Simply the Best!

Had seen JK Band at two weddings already so we knew going into it that they would be absolutely incredible and they did not disappoint. We also found that Joel was the utmost professional throughout the process and incredibly helpful.

Highly recommend the JK Band!

JK Band was absolutely phenomenal at our wedding! The band came recommended by our venue and definitely lived up to expectations. One of the most unique and valuable parts of working with them is getting to work directly with the bandleader, Joel, who is both a true professional and an artist. No middlemen, no surprises, just complete confidence in exactly what you’re getting on the big day. Their energy was incredible, especially during the opening dance set, which set a fantastic tone for the entire evening. They kept the night running smoothly, followed the schedule flawlessly, and MC’d with ease and charm.

The band played a wide range of music across genders, genres, styles, and decades, ensuring every guest, no matter their age, was out on the dance floor. They kept the energy high from start to finish. And their horah was absolutely outstanding, full of life, joy, and celebration.

We couldn’t have asked for a better band. Highly, highly recommend JK Band!

Best band ever (2 times over!)

We originally met Joe at my sister in law’s wedding. Everyone from 10-80 years old was dancing the night away - it was such a jam. We hired them for our wedding and couldn’t have been happier. It was hard to get people to sit down for dinner (which Joel warned us would happen). Since our wedding, we’ve been fielding requests from friends and family to hire them. They were beyond professional, super open to all of our ideas, and had the best music. And they had the best price by far for a 10 piece band. Would 10000% hire them again.

Great band and experience!

We saw the JK Band at another wedding and knew that we wanted to have them play at ours as well, and they were great to work with! Joel was very helpful in helping us figure out not just which songs should be played at specific points of the wedding, but how they should be played as well. For example, he came up with the idea of having our first dance song segue into the Hora, which was a huge hit for our guests whether they were previously familiar with it or not. He and his band also learned a few songs we requested and they did a fantastic job with them. We had a nine piece band with Joel on guitar and vocals, as well as two female vocalists, one additional male vocalist, a bass player, drummer, saxophone, keyboard (who also played our ceremony and did a great job), and trumpet, and they were all fantastic musicians. We had so much fun dancing with them and throughout the course of the night we had several guests come up to us and say how great they were, and they played a huge role in making the whole day special for us. We would definitely recommend the JK Band for anyone planning a wedding!

Joel and the JK Band brought so much energy to the dancefloor. It was packed the whole night. Many people afterward said they hadn't heard that good a wedding band in a long time. And Joel was so easy to communicate with before the wedding. Would definitely recommend!!!

The jk band rocked our world!

We had our wedding at The Lake House in Wolcott CT. The JK Band was recommended by The Lake House and their performance was beyond anything we expected. Our guests had never seen or heard anything like this band at wedding. People were dancing from song one until the end of the night. Yes, the band was talented but it's more than that. They have personality and joy. They made our wedding a true celebration. The singers came out on the dance floor and got down with the guests. The band leader Joel is a charismatic guy and we liked and trusted him immediately. He and The JK Band did not let us down! By the way, The Lake House was a fantastic place for a wedding. Private lake, amazing food and service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Amazing band!

I can not write enough about this band from the beginning experience of booking to the event itself. Professional, respectful, kind, talented, and fun! The dance floor was packed! Magical night for all and the band had a large part in that! Would highly recommend !

Best band ever!

We got married recently at The Current (a part of Chelsea Piers) and had the JK band as a part of our big day! They completely rocked it and we had every guest on the dance floor thanks to them! The JK band was extremely lively, engaging and worked with us to customize our whole experience (from song requests, giving us suggestions of music we could use for various parts of our wedding) and made sure that they played music for all ages and got everyone moving and out on the dance floor! Couldn't recommend more! They are extremely talented musicians!

Book this band! It will be the best decision for your wedding!

A friend recommended this band as they had performed at her wedding about 10 years ago. I was not there but trusted her opinion. I video chatted with two bands, never saw them perform in person, and watched one or two of JK's videos. I could feel the energy just by watching the video. And they did not disappoint in person! We had a Zoom call with Joel the week before the wedding. He learned our wedding song and about 5 other songs! He is professional and charismatic. The band is full of energy and personality! As we walked around the tables to say hello to our guests, EVERY SINGLE PERSON (this is not an exaggeration)
complimented us on the band. And still are. "Where did you find them? " , "They are unbelievable!" , "Incredible band!" I could go on and on. Our wedding was at the Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht club and the room was large so we knew we wanted a band. We went with the 9 piece band, adding sax and trumpet and it was worth every penny!! The horns played a solo bit during dinner and it was amazing. The band members are all gems! Joel is such an easy going guy and it made the wedding hassle free. People have been texting and calling me days after the wedding saying how unbelievable the entire event was - the band and the venue.
They always say the music and the food make the wedding and Joel and his band and Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht hit it out of the park!! Book JK Band!!

