The BEST Experience

Our experience with JM was great from start to finish. Giselle helped me through all the planning and answered my endless questions. We also enjoyed attending their monthly tastings. On our wedding day, Josh (day of manager) and Debbie (bartender) stood out as superstar staff. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. I got praise from guests for days after our wedding. I could recommend their services over and over. Thank you John Michael!

Our Day was Perfect

Sorry it took me so long to leave this review but everything was perfect that day. The food was good, the staff was accommodating everything went how we wanted it to go. Now we’re getting ready to celebrate 5 years of marriage and going to renew our vows. I would definitely hire this vendor again.

Amazing food & service

The food is absolutely fantastic & the service is even better. Giselle and her team truly made our day come together, especially after we had to switch reception venues 3 days before our wedding. They did everything in their power to make everything come together & we were extremely impressed. I also must say that the food was the BEST- they truly made our vision of cocktail hour & our plated dinner come to life. JMC is professional, accommodating, & they have AMAZING food. Very grateful we selected JMC!

Wedding Oct. 2023 Positive Experience

John Michael Events catered our wedding at the Orlando Science Center. They offered an inclusive catering package, so we knew exactly what to expect. They were very responsive to all our questions, had great tasting parties with a wide variety of linen colors/place settings. The staff was very professional, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was very good, and they even provided a “goody” bag for us as we left the wedding. The guests were happy. John Michael Events did a great job for us.

Working with the John Michael Catering team was so easy and so great

Working with the John Michael Catering team was so easy and so great. There menu is massive so putting together a meal that fits for your guests is easy. Giselle was so easy to chat with and answered so many little questions throughout the process. Every single caterer we met through the tastings were kind. For those looking a year out it's really easy to make it to all of the tastings! They're quick and delicious, we took great notes and ranked all of the dishes so it was simple to determine our menu towards the end. Oh and they did an awesome job accommodating our guests allergies and dietary restrictions! The price was great, the ease was excellent, and the food was complimented on over and over again!
Oh- and don't skip the corn casserole... it's the best!

Affordable, lively, & excellent all around!

John Michael Events was an absolute pleasure to work with. The communication with Michael & Giselle was top notch and I appreciate that Michael took control because I am very much the “unsure/you pick/laid back” bride. They made sure that my linens on the reception tables & cocktail tables looked amazing. Our sweetheart table was beautifully arranged. The food was fantastic & I appreciated that we had a plate of hors d’oeuvres brought to us in the bridal suite after we took photos. Michael was very good about adding in a few extras on the week of the wedding and always stayed on top of everything. The staff were excellent & always has a smile on their faces which was appreciated! Hands down though, my favorite person was Ant, our bartender! He was so attentive & even came out onto the dance floor to interact. I highly recommend John Michael Events to anyone looking for a caterer for their future event!

Absolutely amazing experience!

From start to finish working with John Michaels was an absolute pleasure!

Giselle helped plan everything from the tastings, to table set up, menu, payments, everything and I cannot tell you how incredibly helpful she was along the way.

& The food! Oh my. Absolutely delicious - we have heard literally not one bad thing about any of it, the appetizers, main courses, the servers - all were literally fantastic. (I even had a few say it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had!).

I appreciate everything that everyone did to make our day run as smoothly as it did, definitely a 10 out of 10! 😍🥰😁

Excellent!

This has to be the best catering company in the Orlando area. The food was delicious, the price was a steal, the staff were amazing and Giselle was fantastic from start to finish! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Best experience I could ask for

From when I initially reached out to ask about their services to the day of, Giselle and the whole staff where very responsive, informative, thorough, and helpful. I never had to wait long for answers and never had an issue scheduling meetings and tastings. The food and was delicious and beautifully laid out. The bartending staff was super friendly and made sure I stayed hydrated while I was getting ready. Once the ceremony was done, Giselle repurposed my ceremony flowers in my reception area beautifully though she wasn't asked and it didn't even occur to me that they can be used that way . All of them went above and beyond to make sure everything went off without a hitch and I could not recommend them more

Fantastic Service!

I highly recommend working John Michael Events. They think of everything that you would need for a wedding, have plans and ideas for everything, and offer lots of extra services. One of those services was the wedding license. For an extra fee they took care of everything for us, which is great because we were out of state and the process can be very confusing.

All of the vendors they work with are top notch. They're all verified to be LGBT friendly and professional. The vendors all knew JME and seemed excited that we were working with them through JME. The vendors were all excellent as well!

The food is also amazing! We did the buffet style and the food tasted great. (The Mac and cheese was to die for.) Communication was great and they were able to help answer all kinds of questions, from very simple ones to ones that take a little extra work.

If you're looking for a coordinator that can do it all and is professional at doing, we highly recommend John Michael Events!

Whoever makes the food knows what they're doing

My husband and I didn't have any of the problems other people in these reviews had! They were nice to work with throughout and honestly made the wedding planning a little LESS stressful. Giselle is so nice! Their free food tastings are a major plus to....please don't say no to free food.

