Great personality and song selections!

My mom found John through a friend that works with him. He brought his assortment of very cool guitars and entertained at my Chinese Wedding feast. My husband and father enjoyed a lot of the classics that he played which is a tall order because they’re both very picky about music. We asked for some classic Greek music since they are John’s specialty and were extremely happy with his song selection which we left up to him.

WONDERFUL! True professional, and went above & beyond to make us happy

We had gone back & forth about hiring a live musician for our ceremony- and whether it made sense for our budget. Ultimately, we knew we wanted our ceremony to feel intimate and John helped provide just that! I reached out to John and he responded promptly. No games about pricing, just straight-forward. We booked John for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The guests loved it! It was perfect for our intimate rooftop ceremony & cocktail hour. He has an extensive list of songs to choose from, but we asked if he could take a request anyways. We asked him to play one of my favorite songs, "I Choose You," and he agreed to learn it! He kept me posted and would even send me videos of his progress etc. The best part about hiring John was that I didn't have to worry about a thing! I totally trusted him. He brought his equipment, was on time, did what was asked, no stress or worries. He is a professional. There is also something very warm & kind about him that I loved. So happy we hired John!

Provided the perfect vibe for our wedding

When my soloist told me I had an awesome guitarist I knew everything would be perfect! The soloist was able to practice with John over the phone since they were in different states and they ran through the song before the actual ceremony. I had a beach wedding and the guitar was perfect for this venue. He played Bossa Nova which goes well with the beach. Be decisive about what you want and John will get the job done beautifully!

John performed on the balcony of our Entrepreneurship Center for an event which included educators from around the country and the world. His eclectic mix of musical styles and musical instruments added to the "styles of Tampa" theme that we were going for. It sounded wonderful! We would hire him again in a heartbeat. Plus he's a cool guy and fun to be around.

John Demas Has Done 3 weddings for me! He goes above and beyond measure to please, to perform and do whatever it takes to make it the most perfect event ever! John was there playing to our guests when we arrived for the ceremony. That was such a calming presence while we were so nervous. Very professional, our guests enjoyed the sounds of the guitar and violin during cocktail hour even taking requests. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again

This was the sixth Mardi Gras Dance that we have done at St. John Greek Orthodox Church and we have had John for every one! I don't think we could do it without him. He can perform ANY KIND of music you ask for and always you can count on his professional best! I have seldom seen a more versatile musician. From classical or Spanish guitar, Greek dances, blues, jazz, modern dance music to whatever you like. We just love you John Demas! YOU'RE THE MAN!!!!

John was amazing! We hired him to play at my father’s 80th big fat Greek bday party.
We danced all night. Not only was his bazoki playing the best he Fit right in With our family! He arrived on time and followed through with all our wishes. Very friendly. Knows how to work a crowd. Highly recommend John.

John Demas is an accomplished musician, who not only knows his profession, but also knows how to treat people and turn their events into happy memories! He played at my nephew's wedding reception. He plays for the Tampa Greek festival every year. He makes baptismal receptions even more joyful as he gets the guests up and dancing. Recently, John played both guitar and bouzouki, at the Daughters of Penelope District Governors Luncheon at The Seven Springs Golf and Country Club and was a big hit with the audience. He does not need direction. John Demas is a master at what he does!

We recently hired John and his band for my daughter‘s baptism reception. John was extremely professional, in contact with me throughout the days leading up to the event, on target with everything that we had planned and discussed, an excellent musician who was able to play both classical music during the appetizer hour and dinner and Greek dancing music afterwards. If I ever need a musician, he will be the first phone call I make.

We wanted the ceremonial music to set the tone for the very special occasion we had planned for the bride, groom, and guests. But where and how to begin? My daughter is a perfectionist. Seeing her planning and preparing for her wedding -
she did it by herself - was extremely stessful.
For music she was looking at DJ's because she thought bands were very expensive.
Well, I said to her why don't you let me call John and see what he has to say.
I was very surprised to hear her say "OK, you can handle this".
I was very happy because my daughter allowed me to handle the music portion of her wedding.
Well, this was the best experience I've ever had with a vendor.
I called John and we talked about the date and even though he had prior commitments,
he managed to accomodate us.
I asked him how much, he told me the price and that was it.
When I told my daughter what he was charging, she wouldn't believe me.
She said that DJ's were charging her much more than that.
John and I talked about what DJ's charge and we both agreed that they charge so
much money just to play songs from a computer.
John was familiar with the venue - he had performed there numerous times -
and the layout of the area where the party was to take place.
He told me not to worry about anything, and I didn't.
My daughter, her husband, our guests and I were extremely happy.
John's performance, extensive musical repertoire, and ability to entertain such
a diverse gathering of people is second to none. Having John provide for your
musical requirements of your next event will be an experience you'll cherish for life.

We just recently got married, was looking for a classical musical guitarist ran across John's name gave him a call. From the very first phone call to the day of the wedding & actually getting to meet him in person I never worried about him showing up. His prices were very reasonable for any amount of time you would need him for.

John was a preferred vendor of Lange Farm, and he was so unique and awesome. After going through the whole wedding process, we couldn't have been happier with our selection.

We first met him at the Greek Festival in Tampa and then had a phone call shortly after. He was so easy to work with, very helpful with suggestions, and made us feel comfortable. Our guests thought this was such a unique part of the wedding, and you can't beat his value for his time and music.

He was really great, and you can tell he loves what he does. I would highly recommend him for any wedding.

We had John provide music for our ceremony on 10/1 and were extremely impressed. We never actually met with John before the ceremony so I was a bit nervous because we really went off of the vibe we would get from different vendors in order to make our decisions but he came very highly recommended from the Lange Farm. We were not disappointed. All of our guests loved the classical guitar and our song selections. I was not quite sure what I wanted played throughout the ceremony so I asked him lots of questions via email and he was always responsive. I told him he had free reign for the prelude music and that I needed some input for the processional and recessional and he helped me make some great decisions on the ceremony music.

John is a pleasure to work with and completely affordable. He has great experience and plays a lot of weddings. I would definitely recommend him if you are thinking about a classical guitarist for your wedding!

John did a fantastic job at our March 7 2010 wedding in St. Petersburg! We had him play during our reception. His prices were reasonable and he was very friendly and professional to work with. We didn't want the typical DJ reception and just wanted some nice music for our reception. He was wonderful! He even took requests from guests. I think having a live musician just adds a more personal, intimate touch. I think he would be great also for a ceremony or cocktail reception.
