New Years Eve Wedding
I cannot imagine our wedding without DJ Joshua and Israel. They set the mood for the entire day! Beginning with the best communication I have ever experienced. My emails and questions were always answered in a timely and thoughtful manner. Josh spent over an hour with us going through every detail of the music planner (best planning tool EVER!!!!) to ensure that we felt confident about the flow of the entire day. They knew that we wanted to have a party vibe with a New Years Eve wedding and they more than delivered. They may have had more fun than some of the guests! They were always dancing either behind the DJ booth or on the dance floor. They truly felt as though they were part of the party as friends and not a vendor. Joshua also always made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed and even got me a drink refill before speeches. The guests loved everything about them as well as the photo booth. The memories will last a lifetime and we owe it all to Joyful Entertainment, DJ Joshua, and Israel. Thank you so much! :) -

I highly recommend Joyful Entertainment. They truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day fun and stress free. I researched numerous DJs in the Myrtle Beach area and chose them because they had amazing online reviews and their prices are very reasonable. We are so glad that we chose them. They were so easy to work with and they are truly the nicest people. They had all of our guests on the dance floor having a blast. I truly appreciate that they reached out to us numerous times prior to the wedding to see if there was anything at all that we needed. You will not regret booking them for your wedding day. Joyful Entertainment is so much more than a DJ. Last summer, my husband and I were deciding between 2 DJ’s for our wedding this past January. As soon as we talked to Johnathan Foster with Joyful on the phone, our choice was a no-brainer.
Just from the one phone call, Johnathan was personable and easy to talk to. His energy and enthusiasm were contagious - which is the perfect recipe for a DJ.
What felt like the cherry on top is that while talking to Johnathan, it became clear how much our faith and values align with his. We felt at ease and knew we were in good hands with Johnathan. And we were excited to have him at our wedding knowing we share the same views on marriage and God.
The reason why this review took so long for us to do is because we couldn’t find the words.
At the reception during dinner, one couple came up and wished us well. Before we knew it, there was a long line of people waiting to talk to us as we were trying to eat. It was a bit overwhelming honestly, and my mom picked up on that. She came up to our table and politely said that we were needed by our month-of planner for something - a decoy to take us outside, ask if we were okay, and give us a few minutes to ourselves.
Johnathan noticed all of this from across the room and without hesitation, he ran across the floor and came outside to check up on us.
We explained that we were perfectly fine! Just a bit overwhelmed as we knew everyone meant well, but we weren’t anticipating to not even be able to finish our dinner or have a short conversation just us.
Right away, Johnathan asked if we could pray. We held hands and he prayed for us.
It was exactly what we needed. It centered and grounded us; it brought us back to the sole purpose of the day. It was truly indescribable and to this day, leaves my husband and I at a loss for words. What other DJ or vendor would do that??
Our communication with Joyful throughout the planning process was seamless. They were understanding, patient, and always ready to help us however we needed. Johnathan would periodically text us to check in and share his excitement with us. His texts always seemed to come at the most chaotic, stressful times for us where that simple text was the positive pick me up that we needed.
They shared a Google doc with us to fill out and update with our song preferences & requests. It was very organized and broken down into specific parts of the night (cocktail hour, intros, during dinner, dancing).
The Google doc wasn’t just a list of suggestions, you could tell he really took it to heart and took the time to go over it as we heard a lot of songs from the list throughout the night. He was great at reading the crowd and taking requests from our guests as well.
They even put together a video for us that they sent us the very next day! It was so unexpected and so very thoughtful of them!
Joyful Entertainment was hands down one of our favorite vendors. They’re fun, friendly, selfless, attentive, and compassionate. Johnathan went above and beyond and made a lasting impact on our day that we appreciate and cherish more than we can express. Thank you so much for helping make our special day an unforgettable, dream come true! -

Joyful Entertainment consist of the best DJs around. Jonathan and his crew were so easy to work with. I had never met him and felt like I instantly knew him the day of our wedding. These guys really kept the crowd dancing all night long. The energy in the room kept our guest involved which was awesome. An AWESOME DJ will make your wedding, for sure! -

