Possibly the best wedding band on the entire East Coast

I say this without hyperbole: I wouldn't be surprised if the John Parker Band is the best wedding band on the entire East Coast. These guys ROCK. And they bring personality — John always has a fan blowing his long blond 80s-style locks as he performs, and he occasionally breaks out a keytar. The whole band is wildly talented. We hired an 8-piece for our May 2023 wedding, and our guests would not stop talking about how this was the best wedding band they'd ever experienced. They play an expansive range of music that's appreciated by a wide array of people, and they're detail-oriented in the planning process so you get exactly what you want on the big day.

My tip (besides hiring this band): Don't give them too many music recommendations. Give them a general idea of what you like and don't like, and let John read the room — he's a pro at it. The band even learned our first dance song just for our wedding, as it wasn't on their list of 1,000 tracks they already knew — we hadn't expected it, and it was a sweet surprise. This band is worth every penny. It MAKES the wedding. (This was actually my third John Parker performance. My husband and I had seen him play multiple weddings before, and we literally planned our wedding date around his availability.)

Amazing band!

The John Parker Band was absolutely amazing from the start! Our wedding got pushed back due to COVID & then we ended up having a venue change. Throughout the process, they were extremely helpful & flexible all that was happening. Fast forward to the wedding... OMG I can't even begin to explain how great the band was. You know the phrase, "you just had to be there." The set up (great), sound (great), energy (great)! John Parker & the crew had people dancing/singing/cheering from the start. If you get the chance, I would highly recommend hiring The John Parker Band for any event you might have!

John parker band!?!

Seriously, a concert at our wedding!!! We had the time of our lives and left it all out on the floor🕺💃JPB was getting compliments all night long!! Really couldn't believe how great it sounded but when I turned around it was a full on band!! SMOOTH... is the way I can describe the way John and the band conduct their gig. Truly talented and professional band that knows how to capture a crowd. They also helped to time a special surprise perfectly where we had the Bottle Dancers interrupt our first dance!! They worked directly with the dancers and nailed it!! We couldn't be happier with our decision to choose John Parker Band, and now we know who to book for our next party! Thanks guys!!

Best Wedding Band in Pittsburgh

I had been to a few other weddings where they performed and had so much fun at each one. It was an easy decision to have them play at ours. They were fantastic.

Amazing!!!!!

John Parker is talented, fun, classy, and just all around the best!!! HIre him immediately for any event! He definitely took all the stress off of our shoulders and ensured a fun and organized day. I wish I could give him 5 billion stars!!

Unbelievable

My husband and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dreamscape. They helped to make our special night the most incredible evening. To say they were phenomenal is an understatement! Throughout the night, EVERYONE had such great things to say about Dreamscape. Our guests have even continued to talk about their spectacular performance to this day. There wasn't one minute throughout the entire night that we weren't all on the dance floor, smiling, enjoying the evening, to simply say- having the time of their lives! The way that they interacted with all of us throughout the night kept the night alive and something that we will all never forget. I, especially, loved when Tammi let me sing my favorite songs with her! I truly will never forget these many memories.

We, and our guests, were in complete awe when Dreamscape performed during dinner. They sang Opera, and even performed in Italian, which meant so much to so many of us.

When Jonathan and I think about Dreamscape and the evening we are speechless and brings tears to our eyes. We cannot thank Dreamscape enough for making our special night unforgettable.

Wonderful band that made for a wonderful night!

Dreamscape did a phenomenal job and made our daughter's wedding truly special. They played during dinner songs that warmed our hearts and people of every age enjoyed. They entertained everyone of all ages and everyone had a wonderful time and could not stop complimenting the band. They were on time, understood the crowd and were truly a class act. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how wonderful the band was and how much fun they had at the wedding. We highly recommend Tammy, Dreamscape and John Parker Bands, you won't be disappointed!

JPB made our wedding the event of the year!

If we could give John Parker and his band more than 5 stars, we would in a heartbeat! From the beginning of our wedding to the very end, they were absolutely wonderful and took every ounce of stress off of our shoulders so that we could just sit back and ENJOY. They played our ceremony music, our entire reception, and kept the ball rolling and all of our guests happy in between. We cannot thank you guys enough for all that you did for us! Our guests are still talking about how much they loved you guys and how much fun they had. THANK YOU! You guys rock!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! If you are searching for band, you do not need to look any further and should 100% book John Parker Band. He made our reception so much fun and truly was the highlight of our evening. We have received so many compliments from family and friends following our wedding saying how amazing the band was and that they have never been to such a fun wedding before ours. John Parker is extremely personable, professional, and responsive. It was so easy to get in touch with him via email and phone. I truly cannot recommend John Parker Band enough!! They are absolutely fantastic and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Our wedding reception was perfect because of them!!