Great performance and support!

My wife and I were lucky enough to get a preview of The JK Band at her brother’s wedding a bit over a year prior. November 21’ at City Winery in Manhattan. They made the evening special and there were nothing but positive comments among the guests.

When it came time to plan our wedding we knew we were looking for a similar experience. Knowing what they brought to the table the value is astounding! They handled the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and the extended time covering with a bit extra performance and DJ-ing the final hour. They assisted coordinating everything, with a few band members covering the smaller parts before the full eleven piece set for the reception. Joel was very helpful selecting music, and working with the venue to move the party along and keep the energy up!

Some of my guests and I were coworkers in the stage production space, as well as a cousin who DJ’d weddings for sometime - they and (all the guests) were blown away by the fun and professional handling of the event.

I would recommend the band to anyone!

Absolutely Amazing!

The JK Band was the BEST decision we made for our wedding! I cannot recommend the JK band more. The videos simply do not do it justice. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night. Our wedding was almost two months ago and people are still talking about the band and how talented they were. My husband and I got married at the Pleasantdale Chateau in April 2023 and our number one priority was having an amazing band. The JK Band is the real deal. Our wedding would not have been the same without them and we are SO grateful to have made the decision to hire them.

After doing our due diligence in exploring local options, we met with Joel, the leader of The JK Band, who came highly recommended. Joel is amazing and we clicked right away, making our choice of a band extremely easy. We met with Joel about a month before the wedding to finalize our requests and he was super helpful in making sure our music was consistent with our vision. For example, we had wanted to play an acoustic version of Bob Marley’s “Is this Love” for our first dance and when Joel heard the song he came up with the amazing idea of playing the version we wanted, but then transitioning into the original reggae version half way through to get the party started. It was MAGICAL! Joel also helped us pick some of the other songs that we were struggling with, which helped take a lot of stress off us. He was incredibly helpful. In addition, Joel and his team went out of their way to learn songs that we felt strongly about for the wedding. Perhaps most importantly, THEY ARE AN EXCEPTIONALLY TALENTED GROUP OF PERFORMERS.

The Best Wedding Band!

My husband and I hired JK entertainment for our wedding and we could not have been happier! The band was amazing. Everybody at the wedding could not stop telling us how awesome the band was. People are still talking about it! It was really special that they were able to learn a new song for our first dance. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire night. Highly recommend you request shout to close the night out! Joel was very responsive throughout the whole planning process- meeting with us several times via zoom to finalize everything between the timeline of speeches, dances, and song selection. We would love to hire them again for future events.

A huge hit!

The JK Band was undoubtedly one of the top highlights from our wedding reception! Starting with a duo at our outdoor cocktail hour to begin the evening with some light, enjoyable music, they kicked things into high gear once the party moved inside to dance the night away with the full 9-person band. We lost count of how many guests came up to us and said this was one of the best bands they had ever seen - that's how good The JK Band is. Working with Joel during the planning stages was very helpful as he was able to understand what we were looking for, took song requests (that the band learned and performed amazingly), and offered suggestions to ensure a nice flow for the evening music-wise that worked out perfectly. We can't say enough great things about this group's talent, professionalism, and fun nature. It made for an unforgettable night!

This band made our wedding! I booked them years after attending my cousins wedding when they played and knew I needed them to play at my wedding. Joel is accommodating and very responsive. His band is talented and everyone had the best time.

Amazing Band, Great Energy

Incredible experience with the JK Band - they made our wedding unforgettable! Best Band Ever!!

The JK Band blew the roof off our wedding at The Box House Hotel in Brooklyn. Joel is an natural and the entire band is filled with pure talents. We genuinely could not have picked a more professional, fun band to lead our dance party. At least half of our guests came up to us and said they were the best band they’d ever heard at a wedding. I’d recommend them for weddings, birthdays, work functions, pool parties, bake sales, flight cancellations, etc. HIRE THEM.

Amazing band!

The JK Band was incredible at our wedding at City Winery in November. Everyone is still raving about the band 3 weeks later! They set the tone for a fun night right from the start. Joel is super responsive and helped us navigate the timeline with the venue perfectly. They learned a new song for one of our dances and the set list was a perfect mix of songs to cater to different generations. Could not have asked for a better experience! Hands down THE BEST band!!

Joel and the JK Band did a phenomenal job performing at our wedding this past Saturday (10/30/2021). Joel was super accommodating and prompt in answering all of our requests, including driving all the way to The Preston Barn in Dover Plains, NY for our special day. Our requests for certain ceremony, cocktail hour and reception music were met without hesitation. I don't think the words: No/ we can't exist in Joel's vocabulary! The bands energy, personality and professionalism keep everyone on the dance floor the entire night. Joel and his team delivered EXACTLY what they promised and MORE. If you are on the fence about hiring them, please don't be. You won't be disappointed.

The JK Band made our rescheduled wedding celebration worth the wait!

