Best videographer out there!

If you want the best, most unique and fun wedding video - stop here and call Ed immediately!! One of my best friends had Ed Neary capture her wedding and from the moment I saw her “teaser” video, I knew he had to be the videographer for my own wedding! Ed is kind, hysterical, professional and as he describes himself an event ninja!! He is everywhere and nowhere. He will capture every moment without being in the way and makes sure to keep you laughing while doing so. Ed’s style is so fun compared to the more serious dramatic wedding videos we kept seeing over and over. His style is unique and he was able to capture all the small moments without us realizing as well as guide us through some fun moments like popping champagne with our bridal party which made for awesome shots! We absolutely cannot recommend him enough and watching our special day on replay brings us back to the best day of our life. In regard to COVID, Ed was extremely professional and made us feel comfortable. He wore a mask and took all the proper precautions necessary to ensure safety. We cannot recommend Ed enough - if you’re getting married and want a fun wedding video there is no one else who will do a better job!

Amazing! Respectful, fun and great communication

Ed and his team did an amazing job shooting our wedding video! Ed was super receptive to kind of a video that we wanted and did a great job of honoring that. I specifically did not want anything TOO serious and he captured so many silly/HUMAN moments that we are grateful to have. He kept things light despite both of us being very nervous. He did a good job of not being too intrusive of the "special moments", but captured everything that we wanted. At the END of our reception, Ed had already created a 50 second trailer that he showed to me and my husband before he left. He communicated quickly before and after the wedding and we are so grateful for all of the video footage we have from him! Could not recommend more!

Amazing Experience

First of all, this was the first vendor We booked after choosing our venue and my dress. When you see the work and service that they provide, all thoughts on a budget big or small goes out the window. Joseph Edwards Films esp Ed Neary are super talented, professional, super creative and FUN!!! They made the day super smooth and half the time I didn’t even know they were there. When we received our trailer, we were ecstatic!!!!! Could not ask for more!!! BOOK THEM NOW!!!!

Ed was absolutely amazing! Your wedding day is extremely stressful and he found a way to keep me relaxed and laughing. His work is impeccable and he is incredibly professional. I loved the short film and 3 minute film he sent us. He stated that he would work in our film until it was perfect to us, but there was no need to change it at all. It was perfect the first time around!

Ed is the best out there! We are so glad we booked him as our videographer for our wedding in NYC this past June. He is punctual, professional, and full of personality! He takes the time to gather all information and requests ahead of time so he knows what you're looking for. I've gotten emotional every time I've watched our trailer!

We have looked for a cinematographer for our NYC wedding for a while. We then came across Ed's channel on Vimeo. You can see the difference in quality right away, I knew it was exactly what we were looking for.
He was very responsive and we met at this NYC office to describe to him our vision for the video and hear about his process. He couldn't have been nicer and we hired him right after.
Working with Ed on the day of the wedding was easy and fun and everyone in the wedding party loved him. We highly recommend!

I couldn’t be happier that we chose Ed to capture our special day. He really captured the love and energy in the room. We had the best time working with Joseph Edwards films! They're quick to respond, accommodating and really care about your day. Our teaser video was literally a movie trailer and we can't wait to see our full video. They truly captured everything from our day without flaw! Scott was awesome & professional! Worked amazingly with our photographer and captured moments we didn't even know he was capturing. Not only do you get your trailer, 30 minute video, but if you so desire, all the raw footage from the evening as well. Talk about value! We would highly recommend them. It's worth every penny to look back on a day that fly's by!

We had Ed Neary as our videographer for our wedding back in June of this year, and the video came out amazing. We are so happy that we went with him. His sense of humor was much appreciated and it made a very hectic (and wonderful!) day that much lighter and easier.

I cant begin to say how fun and wonderful it was working with Ed on my wedding day. I recently received my trailer and have watched it more times then I want to admit. Ed was able to capture some beautiful pictures and the overall high energy of my wedding day.
Selecting Ed wasthe best decisions I made during my wedding planning process. I came across his work online and coincidentally my day of coordinator had a great relationship with him. I truly believe picking a wedding videographer is one of the most important elements of planning a wedding-… you want someone who will capture the energy, love and style of your wedding day- because it really goes by quickly (and you planned so long and hard for it!). So.. do yourself (and your fiancé) a favor and book Ed. You won’t regret it!

