My daughter and son-in-law had chosen Josh to photograph their wedding, and we were absolutely thrilled with their choice. Josh is an incredibly hard-working and talented photographer who poured his heart into the process of creating a beautiful final product. His stamina and energy on the wedding day were unmatched. When looking for our wedding photographer, we wanted someone whose photos would help us feel like we were in the moment and capture the spirit of the day. Josh did just that.
His documentary, candid-style photography delivered photos that tell a story and are energetic, lively, and fun. From our first meeting through the end, we could tell he is passionate about his craft and genuinely loves what he does. Especially with one of us being more hesitant about taking photos, we appreciated Josh’s sincerity and transparency throughout the whole process.
He also was very accommodating of special requests, like taking a group photo of everyone who attended after the ceremony, keeping a dance a surprise, and creating two separate albums so some photos could stay private.

An amazing experience working with Josh!
Josh is an incredible photographer, and our family is so grateful to have worked with him! Amazing experience!!!
Josh did an incredible job shooting my last-minute impromptu elopement in Annapolis! While it ended up raining during our shoot, we had a blast running up and down the streets of Annapolis taking unique shots! Josh’s positive energy is absolutely contagious. My husband and I hate being in front of the camera but Josh made our time so much fun!! We laughed the entire time! He said that rain shots end up with some of the most interesting photos, and he wasn’t wrong! He incorporated the rain and our umbrella in an absolutely brilliant way. He got absolutely drenched working meticulously and efficiently to find the perfect backdrops for us all around the city. We are absolutely thrilled with how they came out!!! The pictures are stunning!

Fantastic creativity for a minimalist elopement
Josh really took the time to understand who we are individually and as a couple….including our interests, how we met, and vision for our wedding ceremony. He quickly grasped that we both love arts and architecture and brainstormed ideas for a photography setting after our civil ceremony. During the ceremony he was completely unobtrusive while taking candid shots. He is extremely talented and easy to work with.

Josh did an amazing job! Not only did he make my partner and I extremely comfortable during the session. But he also gave Ben and I something to look back on for years.
Ben is on deployment and I really wanted something for us both to hold onto and look at while were apart and to document his first deployment. Josh gave us exactly that.
Josh has an amazing way to captivate what you and your partner only have, and even after the session ben and I couldn't stop raving about how easy it was to pose for josh, it honestly felt like we had a close family friend take pictures for us! 5 stars across the board!
This session aloud ben and I to connect and slow down a bit and just focus on one another before he had to go away for half a year. I could wright way more and go on about how amazing and talented josh is. He has a true natural born gift and I haven't even seen all my photos yet and I'm already mind blown at what the previews have looked like. It was a lucky day for us when I found Josh online! I was so impressed with his portfolio & previous reviews, & I knew right away after speaking with him that it was a perfect match. He understood my vision for the day -- lots of pictures, of course, but not too posed & lots of candid photos of wedding party + guests. I was so incredibly happy with our wedding photos. They are absolutely beautiful & I will cherish them forever. Our engagement photos also came out beautifully -- he got an absolutely beautiful shot of us with our dog that I was then requested to send to everyone in our family to be framed, & to share with our dog's veterinarian. Amazing artist and experience

Photos & Experience are Top Notch & Incredible
Where do we even start?... This whole experience has been incredible beyond our wildest dreams. The tears & the laughter & the deep emotions that we had never even known existed were felt in mass on our wedding day & Josh captured every moment beautifully.
One of the things that stood out to us the most was how Josh captured people as their most beautiful selves. In the formal pictures, candid pictures & in the pictures where people quickly got together for little group shots, everyone looked stunning. However Josh finds & captures that raw emotion that brings out the most genuinely beautiful parts of each person is impressive beyond belief.
The gratitude that we have for how above & beyond Josh has gone for us is immeasurable. The photos have had our emotions allll over the place between the happy tears & the laughter & the happiness.
We have had SO many people reach out to ask about being able to look through the pictures. We are so happy that Josh has set up his business to be able to share the photos this way - it certainly differentiates his business in such a big way.
We have so much love for Josh. I didn't realize I would be making lifelong friends out of strangers through this entire wedding planning experience. Great experience for engagement photos in DC
We had a very positive engagement session with Josh. It was our first professional photoshoot as a couple, and neither of us love being photographed. Josh is an incredible artist and a wonderful person. He did a perfect job for us at our wedding in April and delivered photos we’ll always treasure!
Before the event, we had a great conversation discussing our vision and vibe, and he asked thoughtful questions to help us figure out details. He is so warm and inviting, we felt relaxed with him right away.
On the day, he was an absolute delight. So many of our guests complimented Josh specifically when telling us about their experience at the wedding! We didn’t want to spend a ton of time taking photos on the day; we wanted to enjoy our party. Josh made this happen perfectly. We still got plenty of fabulous and complete family photos, but didn’t miss a minute of cocktail hour. And the final product he delivered is everything we wanted and more: beautiful real moments, classic but natural posed photos, and little touches of artistry that make the photos feel alive.