Working with the JK Band was fantastic! Joel was so flexible and understanding as we rescheduled our wedding twice due to covid. We were finally able to have an anniversary celebration this year and the JK Band brought the party! Joel told us he wanted to “rock the room” after the first dance, and that’s exactly what they did! The band played a wide variety of songs that kept all of our guests (wide age range) on the dance floor up until the very last song. Joel and the band even learned a few songs that they had never played before at our request – we so appreciated it! We trusted Joel to read the room and play songs that would keep everyone engaged, and they were able to do just that, they’re truly experts! We got so many compliments from our guests on the JK Band that night and in the days after. Having the JK Band at our celebration was worth the wait! I cannot recommend them enough!

Great Night with the JK Band

From the second they started playing everyone was on the dance floor. Joel was a happy, fun upbeat person to deal with and this attitude came through when he performed with the JK Band. Everyone projected those same vibes. He was helpful and organized and directed us when filling out the planner. We had a terrific 9 piece band. It was a great night filled with music and dancing!

The best wedding band!

Working with the JK Band was fantastic, I can't recommend them enough. Joel was helpful even throughout our wedding planning process - helping to advise the best tent size & dance floor. The band showed up totally prepared, from start to finish, they brough the ENERGY. They even got the guests involved with singing and dancing and it all truly felt like family by the end. The band was so friendly to my husband & me afterwards, and even wrote us a sweet wedding card! I have been to so many weddings, and the JK Band is by far the best. They are a must book if you live in the NY Area! Trust me!

Best Planning Decision!!

Hiring the JK Band was the best decision we made for our wedding! A colleague recommended them when we got engaged after attending a wedding where they were playing. We looked them up and were instantly excited about hiring them for our wedding! Joel was very communicative and we quickly had information on all of the options they offer. We went with 2 musicians for our ceremony, 2 musicians for cocktail hour, and a 9-piece band for our reception. Joel was so helpful in planning our ceremony music and was open to song requests. When we told him our dog was named after the song Bennie and the Jets, he told us they didn’t know it, but would learn it for us (they nailed it!) Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful the band was and the dance floor was filled all night. The musicians seemed to be having as much fun as we were, which made it even more enjoyable. There is nothing like live music, and the JK Band was incredible. We highly recommend them!

Joel and the JK band helped make our wedding the best night of our lives. They were absolutely fantastic. Great Choice for music and hosting

The JK band did an amazing job with the music, coordination and MC'ing the party and getting everyone out on the dance area ( No dancefloor due to Covid). Joel was easy to work with and was always available. I wrote a song that the band learned and played for my Daughter and it went beautifully! You can expect to have a great event with them on your team!

Incredible band that will make your wedding the talk of the town!

Wow Joel and the JK Band were incredible to work with from day 1! A simple review is not enough to capture how great they were! They took the time to understand our musical desires for the ceremony and reception and made helpful suggestions along the way with their depth of entertainment experience. The band was extremely accommodating to the point of learning a few songs specifically for our ceremony and reception. The band coordinated very well with our other vendors so we did not have to worry about anything related to music leading up to our special day.

When it came to the actual ceremony and reception the JK Band made it a day to remember. Even over a month after our wedding, friends and family keep talking about how much fun they had and how fantastic the band was. The harmonies were on point, energy consistently high all through the night and people of all ages could not stay off the dance floor. Nearly everyone stayed through the last song because they were having so much fun. Really the JK Band was the heartbeat of of our celebration and we could not recommend them more highly. Amazing Band, Best Value, Preparation, Quality and They Know How to Party

My wedding was on NYE and we had a large crowd/a lot of hype to live up to. The JK Band were the heartbeat of the party. From months prior to the wedding, Joel reached out to us with a detailed form to really understand our vision. We had several follow up calls, an in person meeting- really as much as we wanted prior in order to be sure it was what we wanted. Even just as important, the band took the exact songs we wanted- but then from there, they added songs on the same exact wavelength and really showed why they are such quality musicians. While we felt comfortable with them before the wedding and they really delivered on your promise. They are true professionals(and personally Joel is a great guy) and the members of the band were fantastic. I wish I was having another wedding every year so I could hire this band!!! . Also- the first dance was amazing. It was so personal yet also by the end of it, it brought everyone to the dance floor surrounding us and singing it out loud.

Absolutely incredible!

My sister used the JK Band for her wedding... we loved them so much we used them for mine 6 months later! From start to finish, the JK Band was incredible. The dance floor was packed the entire night with people of all ages. Not only did they knock it out of the park at our wedding reception, but Joel was extremely communicative and wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Wedding planning can be stressful, and I knew I was in good hands working with Joel. He gave us song recommendations, catered to our song choices, and kept our wedding reception high energy for the entire evening. Would HIGHLY recommend the JK band for a wedding - you will not be disappointed!

Unbelievable experience!

