My husband and I had the perfect Christmas wedding, and Joel Lindsay Entertainment had a MAJOR part in it! From the very beginning when we booked him, Joel was super helpful and organized in helping to plan our wedding. He sent us a Google Doc with a large sample schedule, and my husband and I used this throughout the entirety of our wedding planning process to help plan our big day! It had helpful suggestions, sample songs, and many other items that helped us throughout the process. Joel was very responsive and helpful in communication as well. Any questions we asked (even if they were small and silly), were answered with quickness and professionalism. Joel was even willing to do a Zoom meeting with us when our day got closer and this helped clarify any questions.
Joel is an amazing performer and singer, and his DJ skills are top notch! For our event, Joel not only DJ’d, but did live performances as well. He learned two songs that we requested and it made our day even more special! He played exactly what we asked him to and made the night fun and exciting. One of our wedding attendees said to me after the ceremony that at one point he thought Joel was playing a recorded track, when in reality he was singing live! Joel’s music really made our day special and perfect in every way!
Joel’s wife Amy was our officiant for our big day. She was amazing as well! Amy was incredible to work with and was also very responsive and professional in all our communications. When we met with Amy about 3 months before our wedding, we went over our entire day. Amy made some great suggestions to help enhance our ceremony, one of which was a Lego Unity ceremony which we never heard of. It ended up being one of the highlights of the entire day. Amy arrived an hour before our ceremony to go through it one more time (which really helped calm our nerves!) and really helped the ceremony go off without a hitch.
Our Christmas wedding was perfect, and Joel & Amy Lindsay were two of the main reasons why. We HIGHLY recommend them both to DJ and officiate your wedding!

We are absolutely over the moon that we chose Joel for our wedding! From the very beginning, he was great & easy to work with. He took the time to understand our musical preferences and tailored the playlist perfectly to match the atmosphere we envisioned for our special day.
His talent as a musician was evident during the cocktail hour and reception, where he and his accompanying bassist played beautifully. As our DJ, he kept the dance floor alive all night long with an amazing mix of songs that had all our guests dancing and having the time of their lives. And as our MC, he was engaging and kept everything running smoothly and on schedule.

We had the privilege of working with Joel for our wedding, and we were so happy with how the day turned out! From the initial consultation to the final song at the reception, Joel was highly professional, attentive, and committed to making our day perfect. Joel provided a timeline/questionnaire document, which ensured the entire day flowed easily. We did have some last-minute adjustments to the timeline, but Joel rolled with the punches!
Joel provided impeccable audio during our ceremony, ensuring that every word and note was crystal clear for all our guests. The setup and operation meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
For the cocktail hour, he played acoustic live music that perfectly complemented the ambiance. We received countless compliments from our guests after the wedding, letting us know how much they enjoyed the cocktail hour specifically.
Thanks to Joel’s DJ and MC skills, the reception was an absolute blast. He kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long! His ability to read the crowd and adjust the music accordingly was impressive. Additionally, he did an excellent job as the MC, ensuring that all key moments were highlighted and that the event flowed smoothly.

If you're looking for an incredible DJ and musician for your wedding, the search is over! Working with Joel throughout the planning process was great: he was so helpful and responsive, and his planning form is incredibly detailed, which allowed us to really be thoughtful and intentional about which songs we wanted played throughout the day and night. Fast forward to the wedding itself - we are STILL getting compliments about how amazing our wedding music was. Joel played the guitar and sang during our processional, cocktail hour, and for our first dance - he even learned two songs for us, which was super special. Once the dance floor opened he played hit after hit - I've never been to a wedding where literally every single person got out of their seats to dance for the first song, but Joel is just magic. He did such a good job of reading the room and reading us as a couple - he knew exactly what songs to play to keep the party going. On top of all of that - Joel took some great videos of the dance floor that we will cherish for years to come. We are SO thankful that we booked Joel - having a DJ who is also an incredibly talented musician is such a great combination - would highlyyyyy recommend booking him! -