Amazing and perfect
Josh did an AMAZING job at our wedding in April! Truly wonderful on every level. From the beginning, Josh put us at ease — he’s an active listener, very communicative, and clearly enjoys his job. Organized and detail-oriented, Josh made sure he knew what we wanted for the day, and he captured our wedding day beautifully. Specifically, we wanted to capture moments of spontaneity throughout the ceremony and the celebration, and Josh really delivered! He was everywhere all at once but also invisible. Our guests remarked on his skill and graciousness repeatedly, both that night and after the wedding. We’re overjoyed with the photos themselves, and he captured the real feelings and joy of our day. Fabulous wedding photographer
Joshua was absolutely wonderful to work with. He was one time, professional and just a delight to have at my daughter’s wedding and wedding luncheon. I went into the shoot nervous because I usually don't know how to pose for photos but Josh gave me so many pointers throughout. My favorite moment was when he suddenly said "Hi Dawn!" Josh was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and engaged throughout the entire process of working with him. I found his proactive approach toward preparing for the photo shoot to be extremely helpful the day of. While at the photo shoot, his creativity allowed for me to focus solely on smiling. Even though he recommended more than enough great ideas for poses, he was thoughtful enough to ask me, yet again, toward the end of the session if there was anything else I had envisioned or desired that we hadn’t already captured. Amazing Photographer on our big day
We decided to go with Josh for our wedding for two reasons - his body of work from his pages and his spirit from our first dialogue. From day one, he explained his process and made my now wife very comfortable. On our wedding day, Josh delivered and even went above and beyond. He is a true creative and an expert in his craft. He directed the different settings / poses in ways I couldn’t imagine , all doing this with a friendly smile. Made A Lifelong Friend
My wife and I connected with Josh in September 2019. We reached out to him via email to inquire about his services as a wedding photographer. Josh was very professional and did a wonderful job answering all of our questions. We were so eager to book him as our wedding photographer that we had sent him our deposit before we even had our initial planning meeting. Josh was grateful for our confidence in him. It was important to him that we at least meet so we can make a decision to confirm or withdraw our deposit. We were so impressed with Josh’s work that it was an easy decision to book him as our wedding photographer.
Working with Josh was an absolute dream! He is very detailed oriented and always accommodating with our requests. He provided fantastic recommendations on where to have our photo shoots. In May 2020, we had to reschedule our wedding to the following year due to COVID. Josh reassured us that he would be with us all the way and that we would figure it all out together. Our deposit would be carried over to the next year, and Josh had even offered us a free photo shoot. This truly shows that Josh cares about his clients and will go the extra mile for them. There were a number of times when my wife and I would meet up with Josh to have lunch together. We would talk about plans for upcoming photo shoots, discuss the wedding itinerary, and get to know each other more. We all share common interests, and we just hit it off from the very beginning. I knew right then and there that we didn’t just get a wonderful photographer for our wedding; we got a new friend for life.
Josh did such a phenomenal capturing every part of our wedding day. From getting ready in the morning to the wedding reception, the pictures that Josh took were absolutely breath taking. His style is truly simple, unobtrusive, and spontaneous. Because of him, we have all these wonderful photos to look back on and remember for the rest of our lives. Later that evening, I remember Josh coming up to me to let me know that he was done for the night and was about to head home. I was so surprised how time went by so quickly that day! I joked around and said, “No, please don’t go!” Our wedding day is by far the best day of my life that I didn’t want that day to end. With his giving spirit, Josh had offered stay a bit longer for us. However, I wanted to abide by our contract, and my wife and I thanked him for all that he had done for us that day. I knew that we would be seeing each again in the future. This was just the start of something beautiful.
For all of those searching for a wedding photographer, I highly recommend Josh. You will have the time of your life working with him, and the moments leading up to the wedding will be captured perfectly. Have confidence in him like we did, and you all may be onto something beautiful.