JP Band and City Heat Bands are Fabulous!

The JP Band and City Heat Bands performed at the weddings of our two daughters who were married this year, one in Pittsburgh and the other in Cleveland. The John Parker Band group is easy to work with, professional and absolutely entertaining. The wedding guests at both weddings were wowed by both John Parker Bands. We could not imagine using any other band group for a wedding or other significant event!! John Parker's bands are fabulous!

Phenomenal!

Absolutely Amazing! I hired the John Parker Band for my sisters wedding and I cannot say enough about them. They were phenomenal. The guests never sat down! We asked John to play an additional two hours which he did with no problem because everyone just loved him. You cannot go wrong with this Band. None compare!

Exceptional Service!

John Parker and his band (Dreamscape) provided both excellent service and communication from the time we hired them throughout the wedding. John went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect and everything we wanted. From the moment the band arrived on our wedding day they were very attentive to our needs and asks. They not only started the party and got everyone on the dance floor, but kept the party going all night and were by far the best decision out of all of our vendors. Even a month after our wedding we are still getting compliments on the band on how much everyone liked them. We cannot say thank you enough for making our day so special!

John Parker Band was awesome!

We used John Parker Band for our wedding in Pittsburgh in June 2019 and they were absolutely amazing!! John made us feel at ease by talking through the timeline leading up to the wedding and did a perfect job as MC — fun, professional, and classy. He gave us some very helpful recommendations along the way while listening to what we wanted. They played the music we liked, read the crowd well to keep everyone dancing, and had everyone having fun the whole night! We continue to get compliments from our guests. We couldn’t be happier that we booked John Parker Band...we HIGHLY recommend booking them!

Dreamscape was Great

We recently had Dreamscape perform at my daughter’s wedding reception at Phipps. They were fantastic! They performed during dinner with an appropriate selection of music. Once the dancing started it did not stop. The selection was excellent. All the performances were crisp and well done. The music just kept coming all night. We wish that they could have kept playing all night.
Their rendition of “Lullabye” from Billy Joel for the Father-Daughter dance touched my heart.
I would highly recommend them!
p.s. their version of “Shut and Dance with Me” is better than the original.

Best wedding performer I've experienced

John Parker Band played at my older sister's wedding and they were outstanding! They were professional, very energetic, captivating, engaging, and played hits from across several decades. But most importantly they sounded awesome! I had not before, and doubt that I will experience a wedding performance like JPB. I highly recommended them.

Best Band, Hands Down!

An amazing band and would recommend them for any future events. Brought a lot of fun and energy the entire night. Catalog of music ranged from 70's classics to today's top hits. Was a night to remember and mainly because of the band.

Twice as Great -- Wedding and Birthday Party

John has played at two functions for me at The Duquesne Club in Pittsburgh. My Daughter's wedding and my Friend's birthday party.

We had such a great experience with Dreamscape, one of the John Parker Bands. John Parker was very responsive to our questions from the beginning and helped us decide exactly which band would be best for our event. Our guests absolutely loved the energy and had so much fun throughout the night - we even extended the band an extra half hour to keep the dancing going! The band sounded incredible - there were points during the dinner when they were singing so well it sounded like a recording. During the dancing, they brought such a fun energy and kept the event moving at a great pace. They didn't completely follow our requested list, but hit the key songs and made selections that kept our guests filling the dance floor.

We are so thankful we chose John Parker Band for our wedding reception entertainment and John as an announcer. The band truly WOWED the crowd. We received an unreal amount of compliments. My sister in laws both said that my father in law did not dance at either of their weddings, but the music John and band preformed had him moving his feet on the dance floor! John has a sense of knowing exactly the songs the guests are vibing to and chooses the best music to keep up the momentum. They were kind, professional, excellent with communication and sounded amazing. He really made everyone feel at ease and have the best time dancing. We couldn't believe the quality of the music. They didn't even take a break! Thank you John Parker and band for sharing your evening with us and making it extra special.