Edward is really incredible and we are so happy we chose him and his team to be our wedding videographers. He did an amazing job capturing the day and the emotions but was never invasive. We didn't even notice he was there! And the final product is even better than we could have hoped for. The quality is incredible and his professionalism is evident. Gillian & I are not used to being centre of attention, we were more worried about our audience than our vows, however Ed & his "Bro" certainly put us at ease. He is a great guy to work with, has got great "sight" too,(what will work/what won't). 100% professional.
I was a wee bit worried about our trailer as we had an intimate wedding & a small amount of time so that there wasn't much to go on, but Ed is a master of his profession & our trailer was perfect

We are so happy we went with Ed and Joseph Edwards Films for our wedding, they are AMAZING! Ed is SOOOO talented at what he does and, beyond that, was so much fun to have around on the wedding day. He has a great energy, makes you feel super comfortable and is able to get all of the shots/angles you want to see and relive afterwards.
We are beyond THRILLED with our video, it truly captures the fun energy and love we felt at our wedding and we can't stop watching it! He was so accommodating to our requests and delivered exactly what we had hoped our video would be.
We would recommend them to everyone and anyone, it was truly a wonderful experience.

Working with Ed from the beginning was so easy! He was extremely professional and offered me so much information about his business in just 1 phone call. I was sold on hiring him for my wedding within minutes. Ed and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with, especially on the day of our wedding. Ed and his crew were amazing! My husband and I got married last year and we were lucky enough to have Ed Neary shoot our video for our wedding! Both Ed and his team were so professional and the quality of work was incredible - it really looks like a movie! We did both a short trailer and a short film and we were blown away! He is so detail oriented and it really shows!

Ed will lay on the floor for the shot, climb on top of stuff, and even go into the middle of the street for the perfect shot! We love how he would walk around the dance floor with the camera under his arm so people wouldn't see the camera. This really made our film better because everyone is so natural - which is what you want your video to capture!

Even better, when we asked for some MINOR edits, they were done within 24 hours - no questions asked!

Ed had known that we had gotten engaged in a fortune cookie and he wanted to do a shot of our rings in the cookie. I remember walking outside to get some fresh air and seeing him and his team on the phone ordering a cookie from the local chinese take-out shop. Since the store couldn't deliver, he sent one of the guys out to pick it up! This is just ONE example of what he will do for the shot - it is all about the details!! We LOVED the final product, and Ed and his team, and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for an A++ videographer!

Seriously if you are reading this review don't question yourself.. YES you are making the right decision and I promise you no other videographer will give you the finished product you expect! I am the most annoying person ever when it comes to video and photos. We spent so much money to have a beautiful wedding happen and the only thing I knew I would always have to remember all those crazy details I spent hours on and no one else even noticed is videos and photos. I am from Connecticut and literally contacted every videographer within a 50 mile radius and I am so grateful I found Ed! I found a few videographers that had some amazing trailers(not as good as Joseph Edwards) BUT good enough. My biggest concern was having a wedding video that was as good if not better then my trailer so that's when I digged deep and asked a million questions. Well Ed passed the test. He was so patient and so professional and knew exactly how to lighten me up. He made me feel like my vision and my expectations were possible! Yes he was not the cheapest and we ended up going over our budget for video but let me tell you I do not regret one cent! It was worth every penny! I regret the other stuff that I can only remember now because of my beautiful video! Seeing my trailer for the first time was such a fairytale! Over a year later I still get butterflies! Then I received my hour long video as I requested to please my Albanian in laws and it was beautiful but a little to long for my taste. I spoke to Ed about it and we decided a short video was really what I wanted so Ed worked on a short video for me and I am beyond beyond grateful as the short film was exactly what I had envisioned! He exceeded every expectation I had! I have people that have never met me and somehow they saw my video. They stop me to tell me how amazing our video was. I recently got married on 4/18/15. Ed was a dream to work with. He was so friendly and pleasant. I just received my trailer and my family and friends are absolutely blown away by his work. Our wedding video by Joseph Edwards is our favorite piece from the wedding. Our video captures so much more than pictures can reveal (even though we love our pictures too!)

Our photographer recommended us to Joseph Edwards. We loved how he captured our personalities, our relationship to one another, and the relationships we have with our families and friends. His work is beautiful and highly professional. I love how he overlaid lines from toasts and the ceremony throughout the video. The package we selected included a 4 min trailer, 20-minute video, and the raw footage, which is exactly what we needed for our own keepsake and also to show various people (depending on the audience.) We have received so many compliments about our video. People have said how he captured everything from the day so perfectly… and I can't agree more.