Thrilled with Josh!
We hired Josh as our photographer for our wedding in Glen Echo, MD and are so thrilled that we did! We originally booked with him when planning our wedding for 2020 and stuck with him for rescheduling to 2021 and finally to the date that held, in May 2022. Josh is a joy to work with: talented, communicative, and fun. We had numerous combinations of family portraits to take and he helped us think through a process to get them done efficiently (his pro tip: immediate family pics before the ceremony free up time to actually enjoy the cocktail hour!) We did a few other couple shots organically throughout the night, but mostly let Josh do his thing, capturing authentic/organic reunions and dancing and everything else. Our wedding wasn’t particularly small (~150ppl) and he captured lots of amazing images just by himself. He also helped us get the most aesthetically out of our venue, which had both nature preserve and amusement park vibes, depending on where you stand. He delivered photos quickly after the fact. Meeting Josh Was like Meeting an Old Friend
We LOVED working with Josh. I am also a professional photographer, so I put a ton of trust in Josh to calm my nerves and make me look nice on the other side of the lens and he went above and beyond. The session felt like a hang out with friends, no pressure or awkwardness at all. He gave direction but also let our personalities and connection shine through. Joshua is the best!
We have now used Josh for both our wedding and a family photo shoot. Our experience has been great!
- I am not a photo person; I dislike the idea of "selfies". As a result, my wife and I have very few family photos. Most of them are one of us taking a photo of the other or the baby, with an occasional family selfie.
- We had a simple city hall wedding ceremony; the photographer was more expensive than anything else aside from my wife's rings. For our family photoshoot, I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay for a professional portrait session instead of just choosing a big-box portrait photography outlet. Both for our wedding and for a family photo shoot, we decided to use a professional photographer.
- My wife chose Joshua, and I (we!) could not be happier with the result - this was the best way we could have spent our limited budget.
- I felt very awkward being photographed by an actual photographer. Joshua helped me relax, and the photos were much better for it.
- Josh's composition of the photos is very good. He is a professional, and it shows. Now I can't believe I balked a bit at paying for a photographer for the family shoot after liking our wedding photos so much, but I won't balk in the future - the photos are so much better than we could do ourselves.
- The food, flowers, dresses, etc. were fine for our wedding, but all those things are temporary. We decided that the one thing we were going to spend money on was good photos. We were lucky to find Joshua, and we cherish the two photo sets he did for us.
A professional photographer for your wedding is money well spent, and Joshua is one of the best. I highly recommend him both for the quality and the value of his photography.

The Amazing Art of Josh!
There is something magical about Josh. He brings a feeling to your event. My wife eas extremely anxious with all the details/family and josh’s energy just had a calming effect. It made her enjoy the event even though she was not used to being photographed.
I encountered Josh’s work years ago by accident. I just got into hobby photography as it was different from my medical work. Honestly it was fun.
Josh is a master at light and photography. The perspectives he got captured our relationship. The feelings and passion we had. Its interesting how i admire his pictures as i would admire art in a museum.

Josh was an absolute pleasure to work with. He included an engagement shoot, gave us tons of photos, and took wonderful pictures! On our wedding day, his associate got sick so he took pictures by himself and it turned out perfect. He was very accommodating to our busy schedules and flexible. Wow …. Where do I begin? I have never looked at a photo and felt every single emotion I felt on that exact day. That’s what Josh does . My Go-To Photographer When I Want to Look My Best
Working with Joshua is such a joy. He has to be the kindest, friendliest, most trustworthy soul in the whole world. This not only makes him a pleasure to work with, but it is also SUPER HELPFUL when he's got a camera in your face, and you're trying to act relaxed and natural! He has a true knack for making people feel at home and completely comfortable and themselves. In addition, he's got a gift for posing people and for describing how people can pose themselves for the most interesting and flattering shots. His people skills are incredible, but his photography and editing skills are equally as amazing, which is of course the main reason why people hire a photographer! He has a great eye and his photos look so sharp STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAMERA! And then when he edits the photos, they might as well be something out of a magazine. Josh took my graduation photos last week and I am extremely delighted with the outcome. I’m terribly camera-shy but he made the shoot very comfortable, it’s as if you’re just taking a casual stroll with a friend. When I saw the shots, I was stunned at how professional I looked! Haha! Amazing Photographer and even better person.
Being a photographer myself I have a hard time hiring a photographer as I’m just too critical. We searched so many websites and then we came across Josh’s work. I knew instantly that this was the guy. Then we had our meeting and I felt even better. This was a difficult shoot as there were three adults and two little boys under the age of four. Josh moved us through some fun, dynamic, comfortable poses without it ever feeling like a photo shoot. The result was a mix of candid and relaxed posed shots that we will cherish forever. We had an amazing experience with Josh over the past weekend for our engagement photoshoot. My partner and I wanted our relationship to be captured organically, rather than staged. Josh was an incredible photographer. From the moment of my first call, I felt like he wanted to work with our personalities and our relationship. He had some great ideas, was open to some we had, and even did a facetime call to break the ice beforehand.
