Jonathan us incredible. He is professional and kind. He captures not just your essence but the gorgeous landscapes as well. It is truly epic. He will make you look and feel amazing. Should have been our first choice!

Honestly we originally had another photographer picked...and we're so glad it didn't work out with them! Jonathan was exactly what we wanted, the right personality for our wedding. Fun but not unprofessional, had ideas in his head he knew would turn out even if we didn't get it (I'm a photographer myself). He wasn't afraid to get dirty to get the shots (he was knee deep in sand and ocean). And the photos speak for themselves. Alot of photographers hide behind their editing and filters, Jonathan shoots stellar photos to start with then, makes them shine even more in post-production. Highly recommend, and hope to run into him again when we visit next.

Perfect experience

My husband and I recently got married about two years ago, we were so unhappy with our wedding photos that we wanted to get our photos redone while in Kauai. Jonathan was everything we've ever wanted in a photographer. He was very kind and incredible at giving direction. The photos turned out better than we ever could have imagined. Before you say "I DO" say "YES" to Jonathan Moeller Photography

I work at a media company where I have access to talented photographers and videographers on staff. When I approached a key member of our company to help select a photographer for my wedding, hands down the recommendation was to choose Jonathan.

Personally speaking, it was important for me and my wife to choose service providers who are local to Kauai, so that we are guided by people who know the area best. And Jonathan did not disappoint.

He is professional, talented, and above all humble. In terms of budget, we opted for a package that was towards the higher end of Jonathan's solutions, and we felt the value, service, and experience received far outweighed the cost of our once in a lifetime event.

Don’t miss your chance ladies!

Jonathan is one of a kind! My husband and I didn’t have any guests. We needed an amazing photographer to capture our moment. We also didn’t want to drive to the wedding location together. Johnathan drove me to the ceremony so that we could do an actual reveal. Certainly not in his job description, but so appreciated. He was patient, and more importantly, a great coach to us through the photo taking process. I told him I’m not a model so if I’m looking weird, tell me lol! He was a professional and a pleasure to spend time with. He gave us great tips that made the final product better. The photos turned out absolutely amazing and we were so pleasantly surprised with the additional gift included.

We're so grateful that we got Jonathan to document our wedding. He replies quickly, easy and fun to talk to, and is very organized & definitely professional. He was so kind and friendly and made me feel comfortable during our bridal prep photos as well. It was also good that he is based on the island and has worked with some of the other suppliers that we got as well. He was flexible and adjusted with changes in our program and got a lot of really good photos for us to remember our special day. :) We got to see all the photos in less than a month! I especially love how he beautifully captured all the colors of the sky and sea and landscape during that day too, as well as all the little details that we didn't get to notice on the day. Plus, he sent us a photo slideshow of some highlights as a bonus! Thanks Jonathan!

Amazing Kauai Photographer

Jonathan is an amazing photographer. We are so happy with the wedding photos and our wedding guests also love the photos that he took of them. He knows exactly which location, time, and angle to take the best photos on Kauai. He worked really well with our videographer (not from Hawaii) and helped plan our time efficiently. We wanted additional photo sessions after the wedding but it was raining a lot in Kauai so it was hard to pick a date. Thankfully Jonathan was super responsive and was able confirm our email request on the day of for a sunset photo session!

Wedding saved by Jonathan Moeller

We originally should get married in Hanalei Bay, but when we arrived, the weather was very bad. It was raining cats and dogs, the visibility was low and the waves were high. After waiting for the wedding party to arrive, Jonathan made a few calls and suggested to move to another location.
We drove over one hour to Shipwreck's Beach, where we found paradise!
The ceremony went perfect and the shooting afterwards was brilliant for it was our first photoshoot ever.
Jonathan knows exactly what he wants and he is pure perfection in what he does.
The pictures are just perfect and they are the best memories we could imagine.

