  He walked us through it and let us review and suggest how the ceremony would go.

  Joel had a great selection of scripts for ceremonies and was able to take pieces of each one and put together one that we really loved! He was very accommodating, responsive and punctual. All things to keep a bride calm on her wedding day. I highly recommend him.

  Highly Recommend

  Joel was incredible. We were very lucky to find him as we didn't want a religious ceremony, and I'm not sure what we would have done otherwise. There was even a mishap with the marriage license (we misplaced it) and he was more than willing to meet with me to sign another one. He allows you to design your ceremony however you wish, and gives you plenty of ideas if you don't know where to start. We were beyond happy. :)

  Joel was very professional and willing to work with us on making our wedding just the way we wanted it to be. He had a sample selection of vows to choose from, and we found some that suited us perfectly. His introductory speech was thoughtful, and meaningful to us. He was willing to travel to meet us at our chosen location for our small, private wedding and was very gracious. We could not have been more pleased with the ceremony. I highly recommend Joel as a thoughtful and professional officiant.

Not only was he responsive to all of our questions, but he pre-answered several that we hadn’t fully realized we needed to ask yet! The scripts that he offers as a framework are easy to use and adapt to your needs. Finally, Joel was professional, courteous, and most importantly to us, likeable.

We had a non-religious ceremony, but we still wanted traditional elements to it. The resources on his website and his advice for the service were great, and we came out with a ceremony that was just perfect. He met with us to discuss what we were looking for, corresponded with us by email, and came to our rehearsal. Much of our day was stressful with other things that didn't go quite as planned, and we were so happy to be able to count on Joel to be there!
  
  I think the best thing about Joel overall is that he truly wanted to make our day special for us -- rather than reading from a script that has been used at dozens of other weddings, he allowed (and helped!) us design something unique for us and our relationship.
  
  He's affordable, friendly, helpful, and prompt! Definitely get in touch with him for your ceremony!

  I hired Joel to be my wedding officiant and I couldn't imagine anyone better for the job! I first reached out to him in April through wedding wire and received a response the same day. We began communicating through e-mail for the next several months figuring out details. Every e-mail I ever sent Joel was quickly answered and he would frequently check in with me as we neared my wedding date. One of my most favorite aspects of working with Joel and of my entire wedding was that he allowed me to write the entire wedding script myself. This is something that I so enjoyed doing and it made the ceremony incredibly personal for me and my husband. Joel helped me to edit it and gave advice and inspirational samples. We had a somewhat unconventional wedding, it took place on top of a mountain at 8,800 feet next to old mining structures from the 1800's. Joel was willing to travel over 100 miles and up a bumpy mountain road to get to our venue. We paid him for travel, yet it was an incredibly reasonable fee, in fact, his entire fee was more than reasonable. If you are in the south eastern Idaho region, I would HIGHLY recommend you use Joel Gardener for your officiant. Joel, thank you for making our wedding day so easy and stress free!

  Joel is an amazing wedding officiant and we are very thankful to Joel for everything he has done for us. Joel was very attentive and sensitive to our needs. With his help, everything turned out perfect! He helped us design our own ceremony and our own wedding script. He was always very enthusiastic and sincerely wanted to know what we wanted. He was great at communicating with our wedding planner and was always professional, kind and encouraging.
  
  We traveled 900 miles to Idaho Falls for our wedding and had to plan this wonderful day over the phone and email with Joel and our wedding planner. Joel made planning the ceremony long distance easy and comfortable. He was extremely accommodating and patient even with last minute changes and adjustments. For example, we found out that the clerk’s office was going to be closed the day we were planning to get the marriage license. We called Joel immediately and he met us in right away at the clerk’s office to help us, even though he was running late to a family activity.
  
  The ceremony was beautiful and amazing! Joel is a remarkable speaker and has an incredible presence. Everyone could tell he was happy for us. He performed the ceremony so perfectly to every last detail that we feel lucky and blessed Joel was our officiant.
  
  Joel told us that he originally became an officiant to help his friends, and continued to be an officiant because he enjoys helping every couple have the wedding of their dreams. We definitely saw this to be true in everything he did for us.

  We were keeping it simple, and did not have a rehearsal. The evening of our wedding, Mr. Gardner was on time and prepared for he ceremony. He performed the ceremony with feeling and caring even though we had never met him in person before. He made our special day very memorable. I would recommend his services to anyone.

  Joel was very helpful over the phone. I was helping my daughter find an officiant in Idaho as she was having trouble. Our glitch was I was in upstate NY, needless to say that presented its own challenges but Joel went thru everything with me and then with my daughter. I would definitely recommend him to family and friends