Our guests LOVED the food and couldn't stop talking about it. I only had like 4 bites during the wedding because we were too busy going around to everyone but my husband and I are still eating our leftovers :-)

The only downside, selfishlessly, was that we got the flaming donut bar because my husband was obsessed over it and I NEVER GOT ANY!!!!

Love this caterer!

I can’t tell you how much we love this company. We went to multiple tastings to try out different menu items and each person is friendly, helpful and personable. The food was amazing and our guests gave multiple compliments! Perfect caterer for our wedding! More helpful than I can even explain when it comes to the decisions you have to make and setting up.

Perfect Experience!

The team at John Michael was a pleasure to work with from day one planning our wedding! We worked with Giselle and she was such a huge help! Delicious!

Working with the staff of this company was an absolute pleasure! They offered complimentary tastings of their catering menu which allowed us to get a good idea of what items we wanted to serve. Best Catering Ever

No Regrets!

We utilized John Michael for the catering for our wedding, as well as day-of coordination. From beginning to end John Michael made everything so simple and easy for us, and the results were incredible! From the start we worked mostly with Giselle, from scheduling tastings to picking our menu and everything in between. She was fantastic at getting back to us quickly and keeping us on track. The tasting events that John Michael’s does are great, and we were able to taste everything we selected between 2 grand tastings and a mini tasting in between. For the day of our wedding, Bryan handled the day of coordination and set up the venue for us perfectly (despite our vague instructions and disorganized packing)! He was also great at keeping everything organized up through dinner time, even bringing us drinks so we didn’t have to go to the bar. The food came out even better than it was at the tastings, and everyone couldn’t stop raving at how great it was. The bartender Debbie was a hit with our guests as well. By the end of the night the leftover food and cake was wrapped up for us and the staff cleaned up and cleared out quickly. Overall, there wasn’t a single mishap or complaint we could give about working with John Michael. All of the staff was extremely courteous and professional, and we were more than happy with how everything turned out. Thank you so much John Michael!

The absolute best!

I did a diamond package with John Michael and my wedding was absolutely perfect. They offer free tastings to try all their foods and meet the vendors that they offer for their packages. Everything for my wedding turned out exactly how I imagined! Giselle the coordinator was quick to respond, a problem solver, always calm, and I didn’t even need a rehearsal because she really knows what she is doing. I knew I trusted her right away! If I could give 100 stars I would. Just so anyone knows for the package this is who I chose: catering-John Michael, flowers- Atmospheres floral, DJ and photo booth-power entertainment, cake-it’s tasty too, officiant- sensational ceremonies, photography-sterling photography. Amazing food! Professional team!

I LOVE JOHN MICHAEL CATERING! Our venue had a list of caterers we could pick from and I eliminated quite a few cause I didn't want BBQ (white dress and BBQ sauce doesn't end well for me). So we began our research on each company. I liked JM for their prices, but I loved them for their responsiveness. Giselle Grande was an absolute pleasure to work with! She always responded promptly and would often go out of her way to check with the owner on things for me. We had a few food allergies in our party and they were very accommodating. Their service is amazing and what they provide is unbelievable. Now onto the food- our guests LOVED our food... and you don't typically hear about good from our wedding. We loved the flank steak and the parmesan panko crusted chicken. I also loved how the bride and groom were given a doggie box to take home with them in case we weren't able to enjoy our meal with our guests that night. I would highly recommend JM.. and if you do hire them, invite me to the wedding so I can enjoy their food all over again!

Amazing experience

Great company and great food!

We hired John Michael Events for our wedding on 1/5/19 in Sanford FL. From start to finish they were amazing! Giselle was our point of contact and she was always available to us to answer any questions we had or make any changes we needed. John Michael Events had never catered at our venue so Giselle even drove all the way up to Sanford to attend a meeting with us at the venue to familiarize the company with the venue. The level of communication during planning was excellent every step of the way. Everyone at the wedding raved about the food and how delicious it was which says a lot coming from our guests! The staff the day of went above and beyond to make the day seamless. The bartenders were great and kept the drinks flowing all night long. We had a MOSTLY adults only wedding with one table of kids and the catering manager even brought plates of buffet food over to the kids so they wouldn't have to go through the buffet. That went above and beyond the scope of duty and was greatly appreciated. We are so glad we hired John Michael Events for our wedding and highly recommend them!

Just what we were looking for!

John Michael catering was very personable throughout the whole planning process and during the day if they made us feel very confident that it was all going off without a hitch! We had a great experience with John Michael Events catering our wedding. We worked with Brooke and she did a great job of running everything and made the timing of our dinner go perfectly. They were very accommodating. They put our party favors out on the tables for us and transported our cake stand so it would be ready when our cake was delivered at the event. We did a buffet style dinner, and everything tasted great. We got so many compliments from our guests. They are so considerate of the bride and groom. We got served first and received a little bit of everything form the buffet. They even prepared to go boxes with food and cake specifically for us. They did a great job of cleaning everything up and consolidating all of our stuff at the end of the night, so it was easy for our parents to load the vehicles. Thank you so much for making our special day perfect.