We were so lucky to have Jonathan shoot our wedding. From day one he was professional and prompt about returning my emails with my many, many questions. For the big day, not only was he extremely professional (punctual for our sunrise photos, knew every pose I wanted off the top of his head, blended in with the background during the ceremony, etc) but he went so far beyond what I was expecting. We went with the “Manini” package that included 2 locations. Unfortunately, one of the locations my husband and I chose wasn’t as beautiful as we imagined. Jonathan himself asked if he could take us to a different location that he loved. Then he took us to another one after that! We have pictures from 4 locations now! I can’t believe how generous he was and even stayed longer than he was paid to. The amazing pictures speak for himself. I can’t say more than what his portfolio already shows. His artistic style and experience easily make him one of Hawaii’s best photographers. Post wedding, he continued to amaze me. Not only did he have our completed pictures back in 3 weeks (I was shocked!) but he gave us double the pictures we were promised and made us a video slideshow! Absolutely stunning photos and Jonathan made it all so easy and fun... we can't take our eyes of the photos from the day. Jonathan shot our private wedding ceremony at Hanalei Bay and he was a pleasure to work with. We had never even had photos together, but he was very helpful and patient and gave great guidance on how to act/stand/pose etc. Our pictures turned out incredible!! We've gotten SO many compliments! But the cherry on top is that you can tell that Jonathan is very passionate about what he does and he loves what he does. It's very apparent. And that is really priceless to me. It absolutely shows in his work. We will be using Jonathan for any other photo needs we have on Kauai ever again!

I was totally blown away by the photos Jonathan was able to capture. His work is amazing! I was worried the light rain that day before and after the ceremony would make it difficult to get any great photos. Jonathan wasn’t hindered by the weather issue and knew how to get the right angles and best shots for us. He truly is a gifted photographer who cares about what his clients want for their special day. We had lots of little grandkids and he knew how to get their attention and the cutest candid shots as well. I get teary eyed every time I watch our video he made and look through our photos. He even chose the perfect song to go with our video. I’m so thankful my daughter Lori, helped find him for us. We live in California and had no idea who to hire for our wedding day. I would definitely choose Jonathan again to be my wedding photographer. He did an awesome job with our engagement shoot and so we already had really high expectations for our wedding. He was great to work with both professionally and artistically and he has a great eye for beautiful shots. He also helps you pose so you look natural and not weird and awkward. During my wedding, it rained, and he was able to adjust his plans on the fly. I think his price is more than fair for the quality of work he delivers. If you want breathtaking photos, definitely choose Jonathan!

4 years ago this moment Jonathan was photographing our wedding.
Today I re-posted one photo from the album on Facebook, and received response comments like "Most amazing wedding photos I have ever seen."

If I could give Jonathan a 20 out of 10 I would! He was one of the best photographers I have ever worked with and his pictures are absolutely stunning! My husband and I were blown away by his work. Selecting Jonathan as our wedding photographer exceeded expectations through not only the clear time and attention he took in order to provide beautiful photos, but also in his professionalism throughout the process. Because we decided not to hire a wedding videographer, there was a lot of pressure to make sure our wedding photos were extraordinary. I was put at ease when I noticed the extra attentiveness that Jonathan placed on setting each photo and it is clear that he is passionate about his work. We also had a very large wedding, and Jonathan managed to capture striking artistic photos while at the same time remained extremely methodical and succinct when gathering all of our wedding guests for a group photo. Jonathan's photos managed to capture the intimacy of our wedding while at the same time highlighted the beauty of Kauai. Jonathan was truly amazing.. from communicating with him before hand to actually getting to know him was amazing! If you want PERFECTION, FUN and AMAZING all around photos, Jonathon is the photographer for you. Jonathon took our vow renewal photos this year and did our family photos a year ago (our kids think he is "cool"). Jonathon captures everything! Jonathan's prices are steeper than many other photographers on the island. But it was some of the best money we ever spent! You just can't beat his aesthetic photos. He has won prizes and contests for his photos, we did our research and wanted the best photographer on the island and that's what we got. We are so happy with our photos. Also, I was SO impressed with Jonathan ALWAYS promptly responding to things. He was just on top of everything from day one of booking with him. I never had any worries. He's also extremely kind and easy to work with. We were really nervous about posing for pictures and weren't sure what to do but Jonathan took care of everything and made the pictures look perfect.