Can't say enough good things
Outstanding experience with Joel. First off, he's very musically talented. Second, he is so organized. He helped plan the entire event itinerary. Ceremony music, MC'd everything (his British accent was extra fun!), lighting, setup, performed live for ceremony and cocktail hour, wedding party intro, DJ'd the dance party....all of this for a crazy reasonable price. And did I mention, he is SO TALENTED?? The guests loved him. Can't recommend him highly enough. -

If you are searching for a DJ you can stop right here, I found the perfect one. Joel was professional, full of energy and made our reception a blast. He played the perfect songs at the right times so the dance floor was never empty! We would absolutely recommend Joel to anyone. Joel was amazing to work with. He was very responsive and gave us suggestions and ideas when we were indecisive. Joel got to know us on a personal level and made sure to stop and say hi when we would go out to watch him at his different playing locations. I cannot wait to continue to watch him play live. -

We initially booked Joel and then found out he was in a band with my husband’s former coworker, which just solidified our confidence in his talents. He proved us right quickly. We picked two new songs for our first dance and father/daughter dance and he sang and played acoustic guitar absolutely beautifully. He also adjusted the music to what would get people on the dance floor, and had great lights that really added to the vibe. He played guitar for cocktail hour as well which was great ambience after the ceremony. As an added bonus, we’ve gotten many compliments on his accent 😂 -

We have nothing short of amazing things to say about Joel. We went to a friends wedding back in 2021 and it was honestly one of the most fun weddings we’ve ever been to and I felt that was because of the DJ. Of course we had to get his information and book him for our wedding.
Joel was such a pleasure to work with. So friendly, thorough, and excellent at his job. From the second he opened the dance floor the dancing did not stop. 05/27/2022 - What can I say about Joel Lindsey - a true professional and an expert at what he does. Music really sets mood for the entire event, and Joel executed it perfectly. Joel and his accompanied violinist played live music during our ceremony and cocktail hour, it was magical! He learned a new song for us and even showed the little ones how to play the instruments while we waited! Joel's YouTube videos really helped us decide the kind of music we wanted, and got us excited for what is style is like. You can even go see him perform live around the Pittsburgh area. Joel doesn't need much direction, once you give him an idea of what vibe you are looking for, he can take it from there. He played a great mix of songs during the reception, new jams and throw backs that everyone enjoyed. If you're looking for a top notch DJ and one you can feel confident about throwing an incredible event, look no further. He is the best in the biz. -

Joel impressed us from the get go... He was so friendly and really helped us to make the most out of our special day. His phone calls and emails were very thorough and so was our planning document!
Joel also was able to put us in contact with Bob- who was incredible as well. Bob played violin during our ceremony and during the cocktail hour- it was absolutely beautiful!
During the cocktail hour/ reception Joel played live also. I can honestly say that our friends and family were BLOWN away. In fact, my cousin absolutely had to take a photo of him [while making a heart with her hands] and I know others who wanted his card as well. We've received dozens of compliments even after the wedding!
Joel kept the party going and was an excellent MC - I truly do not think we could have had anything better. I used to work in catering and saw a LOT of weddings and A LOT of DJ's.. and Joel blows all of them out of the water!

Joel was wonderful throughout the entire process! From the moment we first spoke with him- all the way up to our final dance at our wedding, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable in how to make our day absolutely perfect. Joel not only helped us to create the perfect timeline, but also coordinated with our venue and vendors to ensure that everyone was on the same page. It was so nice to not have to worry about making sure we were on schedule, or forgetting about anything.
Joel went above and beyond in every aspect. Even though we had our own ceremony musician and officiant, Joel still made sure he was there early to help with setting up microphones and sound systems. He also coordinated with our videographer to ensure that everything was working smoothly. When I asked him to help me create a special surprise mash-up for the Father/Daughter Dance, he was fully on board and even provided a copy for us to practice with.
If you are looking for a DJ who clearly takes a personal interest in his client's satisfaction and is willing to put in the extra effort, Joel is the guy for you! We are so happy we hired him, and would recommend him to anyone! -