John Parker Band is the absolute BEST!! From the first song to the last song, the dance floor was packed! So many guests kept coming up to us commenting on how great the band was! John was so easy to work with and helped ensure there was a good flow to the reception and maximized dancing time. We could not recommend John Parker and his band enough! Without question, Dreamscape "John Parker Bands" elevated our daughters' reception to the highest level. Wedding guests were out on the floor dancing the entire evening. The next morning we learned that many of the other hotel guests staying at Bedford Springs thought about crashing our reception! Thank you for a memorable evening!

We recently hired John Parker and his band to perform at our wedding in Jupiter, FL 10/29/2017. I will tell you that all of my guests rave about two things from my wedding, my Bride in her gown and John Parker!!!! Planning our wedding I would imagine was pretty typical, tons of stress, money spent and moving parts to manage. John was by far the easiest vendor for us to work with, he is professional, well mannered, very conscientious and a consummate professional when it comes to running his business. He was always available for calls, questions and returned emails timely. Oh, and his band is the BEST. Great performance and kept the dance floor humming all night. Great mix of the classics and brand new top hits all mixed with our requests. He also handle the music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and played emcee. A++++ and I will definitely be booking him again for future events.

So, if you want the BEST band around, you truly need to book the John Parker Band!! They MAKE the party!! We had them play at my daughter's wedding, and after 2 months, people are still talking about the wedding and the BAND... and that it was the best wedding they have ever been at! We could not have been happier with the JPBand! They seriously created such a fun and entertaining atmosphere for the wedding. When commenting on the wedding every guest commented on them, "WOW, that band was unbelievable" They nailed every one of the "special" songs that were chosen. So much fun!!!

We are an older couple who wanted a small band to play music from the 40's and 50's along with some jazz and blues for our small outdoor wedding John Parker found us the perfect band in The Catro Band. The guys were terrific and played all our requests. We wanted to dance under the moonlight and the band was the perfect compliment.

The absolute best wedding band! All of our guests cannot stop remarking about what a fun wedding we had and how good the band was. John was extremely professional and organized the whole time. He made sure to hit all of our "must play songs" in and even sang two songs in Italian! It's amazing to hear the range and skill level of the band. This review is long overdue. My wife & I got married back in July of 2016, but the planning took place over 2yrs. After much review and consideration we decided to have the John Parker Band preform at our wedding ceremony & reception. John was a wonderful performer and excellent with communication before the event. Commendable level of professionalism every step of the way. Really made our wedding impressionable to our family, friends, and guests. We opted for the 8 piece band and it was perfect. I would happily recommend John and his band to preform at any event, whether its a wedding, charitable event, or music to entertain.

If you want your guests to have a great time and enjoy every second of your reception, then book John Parker!

From day one, I was impressed with John and his professionalism. I asked many bands for quotes and information, but John was the first and only vendor to personally pick up the phone, call me, and ask me what type of reception we were looking for and how his band could meet our needs. After booking John, he regularly checked in on our planning progress which was a breeze with his client webpage. We were able to select songs, plan a schedule for the evening, and more importantly add music to a DO NOT PLAY list. After booking and getting yourself organized on the client page, John takes care of everything. From venue coordination to setting the atmosphere as your MC. He's adaptable to any situation and makes changes on the fly if something comes up.

Bottom line - he and his band are worth it!! Your guests won't stop talking about how amazing your wedding was, and they won't stop dancing until the very last song because John doesn't stop playing! We had an 8 piece band which was perfect. As a musician myself, I highly recommend John, especially if you enjoy a good dance beat and great vocals!

City Heat was amazing. No one left the dance floor all night. They were easy to deal with and quite professional. The violinist and pianist that we had for the ceremony were outstandin. John Parker and Kelly were extremely responsive and went beyond the call of duty.

We had an AWESOME wedding band -- Matt Ferrante and the Modern Times!!! John Parker bands DOES NOT disappoint. They check in repeatedly before your big day. I am a musician and provided the band with hundreds of songs I wanted to hear and they played dozens of my favorite songs, and they are so talented. All of our guests complemented the band as well as the song selections. They were great at getting our guests to get up and dance and we had a blast! In my opinion, the price was very reasonable for 5 very talented musicians!