Living in NYC, there are so many options and the task of finding the perfect vendor can be daunting. Look no further!!! I am so blessed that I found Joseph Edwards Films in my research. I'm a tough nut to please, I admit it. Not only am I honored to offer this review, but I feel obligated to do so--that's how pleased and appreciative we are with Joseph Edwards Films (JEF). The most difficult part of our wedding was selecting the right videographer who would capture the two of us, our relationship and the emotions and spirit of our wedding day with accuracy and artistry. "JEF" not only met our expectations, but FAR exceeded them. Ed and his team caught our vision immediately. We didn't want "pretty" video, but rather a "documentary" style that speaks to the view "from the inside." JEF accomplished this with a sense of beauty and emotion that is unmatched. The quality of the service and video far exceeded the price we paid. The entire day, beginning with a five-hour shoot at our apartment and throughout NYC's Central Park, was great fun, and revved us up for the ceremony and reception to follow. Today I personally called Ed to thank him for his amazing artistry, having recently received the 26-minute video of the day. And this tough nut actually broke down in tears a couple times during that phone conversation, so grateful am I for capturing the day so well. Honestly, we discovered Joseph Edwards Films by accident, but it was more "destiny." I hope this review will save you, the reader, from endless digging for that perfect videographer, that perfect team, that perfect product that you and your loved ones will cherish for a lifetime!

Ed & his crew are nothing but the absolute best! I knew I wanted a film that was classic and really captured our day. Ed did exactly that! Our film catches my husband and I in moments that we didn't even remember happening. They are a pleasure to work with and really let you 'do your thing' on your wedding day. It was great to know that they were filming moments that were just natural and not posed or 'acted'. I absolutely would recommend Joseph Edward Films to everyone! Look no further when choosing a videographer. Joseph Edwards Films is the best of the best! Even my husband who didn't think video was necessary (esp since it wasn't in the budget) was all for it after our first meeting... we left our deposit with Ed on the spot. Ed was awesome to work with from start to finish & he and our photographer were a great team... actually a professional comedy team. Ed was on time the day of the wedding.. professional and most importantly FUN!! Ed and his team captured all of the important moments of the day and they were not intrusive by any means. Our trailer was AMAZING! I cant count the compliments I have gotten on it. I Can't wait to see our short film. Thanks again for everything ... you are truly amazing at what you do!

Our wedding was on December 28, 2012. When I began looking around for vendors, I didn’t place much importance on finding a videographer, but instead concentrated on photography and décor. I had two important criteria for selecting vendors, the quality of their work, and whether we could get along well. The latter was important because I wanted to our wedding day to be filled with joy and positive energy, and I wanted to select people I would want to spend the most important day of my life with. I should be clear that my husband and I have a definite aesthetic point of view and an appreciation of beauty and quality. We love art and culture, and this informed all of our choices. I had always thought of wedding videos as these musty, boring, endless things that I had always dreaded watching. But then I discovered the world of cinematic wedding films, and I discovered Ed Neary at Joseph Edwards Films. His work has vision, it has an artistic point of view, it has the quality and appearance of a Hollywood film. His work changed my mind about what a wedding film could be, and should be. The wedding film went from being an afterthought to the most important vendor I would choose. I contacted Ed, and from our first communication, I knew that he was the right choice. I was in love with his work, and he came across as a fantastic, joyful, engaging person. An in person meeting confirmed this, and my fiancée (now husband!) and I felt very secure in our choice. About two months after our wedding, we received our highlight video, which was three minutes of absolute brilliance. We looked like movie stars! I had no doubts that our short film would be wonderful. And it was! Watching the film with my husband and family was such a beautiful experience. The quality of the cinematography, coupled with Ed’s artistic vision, created something I couldn’t have envisioned when I started searching for a standard videographer. We couldn't be happier!!!

Ed and his team at Joseph Edwards NY were truly magnificent for shooting our wedding at Oheka Castle. During our extensive search, we knew after we had met with him, his vision and artistic talent was truly unparalleled. My husband and I were looking for a nostalgic yet elegant portrayal of our wedding and he captured these moments seemlessly. He was not only artistic and professional from the moment we met him, but he has a sense of humor which really helped ease the stress of the big day and allowed us to be ourselves by relaxing us throughout the big day. Our video was something we have always wanted to be perfect and we can't wait to share this with our loved ones for generations to come!

Ed is awesome! We almost didn't use a videographer at all because my parents and in-laws had the antiquated vision of someone showing up with a big camera and lights, forcing a microphone in all the guests faces. I'm so happy my husband and I put our foot down and decided to go with Milestone Video Productions. We met with Ed in Manhattan prior to the wedding to discuss the day and he made us feel completely at ease. The day of the wedding, John showed up early, was a total pleasure to have around - but for the most part, we really didn't even notice he was there! The video was perfect! He managed to capture all the emotions of the wedding and it's really a joy to watch. I 100% recommend Ed and Milestone Video!

Ed Neary created a beautiful wedding video for us, which we have enjoyed watching over and over. Ed is discreet and his equipment isn't overly obtrusive, so he was really able to capture a lot of wondeful, intimate moments throughout the day without intruding at all. Ed met us for our "first look" the morning of the wedding and stayed with us through most of the reception. In addition to the wedding video itself, we chose the package that includes a podcast, so our highlights are condensed into a 5-minute movie we can watch on our iPod. Very cool. We highly recommend using Ed for your event!