Joel is an incredible DJ, performer and organizer. Several months prior to the wedding Joel helped us organize the timeline and gave helpful suggestions for how to keep the event moving along. He is very quick and responsive to emails. Joel and his friend Bob, a violinist provided beautiful music during our ceremony and kept the cocktail hour light and fun. Bob even let some of the kids try out his violin. During the rest of the event, Joel helped keep things moving along on schedule and provided phenomenal music during the reception. My guests complimented him several times during the event. After the wedding, guests from another wedding at the same venue commented that they were tempted to crash our reception because our music was better. -

Joel Lindsey is ABSOLUTELY incredible. You will not go wrong by hiring him. He is super responsive, talented, and kind. He (together with his wife, Amy, our officiant) helped make every aspect of wedding planning easy. He truly did a beautiful and perfect job at our wedding - we STILL have people reaching out to us to tell us how fantastic he was over a month later. The DJ and officiant are two of the most important vendors you can book - they really are the ringleaders of the vibe and beauty of the day. With such an important role, you need to make sure you bring the right people in for it - and trust me, Joel and Amy ARE those right people.
Joel played guitar and sang during our 2 hour pre-ceremony cocktail reception, and he was absolutely top notch. Pure perfection and a true professional musician. He played perfect songs according to the vibe we wanted - he just knew exactly what to play! People raved about how cool it was that he played during the cocktail reception, providing a perfect backdrop to the lawn games and appetizers we had going on. He even learned a new song for us that I requested - an acoustic version of Tina Turner's "Simply the Best". He played it while I walked down the aisle per my request, and I literally cried when I heard him play it because it was so beautiful and meaningful to me, exactly what I envisioned. He also played our first dance song live (Can't Help Falling in Love) and it was beautiful and tear-jerking.
After the ceremony, he was an absolute professional with leading the events. He had all of his equipment set up and ready to go for every part of the night and I didn't worry about a thing. He was incredibly kind to our guests, played all of the songs we wanted him to, and filled in the rest with songs perfectly curated for a super fun vibe. We didn't originally plan on having a dance floor because when we were planning the wedding, we had no idea what things would be like in May and didn't even know if anyone would be vaccinated or not.....but with almost every one of our 40 guests and vendors fully vaccinated, we really started to regret that decision on the day of, and felt a teeny bit sad that we wouldn't end the night with fun dancing. But thank god we hired Joel, because he just KNEW. After cutting the cake, we all knew the vibe was changing, and Joel just jumped RIGHT on it - he smoothly changed gears into dance party vibes, and everyone just immediately jumped on it and what was already the perfect evening was turned even more incredible. For all of us it was the first time we had done anything like that in over a year since the pandemic, so it was just like magic to see my family and friends dancing, laughing, and singing along to the perfect music Joel chose. It turned into the awesome dance floor we had always dreamed of, and Joel made that happen because he is the best musician and DJ in the entire world. ☺️
I can't end this review without plugging Joel's wife, Amy. If you're also looking for an officiant, Joel's wife Amy was ABSOLUTELY incredible. Just like Joel - kind, warm, friendly, responsible, organized, prepared, and on and on. We asked her to help with our rehearsal and I'm so glad we did - she was so good at leading our bridal party and directing what needed to happen. She made it easy and fun. As for the day of...I get teary just thinking about it! Her ceremony was so beautiful.....the way she speaks is almost musical, but not in a cheesy way at all. She just makes the whole ceremony so meaningful and tailors it to however you want it, providing suggestions if you're lost and helping brainstorm if you have an idea that's not quite fleshed out. I made a bunch of (I'm sure annoying) changes, but she was just totally cool and flexible and never made me feel like I was being annoying. I cried throughout the entire ceremony because of how beautifully she wrote it and presented it.
At the end of the day, my husband and I both thanked our lucky stars that we got to work with such an incredible DJ and officiant. Hire. Joel. and. Amy. Lindsey. -