Jonathan is amazing breathtaking photos, original and stunning. Not your average cookie cutter photographer. We got the top of the line package which included everything and for the price we paid he is worth every penny. It is VERY REASONABLE FOR EVERYTHING HE OFFERS. Jonathan is a true genius and artist of photography! He was the photographer for my brother's wedding last year (including the most stunning sunset pictures) and my wedding last month (including a separate sunrise photo shoot). We have the most exceptional photos that truly do look like they belong in a magazine. The pictures will bring us a lifetime of memories and smiles. Shortly after getting engaged, my fiancé, Justin, and I decided we wanted to make our engagement pictures just as special and unique as possible. While all engagement pictures are special in their own right, we wanted ours to differ from the typical images seen routinely on social media. We hoped to accomplish two things: capture our love for one another and showcase the stunning island of Kauai.
After reading tons of reviews on multiple photographers, we decided to go with Jonathan, and we have never looked back. Not only was Jonathan incredibly kind and professional, he was timely and responsive with every correspondence. He was accommodating of our time, weather concerns and even my need for an outfit change halfway through (Yes, I’m that girl!).
The photo session was easy, comfortable and over before we knew it. We received our photos and video much quicker than I had ever expected, and I mean it when I say-we were completely blown away.
To me, the greatest photos are the ones that tell a story in the most authentic and genuine way possible. The pictures Jonathan took told the story of us, conveying that “thing” that is hard to even put into words but somehow so evident in a photo. The images capture every look, every nuance, and all the little details of our feelings for one another. The setting of Kauai, with its jutting mountains and beautiful beaches, made the perfect backdrop.
An engagement is a pivotal and celebrated time, and we could not be happier with the photographer we chose to capture the sweetest season in both our lives. Thank you, Jonathan!

Jonathan photographed our wedding at the Hanalei Bay Resort. I was impressed with the quality of the pictures and the variety. They are amazing! Jonathan was professional and easy to work with. Recently worked with Jonathan Moeller on Kauai's north shore for our 10 year vow renewal, recommended among a number of photographers by Alli Kauai wedding coordinators. We chose Jonathan after spending extensive time looking over all 5 photographers, and chose Jonathan for his unique style, artistry, and fine tuning of light as evidenced by his work on his website. I could tell by his work that he would be able to capture us at our best, as we are both camera/attention shy (my husband HATES photos of himself). He was a joy to work with, super mellow and easy going, and able to direct/guide us for the perfect photos. He was attentive to what we were looking for and worked with us when we were uncomfortable, patiently guiding us from pose to pose. He is also prompt in returning your emails, and gives you your pictures, EDITED, quickly! My favorite was the surprise slideshow set to music he sends you! I have never seen such an amazing photographer and we lived in NYC for 5 years and attended many weddings in the NY metro. He is the most artistic photographer I have seen, and we can't wait to have another opportunity to work with him again in the future.

This was our second time working with Jonathan and we could not have been happier with how our photos turned out. He was very flexible with our wants and needs and was able to work with us to capture everything we wanted. Not only does he have a GREAT eye but he’s reliable, professional and easy and fun to work with. We knew we wanted Jonathan to photograph our wedding as soon as we looked around his web site. It perfectly represents the kind of work that he does - it’s thorough, well organized and has stunning photography. Jonathan takes his work seriously and is really helpful throughout the whole process – a true plus when you live halfway across the country from where you’re planning your wedding.

Jonathan shot our wedding in August but we’ve been working with him for over a year now. You have to remember that your relationship with your photographer doesn’t end on your wedding day. You will be working with this person before, during and after your wedding so you want someone who is reliable, responsive and actually cares about doing a good job for you. And this guy does. In fact, he has gone above and beyond our expectations.

His photos are beautiful. He has a way of capturing the emotion of what’s happening in everything he shoots. It’s awesome to see your photos and really feel what was happening in that moment. He captures many things that you’ve forgotten and does it all in a way that really tells the story of your day.

We LOVE our wedding photos and will book Jonathan again if we ever have another big event in Hawaii. His photos are stunning and he's just great at what he does.

Jonathan is such a great guy and although Shawn and I have never taken professional photos together, he made us feel calm and comfortable. In my mind, we were almost too silly and just acting like our normal selves that I couldn't imagine how wonderful our engagement photos would turn out. While planning our Kauai destination wedding from California we searched far and wide for the right photographer. I am pleased to report our experience with Jonathan Moeller was nothing short of spectacular.

Honestly, we could not be happier with the experience. From his availability during the planning phase to his relaxed and professional presence on our wedding day- not to mention the breathtaking finished product; he did an excellent job capturing our special moments….