We had our wedding on 9/15/19 at Gotham Hall, which is a big space to fill with sound, and the JK Band did it and then some! Not only was the JK Band's sound incredible, but Joel is incredibly professional and personalized. (He even coordinated with my husband, the groom, for the band to perform an original song by my husband!) Multiple people asked me for the name of the band at the wedding. Can't recommend highly enough.

Wow wow wow

We had originally heard of the JK Band watching them perform at a family friend's wedding. When it came time to start planning our own wedding, my family and I knew booking the JK Band was a must! Throughout the entire process, Joel made everything so easy. His main priority was to ensure my family and I had everything we envisioned. One specific vision was the father/daughter dance. My dad and I had the idea of starting slow and ending with a fast song, only we had trouble choosing the songs. With the help of Joel we danced to My Girl and ended with Ain't No Mountain High Enough, which got our entire reception dancing. Throughout the night, the dance floor remained packed with people of all ages. The JK Band was able to appeal to all groups of people with different styles of music. The next day, all the guests could not stop talking about how amazing the band was. "That band can really rock a room!" "That band was absolutely incredible..." were just a few of the comments. A moment we will never forget is when the JK Band performed the song "Shout," the grooms favorite wedding song, which resulted in a group of guys tossing the bride and groom into the air repeatedly. It was incredible. We would recommend this band to anyone - in fact we loved them so much, they are performing AGAIN at my sister's upcoming wedding! The JK Band made our wedding the best day of our lives.

THE highlight of our reception

In just the three days since our wedding, we've had over a dozen guests rave about how great our band was, and a half-dozen more who have asked for their information to hire them. Moreover, my family includes several professional musicians, and they all though the JK Band was incredible. We are SO glad we hired them.

We hired The JK Band after hearing them play at our friends' wedding years earlier. Their performance stuck out in our mind so much so that they were one of the first groups to come to mind when we were planning our own wedding! Right away, Joel was very responsive to our emails, and came to our apartment in NYC to meet with us in person to answer any questions we might have before hiring him. It was clear he was organized and highly professional, right from the start. As we planned our wedding, Joel was very responsive to our questions. The band's pre-wedding questionnaire was comprehensive and helped us feel like we were all on the same page regarding the type of music we wanted played going into our wedding day. The most incredible wedding band!!!! We couldn't get our guests off the dance floor! We can't say enough wonderful things about Joel and the JK band. They traveled to the Hotel DU PONT in Delaware for our wedding and rocked a huge ballroom, keeping the dance floor more than alive all night long. From our first conversation with Joel, we could tell he knew his stuff and he kept us at ease with the planning process. The band was super adaptable; played beautiful soft music for our ceremony, delivered classic music for the cocktail hour, then brought the heat for a non-stop party at the reception. We've had many friends and family members comment on how much they enjoyed the band, with several of our parents' friends commenting "Best Wedding Band Ever!". We are so glad to have worked with Joel and JK band, and really hope to be a guest at a wedding they play for soon!!

Wow wow wow! JK Entertainment delivered from start to finish! Joel and the entire band were an absolute pleasure to work with! We got married in Nyack, New York and could not have been happier with our choice in band. Joel kept in touch months prior to our wedding and worked with us to ensure our wedding had our own personal touches. His band learned songs we requested and executed flawlessly. We had such an amazing time with the JK Band. The dance floor was packed the entire night and Joel and team stopped at nothing to ensure the party kept rocking the entire night. From the moment we booked, we had several calls to dicusss which music to play, what songs the band would learn and even navigate logistics of how to introduce different family members. Joel and crew learned newly released music and mixed that in with classics to make for an epic dance party. We received so many compliments that JK was the best band people had heard. The band allowed my husband to perform his favorite song which was such a great memory for us to share. Overall, Joel and band are highly professional and very easy to work with. In September 2017, the JK Band elevated my daughter’s wedding reception into a resounding celebration that we will cherish forever. Through their energy, spirit, and ability to crush a wide range of music, this nine-piece band infused the night with joy and reverie. Bandleader Joel Krantz read the crowd beautifully, playing an array of songs that resonated with our guests and had the dance floor thumping all night. Joel was a delight to work with before and during the event, his only goal to meet my daughter’s wishes, a goal that he and his band far exceeded. One highlight came mid-reception after a bridesmaid named Caroline finished her toast on an emotional note. Joel then led the band into “Sweet Caroline,” a fitting follow-up to Caroline’s toast that underscores Joel’s thoughtfulness and warmth. Another exquisite facet to the evening took place over dinner, when Joel played a soft and lovely guitar, and then a band mate followed with the soothing sounds of his saxophone. All night, the sound of the room was just right. It is no wonder that in the days after the wedding, friends shared these comments: “That band was out of this world!” “What a great band.” “Where did you find that band?” “That band really rocked it, I’ve never seen Matt dance before.” I give me strongest recommendation to the JK Band, without hesitation or condition.