I used John Michael catering service for my 25th wedding anniversary. I was so impressed by the professionalism of the staff, from the very beginning of my dealing with them to the end of my event.Giselle Grande is the sale representative, she made sure everything was done well ,every detail was taken care of. Her professionalism from the start is what convince me to choose them for my event. The food was scrumptious. My guests loved the food. I will not hesitate to recommend them to everyone.

Our wedding feast of breakfast for dinner was an absolute hit with our guests. My husband is a chef and he was thrilled with everything on the menu. We had chicken and waffle sliders and french toast dippers that were passed out during cocktail hour, and a breakfast buffet that people are still talking about. They were accommodating with vegetarian options for some of our guests, and everything they brought out was incredibly savory and fresh. They made sure that my husband and I were served at our table so we didn't have to run around to eat. Charlene was wonderful to communicate with while planning and she was very quick to respond to my emails. Even after the wedding when my custom cake forks went missing, she checked their inventory and made sure to find them because they got mixed up with their stuff, and is shipping them back to us. I loved working with them, and I recommend this team to anyone who wants delicious food at their wedding.

We used John Michael for our wedding caterer this June. They were wonderful! All the weddings that I attend, I am never too impressed with the food..but I LOVED our food and received so many compliments. The service was great as well. Charlene is the best. I originally chose JM because they were the cheapest out of the preferred list I had to choose from. But it turned out to be the best decision!
Ps. Get the sun dried tomato ravioli. SO YUMMY

Every time I have attended an event hosted by John Michael Events, the guests have been delighted. That is why they were my clear choice to cater the winter reception for my company. From the very beginning, the staff made the process easy for me, which I really appreciated. And, when it all came together, the food and decor were just perfect. They are definitely our go-to caterer from now on!

Great catering company to work with. They are very professional and respond quickly with any questions. The food was fantastic and all of our guests were in love with their meals. The staff was very friendly and helpful!!!

We narrowed down our caterer between John Michael's and one other caterer. We ended up going with the other caterer although my experience with John Michael's was positive and the price was comparable there ended up just being slightly more value in going with someone else otherwise I am confident this company would have done a great job.

We decided to book John Michael after going to one of the tastings - it was so delicious!!! On our wedding day the staff was SO great - they made sure my husband and I were hydrated and had plenty of snacks as we were taking pictures. As we thanked each table for attending, every single guest kept raving about the delicious food! The staff was also nice enough to make sure we had plenty of leftovers to take home with us! The entire staff was so professional and the weeks leading up to the wedding, everyone was so responsive by email/telephone with the last minute questions and changes we had. Top notch service - thank you so much!!!

I could write a novel about how great John Michael was for my wedding, but I will keep it very simple-I couldn't have pulled off my wedding without them!!!! I had 60 days to plan my wedding, so I needed someone like John Michael on my side. They more than delivered! I used their all inclusive Diamond Package, and it was the best choice I've ever made. It made planning and coordinating so easy. Not to mention the price was unbeatable!!! They were so professional and organized. They made planning my wedding a breeze. Also, the food was AMAZING!!! Every guest was on a hunt for more food once they got their first plates. It was delicious. I couldn't wait to eat my to-go plate the day after my wedding. If I could, I would have a wedding every year and have John Michael plan it all. Don't choose anyone else to plan your wedding!!!

I am writing this because of the excellent job “John Michael Wedding & Special Events” did on my Daughter’s Wedding Ceremony & Wedding Reception which was held October 2016. The Wedding Ceremony and Reception was beautiful thanks to Charlene of John Michael Wedding & Special Events. As I write this I am still receiving calls from Family and Friends on what a wonderful time they had, how elegant the reception was and the excellent food. Everyone stayed on the dance floor. All this was possible due to Charlene and her execution of John Michael’s “Diamond Wedding Package”. The “Diamond Wedding Package” took care of the wedding planning, wedding rehearsal coordination, coordination day of wedding, catering services, cake, DJ, lighting, flowers, photography, video and limo. All the Bride & Groom had to do was show up and let Charlene do what she does best of which she did an EXCELLENT job. The wedding ceremony went smooth and flawless. I know this was due to Charlene’s expertise in coordinating the ceremony rehearsal which showed the day of the wedding ceremony. Charlene tended to the Bride & Groom from the planning stage, coordinating the wedding rehearsal, coordinating the wedding ceremony, overseeing the wedding reception and simultaneously giving the Bride & Groom her undivided attention.

During the Reception Joel came around several times to make sure everything was okay. Thank you Joel. The waiters & waitresses were exceptional. A special thanks to one of the waiters Julio. Julio went the extra step tending to my Daughter’s Grandmother. Several family members informed me on Julio’s attentiveness and kindness during the cocktail hour & during dinner. The team of John Michael Wedding & Special Events was responsive, professional, patient, kind and fun. I highly recommend John Michael Wedding & Special Events.