I have nothing but great things to say about this group of guys!!! They made planning so stress free and they were always very easy to get in touch with. Jacob was the DJ for our wedding reception on October 5, 2019 and he was SO great! Everyone was having fun and the dance floor had people on it at all times. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and nothing went unnoticed! Thanks Jacob!! 10/10 would recommend him to anyone! -

We can't say enough great things about our experience with Jonathan White and his team! We had Brad AKA DJ Vlad DJ our wedding reception and it was an absolute blast! Unfortunately, we had to postpone our original wedding date due to Hurricane Dorian and we were so relieved and happy that Brad was able to make it on the new date. From start to finish, both Jonathan and Brad were so easy going, professional and just flat out awesome!
As you can imagine, wedding days are hectic and Brad was so helpful by keeping the reception in order and on time, while also making sure the dance floor was full! There were quite a few people that claimed beforehand that they don't dance, but even they were out on the dance floor by the end of the night having a great time! We received several compliments on the music and professionalism of the team and I couldn't agree more with all of them. 10 out of 10 for sure! -

Amazing from start to finish!!!
My wedding happen to be the day following Hurricane Dorian The assigned DJ was resided primarily in another town. Being proactive and not knowing what would happen regarding the weather they assigned another DJ to my wedding. He contacted me via text and we spoke to go over ALL the plans from start to finish and to reassure me regarding the day. He wanted to make sure he was clear on everything I wanted that day. We didn’t know if it would be outdoors as planned or indoors. Lucas’s expertise and professionalism kept me calm.... after our call I knew he had my best Interest at heart and he would do whatever he needed to exceed my expectations. My wedding was perfect and the DJ made everything so fun and seamless!!! I couldn’t recommend a better company to work with!!! Do not hesitate!!! -

Jonathan White was absolutely amazing! If you are looking for the perfect DJ for your big day, look no further! We have been to many weddings were a lot of of people didn't not dance, and that was one of our biggest concerns for our wedding. But Jonathan White did not disappoint! We had many family members that you wouldn't even imagine getting on the dance floor, busting a move for everyone to see! He listened to everything that I wanted played and even recommended many different things I didn't even think of! His music choices were spot on from the romantic start of the ceremony to the end of the wild party! He also wasn't afraid to get out on the dance floor himself and keep the party going!!!
I couldn't have had a better experience with these guys!

I can’t say enough great things about Jonathan and the DJ we had at our wedding, Rob. From the beginning Jonathan was extremely responsive and patient as I was planning this wedding from another state. I was also planning my wedding in a matter of two months so I was a little bit scattered but Jonathan was completely patient with me, giving me reminders but not pushy whatsoever. He was totally flexible with how I wanted to cover the bill and the timing of the event. He was reachable via phone call, text, or email which was convenient.
Before the wedding I talked through details with DJ Rob on the phone twice and he was outstanding! He made so many awesome recommendations on the timeline for the reception, but ultimately still left all decisions up to me. He did an awesome job day of- he had our loose timeline but made sure to keep a good feel on the guests and adjusted the timing of things accordingly. Not only was he a great DJ, but I felt he went way above and beyond the typical responsibilities of a DJ. Rob was available to help with anything- down to carrying my food to my table for me (we had a buffet), getting me silverware, and making sure I always had enough to eat/drink. Those are just a few of the minor details he went above and beyond with!
Lastly, I wasn’t sure how long we’d want the DJ to stay but Rob was open ended and once again was willing to stay later than we planned if it felt like the guests were hanging around. Rob ended up staying a whole hour later for us!
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend using this company! They were friendly, patient, and all around awesome people and DJ’s. -