Terissa and I recently got married on July 8, 2017. We used JK Entertainment featuring the JK Band. Our rating is 5 Stars- all the way. Our guests' rating is 5 stars- all the way.

Joel was amazing to work with. From the get go, he was responsive and easy to communicate with. He checked in with us all steps of the way, to ensure that we had all necessary items completed. One thing Joel did really well with was listening; he heard all of our requests/needs and made them happen.

On to the night- The JK Band performed! Joel played to the audience and was able to keep all our guests out of their seats. Everybody was dancing and the floor was full for the whole night! The bands' sound was sharp and crisp. Joel and his lead vocals hit all of their notes on all of the songs. We are so glad we picked the JK Band. They really made it an amazing wedding for us.

It's been weeks since the wedding. Family and friends are still raving about it. I can only say remarkable things here.

Wow! Joel and the band were amazing! We had a band cancel on us a few months before our NYE wedding and were so lucky to book the JK band before they were booked by someone else. They had all of our guests on the dance floor for 4+ hours of dancing! Not only can they play great music, but they can MC as well. Joel (band leader) checked in on us multiple times throughout the night to ensure everything was going well. Prior to our wedding, they sent us a very long songlist in which we could tell them what types of music to play. Our wedding was in the Albany area- so they are open to traveling as well! Can't recommend them more! Hope to see them at another party/wedding!

The JK Band is the absolute best band to ever play at a wedding! My daughter was married at the Pine Hollow Country Club in East Norwich, Long Island. It has a magnificent ballroom and the right band to play here is the JK Band! They filled the room with an energy and sound that had the dance floor full the entire night! Joel is great to work with and a complete professional. He knows what will make a wedding work and he delivers. His band members are top of the tier! The vocals, brass, percussion, guitars - all totally cool and super talented. The work a crowd like no other band I ever saw. when their vocalists come into the crowd it's amazing. We got married at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, and the JK Band is not only one of their preferred vendors, but also one of the most affordable options we saw for NYC when looking for live music. Joel and his gang kept EVERYONE on the dance floor all night long, and we have received rave reviews everyday since the wedding from people young and old. I have never danced so much in my life. My fiance and I also had some very specific requests that Joel & the band not only accommodated but executed seamlessly. I wish we could do the whole night over again!!

We hired the JK Band for our wedding and they were FANTASTIC! Everyone (and I mean everyone) commented how great the band was. My cousin said that he knew from the first song, that the wedding was going to be great. Joel was very responsive and even met me at the venue ahead of time to discuss the set-up. The singers got the crowd dancing, even my husband's 91 year old mother! I wish we could have another reception so we could hire JK again. I'm so proud of my husband for finding the band online and setting up the meetings. Even though we looked at other bands, we could not have done any better! We will miss Joel and his band. Absolutely outstanding! The JK Band delivered in every way for our wedding! First of all, like many others have said, they kept everybody dancing all night long. Even people who weren’t on the dance floor couldn’t help dancing in their chairs! Everyone at the wedding has been talking about how great this band was. They also got me and my wife dancing more than we ever have, and we’re not usually big dancers! I can’t say enough good things about this band. Joel was great to work with. He and I came up with the *perfect* ceremony music and the piano player nailed it! Joel even learned our first dance song (not a super popular song) for us and he played it great! My parents and coworkers at the wedding could not stop raving about JK Band for weeks after my wedding. Everyone loved the music and energy they brought to the reception. They played really a wide range of music from 70's to recent dance music. Everyone was on the dance floor - even my groom's 80 year old grandma. The singers and JK brought everyone to the dance floor somehow. If I have another event to plan, I would not hesitate to have them perform again.

From the moment they played the first note, everyone in the room was impressed. They had people tearing up the dance floor consistently through the reception. It was truly impressive to witness the command they have over the flow of a party and sense for the perfect song to play next. The introductions, first dance, father/bride, and mother/groom dances went seamlessly. Everyone who I have since discussed the wedding with has agreed that JK was absolutely terrific. I'd add a sixth star if I could.

A number of years ago, the JK band played at my husband's cousin's wedding. It was so memorable for him that it was a no brainer to book them for our wedding. The JK band was absolutely amazing. We could not have asked for anything better. We have gotten a ton of compliments about them and they are definitely a huge part of why our wedding will always be remembered by friends and family. In particular, our first dance song (One and Only by Adele) was off the charts amazing! It was exactly how we were hoping it would sound if not better. Another reason why the JK band was so great was because of their ability to read the crowd and know what songs would make everyone stay on the dance floor. There were even a few songs they played that Joel and I did not go over and I looked at my husband and said, "How did they know to play this?! I love this song!" It really is a talent! Overall, working with Joel was one of the areas we never had to worry about within the wedding planning process. We really hope we get to go to a wedding that they play at in the future!! Highly recommended! You won't be disappointed!