Great packages for competive prices. Service and attentiveness was unparalleled. They made planning super easy and took care of all the little details so I wouldn't have to worry. We even upgraded our package to include the cake and it the best decision we made. Seriously amazing food, everyone there said it was the best food they ever had at a wedding.

We purchased a wedding package through Weddings, Inc. which was recently acquired by John Michael Weddings (referring to as JM from here on to save space). While there were many other vendors in the package, JM provided the catering for our event.

Prior to the wedding, we worked closely with Michael Thomas -- the owner and founder of JM. We are a lesbian couple and it was important for us to work with an LGBT-friendly company. When we found out that Michael is a married gay man, we were just elated! It was easy and fun working out the details with Michael. JM provided catering, linens, chairs, plates, silverware, and glassware. There was a great selection of colors and styles to choose from, and we worked with Michael in the showroom neighboring their main office, so we were able to see how everything would look set up.

Katie was our day-of coordinator and she was very attentive and sweet, and we were amazed with her efficiency. She was always one step ahead, and always working very hard to make everything perfect. Our guests (and us!) absolutely loved the staff, especially Mary who was our bartender. She is so sweet and funny and she seemed to really be enjoying herself. Some of our guests were hoping to dance with her!

Dinner service was super quick. The food was absolutely excellent, of course. Our guests loved all of the offerings and we got great comments across the board. JM has tastings (I believe twice a year) at no additional cost to clients, to help with choices. You can also do a paid tasting if you miss the event. Standout offerings include their flounder, corn casserole, stuffed mushroom caps, and the best Caesar salad ever.

The one non-positive comment we have is Sasha, one of the waitstaff, seemed super uninterested and in a bad mood. It did not have an adverse effect on the event, but several people noticed, myself included. It was not enough to dock even half a point from this wonderful company, so I rated 5 stars across the board!

I'd like to start of with thanking Michael and his staff for EVERYTHING!! -- He was there through EVERYTHING from the set up all the way to the end (even our left overs), the service was top notch ! Michael rescued our wedding after my wedding planner shut up shop! Being a uk bride it was a daunting experience as I'd never been to the places we booked or met any vendors. Michael responded promptly and expertly to all my e mails no matter how many questions I asked! He did a fab job of organising everything exactly the way I wanted it to be, everything was smooth, relaxed and timed without being rushed. On the day I was shocked by just how beautiful everything was, even my flowers and cake. Michael was there running the show and along with our dj, the photographer and the reverend Glynn it made the day all the more fun and enjoyable. I honestly can't thank or recommend them enough, in fact I'm sad I don't need to communicate with them anymore! Thanks again, best wishes Gemma & James Redford xx

OMG... Book them in a heart beat. The John Michael staff and their packages are amazing. The John Michael staff helped my husband and I put on the wedding of our dreams. We were very happy and glad that we had John Michaels cater for our wedding. Charlene was so amazing to work with, very friendly, answered all the questions I had, guided me along through the process, and super professional. I know they have a lot of clients, but she made me felt like I was the only client they have. They have free food tasting once every quarter of the year. I felt that their pricing are very reasonable! We went with the Silver package with a lot of add ons like full liquor bar setups that included bartenders, real glassware, iced tea service, mixed match china, bar fronts, charger upgrade, soup course, chimichurri upgrade, and additional one hour of service. Charlene was very helpful with the changes through out the planing and provided us with very straightforward pricing. They allowed us to provide our own alcohol and that is absolutely amazing! Not only that we save money, but we also able to provided “quality” brand without breaking the bank! They were also very flexible with our guest count changes and event last minutes food options changes. Thank you John Michael! Thank you Charlene!

We had originally contracted with another wedding planner who went out of business 7 months before our daughter's wedding. John Michael Events took over as our planner and it was the best thing that could have happened. Everyone was so helpful and worked tirelessly to make our daughter's wedding her dream come true! John Michael worked with the vendors to make sure we weren't charged more for the other planner's errors! Charlene and Justin were amazing at the wedding and reception and bent over backwards to do everything that was needed to make the wedding a smooth and flawless success! We could not have imagined the perfection in catering we were about to receive by John Michael Exquisite Weddings and Catering. John Michael and his team provided us with highly professional guidance and support during our planning stage. When you have so many decisions to make from vegetarians to meat eaters to linens and layout of their gorgeous outdoor venue (Celebration Gardens), things can get stressful. I was amazed at the response time when I had questions or concerns - not to mention gently being put at ease - . I honestly never felt so well cared for by any type of business. John Michael and team have an approach with customers that leaves you feeling like your wedding is the most important event in the world - that is how we felt.

