  Working with Doug and Theresa was phenomenal! They made us feel super comfortable throughout the planning process and went above and beyond ensuring that names were pronounced properly.   Happy customers!!

  Reverend Doug and his wife make a great team when it comes to weddings. We had an outdoor ceremony at Ned’s Point in Mattapoisett, so our rehearsal was there in the pouring rain-yikes!! It was terrible weather the day of the rehearsal and rev Doug and his wife still came to rehearse with us!! The day of our wedding was perfect, thank goodness! They brought their Bluetooth speaker to play our ceremony music since I freaked out 2 weeks before the wedding when I realized I didn't have a way of playing music for our ceremony. JOL Ministry was such a reliable, accommodating, and affordable officiant and I couldn't recommend them more!!

  Wedding Officiant

  I can’t say enough about Reverend Doug. He met with us back in October for our wedding that was 1/12/19 and he spent a good amount of time getting to know us. He worked that into his ceretbut also allowed us to personalize our ceremony to suit our vision for our wedding. We felt we were in such good hands and we were. We had several people remark about how good our Officiant was. He really seemed to care about what we wanted and he did exactly that. I would highly recommend him.

  Amazing pastor

  Was very helpful. Wrote a personalized ceremony. I had a very stressful week leading up to the wedding dealing with unrelated wedding stuff and he was right there to make sure the wedding part was perfect. Thank you again!!

  I truly could not imagine my day with anyone else! Doug and his wife listened attentively to make sure they got every detail right. Their sense of humor and easy going personality made it seem like we had known them forever. Our personalized ceremony was written for our own personal love story that made the whole process that much more magical. If you are trying to decide who to chose- chose them!!

  Rev. Doug is awesome! We couldn't be more pleased with the officiant for my daughter's wedding - from their first meeting with him, to his helpful suggestions when writing their vows and the invaluable guidance provided at the rehearsal, Rev. Doug and Teri helped make the day perfect!

  Reverend Douglas wrote my husband and I a beautiful ceremony. He was very flexible when the original time of our ceremony got rained out. We don't live in Rhode Island but he did a wonderful job of staying in touch and worked with me over the phone when My husband and I couldn't make it to RI. Highly recommended!

  I had the pleasure of being married by Rev. Goodson last month and I could not be more happy. He and his wife are a sweet couple who were a very special part of my wedding. Doug made our ceremony absolutey perfect, he was kind, professional, funny, and organized. He helped my husband and I with a few parts of the rehearsal/ ceremony setup that we hadnt thought of and he was so easy going and great to work with. You will not be disappointed if you meet with him.

  Rev Doug was simply a life-saver. He was able to create a beautiful and meaningful ceremony with us after one meeting on short notice. He worked with us on everything we were looking for and was organized and professional at the rehearsal which helped to calm anxious family members. The day of our ceremony, he delivered a flawless sermon and we would not have had it any other way.

  John and I wanted a certain vision for our wedding and we knew from day one that Rev Douglas would support that vision. We were looking for an officiant that would keep the ceremony spiritual, light, and humorous and that is exactly what we experienced with Douglas. I highly recommend ?anyone getting married to use Rev Douglas Goodson as your officiant. We're so happy that we shared our wedding day with him !!! Thank you so much, Douglas, for giving us fantastic memories from our SPECIAL DAY !
