We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Jorge Rodriguez. From the moment we arrived at the shoot, Jorge made our entire family feel comfortable and relaxed, which is no small feat with little ones in tow. His calm demeanor, patience, and eye for detail immediately stood out, and it was clear we were in expert hands. He captured genuine smiles and natural moments without ever making us feel posed or stiff.

Jorge did an incredible job of photographing our wedding day. It was very stressful to book a photographer internationally for our destination wedding because there's so many unknowns. I couldn't have made a better choice by booking Jorge. He had great pre-wedding communication, showed up to the venue early to get set up, helped coach us in the shoot, and sent us truly special photos. While he was slightly more expensive than other photographers I considered, he was totally worth it to get a seamless experience. I can't recommend Jorge Rodriguez Photography highly enough! -

From US to MX
We are from the US and was visiting Mexico, where we sought out a local photographer & stumbled upon Jorge on Google; he did not disappoint!! Jorge was very kind, courteous, and professional; our photo shoot session was delayed and rescheduled a day later than intended, but Jorge compensated the inconvenience by spending extra time and making sure he was able to capture the most perfect shots as possible. He made us feel comfortable throughout the whole experience and was happy that he was even able to capture my surprise engagement! The turnaround time for edited photos was about two months but Jorge was able to have it ready in one. We were very happy with how all the photos turned out and would definitely recommend Jorge to capture your moments as well :) Thank you again!!! -

We had the privilege of hiring talented Jorge to take engagement pictures in July 2023 in Playa del Carmen. Jorge captured the most memorable and magical moments of our engagement, and we couldn't be happier with the entire experience. We spent a long time searching and talking to ALL photographers in Tulum, Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and it was clear that Jorge was BY FAR the best.
From the very beginning, Jorge displayed the utmost professionalism and enthusiasm. I hired Jorge to take family pictures while we were vacationing in Cancun. He did a fabulous job! His level of professionalism and great communication sets him apart. Before we arrived, on the day of the photos being taken, and afterwards to waiting for the pictures, he was very responsive! I was thinking of an special gift for my wife (and I) for our 27 th anniversary. By searching on the net I found Jorge and deeply anylized his work. I was amazed and invited my wife to join and plan for that special date. We qualify his service as excellent in all sections. Since day one he was quick on the response, clear on the information, professional on the different packages offered, etc. We felt very confortable during the photo shoot and the final pictures were what what we expected. Jorge was able to catch that feeling that we wanted to freeze for ever. Also, even the tough weather conditions and the sea weed, the pictures came out clean and beautiful. Thank you Jorge. Jorge was a pleasure to work with. We decided to contact Jorge shortly before our arrival to PDC in hopes to take some graduation photos while visiting. Working with Jorge was an incredible experience from start to finish. This was a surprise engagement for my, now, fiance, so the whole thing had to be a secret. Jorge was in from the beginning, provided me with many destinations to take photos, different ideas of how to maintain secrecy, yet plan accordingly. He extremely prompt with replies to messages - I mean - immediately replied, which made this whole process a breeze. The night before the shoot, Jorge and I even traded messages about the weather, and he was super flexible on timing.
The photoshoot itself was an engaging (literally), romantic, and fun experience that my fiance and I will never forget. The pictures were even better than I could have possibly imagined.
I cannot recommend working with Jorge enough and would welcome the opportunity to do it again! -

If I could give 100 stars, I would. Jorge and his team were such a pleasure to work with from day one. Our wedding as postponed and had a lot of changes between us booking him in 2019 and eventually having our wedding in 2021. He was really patient and understanding the whole time. We received so many compliments and praise form our guests after the wedding about how thorough and invested his team was during our wedding. They got every shot they could, but in a non invasive manner. The photos were well worth the wait.. they were exceptional and everything we wanted. Not only was the quality of the photos spectacular, but they really captured our moments, the love, joy, and fun present on our day. My husband was skeptical about paying for a photographer (he is very reasonably priced too) but he has said over and over about how happy he is that we did. We will cherish them for the years to come. Thank you SO much! -

My husband's entire family took a trip to Playa Del Carmen for Thanksgiving. We wanted to have family photos done since it's rare that all 25 of us are together. I found Jorge through a Google search, and am so glad I did.
Jorge arrived early so we had plenty of time for photos before the sun went down. Unfortunately, our resort was extremely slow and uncooperative when it came to getting him the day pass to take our photos. That got us a little flustered, but Jorge was extremely kind and professional through the whole process. We ended up with some great photos. He's good at posing large groups as well as getting candid shots (the candid photos of the 14 grandkids are my favorite). He really went above and beyond of what I expected.
His communication was great through out the entire process. Before we went to Mexico, he had me fill out a questionnaire to get to know us better and find out what kind of photos we preferred. He always replied to my emails/messages very promptly, both before and after the shoot. We received our photos within the expected time frame after the session.
I would definitely recommend Jorge to anyone looking for beautiful photos while on vacation. -