As catering goes, our hope was for everyone to simply eat well but instead we were all RAVING about the Food! At our wedding the food was even more delicious then we already thought it was during the 2 taste testing events we were invited to stunning Leu Gardens. My husband, 9 year old daughter and I couldn't have been happier when our meals were served. Yes, we actually ate at our own wedding! We did not want to miss out on that! Fiesta Chicken, Carved Flank Steak, fresh Seasonal Vegetables (we requested)...and much much more! A diverse menu to design your wedding (or any event for that matter) from and every item we chose was scrumptious! Our guests showered the catering with compliments during and after our wedding. Our decision to have John Michaels cater our wedding was one of our best decisions we made. Charlene is amazing to work and made the planning process enjoyable at every turn. Michael Thomas was very helpful and friendly. As we live in the UK a lot of communication was done by email, we always got a quick response from Michael by email. We had the best day ever. We are 50ish and both on our second marriage. We kept the wedding a secret from everyone and just took our 6 joint kids with us and told them once in Orlando, their ages are 18 to 24. They were shocked but pleased for us. We chose Paradise Cove as it looked beautiful and we loved the beach there too. The day went without a hitch and although everyone in the USA are a lot more laid back than the UK, everything over there was still so professional and the people so helpful. We did not have any catering just the wedding, as being just 8 of us we went for a special meal after at The Boathouse at Disney Springs. A wonderful day and thank you John Michael events for organizing it all. We can't wait to see the Photos/Video. Mr & Mrs Bailey in the UK

John Michael entire team was AMAZING! Charlene was brilliant during the whole planning process, very patient and quick to reply to any emails/requests. On the day of the wedding, Nancy was out of this world, coordinating everything and going above and beyond to make sure me, the groom and everyone else were happy! A surprise here, was the food: very good during the tasting and the private tasting, believe it or not, was even better on the actual wedding day! The whole party jokingly (not so jokingly I guess) it was the best meal they've had the whole trip (family and friends coming from Brazil to theme parks and the wedding). Cannot recommend John Michael enough! Thank you Nancy (coordinator), Jackie (bar), Neil (server) and Charlene (planning)!

My husband and I chose John Michael Events to cater our wedding reception, and I kid you not, our guests are still talking about the broccoli and cheese soufflé two months later! We had so much fun working with John Michael events, from attending their lavish food tastings to sitting down with the event planners to discuss the details of the event. We are so happy that we chose them! Not only was the food delicious, the event planners and caterers were so helpful and professional. They were very flexible with us when our guest count was changing day by day, and when there was an issue with our linen color, we were upgraded to a nicer fabric at no additional cost. The ladies at John Michael events really know their stuff and made sure that no detail was missed. We even had to-go boxes ready to take with us as my husband and I left the reception. I just wish they gave our their recipes because I would definitely be making that brisket regularly! Yum!

I went to two free food tasting events that they hosted and when we were able to pick out our favorites to complete our menu, we went ahead and booked them for our wedding. In preparation for the wedding, Charlene and Heather were very helpful, prompt and accommodating with all that we wanted. They were very patient with me as I could be indecisive at times but they provided guidance to help me finalize decisions.

On the day of our wedding, the event staff were very polite and made sure my guests were taken care of and everyone loved the food! Some people were able to go back for seconds at the buffet table. We only had one serving of leftovers left, even though there were 11 people that didn't show up. lol I was just grateful that people enjoyed the food so much so that I didn't have to worry about taking a lot of food home. I would definitely recommend them for any occasion!

We secured John Michael Catering for our daughters wedding last month. The whole process and working with Heather was amazingly easy. From enjoying the "tasting" at Leu Gardens over the summer to meeting with Heather and completing the menu, linens, and other details that they have to choose from was wonderful.
The day of the wedding, the staff was impeccable. They were all professional with setting up, decorating and helping to get everything ready. The food was awesome!!! Everyone raved over how wonderful it was. I would recommend them for any event.

The team at John Michael did such an exceptional job for our wedding reception. The entire process was wonderful, from initial contact through the end of the event. Heather at John Michael events was very helpful, and very accommodating to schedule our meeting according to our schedule. We went to one of their tasting events (which was delicious!) Jordan and Joel, our servers, came to the house and set everything up quickly, were very professional and personable, and we can NOT say enough about the quality and presentation of the food. Would most definitely use John Michael Events again if we are in need of catering service.

John Michaels catering was an amazing and easy decision for my husband and I! Everyone LOVED the food. I had never been to a wedding where everyone couldn't stop talking about the food! The staff made sure my husband and I had everything we needed. We were asked multiple times if we would like anything else. They even sent us with a to-go box!! In our first meeting John Michaels told us we could change our entire menu 10 days before the wedding. My husband and I kind of laughed but wouldn't you know we change from plated dinner to buffet a week before our wedding. We both originally felt very strong about having a plated dinner, but our guests actually thanked us for having it changed because they wanted to try it all!!!! JM accommodated our high guest count with THREE bars so my guests would not have to wait. Their food was so good, and fresh. Any question I had they answered quickly. They are the easiest choice for catering! I couldn't have been happier with their service.