Joel and the band had everyone at our wedding up on the dance floor the whole entire party. Everyone kept coming over to my husband and I saying how amazing the band was. Our guests were very happy with the fact that Joel and his band play a little bit of everything and that the music wasn't blasting. "It's so nice that we can still hear ourselves talk." Another guest at our reception said,"I normally never have the urge to get up and dance at weddings, and I was up on the dance floor the whole nigh, since the band was so lively and energetic." My husband and I, along with both of our families were extremely satisfied with them. They truly are a fantastic band who is worth every penny we spent.

To say the JK band exceed our expectations is an understatement!! Joel is organized and produced a show that had even out of town guests asking for his business card.

The voices, instrumental and overall sound was FANTASTIC and the variety the band performed appealed to all of our guest. The energy, professionalism and talent is unmatched. I can't say enough good things about this band. They made my wedding such an amazing day!!!

The JK Band performed at my son's wedding this Saturday-May 30, 2015-the professionalism, musicianship, vocals, and varied genres of music was second to none. The memory of this wedding will last forever in large part to the JK Band-The band was most accommodating and encouraging in allowing me -on sax- to play a tune while wife and son danced. We choose the JK Band to perform at our wedding and it was the BEST decision we ever made for our once-in-a-lifetime event! Not only was Joel easy to work with in the booking process, he was really knowledgeable in advising us on what music selections and order would work best for our ceremony and reception.

When it finally came down to our wedding day - from the ceremony music, to the cocktail hour, and throughout the entire reception, the band was PERFECT. You could tell they really loved what they do, because the energy in the room was amazing. Their musical skills were very apparent, and they really knew how to get our guests to the dance floor. The lead singers were also amazing in that they actually come out to the dance floor to sing and dance with the guests. They were part of our party, and they made the party a PARTY.

My guests are still raving about how great this band is. Do yourself a favor and book with them. And go for the full 9-piece band. They are AMAZING!!

From start to finish, wonderful. We had seen the JK band at numerous other family weddings, so we knew what to expect. Joel was very responsive through out the process, worked with us to craft the perfect night, then executed flawlessly. This band really knows their stuff and what works to create an awesome atmosphere. They were very accommodating to learning our requests, and sounded great the night of performing them. Everyone raved about the band (though the ones that were at previous weddings knew how great they were).

The ultimate goal for our wedding was to throw an amazing party where our friends and family (and ourselves) would have an awesome time. And, we wanted to make that happen with live music. JK Band took our vision over the edge and created a night of dancing that we have been getting rave calls about for the last week and a half and, I don't see those calls ending any time soon. All members of JK Band are such talented musicians and, they exude a powerful, positive energy that gets people on their feet quickly and keeps them up dancing all night long. We had such an unforgettable time singing and dancing along to music that spanned decades. Joel is very professional and easy to work with. Thank you JK Band for making our wedding on Sept 27th so special!! Hands down, they MADE the night! We got married in July and our friends and family are still talking about how great the JK Band was. They kept everyone dancing the whole night to an awesome variety of songs. We gave a few genre favorites, but for the most part, trusted the judgment of Joel & the band for the reception schedule/song selection and it worked out perfectly! They really know what they're doing. We don't typically write reviews online, but felt the JK Band truly deserved a shout-out. Everyone kept asking "Where did you find the band?" and in fact, it was right here through wedding wire! Joel and his band are absolutely amazing. We first saw them at a friend's wedding a year ago and we were so impressed that we knew we wanted them to play at our wedding. They're able to play a great variety of music incredibly well and all of our guests were dancing until the venue closed at 1.00a - including our 90-year-old grandmothers. I, personally, have yet to attend a wedding where as many people danced as much as they did and we received multiple compliments on our band selection as the night went on. Two different people at the wedding asked for Joel's contact information to share with some of their friends that are currently planning weddings. They learned songs that were special to us (even if they were really silly - 90s hip hop is basically the best thing ever).

Fantastic music aside, Joel is exceptionally great to work with. He's positive and upbeat and was always available to talk about the event while remaining open to any ideas we had. When we realized we had a problem the day of the wedding (we thought the venue would provide a microphone for the ceremony ... but in fact did not), Joel rushed down to the venue 2 hours early to set up a sound system with just moments to spare. He saved the wedding and we will be incredibly thankful for as long as we remember.

Book this band! You won't regret it!

We hired the JK Band to perform at our wedding at the Central Park Boathouse. They were really fantastic! They learned a special first dance song for us and performed it really well, and then at the last minute (literally 48 hours before the wedding) we asked to learn another hard song, Africa by Toto, so that one of our groomsmen could sing it with them. Even though they'd only performed that song once before, they absolutely rocked it at the wedding - the whole crowd gathered around to see the performance and then had a terrific dance set.
They can play all kinds of music - top 40, 60s, 70s, etc. And Joel, the leader, was very responsive to all of our emails and calls in the lead up. We highly recommend them.