I can not recommend the John Parker Band enough - John was outstanding! Even weeks before the event, his level of professionalism put me at ease in my decision to hire him - from the client website area, the guest song request link he sent, and the communication and timeliness of responses to any correspondence. Our guests loved being able to put in song requests beforehand, got them excited prior to the event and they loved hearing them during! When we spoke on the phone the week before the event to go over all the details, it was clear he had every detail down and made it easy for me to relax and not worry about a thing.
The band was a HUGE success at the wedding, they had everyone up dancing and having a great time! He had such a wide variety of songs he could do, there was something for everyone, age 6 to 89! We got a lot of complements on them afterwards as well. I would absolutely recommend hiring him!!!

Hi Everyone-

I can't say enough good about the John Parker Band! We searched and hemmed and hawed about what kind of live music we wanted at the wedding and had a lot of trouble finding a group we were really excited about....until we found the John Parker Band !

They are top notch for wedding entertainment and music-- not only does John sing an amazing variety of songs REALLY WELL, but he made sure to interact with the crowd and the entire band was a really fun, fresh presence.

I also appreciated the fact that John called me ahead of time and went over the names (for introductions) and worked with me on how the flow of the evening would go--it was perfect! John and his band had people dancing and loving the party.

If you're looking to have your wedding in South Florida you won't be disappointed with this pick. We had a tough crowd to entertain (many who are not so easily impressed + a wide variety of ages & interests) and this band had everyone smiling. We got lots of compliments on the entertainment.

We had City Heat at our wedding and they were a great band!! This was the third time in 10 years City Heat has performed at a family memebers wedding and they sounded just as good as they did 10 years ago!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND them for a wedding band!

John Parker and his band will make your affair one to remember! He's fun, energetic, interacts with your guests and plays a variety of music to make sure that all your guests get up on that dance floor! There was never a time at my daughter's wedding recently where there was an empty dance floor. He's awesome :)

One of the best decisions we as parents of the bride made was to have a band at the wedding and that band was Dreamscape. We had guests tell us that our wedding was the best wedding they had ever attended and that was in part due to Dreamscape. From the piano music during the cocktail hour, to the dinner music and finally the actual dancing - one was better than the other and they all were fantastic.

WOW! All I can say is WOW!
This band was absolutely amazing! Our wedding was a month ago and everyone is still talking about their talent. They were expensive but worth every penny! They really took hold of our guests and kept them on the dance floor all night long!

John Parker did an excellent job at our wedding. He was energetic and enthusiastic and found ways to get all of the guests involved in dancing. He appealed to all age groups with his diversified song list. During dinner he was singing operas and then he did a few hip hop songs and finally he did several classic slow songs by request. I got so many comments from my guests about his wide range of songs and the quality of his singing. He and his entire band are very friendly and easy to work with. They are great musicians and truly enjoy making your day just the way you want it to be. We did a special dance for our 1st dance. John Parker and the John Parker Band were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! They played everything from Andrea Bocelli to their rendition of Baby Got Back!! They brought amazing energy, and EVERYONE commented on how great they were! Would DEFINITELY recommend!!!

Dreamscape 8 piece band for wedding

5/5, 10/10, 20/20. Whatever ranking is available I would give the highest possible to Dreamscape of John Parker Bands. The 8 piece Dreamscape set had our 200 wedding guests dancing all night. We received multiple compliments that they were the best wedding band people had ever heard. The main vocalist is fantastic and the female vocalists are out of this world. The covers they are able to do were amazing and led to an incredibly memorable evening. They accommodated our requests and were able to pivot on the spot to switch up the style.

The booking process through the company's website feels slightly dated, but it all worked and the service was always professional and prompt.

Phenomenal Band!!

John Parker is very professional and he and his bands are phenomenal! They played for our daughter’s wedding and reception and there were so many comments on how great the band was and where we found them. Definitely star quality!

Wonderful, Professional Wedding Band

We loved the John Parker Band at our wedding in October 2017. They are professional, courteous, and so much fun. John made the entire process as easy as it could be. His customer service was excellent, and the performance was the talk of the night.

JP and his band performed at our wedding. The band was fantastic. We literally had to clear the dance floor at the end of the night because people were having so much fun. He played a perfect mix of songs and kept things moving all night long. The band can do anything from the 60s to songs that came out a few weeks ago. They also learned our wedding son for us and made it so special. Quite a few people commented that they thought at times that they were using recordings because the vocals were just that good. This band is excellent and will deliver the kind of evening you are looking for. They took care to ensure that the details were just right. I could not have been happier, and will certainly use then for future events.