My husband and I got married last month and used John Michael Events catering. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them! Heather was our coordinator and was always with me step by step, any time I had a question I would call or e-mail and she was on top of it. We met with the owner who showed us what the layout looked like, helped us choose our colors, dishes, glasses and gave us a detailed list of the agenda including the food we picked. We got samples of the food prior to the wedding so we knew exactly what we wanted. The day of the wedding they came fully prepared and organized, had all the tables and chairs in the correct order, and the food was absolutely amazing! I would hire them again for any other future catering needs.

John Michael's staff did such a great job with literally every aspect of the catering. Kerry (the event supervisor) was helpful, friendly and always there if we needed anything. (Not that we needed much, because the entire staff was so on top of things!) Our bartender was such a joy even to watch from afar. She interacted well with the guests, was incredibly sweet to me, and even danced to some of the songs.

The food was a-maz-ing. Because we were planning from out of town, we were never able to make it to a tasting, and my only regret with that is that I missed out on an opportunity to eat the incredible food. Every single part of the meal was delicious, and my guests absolutely raved about the food.

The mac and cheese bar in particular absolutely blew our crowd away. I was a tiny bit nervous with my choice (I love mac and cheese, but worried it might be a little much for a wedding), but the response was so great. We actually had people popping out during our group photos just to say, "Oh my gosh, you have a mac and cheese bar? This is the best wedding ever!" One guest commented that the shrimp topping the mac and cheese was the best she had ever had.

At the end of the night, the to-go boxes were wonderfully packaged and so greatly appreciated. My husband and I ate every bit of the leftovers we had over our next two nights at the hotel. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff that worked the event, as well as Charlene, who we worked with to plan it. The planning process was a total breeze and the menu choices were excellent.

John Michael Events are professional without being stuffy and have some of the best food I've ever tasted in my life. I cannot rave enough about this company and I'm *so* glad we picked them for our catering!

We could not be happier about our experience with John Michael Events! All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was (people are still talking about it)! They were also very affordable compared to other caterers. The staff was super helpful and very attentive. We also used their day of coordination service and it was so worth it! Heather did an amazing job!! The day before the wedding my mom and I walked through the venue with her and showed her all of our decorative items and described a general vision of what we wanted everything to look like. The day of the wedding I remember arriving at the venue a few hours before the ceremony and everything looked PERFECT!! Beyond perfect... even better than I had ever expected everything to look!! She was also essential in helping coordinate everyone in the ceremony and working with some of the other vendors. The day of coordination was also a great value. I would absolutely recommend John Michael Events!

Working with Michael was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we first spoke with him, we knew we wanted to use him to help coordinate our wedding. His access to other vendors was a huge help as we were planning our wedding from NYC. The food was fantastic, the staff were all great, and Michael was always quick to respond to all our emails and questions. He ensured that the day was perfect, and everything ran smoothly. It was a beautiful day, and we would HIGHLY recommend John Michael Events for your wedding, or any other event.

John Michael Events worked with us to honor a much loved friend after his passing. Of course, planning a memorial celebration of life, by nature, is a last minute booking. Food is such an important part of the wedding, and we were even more picky since we had a few chefs and foodies attending our wedding. Oh boy are we glad we chose John Michael! Their food was DELICIOUS, even better than at their tastings! We got so many compliments on the food, including from those chefs ;). Not only their food was great, they are also great and very easy to work with. At the beginning we worked with Charlene, and she was sooo nice and easy to work with. We had a tight budget for our wedding and Charlene helped us find ways we could save money, plus they are very flexible too and work with you for so many things. They even allowed us to get our own alcohol (which many caterers don't do) and Charlene even suggested places where we could get the best deal! Closer to the wedding date, Charlene and my wedding planner, Runway events, worked hand by hand to ensure everything went perfectly, and it did! The day of the wedding, I had Tom as the event manager, and there are no words for us to describe how great Tom and his team were that day. They were friendly, fun, cordial and absolutely WONDERFUL! There was no request from us or our guests that went unattended. we felt very well taken care of and you can tell the staff loved it too, they def. like what they do and it shows! The bartender was great too, I had a special drink I wanted serve all night and she made sure I always had what I needed, she got to meet our families and made sure they were always taken care of. She even met my dad and when we ran out of beers, she saved some for him to make sure he had his drink, I thought that was great!! It was raining the day of our wedding and they all got wet, but kept going as if nothing was happening. The day of our wedding was magical and a lot of that is thanks to John michael!

We absolutely LOVED their food and we got so many compliments on it from our wedding guests. It was delicious and there were so many choices, it was difficult to choose. We enjoyed going to the tastings held twice per year, so we actually got to try everything we picked before our wedding day. It was a great experience working with the JM staff, everyone was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. I was late for my meeting with Charlene and she stayed in the office almost an hour late waiting for me, and greeted me with a smile. And Gianna was fantastic, she was there the day of our wedding and made sure we had everything we needed. I would HIGHLY recommend this catering company for your event and I look forward to using them again if I ever have catering needs in the future!