Absolutely Wonderful!
Jorge was wonderful for our engagement shoot! He has been very responsive through the entire process. He was professional and on time. We had a rainy day for an outdoor photo shoot and he waited for the rain to slow down and was able to get in a ton of great pictures in a short time frame before the rain picked up again. Both me and my fiance had no experience doing a photo shoot before and he directed us and made us look and feel so comfortable. The pictures were provided to us in about 3 weeks which is under the 4-6 weeks he promised. And they look wonderful! We booked him again for our wedding next year! -

Stop looking - Hire Jorge!
What can I say... our photos turned out AMAZING!!! We had limited locations at our hotel and Jorge made the absolute BEST of it. We went into the shoot saying - “If we can get just ONE good one.... it will be worth it.” We Walked away with 31 photos that we are madly in love with. He did an EXCEPTIONAL job, was incredibly professional and made us feel comfortable the whole time. IF we decide to get married in Tulum we want Jorge to be our photographer... he is that good! -

Many people buy digital cameras and call themselves photographers -- but Jorge is not that - he is truly a gifted photographer. The day we had arranged for a family photo shoot the wind was BLOWING 40mph and light rain. I was so upset that it was futile effort to even attempt pictures, but Jorge knew little tricks for fixing hair and dresses and walking the right direction to keep wind from ruining pictures. I was hoping for one good picture - we got 40! I highly recommend Jorge. He does good poses, watches for hand placement, fixes awkward positions and his photographs were high quality. Easy to communicate with even from different country. -

So Fun and Creative!
Jorge Rodriguez Photography was so great to work with! We had to make changes to our location last minute (my fault, not his) but he was not fazed! He worked with us, quickly found another location and even the rain couldn't stop him from providing an amazing, totally fun photo shot! We had 11 people, crazy wind, and a surprise proposal. I couldn't have asked for a better engagement photographer! Jorge is an absolute professional, and I highly recommend him. He was very responsive from initial outreach through the delivery of our photos. He did a great job asking initial questions to create a custom profile to ensure he would meet our photography needs. He was flexible to change up our initial shoot date due to weather; this was an extreme relief. On the day of the shoot, he showed up over 30 minutes early to scout out the location and find a great spot to stay hidden so he could candidly capture our special moment. He brought two separate cameras with differing focal lengths in order to provide us with a broader range of styles during our shoot. Jorge guided us through various ideas and settings for our staged shooting session too, which was extremely appreciated. We could tell that he would not accept anything but perfection from his work and that's exactly what we were looking for. He accommodated us with some quick edits of our engagement the very next day, which was a pleasure to be able to share with our friends and family so quickly. The remaining photos were delivered promptly within the agreed upon timeframe a little less than 2 weeks after our session. The quality and edits were stunning, and we couldn't be happier with how everything came out. Jorge was a complete pleasure to work with from start to finish. Like I said, an absolute professional through and through. I highly recommend his services for anyone needing a professional photographer. -

Jorge is amazingly helpful. We contacted him a week before our proposed dates, and he was available at the time requested. We were unfamiliar with the Cancun/Tulum area, and he suggested excellent sites for the shoot, and sent clear instructions regarding travel, parking, what to bring, and clothing selection. Jorge checked in before the shoot to make sure we were on track. At the shoot, Jorge was happy to implement all our ideas, and suggested great poses and activities. He arranged for us to use bicycles, got us beers to shoot at a restaurant venue, and drove to three separate locations. Jorge also extended our shoot to get all of the sunset, plus some moonlight shots, without any charge. His turnaround for editing was much quicker than expected, sending us the finished pictures just three days after the shoot. And the best part -- the final photos were even better than anticipated! Throughout the entire process, Jorge was extremely professional, with a formal contract prior to the shoot and a password protected webpage for viewing and downloading the final photographs. We also appreciate that Jorge was friendly and eager to work with us as a gay couple. We highly recommend Jorge to anyone looking for engagement and wedding photography! -

Because I am in a same sex marriage I needed a photographer who would be inclusive of my family. Jorge was not only supportive of us, he took amazing photos, capturing the family as a whole as well as each couple's unique personalities. The photos were lively, vibrant, colorful, playful and fun. They were better than could have ever imagined.

What more can I say? Jorge is amazing! As a fellow photographer, it was his quality and diversity of his work that impressed me from the start. more importantly, It was his professionalism and communication before the shoot date that helped me build reassuring confidence in the quality service and personal attention I would be receiving as a client. Jorge was an INCREDIBLE photographer, and our shoot was such a fun experience. He wanted to focus on what we wanted our pictures to be, and made sure that they were exactly that: fun, happy, "us". He instantly made us feel comfortable, and had tons of ideas for poses. He even brought a BOTTLE OF CHAMPAGNE and glasses to the shoot for us to take pictures with!!