I don't think there are enough superlatives to describe the work of art produced by Joseph Edwards. Such professionalism, combined with warmth and a sincere interest to capture the special day. Watching it brings us right back to all the magic, all the love and joy we experienced that day. The film is so artfully composed, and unlike any I have ever seen. I don't remember seeing Ed Neary, yet there are so many special private moments captured, along with the fun and the energy and the romance, all candid, genuine moments, memorialized for us and future generations. Thank you Ed, for your priceless gift.

Ed is amazing! Book him now! So glad we chose him to capture our day. his wedding films look and feel like actual movies, not just regular wedding videos. He made the day fun and got everyone engaged. He synced the music we chose perfectly with our video. It looks like it was perfectly choreographed to the music. He was always open to any changes or edits I wanted. We live across the country so we only met him once before the wedding but he was the perfect choice! He will do whatever it takes to capture the shot. He even took a photo of my dresses which was amazing since my photographer didn't do a dress shot for some reason. He does a trailer which is shorter than the film and great to share with family & friends. We added the drone which was so worth it...we got amazing aerial footage. He is a film genius and so fun to work with! Hire him...you won't be disappointed!

We hired Joseph Edwards Films for our wedding and have to say that the content that Ed and his team produce are a beautiful array of hidden moments, expressions and emotions that were masterfully crafted into a set of short films. The filming technique used and the editing style of the films themselves are visually stunning and creative.

Ed captured all of the fine details and documented the unique aspects of our wedding that can sometimes be missed in still photographs, etc. In fact the quality of the film and uniqueness of the shots are so good that we have used these as still photos to supplement our wedding album. This was the EXTRA added value that made having these films priceless.

In watching the film we finally feel like a guest and were able to relive our own wedding. We discovered hidden moments we did not get to see on the day (e.g., audio, movement, expressions from the guests, views/footage taken from different angles, moments that happened before you entered the room - ceremony and reception, etc).

In thinking about it, we spent so much money on our wedding that all took place on one day. Now that the wedding has come and gone, we are left with our memories (which are fading), the still photos and a life long investment in our film that captures all of the moments of that special day. Again, I cannot reiterate enough, making the investment in a wedding film and in recommending Joseph Edwards Films. I say this because during the wedding planning phase, we were not really thinking about what we would be left with after the wedding. Now that the wedding is over, we are so glad to have these films!

In terms of working style, Ed and his team were professional, energetic, respectful of our photographer, they were stealth like (you did not know they were there filming) and were relentless in filming every detail and in capturing our story. Finally Ed was a pleasure to deal with after the wedding and with any questions and follow up items.

Ed Neary filmed our wedding on October 20th, 2012 and we now have the most amazing memories on video. Things to know about Ed and his team:

1. They capture all the important moments without being intrusive at all.
2. They create a cinematic quality to their films without being over the top/cheesy.
3. They are responsive, professional, and care about their clients.
4. They have some different film options that can be tailored and fit needs based on budget or creative vision.
5. They are friendly and easy to work with.

We felt as though Ed was comfortable with us and our wedding from the moment he walked in. He had a great disposition and was excited to record our wedding day. He went with the flow, did not stress us out and most importantly delivered an amazing product.

Huge Thank you for capturing the most special moments on our wedding day!

A very big THANK YOU to Ed for capturing the best night of our lives on 10/8/22. Not only did he include amazing drone footage, but he captured moments that we were so special and emotional for us. We will have these memories forever!!! Looking back I would suggest hiring a second person so that you can get multiple angles throughout the day and night, but being a one-man job at my wedding certainly blew our expectations out of the water! A pleasure to work with and so much fun

We were super happy with our final wedding video from Ed Neary at Milestone Video. It seems that some brides choose not to book a videographer after all the expenses of a wedding, but I felt capturing it on video was so important, as the video really let us relive the wedding when we watched it a few months later. And Ed captured so many fun moments we weren't able to be a part of, for example certain moments from our cocktail hour, which we missed much of, and of so many fun moments on the dance floor. Ed managed to capture all moments/highlights of the wedding, and somehow managed to get the majority of our guests too even though we had a 300 person wedding. The final product was wonderful, and included a great wedding soundtrack that he let us choose songs for. Furthermore, his pricing is very reasonable. I'd found in researching vendors, that videographers really ranged in terms or pricing, but Ed's pricing seemed very fair.

Ed was also a pleasure to work with, non-intrusive, and captured the full day- from the fun day of getting ready all the way up to cake cutting. I was very very pleased with his services, and def recommend him!