Joel & Amy were quite simply the best. We had been to a friend's wedding featuring Amy in the ceremony and Joel performing acoustic and as a live DJ. When it came time for us to start planning our wedding day, it was clear we needed to have them at our wedding as well. Every single piece of the process was so simple and expertly done. From the initial touchpoints, contract signings, price for each item (we had Amy, Joel, a violinist, and uplighting) to the documentation in Google Docs and finally, the day itself - everything was perfect.
I TRULY cannot imagine having anyone else for our day. They will both continue to stand out as one of the best selection of vendors we had. Amy was attentive, responsive to emails, and offered genuine support and advice along the way. She was outstanding in the ceremony as well - so well spoken and passionate about what she does. Joel played acoustic for our ceremony and cocktail hour alongside a violinist. We received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on their singing abilities. Joel performed our first dance live after learning the song and engaged the crowd all night long. Having the flexibility of both live music and DJ'd music throughout the event was amazing.
Do yourself a huge favor and book this dynamic husband and wife team. It'll be the best decision you make about your wedding day. -

I first saw Joel a few years ago at my cousin's wedding, and I was instantly hooked! He has an incredible voice that really creates an amazing atmosphere for any event. Joel played at our wedding ceremony (even though it was in a church) and at our cocktail hour, but I've also seen him DJ the reception and man was it a party! He is also so easy and flexible to work with which really helped relieve some stress from the planning process :) Would absolutely use Joel again for a future event. -

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Joel Lindsey recommended to us from a friend. We are SO lucky that she did! From the very beginning Joel was kind, enthusiastic, and incredibly organized. Not only does he DJ the reception like many other DJ’s but, unlike other DJs, he did so much more! He DJ’d our ceremony and then sang during our cocktail hour- acoustic and guitar. He has an amazing voice and a great knowledge of what music sounds good at each point in the wedding. We suggested songs we liked but we knew Joel had it from there. Prior to the wedding he put everything into a document that outlined our entire day! Last but not least he knew our timeline and guided us through it from the speeches to the introductions. He was so organized that the day of was carefree and so much fun! During such a uncertain time in this world, you need to know the vendors care about your big day as much as you do and that’s what Joel provided for us. Thank you Joel!
Videographer!
I wrote a review about amazing Joel was and I wanted to add about Michael's videographer skills! My now husband and I didn't meet Mike until the day of because we booked through Joel Entertainment. He did not disappoint! He made sure to get multiple angles and moments during all of the critical parts of our wedding- taking photos with family and bridal party, details of the venue, speeches, ceremony, and of course the reception! He also interviewed some of our family and guests. Since having a wedding in 2020 brought so many changes we LOVE hearing the interviews. Once we saw the final product we were in awe! He sent us clear instructions on how to save the videos and provided a short version aligned with two of our favorite songs and a long version that included our full ceremony and speeches and fun behind the scenes of our wedding. On the day of Mike was so nice and easy to work with. We LOVE the videos and will cherish them forever! It may feel weird booking someone without meeting them but trust Joel! It was a great decision! Thank you Mike! -

Joel Lindsey is the most incredible wedding DJ you could ever hope to hire! He was amazing from start to finish! He is so talented! Beginning with my ceremony, he played guitar and sang. I always wanted to walk down the aisle to a specific song my husband and I like. Joel was able to learn it, and he made it sound incredible! He played live music through the entire cocktail hour. During dinner he play a live song or two in between recorded tracks. It was absolutely amazing and sounded so good! My Maid of Honor, who is getting married soon, leaned over during dinner and expressed how mad she was that she had already hired a different DJ for her wedding, because she now wanted Joel instead. Not only is he a talented musician, but when it came time to party, he got everyone on the dance floor!! Everyone had an amazing time at my wedding thanks to Joel. I had several people tell me they didn’t want the wedding to end because they were having so much fun! He blended dance songs, slow songs, and different genres perfectly! No one wanted to get off the dance floor! He also took control of the timeline of the wedding and made sure everything got done, like the bouquet and garter toss. He was organized, kind, and overall easy to work with. I cannot express enough about how amazing Joel Lindsey is as a wedding DJ and performer. I would highly recommend him! I was so lucky to have him as part of my wedding day. -

Joel provides an unparalleled level of customer service. He is extremely easy to work with and super organized to make event planning that much easier!
We loved that he was willing to play a mixture of acoustic songs as well as DJ. He was extremely entertaining and kept our wedding on schedule. Most importantly he kept the dance floor PACKED!!

