We loved having Joey as our violinist. He is an extremely talented musician! He was able to accommodate changes for us and did not seem to have any hesitation when it came to showing up in an unexpected snowstorm the day of our wedding. Joey has many years of violin experience and even offered to learn new music that was personal to us which he played so beautifully that a few guests were in tears. I couldn't afford an entire string quartet, but I do not feel like I needed one with Joey playing the violin. Many of our guests mentioned later that the violin was their favorite part. I even changed around some of my wedding schedule so that I could enjoy the violin music for cocktail hour! Adding an extra hour of violin time for the cocktail hour was well worth it to me. Joey was even willing to extend his services for a small fee after the originally contracted time as guests were still wanting to dance. Advice I received from many people when looking into hiring a DJ was "make sure you get a good one". No mistakes were made here. Thank you Joey, it was a wonderful pleasure to have you on your special day! -

What an absolute Star
Joe was incredible. He was so pleasant to work with in the days leading up to our wedding. He really put me at ease. He made everything work exactly how we were hoping to, even my special requests. I was delightfully surprised to hear my favorite songs transpose to violin pre-ceremony. The guestd loved him so much during cocktail hour. As our DJ, he made the evening so much fun, even the hiccups. He kept the energy fun and everything was so personalized to who we are. I cannot say enough nice things about him. -

Joe was AMAZING! He brought the vibes, set the tone, impressed our guests and kept them on the dance floor! We hired Joe to play violin for our ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as DJ our reception at the Barn at Fallingwater on 10/4/2025. He exceeded my expectations and our guests loved him too! He knows how to make sure you get what you want and protects your wishes from guests who might not know how to read the room. No doubt - I would hire Joe all over again. From the moment we talked to Joe, we knew that he’d be a great fit for our wedding. During cocktail hour and dinner, he played violin, focusing on a lot of modern songs we liked (Pink Pony Club!) He is an excellent violinist and our guests loved listening to his music.
When it came time to dance, Joe effortlessly combined songs from different eras and genres so that everything flowed perfectly. We were dancing along with our guests for the rest of the night! We appreciated how he took the time to help us craft a great set, but he still used his judgment to ensure that it all worked together. We had a mashup of songs from AC/DC to Lady Gaga and on to the likes of Depeche Mode and Weird Al as an example. Who doesn’t want to cut their cake to “Eat It?!”
If you are looking for a DJ who really knows all kinds of music and will help you craft a unique and fun set, talk to Joe! His violin playing will also be the perfect touch. Highly recommended! -

Joe was absolutely incredible - his performance at our wedding welcome party added such a special and elegant touch. It truly elevated the entire evening. Joe is professional, kind, and so easy to work with. This is the second time we've booked Joe for an event and our guests still talk about how beautiful the music was. -

I recommend Joe wholeheartedly, without hesitation or reservation
We hired Joe to perform at our wedding reception on September 22, 2024, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made. Joe is not only an exceptionally talented violinist and DJ, but also an incredibly warm and engaging person who made a deep impression on us and all of our guests.
I had seen Joe perform several times at small venues around Pittsburgh, and each time I was blown away by his versatility and immersive musical style. He effortlessly blends and switches between genres (e.g., jazz, classical, folk, metal — you name it) and brings a unique energy to every performance. At our wedding, he seamlessly moved between violin sets and DJ segments, creating an atmosphere that was both elegant and joyful.
Joe was extremely professional and easy to work with throughout the planning process. He took time to understand the tone we wanted to set, and brought thoughtful musical choices that complemented the vibe of our outdoor celebration beautifully. He was also incredibly flexible when it came to budget, which we deeply appreciated.
On the day of the event, Joe showed up early, was impeccably prepared, and — beyond the music — genuinely connected with our guests. My dad in particular really enjoyed chatting with him, and several other friends told us afterward how impressed they were by his performance and his presence.
In short: Joe exceeded our expectations in every way. His performance elevated the entire day. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to any couple looking for a talented and kind musician/DJ who will bring something truly special to their celebration. -

Steven Vance Entertainment, specifically Joe Molinaro, was a dream to work with. Guests loved our combination of romantic violin during our ceremony with a more classic DJ for the reception. Joe was extremely professional, knowledgeable, talented, and approachable. Something I hadn’t thought about before booking was that you don’t really rehearse with your ceremony musician ahead of time, so they must have the skill to adapt the music selection to the number of people walking, their speed, and the distance of the aisle - JOE NAILED THIS! He also did a great job keeping the night engaging for guests, not only playing our requests but also using the real-time crowd as a guide for what might be fun to play. Highly, highly recommend not only SVE, but especially Joe. -

We hired Joe as a DJ for our wedding. Leading up to our wedding, Joe was responsive and so helpful. He made us feel so comfortable. We had a majority of 20-35-year-olds at our wedding, and he kept them on the dance floor all night. He really knows how to read the vibes and keep the party going. You definitely will not regret hiring Joe for your next event. -

Joe was a great fit for our wedding reception and we are so glad we chose him! His performance on violin during our cocktail hour was amazing and he kept the dance floor going all night with his ability to read the crowd. Joe played pop/rock violin for our ceremony and DJ'ed our reception. He was phenomenal and I'd recommend him to anyone. We were able to send a list of our requested songs for different parts of the ceremony, reception entrance, frist dance, etc. He nailed them all! Our guests loved the unique touch the live, modern, ceremony music added and our dance floor was full all night. So many of them commented positively about Joe and the music, even up to a year later! Joe was a great personality and responsive to communications prior to and during our wedding. Wouldn't change a thing! -

Joe was open to learning a few different custom songs for our wedding! It was a dream to hear the songs played on the violin as I walked down the aisle. Thanks Anna! I love it when people have custom requests. I think for some of yours I even had to make my own backing tracks because they were that underground. I think it's great when ceremony music is uniquely meaningful, and I also think it's great when people opt for something I may have played many times.