This is a biggie!! I really loved the fact that I went with this vendor. I loved the 2 part food tastings that they do and I liked how nice all the caterers were. But let's talk food, Immaright? It was EVERYTHING!!! I still have people that remember almost all the items that were given for dinner. We had beef n blues (strongly recommend, like you MUST) and stuffed mushrooms for cocktail hour. For dinner we had some kind of beef with terragon sauce (AMAAAAZZINGGGG), panko crusted chicken (lick your fingers good...but dont actually lick your fingers, you're at a wedding), corn casselrole (SUPER), and i can't remember what else but FOR SURE THOSE ARE THE BEST. I had 110 people and nothing came out dry or different than what we had originally tasted. By FAR, the best and very reasonable price. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend! Thank you J&M Catering

John Michael had the most reasonable price for the quality of service and food provided. I (the bride) did not have a planner or coordinator and thanks to John Michael they took care of everything, making our wedding day flow smoothly and effortlessly. Excellent menu options, could not have asked for a better catering experience!

WONDERFUL! Heather was a pleasure to work with and was *so patient* with all the changes we made throughout the planning process. The day of Gianna was a blessing to have with me. She made sure we were fed and had everything we needed and was overall just so sweet and kind. You could tell her and the rest of the staff were truly dedicated to making our wedding special and did whatever they could to make it smooth and seamless. I couldn't have asked for a better crew and wouldn't change a thing!

Additionally, the food was *superb*. Everyone of our guests raved about how delicious the catering was and I was so pleased that everyone enjoyed it. Thank you, JMC!!!!

We had used John Michael events for our February wedding and ended up booking the platinum package. The best decision ever!! Michael was extremely helpful with the entire planning process. The day off the wedding couldn't have went better. In addition to having beautiful weather it was great to be able to truly relax and enjoy our time with friends and family knowing that Michael and his team will take care of every single detail! From start to finish the staff was extremely professional and helpful. Our guests are still telling us how amazing the food was and how much fun everyone had. We would definitely recommend Michael and his team to all friends and family and will keep them in mind for any future events we plan.

Heather is AMAZING! I have made about a million changes through out the planning process and she is always so pleasant and understanding. She is also very quick to respond whether by phone or by e-mail which is wonderful if you are slightly impatient like myself. Their food is delicious and the set up they use is beautiful! The entire team at JME was amazing, but I do want to give a special shout out to the wedding coordinator we worked with specifically: Charlene. She went above and beyond in making my wedding day phenomenal. I purchased a Diamond Package through JME and I don't know why people don't ALWAYS do it that way. The Diamond Package deal made it incredibly easy to plan my wedding and I recommend it to everyone! Charlene was there from day one envisioning my plan for the wedding, and she saw it through beyond my expectations. I wouldn't change a single thing about my wedding planning because Charlene of JME made it so easy and tolerable. I NEVER stressed one bit!

My husband and I hired John Michael Events for our wedding on January 3rd and we had an excellent experience. Wedding planning is difficult, and they made it very easy to try everything on the menu and were very responsive to our emails and phone calls during the planning process. I even got a response from my coordinator at 6:30 p.m. on a Friday, when other vendors wouldn't return messages for days!

In addition to great service during the planning process, the food is excellent and the price is right. I had dozens of guests tell me how it was the "best wedding food they had ever eaten." During the event, the JM staff was extremely professional and went out of their way to cater to me as the bride.

As a (former) picky bride, I highly suggest JM Weddings and Events.

We got married on the 4th of January 2015 and I just want to say John Michael's went above and beyond. The staff were professional and always within range to assist and help. I have vegan family members who didn't eat any type of diary or animal products and thought that they would attend and not be able to eat....well that was so not the case as the hummus was a great hit....I know the majority of people that go to wedding or events tends to stick to either a caesar salad however I chose the "Country French Salad" my vegans family had 4 plates of this salad and wanted more of it but didn't want to look greedy.... I had 90% of my guest raved about this salad after the wedding this is a must have!!!! The mash potatoe was another hit I was told it was just so creamy and nice and smooth, the ravioli with the sun dried tomato another 2 thumbs up.... the salmon was another hit and everyone rave on the size they received it wasn't tiny pieces but well deserved slices the food a tasty, presentation was top notch and it smelled just like it taste delicious....everything was awesome!!!! I have watched wedding shows and heard the food wasn't this or that but John Micheal's was all that. Now concerning the service....the staff was exceptional they were extremely attentive and my niece said my only complaint was as soon as you were finish eating the plate was gone the water was constantly refilled they were always there.....Complain??? What a compliment just to say it was above professional service...you made my wedding day PERFECT....THANK YOU to John Michael...your staff, the cooks, servers and everyone that made me feel proud that I choose the right people to cater my wedding. Had my wedding catered by John Michaels on November 23, 2014. Heather was so wonderful to work with! We had lots of questions and concerns thru the process, but she took the time to answer very quickly every time. Our wedding was beautiful! The cake was also ordered thru JM and made by Sylvette OMG it was incredible and this woman is a blessing to work with also. People were very impressed with everything. The John Michaels team goes above and beyond to please and kept me happy and calm even when other vendors gave us a hard time. I would hire them all over again since I know I can count on excellent service. I recommend them to any bride that wants the best. Their staff was super friendly and our guest loved them too.