Joel Lindsey Entertainment is an unmatched service - Joel did acoustics/guitar for our ceremony and DJed the reception, while his wife, Amy, was the officiant for the ceremony. Joel and Amy were extremely responsive and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. They took the time and effort to personalize our entire day down to the small details. Amy officiated our wedding in April at the Pittsburgh Botanical Garden and the service was absolutely perfect. Amy spent time with us in advance to meet with us in person to better understand our vision for the ceremony. Amy was incredibly responsive and helpful in finalizing the details and met with us for the rehearsal to ensure everything went smoothly.
The actual ceremony could not have been more perfect. Not only the words, but Amy’s demeanor and presence were amazing. She was so genuine and kind and truly captured who we are as a couple and gave meaningful advice on a lasting marriage. We had more people tell us how beautiful and memorable the service was and it would not have been possible without Amy. We HIGHLY recommend Amy for officiating your ceremony!! -

Not only did our Officiant, Amy, annunciate and direct our ceremony flawlessly, she even helped calm my nerves before the ceremony. They went above and beyond in so many ways. I give Joel Lindsey Entertainment my highest recommendation!

Joel and his band, Boulevard of the Allies, brought down the house at our wedding. Some highlights:
- We hired Joel for our ceremony (Joel and bassist), cocktail hour (Joel + partial band), and reception (Joel + 5-piece band)
- Joel MC’d the entire day, even when my dad decided to deliver a 21-minute speech (kudos for not cutting him off)
- For our ceremony, Joel was nice enough to learn two new instrumental songs
- We took dance lessons for our First Dance. Not only did Joel have his band learn our song, he even sent us an early recording so we could practice to his version. Joel didn’t even flinch at my groomzillaness when I asked him to extend the intro by 26 seconds.
Joel is a top-notch musician, but even more, he can read a crowd and control the flow of an event. Go to his website and listen to some of his covers. If you have the chance to book him, I promise you won’t regret it.

Amanda Sent on 05/27/2018Joel, Amy, and Mike were all amazing and honestly my favorite vendors from our wedding day. They made our wedding day run so smoothly. It was so helpful to plan our wedding with Amy and Joel using the GoogleDoc and making all the final touches together as a group. I must have emailed them each 100 times and they never minded. Amy spoke so well as our officiant and kept me so calm the entire time even before the ceremony. She made sure to come talk to me a few times before we got started and that really made me happy. Joel did not miss a beat on our music for the ceremony and reception. Everyone loved hearing him perform live for cocktails and dinner. He kept the dance floor full all night and had so many wonderful suggestions on his Dj info form, things I would have never thought to include that made our wedding that much better! Mike was a wonderful videographer and made it so fun to be filmed, he went around and interviewed people close to us. We actually didn't realize he was there sometimes, in a good way, meaning he wasn't in our faces too much trying to film, he was so kind! Every time someone tells me their getting married I tell them about Joel and his awesome group of people. Carly Sent on 11/04/2017Joel was so easy to work with and did an outstanding job! We are still hearing how much everyone loved the wedding because everyone was dancing all night long. He helped me with my dad and I's surprise dance mix which was a hit! He also did our up-lighting which looked amazing in our venue. Overall, Joel does an amazing job. From the acoustic guitar & singing at our cocktail hour as well as for the mother & son dance to the great play list to keep our guests dancing, he's one of a kind that I will recommend time and time again! I'm very glad to have chosen him and worked with I'm for our wedding. -

Angela Sent on 09/25/2017Joel Lindsey Entertainment was beyond amazing for my wedding in July. Joel helped me every set of the way and offered suggestions whenever I needed input. I love how flexible he was when we had a problem and had to switch our event date. We also added a violinist who was beyond amazing as well. I loved being able to have Joel and Bob (on the violin) playing live music when we asked, as well as involving my husband in some impromptu fun during dinner. Alexis was also amazing as our photographer and I am beyond pleased with all of the work she put in as well. Everyone was super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Joel made the entire day go smoothly and we all had fun dancing the night away (my legs hurt for days after the wedding from dancing so much). I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a unique and amazing music experience at your event.

Joel was great to work with and even learned a song for our wedding which sounded great. He was very easy to work with and helpful! The only problem is I wish we had found him earlier and had him do the music for our entire wedding and reception! I would highly recommend him and his services!