I got married on April 12th and chose the JK band to play for our big day. I could not have made a better decision.

Joel Krantz and his band were truly phenomenal. From their level of follow-up, to their quality of service, everything was top notch. They were not only able to play a wide range of different genres from 60s to rap, but they played everything perfectly! There was only one song we wanted played that they had never played before, but they eagerly learned the song and played it well.

Overall, we could not be more happy with our decision to use the JK band. They had our entire party out and dancing the entire night and many of our guests have reached out to us since telling us how wonderful the band was. If you're looking for a band to play your wedding, I cannot recommend Joel and team enough. They were truly phenomenal!

The JK Band rocked the house on our new year's wedding!

The bandleader Joel was super courteous and professional, contacting us well in advance of the wedding to sort out specifics for the night. It's quite obvious they have done this many many times before, because no stone was left unturned in the planning process.

As far as the performance itself goes, our guests were on the dance floor all night! The musicianship and the way the band read the energy of the crowd was top-notch. an example: during the mother/son dance, the guests were in really high spirits. The original plan was to be seated after the mother/son dance and to hear toasts and speeches, but the JK band noticed the high energy in the room after the mother/son dance was a high-energy song. They fed off that energy and played a 20 minute set where all the guests rushed the dance floor. Not everyone can "run with it" off the cuff like that, but this band did, and that's what impressed me.

the singers and musicians all performed beautifully, the sound was mixed properly. the dynamics of each instrument could be heard properly without being too loud. the band did not overpower the venue, they sounded just right. professional. kick ass.

When my wife and I started planning for our wedding reception, we were debating between hiring a band or a DJ for the ceremony. We'd seen both services used and weren't sure a band was worth the extra money. A co-worker referred the JK Band to my wife and she really liked what she saw from the videos. She decided that we should hire the band for the reception. To be honest, I was indifferent about the decision at the time. It turned out to be the best decision we made about the reception. The JK Band is not your typical cover band. They have a wide range of vocalists so every song they sang sounded great. They did a great job reading the crowd and dance floor was full the entire night. And "entire night" is not an exaggeration. Because of the number of band members, there was no break in the music with an iPod running in the background like I've seen other bands do. Having the JK Band perform at our reception made a huge difference in our night, and I highly recommend them for your night as well. You will not regret it.

When you first meet Joel, you come away with one of those feel good first impressions that you are dealing with a true professional and a stand-up gentleman. My wife and I just had our wedding sunday night and believe me, we could not have been more right.

We knew the band was good from listening to their clips online and even seeing them perform at a live showcase in New York City, but those clips do not do justice to how TRULY spectacular the band is when performing during the wedding. They were so full of energy the entire night and the only time people left the dance floor was when family members gave speeches. At multiple points in the night, Joel and Roz, who is one of the lead singers, came into the crowd and started dancing and singing with all the guests. We have received countless phone calls telling us how terrific the band was. They put on an incredible show and they made our wedding night an unforgettable experience.

My wife and I even performed a surprise choreographed mashup dance for our guests and they were so enthusiastic about collaborating with us to make the performance flawless. They even learned a new song that was specially requested by my mother-in-law.

Joel was a pleasure to work with and we would recommend him and the JK band to anyone and everyone!

Joel and The JK Band performed at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding in New York City. The evening was magical. We trusted Joel and the Band to provide the perfect entertainment for the wedding, and they did. When we first met, Joel explained how he and the band members take their cues from the audience, and are able to create the perfect blend of musical choices to ensure a wonderful celebration. We were so happy with the entire evening, from the string/flute trio who performed at the ceremony to the Jazz ensemble at the Cocktail Reception to the full Band at the Dinner Dance, and are still hearing rave reviews from friends and family members who attended. The JK Band was amazing!! They played for our wedding at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers last month and did a fantastic job. They brought such a great energy and got everyone dancing. The slower songs, our first dance, the ballads while we ate dinner, were also just beautiful and I will remember them forever. My band truly made my party. Joel did everything that I asked and played EVERY song that I wanted. He and his band even learned songs that they have never even heard of to make me happy. The band did NOT stop the entire night and so many people gave us compliments about the band. The band is so incredibly talented and makes you want to keep dancing all night long. JK entertainment performed last night at my Daughter's wedding. Everyone, said they were the best band they ever saw. The music is continuous which you don't usually see, Even though they took breaks to eat, there were always band members performing. We had 11 pieces, their rate is so reasonable. They set the tone for our wedding, Interacting with and reading the crowd, keeping energy levels high all night long! By the third song of the night, we had most people coming up to us asking "where'd you find this band?!"

They are all so talented, and so clearly love what they do, which is why they' are so great.