There is a difference between the standard wedding photography and what Jonathan does. His familiarity as a local from Kauai, his background in photojournalism, his unique perspective, he captures the day in a natural, accurate and beautiful way. I was impressed by Jonathan's professionalism from day one. I was simply delighted when he shared a sneak peek a mere two days after the wedding. I expected the rest of our wedding photos to arrive in 4-6 weeks and was thrilled when we got all 500+ photos back less than 1 weeks later! He was even thoughtful and kind enough to provide us with a gift, a spectacular slideshow with a few video clips we did not even know existed.

I have no doubt that Jonathan was the right choice. He far surpassed my high expectations. It is not often that you find such talent, work ethic, reliability, and professionalism all in one person! Jonathan is amazing! His photo's are so unique compared to other photographers. He really looks how he can bring you and the background out the best way possible. Our experience with Jonathan was nothing short of spectacular. His communication style is so friendly and upbeat, it really helps you feel that he's genuinely excited to meet you and photograph your special day. He responds promptly and is always willing to offer ideas for shooting locations etc. We booked Jonathan about 1.5 years out from our wedding and our plans changed numerous times. Jonathan was always so easy to approach about the changes and was more than willing to accommodate our new plans. This meant SO much to us and further solidified that we had chosen the right guy :). The day of was such a blast too. Jonathan is so friendly and easy to talk to and he's great at giving directions and helping you feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. We got caught in a bit of a tropical storm for the last half of our shoot, but it didn't even matter. We got some awesome shots and it was pretty cool to huddle under an umbrella with Jonathan and just chat and get to know each other better. Our photos are amazing, we're so impressed with Jonathan's artistic ability and his ninja-like skills in getting all those different angles. We got a few sneak peek photos while still on our honeymoon and the rest of our photos were ready in only 3 weeks! He also surprised us with a photo slideshow including video footage of the day. So sneaky and such a wonderful surprise! We highly recommend Jonathan. You will not be disappointed!

I am terrible with making decisions but hiring Jonathan was the one thing I never questioned and I am so glad I did! He is very responsive and helpful with choosing locations and timelines. On our wedding day he made us feel so comfortable even though we are not great in front of a camera. He was incredibly professional and sweet - and nobody brings out colors in their photos like Jonathan does - he is definitely an artist! Highly recommend!

Jonathan's photos are amazing! He took some really beautiful shots of our sunset wedding. He was very flexible in letting us choose the location and time of the event. He sent us about 150 photographs and there are plenty of them that we would like to frame. He has a good way of telling people how to pose and knows where the best spots are to take the photos. He is good with lighting and has top notch photographic equipment. Also he is excellent at capturing certain moments that have a lot of expression and emotion. We definitely recommend him!

Not only are we impressed by his photography, Jonathan was efficient throughout the whole planning process. He answered all my questions quickly, at the most by the next day, and honored my requests the day of our wedding. Working with him was also a dream, he was professional and worked very well with our group. He also made us feel at ease (and was a great "coach" while we were taking pictures), which is an important quality in a photographer! Our posed pictures turned out AMAZING and so did our candid ones! We would choose him again and was worth the price! Fine art photography is completely worth it for your wedding day!

Jonathan is simply the best. He made the whole experience enjoyable and stress free. We could just tell throughout the process that he was good at what he does. Also, our high quality pictures were made available to us earlier than we expected, which was helpful since we were trying to put together our own slideshow for our friends and family who couldn't make it to Hawaii for our destination wedding. Posted by me on Yelp on 2/25/16: Our wedding was only yesterday so I haven't seen the final results yet, but I wanted to get online and say first and foremost, what an absolute joy it was to work with Jonathan....we saw a few of the photos he took from the screen on the camera and they were AMAZING! I couldn't believe they hadn't been "Photoshopped". They were THAT magnificent. He has an artistic eye that is unbelievable...Also, he's just fun and easy to work with, which is exactly what we wanted for our destination wedding. He came to our house and took some shots of us around the grounds and getting ready, and then we went out to Ke'e Beach for the ceremony. I CANNOT WAIT to see the final results! Book him!!!!! You know the moment you find "the one" wedding dress? And how it's supposed to be emotional? Well, nothing that dramatic happened to me with my dress (though I did like it), but I DID experience that moment when I came across Jonathan Moeller's portfolio.

There's a difference between normal wedding photography and what Jonathan does. If you read about him on his website (...which I did, in length), you'll learn that he has a background in photojournalism. That means Jonathan has professional experience and training in capturing moments - important moments! He's able to showcase Kauai's beautiful nature while taking candid pictures of his subjects.

