Wedding cake to remember!!

Our cake was absolutely AMAZING! Josef's holds a special place since my family has gotten a cake from them for every occasion so it was only fitting that we would get our wedding cake from there too. Also, my parent's wedding cake came from Josef's so it was special for me to get it from their too. My husband and I absolutely love dessert and cake, so it was super important that our wedding cake was unique, special, and tasty. We are the ones who always eat cake at a wedding - no matter what! We both love Carrot Cake, and since you do not typically see this at weddings we knew this is what we wanted for our wedding cake. Anthony, the baker, was awesome to work with. Made us a few sample cakes which was very nice, and even made a great suggestion on frosting (middle and outer layer) that we would have never thought of but we absolutely loved. He also put the flowers on the cake exactly how I envisioned. I could not recommend Josef's enough!!

Josefs never disappoints. I had SO many compliments on my wedding cake. Best cake, best frosting hands down. I gave them a picture of what I wanted and the day of my cake was better then the picture I even provided. When I went in for my tasting i was presented with three 5 inch cakes that i was able to test from and keep. AMAZING. You will not find a better baker in town. Thank you again Anthony from Josefs.

I cannot express enough how simply incredible Josef's pastry shop is! From the moment we walked in we could tell it was different than other pastry shops we visited. We met Anthony, one of the owners, and could tell immediately he had a passion for his business. He told us, "No one touches my cake but me" and we knew he meant it. My mom told me that she would go to Josef's as a kid and it had amazing pastries then. Well i can tell you the same holds true today. One taste of the almond cake with cherry mousse filling and it was like we died and went to heaven! It was so good that we even took home a goodie bag of some of their desserts to sample. And then there was the cake!! It was like something out of a magazine. It was so gorgeous with fresh flowers delicately spiraled around, that I didn't want to cut it. It has been two weeks since my wedding and I am still having friends and family come to me and tell me how amazing my cake was. I will definitely be recommending Josef's to all my friends and family and will be going back again to satisfy my sweet tooth :)

Josefs Bakery lived up to my expectations as far as the design of the wedding cake and the rich taste of the cake. They was able to use the custom design that I gave them to use for the wedding cake, they pulled off perfectly. Thank you Josefs.

We had our Wedding Shower and our Wedding Cake done by Josefs. Both of the cakes were a hit! We had different flavors and designs for both. Our guest were amazed by them! The taste was fresh and delicious! I would totally recommend Josefs to anyone.

I utilized Josef's bakery for my wedding cake; however I did not do the traditional wedding cake. They assisted us with picking a variety of torte cakes to feed 250 people! Everyone absolutely loved the cakes and getting to pick from 7 or 8 different options. The cakes were beautiful and tasted amazing.

We were trying to find Shamrock cupcakes for my wedding shower. We tried a couple samples from another bakery and didn't like the them. We went to Josef's one afternoon after another appointment to get a coffee and something sweet. I love Josef's and my mom grew up with Josef's. But I just thought they would be out of our budget. We were there and just asked them for prices and couldn't believe how inexpensive they were. I ordered some samples to pick up and try and they were so beautiful and under what I would of paid for a shower cake. I was able to order extra too and my guests were able to take some home. They tasted soo good and just looked so pretty.

I loved working with Josef. They were, by far, the least expensive too. He sat down with me and designed a cake to my EXACT specification and when it arrived, it was perfect. Take pictures or photos with you and work off of them, it was so easy and relaxed. Very comfortable and old world. Call them, you won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very professional. They take what they do seriously. I would recommend going in for a consultation on a weekday, as it is very crowded on the weekends.

Anthony created a wedding cake that was better than we ever expected. He worked with us on the style and on the specific design and detail that we wanted. The cake was a real showpiece and tasted delicious. This bakery gives you a full size cake for you to try. When the cake is cut it is beautiful and yes, it's true buttercream frosting.

Josef's created a beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. Using only a photograph of a design, they created a cake that was even better than I could have hoped for.

We didn't want the usual flowery wedding cake, so we came up with our own design. It was a very, very simple design, but since it wasn't what is usually done, every cake place we talked to wanted to mark up their prices drastically (upwards of $1000 for just 150 people!). We were very happy when a friend recommended Josef's, as they were able to do the cake for less than $2.50/person. The cake tasted great (we went with marble cake with custard filling, and french buttercream frosting). It was probably the best wedding cake I've ever had. There was one big problem with the cake, however: they decided to use my cake as advertisement for their business. When I went into the reception hall before the ceremony, I noticed there were business cards on the place card table. Annoying, but I was willing to leave it. I went over to see the cake and found more cards. Again, annoying, but whatever. But when I looked at the cake, there were large pieces of chocolate that said Josef's on all 4 sides of the cake. Given that we had gone over with the baker that we were looking for a very simple, clean look for the design of the cake, the large ads on the cake didn't exactly flow with the design. Luckily, I was able to peel off the ads without messing up the frosting (and, since I was pissed about that, I also threw out the business cards they had scattered everywhere, which I otherwise would have let go). Bottom line: great tasting cake, inexpensive, but it's inexpensive because it's subsidized by ads on the cake! Let them know if you don't want them to advertise directly on the cake.