I had my graduation held at Orange County Regional History Center on 12.12.14

The event sales coordinator gave me a list of vendors to contact from their approved list. I spoke with several but I really clicked with Charlene from John Michael Events. I explained to her what my vision was and how I wanted the night to be. My boyfriend and I are "foodies" so we wanted a bulk of our budget to go towards the food. I don't cook mess and I wouldn't tolerate mess being served to my guests. I was invited to a tasting at Leu Gardens & that solidified my decision to have John Michael cater my event. My graduation (so far) as been the biggest party I've thrown and I wanted something over the top with the food to match.

My party would not have been fantastic if it wasn't for Charlene's patience as I changed the linen settings and the constant emailing. Tom was my on site coordinator and he ran a smooth ship. Food was hot, prompt, and absolutely delicious. I also wants to give special thanks to the waiter/ Chef carver Jerry. He was so friendly and outgoing. My guests kept talking about the "cool dude at the station".

I felt that the price was beyond reasonable especially for the quality of service and food that I got. I went with the silver package with some additional add ons. The price included linens, silverware, plates, cups, bar set up for full liquor service (we provided the alcohol), cocktail hour with 4 passed appetizers, dinner with 3 sides, 2 meats, 1 vegetarian pasta dish, 60+ dessert shooters, & a midnight closeout menu of burger sliders, chicken & waffles, and pizza tarts. Yes-- all that for 60 guests at a very reasonable rate.

I look forward to working with John Michael again for an event. It might not have been my wedding but I sure did feel like I was treated as if it was one by the JM staff. My graduation was MY big day and they made sure it was a wonderful one.

One word...DELICIOUS!! The food was fantastic. Everyone at the wedding kept telling us how amazing everything was. We had Prime Rib, Parmesan crusted chicken, mashed potatoes, cheese tortellini, veggies, and the meditarranean salad. We used John Michael (JM) events for our wedding, specifically the Diamond Package. As part of the diamond package, John Michael bundled our DJ, florist, photographer and cake to partner businesses, and provided the catering and day of event coordinator themselves. I cannot say enough about how this made planning easier. JM coordinated all our vendors for us and scheduled meetings with all of them in 1 day, which made it much easier traveling from out of town to meet with everyone. We were very happy with all of the vendors that were included in the package and have reviewed them separately. I would absolutely advise anyone considering the diamond package to go for it. It was very cost effective and we truly got top notch service.

On to JM catering. The catering (buffett) was delicious. We had numerous compliments from our guests. The chicken was moist even as leftovers, which is no small feat. We had a mac n cheese bar at the cocktail hour and it (I heard) was delicious.The buffet was ready about 20 min late, but this did not detract from the overall excellent service and catering. They worked with us about providing gluten free options for our guests with issues. We enjoyed their tasting events as a good way to sample the menu. Their day of coordinator helped us set out everything and did a great job of it. Michael was easy to work with and accommodating. The extra linen charges seem a little excessive, but I guess that's the name of the wedding game (?). Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend them and absolutely would make the same choice to go with JM and the Diamond Package again. Thank you for a fantastic wedding and such a great package deal that made my life and planning so much easier!!!!

I heard nothing but great things from my guests about the food! On the day of the wedding, they did forget the dance floor, but i received an apology email and a check in the mail before I even returned from my honeymoon! Overall they seemed to be very nice and very helpful!

Having John Michael Weddings and Special Events cater my wedding was one of the best experiences in the wedding planning process. They have incredible group tastings that allow you to sample their ENTIRE menu in segments and these events will truly blow you away (come hungry!) They follow that up with individual and personalized attention when you are getting closer to making a decision regarding food and linen colors. Their service was amazing and the food was a tremendous hit with the guests. They are still talking about the food even a month later! Whatever is leftover they box it up for you to take home and enjoy later which was much appreciated. I cannot thank them enough for their service, excellent food and stress-free execution.

John Michaels staff were absolutely wonderful. Very professional and courteous to my guests. They were very prompt answering any questions i had through email and very pleasant to work with discussing my big day. Not only are they wonderful, their food is amazing! Every one of my guests were raving about it! 5 stars all the way!

John Michael's Events did my catering, provided chivari chairs, linens, serveware, and day of coordinator. The food is fantastic and everyone comments on how good it was. They had lots of options for linens and I highly suggest a day of coordinator if you are having a lot of DIY stuff. Helped out a lot having someone else setup my stuff so I didn't have to worry about it the day of.