Jorge was amazing from the first moment that we started working with him. When you are planning a destination wedding it is very easy to get nervous from planning far away but Jorge kept the communication strong from the first moment. He was very responsive whenever I had questions or even when I was first doing research! He was very professional and recommended that his assistant was able to come along to the event, which was great because so many moments were captured!
I really loved all my wedding photos from the outside scenery, and the photos inside the hall! It is very easy for some photographers to take very boring photos inside the hall but he did such unique framing that made the photos come to life!
From beginning to end, he was one of the best vendors I used and if we ever go to renew our vows in Mexico, we will be sure to use him again! So glad to use Jorge rather than the resort photographers (who do not compare to him). -

First of all, Jorge suggested a very nice beach for our photo shoot and recommended the best time of day too, which I really appreciated given that I didn't know the area. The associate photographer, Leo, did an amazing job with our family photos. He was punctual, professional, and made it easy. The session was fun and before we knew it, our session was over. My kids were having fun with the water and he captured it very nicely. He also managed to make my husband and I look like a perfect couple! His suggestions for the combination of posed and spontaneous photos were on point, and I was very pleased with the results. The testament is that my friends and family loved our photos. Jorge was very responsive throughout the booking process and helped out tremendously with other wedding favors. He was very professional and the team was great! I love all my photos and wish I had time for more!!! They did an amazing job and I am so glad I found them -

I was hesitant to book family photos while on vacation but Jorge’s photos were so beautiful I figured it was worth a shot. I’m so glad I took a chance, because our photo shoot was so much fun and the pictures turned out better than I could have ever expected! We laughed and giggled more than we ever have taking family photos. Jorge made us feel comfortable and captured the real us! We highly recommend him and look forward to having family photos take by him in the future. -

The Best Photographer!!
Jorge was such a pleasure to work with! He paid attention to every little detail during the wedding and our photos came out amazing! I love his style of capturing candid moments. He captured so many wonderful emotions from our guests during the wedding through photo. We re-lived all the happiness & love through our wedding photos. I would highly recommend Jorge! I came across Jorge amongst many other photographers on Wedding Wire.
After looking at several portfolios,
I couldn’t stop returning to Jorge’s photos and how exquisitely he captured such natural, easy love between his subjects. In a sea of photographers available, I knew he was the one I wanted to work with and hired him ASAP.
When we met I was a bit surprised by his all biz demeanor. Jorge is a true professional and takes his work very seriously. He gives you his undivided attention and works diligently to capture you using a blend of your vision and his.
When we received the wedding photos and slideshow, I cried and laughed at how beautifully he captured our special day. It was our version of what his photography portfolio displayed. And so many people thought it looked like a shoot for a magazine. Yessss!
The only thing I would’ve changed was getting individual photos with our wedding guests. Jorge sends a questionnaire prior to the wedding asking what are your must have pics, like your first dance, etc., and I didn’t think to ask for those because I just assumed they would be taken. In my experience, Jorge loves candid shots as opposed to posed, and he got sooooo many amazing candid shots, but I would’ve liked to have the individual shots as well. Although, I couldn’t be bothered for posed shots that evening as I was too busy dancing...
In closing, I highly recommend Jorge Rodriguez as your wedding photographer for quality, professionalism and value.
Just make it clear what shots you specifically want, let him do the rest, and you’ll be left with memories that last a lifetime.

OMG I just got my pictures back from Jorge for my bachelorette party shoot in Playa Del Carmen and they are amazing! If you are thinking about booking him please do! Jorge is the best and will not disappoint. He was fun to work with and really helped my friends and I with poses to get the best shot. He even had a second shooter with him at no extra charge. The turnaround time was also super quick and he even added more photos for me than what I originally paid for! I’m so glad I did my research and that he was available to book. He was super affordable and one of the best experiences I’ve had with a photographer! Trust me you will not be disappointed with his work! -

Excellent photographer
Jorge photographed our family as a surprise gift to my mother-in-law during our Christmas vacation. He was so patient and professional with our family and the pictures he captured will be treasured for years. Jorge has a way of using the light in his pictures that is so beautiful. I cannot thank him enough for the fantastic job he did. -

Destination Wedding - Mexico
Jorge and his assistant did a phenomenal job the day of the wedding. They were very welcoming and I felt like I knew them for years & not just meeting that day! Jorge wanted to capture so many pictures and I truly appreciated this. He captured so many wonderful moments and the pictures turned out beautiful! The only thing I would say is for the family portraits, they were very unorganized. I feel I can't frame the pictures because we weren't instructed on how to stand properly so not everyone is facing toward the center and it was of course to late to go back in time and correct this. Other than the family portraits, everything was perfect. HIGHLY recommend Jorge Photography!!!! THANK YOU!! -