We are so glad that we went with Jonathan to be the DJ at our wedding!!! We wanted all of our guests to look back and say "wow that was a fun wedding" and let me tell you thats exactly what happened. I met with Jonathan and Candace before we decided whether to hire them and they completely put my mind at ease. They were friendly and had so many ideas. They answered questions and gave suggestions that helped move my planning in the right direction. D.J. White was the life of the party!
If you’re looking to hire a coordinator, Candace White is the absolute best! She stayed in contact throughout my planning and helped me keep up with my other vendors. Candace helped me stay calm and focused. The day of the wedding, she took so much stress off me and my mom. She even packed me and my husband some dinner plates to take after the wedding!
Hiring this team is the greatest thing you can do for your wedding! They are the best! -

DJ Jonathan Foster did my ceremony and reception and I am so glad I picked them to do my wedding. The ceremony was nothing short of perfect and lets just talk about the reception!!! Everyone talked about how great the DJ was. They danced with us, interacted with the crowd and kept the party going. He knew just what kind of music to play from beginning to end. He has a true talent of how to read the crowd and knew exactly what and when to play certain music. The dance floor was literally never empty! He kept everything on my order of events right on schedule and did an amazing job as an MC. A DJ can certainly make or break your wedding day and mine certainly MADE my wedding day. J Foster went above and beyond what was expected of him and I literally couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Thank you J Foster and J White for being the best DJ service I have ever seen! And thank you for everything from the back and forth communication before the wedding to the best reception I could have asked for. Love you guys! -

Let’s talk about the perfect night! I feel like a DJ can really make or break a wedding reception, that’s why we wanted the best. Jonathan did NOT disappoint! The whole night was exactly what my husband and I wanted: a party to celebrate with all our close people! The entire reception was FLAWLESS. Jonathan guided the night from first dances to cutting cake and toasts, and finally to opening the dance floor for the night. We had guests from ages 2-92, and not a single person failed to get out on the dance floor. Everyone I have talked to since the wedding has RAVED about how phenomenal our DJ was! I can’t say anything bad about our entire reception, and I attribute that to the quality of service we received from our vendors. Don’t skimp! Jonathan is worth every single penny, and he will surely make your wedding/reception a pleasant memory and super fun experience for everyone! -

INCREDIBLE - Worth every penny!
Jonathan White was the DJ for our New Years Eve wedding (ceremony and reception). Let's just say we never left the dance floor! I have never experienced a more high energy, detail-oriented, responsive DJ in my life, and I am so glad it was my own wedding that was such an incredible event. Jonathan was super organized through the entire process and made sure that he had all of our song requests played at the appropriate time. His set up and lights looked elegant, but professional and fun. He kept the dance floor going all night and into the New Year with his energy and keen sense of music selections for the crowd. He even got on the dance floor and added to the celebration! He made the entire event so much fun and kept everything going with the necessary cues, announcements, and perfectly followed our timeline the whole night. He arrived to our venue early to be sure he was set up and ready, checking his equipment, and meeting with our coordinator, etc. Jonathan has an incredible personality and is the key ingredient to why our wedding was so much fun! So memorable! Thank you Jonathan! If I could give a 6th star, I would. -

J. Foster did not disappoint whatsoever. If you have not booked a DJ, you need to book him. If you already have, I'm telling you that you need to cancel and hire these guys. He kept the party going from start to finish, did an excellent job with the sound system by the river for our ceremony, and the party train and limbo was so fun! I loved the lighting system and the songs he played made everyone get up and move or sing. It was so cool that he could take requests from guests so there was something for everyone. My wedding was so amazing because of them. They made the night non stop dancing, smiles and laughter. The music choice was great and guests were able to resuqest songs. Very easy to book with and very polite. I would chose them over and over again. Words can’t express how great they were. I was very stressed as a bride but Johnathan did not contribute any stress at all. The music and dancing helped me forget the stress! -

It was a smaller wedding and it thinned out quick for the holiday, but he kept everyone who stayed dancing and engaged. It was so great to see everyone having fun! He stuck to our playlist and kept it clean for all of the line/group dances. Seriously above and beyond. 10 out of 10 would recommend! -