I changed my wedding plans a dozen times after booking Jonathan, but he was always extremely responsive and accommodating. He learned everyone's names ahead of time (I sent him a list of guests per his request) and was punctual. Everyone felt at ease around Jonathan, including my husband who usually hates having his picture taken.

I was impressed by Jonathan's professionalism and strategy while taking our photos. I was ecstatic when we received a dozen sneak peek photos two days later! Likewise, I expected the rest of our wedding photos to arrive in 4-6 weeks and was totally fine with that. Imagine my surprise when we got all 500+ photos back less than 1.5 weeks later!

Honestly, the most important part of my wedding planning was getting Jonathan Moeller to document my day. He surpassed my very high expectations, and all my family and friends have told me that my wedding photos are the most stunning ones they have ever seen. You will regret it if you don't book Jonathan Moeller! It's not often that you find top-notch talent, work ethic, reliability, and professionalism all in one person!

The only thing I was going to be particular about for the wedding was a good photographer. After researching the internet for great reviews, coupled with amazing pictures, we found Jonathan. He was available to work on Thanksgiving, and after meeting him via Skype, we booked him. One of the best decisions we made for the wedding. Not only are his photographs unbelievable, he is very professional and super helpful. He recommended our videographer for us to use the day of our wedding, among other people on the island. All of which were super helpful, as we were putting a wedding together in three months. Everything was more perfect than I could have even imagined. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer on Kauai. My mom still cries every time she looks at our photos -- a sign that he has a true talent. :)

I cannot express how great of an experience we had with Jonathan Moeller. He is so incredibly artistic and professional! he has no problem with directing a shoot to capture some of the best photos you could ever imagine. We were lucky enough to have him shoot our elopement / wedding ceremony on Kauai... we managed to get an awesome sunset and Jonathan even asked us to pose for a couple more photos after he had started to wrap things up just to capture those extra brilliant shots! He could have easily just clocked out for the evening .. but he's passionate about his photography...he cares about his clients and he cares about his work and he is doing what he loves and it shows. Thank you Jonathan for the lovely photos. We received them almost exactly 4 weeks after our ceremony which is when he told us to expect them. It was our pleasure to have had you on our wedding day!

When we decided to have our wedding in Kauai, finding a good photographer was at the top of the list. When we found Jonathan's work, we were in awe, all of his work was so incredibly beautiful, the compositions, the style, the creativity, the way he uses light...we knew we had to have him and were so happy that he was available! We did both a trash the dress photoshoot as well as full coverage of our wedding day and Jonathan was truly AMAZING! The way that he directed us was seamless, he was very professional, a lot of fun, and he knew just how to catch the perfect shots. If you want amazing photos of your wedding (or other special event) then you should definitely choose Jonathan Moeller! His photos are AMAZING! My husband and I were recently married in Kauai (Hanalei Bay) and we are extremely pleased that we decided to work with Jonathan. From the beginning, he was easy to reach and responsive to all of my questions (which I had a lot of!) and this continued to be the case throughout the entire process. This was helpful as I was coordinating our wedding from Washington, DC. He is nice, down to earth, timely and easy to work with as well.

Jonathan did a great job of recommending poses and seamlessly moving us and our families through the various shots. We had a blast with our photo shoot on the beach and it was equally fun to take nighttime pictures at our wedding dinner. The end result are stunning photos...some of which have backdrops that are so gorgeous they almost look unreal. Our friends and family have commented over and over how outstanding our wedding pictures are and the slideshow that Jonathan prepared, which is an awesome reminder of our special day :) Jonathan is truly talented and I would not hesitate for one second to recommend him. I cannot say enough good things about his work!

I actually spent about 2-3 hours doing my homework on Kauai photographers. I came across Jonathan's site a few times. Having been a photographer myself, (mainly real estate though) I had a specific thing I was looking for in others portfolios, that was only present in Jonathan's photos. He was prompt, courteous and very flexible! He was even a sport when 10mn before our time slot, I burned myself and spilled water all over me, making us late relatively late. Not a complaint! We've gotten our photos back, and my boyfriend was crying. Amazing job!! Anytime we're there I don't think we'll be using anyone else.