We decided to get some engagement pics done when we were in Tulum for a few days, and booked Jorge Rodriguez after seeing some of his work and his very reasonable prices. Very happy with our decision!! Jorge was very responsive by phone and email, we had absolutely no issues communicating even though we speak zero Spanish and were in a foreign country.
He was very attentive about the weather on the day we chose to get the photos - he told us that he always tries to book only 1 shoot a day, so that the time can be moved between morning or afternoon if the weather is not cooperating.
He spent about 2.5 hours shooting with us, even though we had booked him for only 90 minutes. He picked the location based on what we hoped to get out of the photos, which ended up being a beautiful and secluded beach. We got the edited photos exactly 1 week later, much faster than expected. And the most important part - we absolutely love the photos! He got exactly the types of shots we had asked for, and the whole experience was very easy and straightforward. -

I cannot recommend Jorge enough -- my FH is camera shy and Jorge got him comfortable and laughing quickly. Jorge is a true artist and goes above and beyond in terms of service, delivery, and communication. We couldn't be happier with our engagement photos and I'm heartbroken that we decided to do our wedding back in the US, because Jorge delivers absolutely stunning work and I was really looking forward to having him at the wedding. I had family photos taken by Jorge on our vacation to playa del carmen, MX. We were a group of 12! Jorge was friendly, responsive, patient and professional from the time I first inquired to the time of the photo session to the time after delivery of the photos! He was flexible and adapted to all of my requests. He allowed my family to do multiple wardrobe changes. He captured so many beautiful photos!! He has a true talent. Brooke Sent on 10/03/2018I had a June 2018 destination wedding at Nizuc Moon Palace Resort & Spa, Cancun Mexico. I felt the photography packages offered by the resort were overpriced for the value received so I began researching outside photographers in the area. I came across Jorge Rodriguez Photography and absolutely loved his portfolio. So many wedding photos appear staged and stuffy but it was clear Jorge had a talent for capturing amazing candid photos which is exactly what I wanted. I contacted him for pricing and was amazed and excited to realize that I could pay the resort's $1000 fee for using an external vendor and he was still more affordable than the same amount of time/photos from the resort photographer. A better value AND better quality of work! Jorge and his assistant met us at the hotel (my wedding coordinator arranged specific arrival details with him) and they were so friendly and easy to work with. We felt very awkward at first posing together for photos but he gave us great suggestions. When taking the posed family/group photos, he was very attentive to details such as having ladies adjust their hair (super windy on the beach!) or fix a crooked necklace or earring so the photos would be great. I have been in several weddings and found that few photographers pay attention to those types of things and I appreciated it so much. Jorge stayed close to the action at the reception and didn't miss a shot of any crazy dance moves! There are great photos of each and every guest as well. We had around 60 guests attend and everyone is featured in at least 1-2 of the candid photos even if they weren't dancing all night. Jorge made great suggestions like having us pose with each table to get smaller group photos with all of our guests. He also did great taking candids of the smaller children. I also really loved that Jorge's package is just for complete digital release of the photos so we are able to download them and decide later if we want prints of different sizes or quantities.

He was very professional and made the whole experience very pleasant. I was a little nervous about finally getting my pictures, because I felt a little tense since I've never taken professional pictures, but once I got them I couldn't believe how much I loved them. Nicole Sent on 08/14/2018We decided to have a destination wedding at Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa to avoid any stress of wedding planning, and we couldn't have been more thrilled. Being a photographer myself, my wedding photographer was the only stressful thing i needed to do. But it was the exact opposite. After a simple google search, I came across Jorge Rodriguez Photography, and my mind was made up! Jorge was the only person I trusted to do the job. We got married in the late afternoon. The entire day was beautiful, up until 45 minutes before the ceremony when a thunderstorm rolled in! But that didn't stop Jorge! The resort got him an umbrella, and my husband and I got married in the rain! It was a blast! I'm not going to lie, I was really nervous about how our photos were going to turn out due to the weather, but OMG they're absolutely incredible! I highly recommend Jorge Rodriguez Photography!! 12/10

They were prompt, very good at organizing and getting people where they needed to be, and did an amazing at capturing the moments. Our photos are the best wedding photos I've ever seen, and I'm not being prejudiced lol. These two are artists with an eye for the beauty of the moments. Our photos tell the story of our wedding day from beginning to end, and even if you weren't there, you could experience it all through their work. I would recommend them any day above and beyond.

Our Indian destination wedding in Puerto Morelos (outside of Cancun), Mexico was such a dream come true and we felt that Jorge captured us and our loved ones perfectly! Jorge, you truly are a master at your art! We are beyond humbled to have worked with you. For anyone considering who to use for their wedding or engagement pictures, we highly recommend Jorge.
