance floor, projector screen and video set up, microphones for speeches, and announcements. You will be hard pressed to find any other company that can do it all and do it with such professionalism and ease so that you can relax and actually enjoy the party! Jimmy will meet with you beforehand to discuss all the details, select all your songs, get your schedule and order in line, and bend over backwards to make sure your day is perfect and special and memorable. They are worth every penny and you would regret not hiring these guys if you want your event or wedding to be truly spectacular and one that everyone will remember fondly for the rest of their lives. -

If I could give Jove Events 10+ stars I would! I honestly believe that having Jimmy DJ at our wedding was the BEST decision we made in the whole wedding planning process! Planning was made easy and all questions were answered. From the first moment we spoke on the phone we knew it was going to be a good experience. He was polite, attentive and whenever we had a change of plans he knew how to improvise and keep the party going. Not to mention, that he knows his stuff. We had huge tradition Mexican wedding and I mean he had everyone on the dance floor. He also accommodated the younger crowed with non-Mexican music. It was amazing and we couldn’t have done it without him. I’ve been to a few weddings in which they were not satsisfied with their dj, but I cannot say the same. I recommend Jove Events to anyone and everyone. You will not regret making this decision and it will probably be the best one you make, I guarantee it! I will not hesitate to hire Jove Events in the future. 😄 -

Jimmy was just one of the amazing things that made the night so perfect. Music is a big deal to my husband and I so of course I had already picked out all of our music beforehand. So i just sent him a list of songs and was not disappointed! Everyone had such a good time and I loved seeing them on the dance floor :) -

Specialty Lighting and DJ Consultation
My husband and I hired Jove Events to create a specialized name plate that projects our names onto the wall. We used our light during the reception and it was a huge hit with everyone that saw it. It was a crisp and clear image that looked super professional! The price was great too and it didn’t take long to make. The best part was that we were able to customize the name plate to the design we wanted and Jimmy of Jove Events was able to deliver exactly what we wanted!
We also looked into the Jove Events DJing services, but went with my husband’s close friend. I have been to events where Jove DJed before and the music was great! They really are able to tailor your playlist to you and your S.O’s needs and create a great atmosphere for your event! Definitely recommend! -

Jove Events did an excellent job handling our DJ and Photo Booth needs go our wedding. Jimmy was attentive and accommodating to our needs. Jimmy our DJ was everything we could have hoped for on our special day. He was very thorough leading up to the day, making sure that the night flowed seamlessly and according to our specific tastes. He understood what we wanted that night and also gave us great suggestions. He stayed on schedule with our timeline of events eg. cake cutting, first dance, couples dance, etc. So not only did he play our favorite jams but was also an excellent MC and was easily able to get the crowd hyped. I highly recommend!!