Jonathan Moeller is amazing!! I planned my Kauai wedding from Seattle, WA and he was so wonderful to work with. I was able to communicate with him via email beforehand and he was always prompt in his reply and really understanding about certain shots I wanted.

On the day of the wedding, he did such an amazing job getting everyone together and posing us all. By the end of the day he was laughing and joking around with all of our guests, it was almost as if he was one of us!! It really helped to make the photo taking process more relaxed and comfortable.

When I got my pictures back....I was completely blown away. They were better then I ever thought possible and I was SO SHOCKED as to how many photos he actually took. There were photos that I had no idea he was taking. There was one photo though, that I will forever be grateful for Jonathan taking. My grandfather passed four years ago, and we had an in memory lei ordered and placed it on a chair during the ceremony, next to my grandmother. Being so wrapped up in the day, I never got the chance to see it on the chair before they moved all the chairs inside and I was devastated. I was also upset that not one of my guests got a photo of it. When I was looking through my photos, there among all 895 of them, was a photo of the lei on the chair and I about cried. Him getting that photo, meant more to me than words can say.

If you are looking for a photographer who will keep you calm and who produces one of a kind, absolutely, amazing photos; then you 100% must book with Jonathan Moeller. He is #1 in my book!! AND he recommended a wonderful videographer as well!!

We decided to get married on Kauai and not in Germany where we come from. We compared the websites of all photographers
on Kauai and we found Jonathan Moeller with most beautiful photos.
We hired Jonathan to make photos of our wedding on Kauai and it was the best decision we made. His work is very professional and it made a lot of fun to work with him. We were concerned about the weather (clouds, rain...) but the photos we received are amazing and in a perfect quality. When we come back to Hawaii we will definitely contact Jonathan for more beautiful photos. We highly recommend Jonathan Moeller for anyone who wants to have perfect photos.

By far the BEST photographer in Kauai! His work is amazing. We had a small destination wedding ceremony in Kauai and wanted great photos to take back to our family and friends in Texas. We are so glad we picked Jonathan to capture our special day. He was quick to respond to any questions we had, very professional and sweet. Jonathan's work exceeded my expectations. I hired him through a wedding planner while planning my elopement on Kauai and am so glad I did. My husband surprised me one afternoon before our wedding with the idea of getting professional photos taken on our honeymoon, and I absolutely loved the idea! We set about choosing a photographer, and after seeing several websites for photographers in Kauai that we felt lacked the sophistication and artistry we were looking for, we finally found Jonathan Moeller Photography. Our expectations were blown away when we got to experience the photo shoot. Jonathan truly captured the spirit of our romantic honeymoon so authentically and his photos show our love the way it really is. I think this is equally attributable to his talent in photography (especially his exquisite use of light) and to his personable working style which made it so comfortable to just "be us" in his presence. The day we received the link to our online gallery was such a good day. We loved seeing his work and being immediately "brought back" to beautiful Kauai. These photos will be loved for a lifetime. We highly recommend Jonathan Moeller for anyone who values truly masterful photography and desires for their relationship or special moment in life to be depicted authentically. Jonathan shot our destination wedding on Kauai; before selecting Jonathan, we reviewed the portfolios of at least a dozen other wedding photographers on the island. Jonathan Moeller photography was the clear choice - he takes gorgeous photos, and really knows how to incorporate the stunning scenery of the island into his images. We chose Jonathan to photograph our ceremony after looking at his previous wedding photos on his website. His work is fantastic and he has an artistic eye for capturing stunning photographs! I knew I wanted him to capture the most wonderful day in our lives; and no one else.

Jonathan went past the amount of time we expected he would be photographing us; because of the beautiful setting of our ceremony (we got married at sunset at Hanalei Bay in Kauai) and his passion for creating beautiful photos. He was so comfortable to work with as well as being professional.

Our photographs are absolutely beautiful and we couldn't be happier. We have received so many comments on how beautiful our photographs are. Through them, we will always be able to live this day like it was yesterday!

