We just worked with John for our wedding in Fernandina beach two weeks and he was amazing! He took wonderful photos, captured soooo many more than we had anticipated, helped us find the best locations with weather that day, and so much more. He got great photos (turned them around very quick) of our guests and the whole evening. We communicated with him easily and everything went great. Not that it matters, but we’re also a same-sex couple if helpful. We really enjoyed working with John! -

We had a wonderful experiencw working with Mr. Fountain on our wedding photos. He is a great person, who really loves what he does and is always looking for the best results for his clients.
He made us feel comfortable, helped us getting beautiful shots and thaking advantage of natural lighting out in nature.

John Fountain is the best
John Fountain is a wonderful human being, and exceptional artist of photography and video, and an absolutely trustworthy and ethical service provider. He was patient and caring as well as able to gently suggest and direct scenes for the best images. The images he created are perfect as is the video. We were absolutely blessed that John Fountain was our photographer.

He did amazing capturing our big day. He was able to get tons of shots even help us pose when we didn’t have any ideas. He was very friendly (which is important for my comfort and anxiety). In most photos you can’t even tell I’m 5.5/6 months pregnant! -

These are only a few examples of the hundreds and hundreds of amazing pictures that John took. I was on a budget due to our previous venue not refunding a single dollar. John did everything he could to help me with pricing. He was by himself all day and did not miss a single moment. This man works wonders!!!!!! He was such a blast to have at the wedding. People could not stop complementing how professional and fun he is. -

Honestly.... John is just the best. From fixing my veil, to my dress, the poses, to softening the tension of such a stressful day! He arrived and suddenly all my nerves were gone. He was so comforting and patient with me and just made me and my husband laugh the whole time, zero stress!! His reassurance was everything. I recommend John completely. He will make your day so much better and will definitely put you at ease. -

Since the very beginning of doing our engagement photos all the way to our wedding, John has been super flexible, reliable, and efficient. He was very fair with his prices and really worked with us and our smaller budget to give us a perfect day with beautiful pictures. Karen Sent on 03/27/2018John did my daughter's wedding earlier this month. We already received pictures back and they are absolutely gorgeous. John was so much fun to work with and took so many pictures. Everyone at the wedding raved about the photographer.
He was also very helpful in getting us a a few pics early to make a video for a reception that was going to be the following weekend. Thank you John for being a great addition to the wedding day! Karen -

Merrin Sent on 06/12/2018We hired John for our wedding and ended up getting a package deal through him that included videography with Diamond Acres Media in addition to the wedding photography. John's package price was a great value, and I couldn't find anything close to that value in the area (we got married in Jekyll Island). John was very easy to work with, knew his lighting and lenses well, and frequently showed us the pictures he was getting on his camera as we went (my bridesmaid, who is a wedding photog, said she had never seen this and really appreciated it). The second best thing to the price was how fast John got our photos back to us! We had our wedding album within 2 weeks after the wedding, and the edited video within a month. He took over a 1000 pictures and gave us easy access to all of them. I would say that his style is probably more styled and posed than candid, but he is great on the fly and got shots of everything that mattered.

John emailed me on March 2 with a link to our wedding photos, already ready to be downloaded, shared and to print physical copies. During the reception, he would show us some shots that he took, which my husband appreciated. Overall, great experience! Our pictures turned out fantastic!

John Fountain photographed our wedding and had a deeply negative impact on the night for ourselves and many of our guests. We are writing this review to warn other couples about his lack of professionalism and inappropriate behavior with female guests.
First, early in the night, he entered the bridal suite (where the bride and bridesmaids were getting dressed, putting on makeup, etc.) to take pictures of the bridal party and made the comment, “Look at all this game for me to hunt.” We laughed it off, but should have taken this comment more seriously. Later in the night, several guests reported that, during the reception, he was seen holding his camera down by women’s legs on the dance floor to take pictures. Upon noticing this, a guest asked what he was doing and he replied, “Women shouldn’t wear dresses if they don’t want their legs photographed.” We were also told that he made several women feel very uncomfortable (e.g., by being too physically close to them on the dance floor; hitting on them; asking an employee to take her name tag off for a photo; and pulling them aside for specific photos). He took very few photos of our maid of honor but took many photos of one specific bridesmaid. His actions and inappropriate behavior left the latter bridesmaid in tears. When we were alerted to his behavior, we asked him to leave the wedding, at around 9pm.
Prior to this, and unbeknownst to us, he was confronted about pulling women aside for individual photo shoots by our wedding coordinator at around. Immediately afterwards, he pulled us (the bride and groom) aside and asked for the remainder of his payment by check (yes, in the middle of our wedding).
In addition to Mr. Fountain’s inappropriate behavior with our female guests, he also conducted himself unprofessionally throughout the wedding. Examples include: a) one of the staff informed us that he was serving himself alcohol throughout the night and appeared intoxicated; b) during the pre-wedding photos, he repeatedly stopped to show off the photos he took (instead of simply moving on to the next photo). This required us (the bride and groom) to keep him on track so we were on time for the ceremony; c) and finally, his style of posing was very intense and made taking photos generally unpleasant.
In hiring Mr. Fountain, we relied on the many glowing reviews we found on Google and The Knot. Thus, we were shocked by his inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. As stated earlier, his actions significantly negatively affected our wedding night, our guests’ experiences, and our memories of what was otherwise a wonderful evening. We cannot recommend not hiring Mr. Fountain strongly enough to future couples considering his services.