If we had to do our wedding all over again, having the JK Band would be the first thing we would make sure we kept!!! This band was not just a band playing at a wedding, they were true performers. The JK Band had a way of making everyone come together on the dance floor. Comments are still being made about our wedding and how there was barely any space on the dance floor the entire night. Everyone was up and dancing to every song no matter how old or young they were. Each member of the band spoke with us as though they were friends coming to our wedding. They made us feel as though the whole world was enjoying our night with us. My daughter's wedding was last Saturday. We hired the JK Band because she had loved them at a friend's wedding, and Joel came all the way up to our home in West Hartford to talk with us about the band. We liked him from the start - professional, passionate about his music, and understanding about what makes a wedding terrific. So I felt confident and excited when the date arrived.

Let me tell you, they were AMAZING!! Even better than I expected! The music was first rate, and from tunes from the 40's to today's hits, it was infectious. People were up and dancing for every tune, from the bride and grooms's friends to my 86-year old mother. All I heard throughout the night, (other than how gorgeous the bride looked!), was how fantastic the band was.

The music at a wedding makes the party. It is worth paying for live music, and the best you can get - it will make your party memorable. I can not recommend the JK Band highly enough - best wedding decision we made!

Joel and his team thru us the wedding of the year last night! We saw the JK Band at a wedding 2 years ago and as soon as we got engaged we knew this was the band we had to have.
Joel is professional, responsive and such a pleasure to work with. With Hurricane Sandy hitting the tri-state area 10 days before the wedding, he still managed to review every last detail with me (with no power, heat, or water at his home!!!) without breaking a sweat.

After watching their demo and meeting with Joel, we knew our best bet would be to have JK play our wedding day! Every single person in this group is beyond talented. Their enthusiasm and passion for music is evident to all who encounter them. They kept our guests on their feet the entire night! Such a pleasure to listen to them perform. We have been married for a month and people are STILL talking about how amazing JK Band was at our wedding! We saw them at another wedding and as soon as i had my date set i booked them right away.
My brother has been to 3 weddings (including my own) and everyone is on the dance floor! I actually received 2 emails today from guests :

the wedding was awesome – seriously the best wedding band I’ve ever heard!
The wedding was a BLAST and I agree best band everrrr

I HIGHLY reccommend JK band for your wedding if you are looking for live music and everyone to be up on the dance floor!

Joel and the JK band made my wedding an excellent experience for everybody who attended. Not only did my friends rave about the music, but my parents friends were raving about the band also. A week before the wedding I asked Joel if he could learn a song that my father wanted to dance with me for the father/daughter dance. It was a song they did not know, but they learned it and my father said it was the best version of the song he ever heard. I gave them a few songs that were important to us when i met with them and Joel said "We'll take care of the rest. This is what we do." And they did it. The dance floor was packed all night. Thank you JK Band!!! A great time was had by all!

Not only did they exceed every expectation with their performance during the wedding, they could not have been more responsive in the months and weeks leading into the wedding. The JK band was in one word… INCREDIBLE! The JK Band was recommended to us by our wedding venue. We went to their website and watched their sampler video and instantly thought that they were the perfect band for us. From our first meeting with Joel over a year and a half ago and throughout the entire wedding process he made sure to tend to and respond to our every need. He even drove over to our apartment to chat with us about our special day and explain all of our options. A month before our wedding he even had the band learn a new song for our first dance.

All nine pieces of the band were true musicians. The vocals were incredible. Guests were out on the dance floor before we were even introduced! This continued throughout the entire evening. There was not one person at our wedding who did not dance. Even my husband’s 91 year old Grandma was out on the dance floor! During the wedding everyone was coming over to us and telling us how amazing the JK Band was. Many guests were telling us how their significant others never dance at weddings and how they normally have to try to drag them out on the dance floor, but this was not the case the night of our wedding. We had a hard time sitting and eating our dinner because we just wanted to get up and dance the night away. The dance floor was packed all night, and something was played for every age group.

Weeks after the wedding, guests were still calling our parents and saying how amazing the JK Band was and that they had never danced so much at any other wedding. We have been to over twenty weddings in the last three years and even though we are a bit biased this band stood alone at the top. We recommend this band to anyone who is engaged and looking for that band that will make your party a memorable one.

JK Entertainment was one of the best bands I have heard at a wedding; I am not just saying this because I was the bride. The band was outstanding and the party lasted all night. There was never a moment where any one of the guests would sit down; people stayed out on the dance floor until they had to eat or grab a drink. the band knew exactly how to read the crowd, and if there was any question the band leader would come and find you to make sure you are okay with the choice of songs or if you wanted any other songs played. Some of the singers would even come out onto the dance floor and sing and interact with the crowed...there were even a few times where it was almost karaoke like but wasn't. The band leader was a extremely helpful person and he actually made the wedding process a bit easier since he knew exactly what I wanted, and they best part was that if you wanted any specific song/songs played that they didn't know they would take the time to learn those songs.
I would recommend this band to anyone who wants their guests to have a great time and who wants to party all night!!