I loved Jonathan's work when I came across his website on-line as I was looking for a photographer since I had a destination wedding. He came on-time to do my wedding prep shots. Then we got to the venue and Bammm he had all these creative ideas with my bridal party. We had so much fun having him directing us which was 6 hours of smiling. Jonathan was exemplary in every aspect of his service as our photographer for our wedding. From our first point of contact via email to the end our photo shoot, he was very professional, receptive, and energetic. Jonathan shot our intimate elopement ceremony for one hour, and during that time, he did an exceptional job at giving us direction for poses, and making us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. My husband and I had a lot of fun shooting with him because Jonathan guided us so well, and the session couldn’t have flowed more smoothly. What sets Jonathan apart from other photographers is when you shoot with him, you can sense that this isn’t just a job for him; he has a true passion for creativity and perfection. We couldn't feel more blessed to have Jonathan photograph our wedding in Kauai! It can be so nerve racking to try to choose vendors for a destination wedding from far away, but from our first contact with him, he put us at ease, He was prompt, sweet, and calming and made my husband and I feel relaxed when getting our pictures taken (and we both dislike it, greatly :) though we only booked him a short time for our small, intimate wedding he really took his time to make sure he got all the right shots! I really can't recommend him enough! The sneak peek photos he sent us, were beyond beautiful! He is incredibly talented ! Jon is an amazing photographer with an artistic eye. My wife and I just received our wedding photos and we are stunned by the results. There are so many incredible photos, we don't know how we will choose which ones to print, or find enough space in our house to display all of the photos we love. One thing especially unique to Jon is his ability to capture the emotions of different individuals. Jonathan was an amazing photographer. Wonderful personality and extremely great to work with. I found Jonathan through wedding wire and thought his photos were stunning and artistic. I currently live in MA, but lived on the Big Island a majority of my life. I was planning my wedding from the east coast to get married at home. I contacted him right away, not realizing he lived on a different island until after I sent the email. Jonathan responded right away and was extremely bummed because I realized he was on a different island. Jonathan said that didn't matter and frequently took trips to various islands and was free on my wedding date. Without hesitation I booked him. I met with him the day of the wedding and showed him the ceremony site and reception area. We even snuck away during dinner to take more pictures of just my husband and I. His prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and should charge more for the amazing work he does. He showed me a few photos on his camera during the wedding and I was more than pleased. I am SOOOO excited to see the photos from our wedding on July 5. I would suggest jonathan for anyone who plans to get married. He's a great guy and does amazing work!! I highly suggest anyone to book weddings or any other events with him.

Jonathan was spectacular! He graciously helped us when our photography was tragically killed. I was stressed and upset, but he made us feel comfortable and at ease.

He met us a few days before the event to go over minor details. On the day of the event, he gladly went along with my family's craziness. Even when we told him I want to hitch hike to the ceremony. Talk about getting hitched!

He took the time to take all the photos we wanted and used the natural beauty of Hawaii to make our photos gorgeous. He had a knack for finding the right light and stopping to take advantage of all the little details that make a photo perfect. He showed us a few throughout the evening and we were beyond impressed. I can't wait to see all of them!

Jonathan felt right at home with our families. He even stayed a little longer to capture our cake cutting even though we were a bit behind schedule. I will definitely use Jonathan again for future photos on the island.

After we saw my cousin's beautiful wedding photographs, we knew we had to have Jonathan photograph our wedding. We loved his photographs so much, we had him fly from Kauai, Hawaii to our wedding location outside Philadelphia. He was absolutely incredible. He went to our wedding site before the event to scope out where to take photos so everything was seamless. He had so many creative ideas for photographs, even though I typically have difficulty taking pictures, I felt very comfortable. He put so much attention into each of his photographs, it was as though each one was a painted for hours. I feel fortunate to have had such a wonderful photographer for my wedding day!

From the very beginning, when I contacted Jonathan a year before our destination wedding, he was wonderful to work with! He was always quick to respond to my e-mails and was very professional and friendly when I spoke with him on the phone. Jonathan and his assistants went above and beyond to capture our wedding day beautifully on film. We have so many stunning pictures that truly capture our love and fun moments from our wedding day. I have no idea which pictures we will frame because we love them all! Jonathan is a true artist and a very talented photographer. We were so lucky when Jonathan offered us videography services as he is looking into offering this service in the future (if this service is offered by Jonathan and his videographer Jon definitely pursue this option!). The trash the dress session we did with Jonathan was so much fun (we felt like we were hanging out with an old friend at that point) and we have even more amazing pictures from that session too! Jonathan's love of photography and passion for creating amazing images for his clients is present throughout all of his work. I would highly recommend Jonathan to any couple/family looking for photography in Kauai!
