  Best wedding photographer!

  There are not enough words to explain how much we love working with JJ! Her pictures are extraordinary. She knows exactly how to capture the moment, make her subjects look beautiful, and encapsulate moments we never want to forget. However, what really sets JJ apart is how comfortable she made us feel. We felt like we were wondering New York with our best friend during our engagement and wedding. At family photos, she got every shot we asked, kept us on schedule, all with a light-hearted attitude. We are so grateful to have JJ photograph our wedding and can’t wait for her to join us for future special occasions!

  "Exceptional" At Earning Trust

  I write this review, sitting from my office in Houston, TX. On September 16th, 2024 I decided I was going to propose to my girlfriend in New York City. I already paid for the ring, the hotels, and the flights. The only thing I did not have in order was the photographer. I live in Houston, TX and only know a handful of people in New York. None of which, are photographers. I went online and Googled over a dozen photographers who specifically did "Engagement Photos". The special day was December 26th, the day after Christmas. Over a dozen photographers either told me that was too close to the holidays, or they did not have availability. One "critically acclaimed" New York Times photographer said yes; however, he was very vocal about booking through his online platform due to the high volume of requests, and asked me to communicate through his online platform. Given I am 1,636 miles from New York City, and wanted to "feel out" the photographer I was going to give my trust to for my special day, this was not ideal. In fact, it was a turn off. A few days later, another photographer got back with me, and told me he only specialized in wedding photos, but not engagement photos, and recommended JJ Ignotz. JJ and her Studio Manager Katherine McClintic responded to my inquiry the same day, within a couple of hours. There were over a dozen photographers that I asked to give me a call or email, and all were too busy to respond or get back with me in a timely manner, except for JJ and Katherine. Given I am so far away, that was the first positive sign that this could be a good path. I asked if the three of us could talk on the phone (to feel them out) and we did. As busy as they were, we spent over fourty-five minutes on the phone getting to know one another, and JJ and Katherine were very inquisitive in getting to understand my needs. Immediately, I knew this was a group that was ardent about their level of customer service. This is when I knew, I was going to hire them. One of my requests, was to fly to New York City to scout out (with JJ and the photographer, Olga) where I was going to propose. Without hesitation, they agreed to scout out some local spots in New York City with me. JJ, Katherine, and our photographer Olga didn't just treat this as an engagement/proposal, they treated it with the care that is identical to a wedding planner. To me, that is what you call exceptional service. They could have easily just set the date, taken the pictures, and be done; however, they didn't and exceeded my expectations. The quality of the engagement pictures were great. Everyone on the team had such a great attitude the entire time, and overall it was just an incredible experience. It is a testament of any business to stand out in this way, and they are exceptional at earning your trust.

  The BEST Wedding Photographer!!

  JJ is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to work with! We reached out to JJ when we were looking for wedding photographers and from the first conversation JJ knew exactly what we were imagining. She was an amazing partner in the planning process and throughout our wedding day! She is extremely upbeat, responsive, and accommodating and I felt extremely at ease with her throughout the entire engagement. Our photos turned out absolutely stunning; JJ is a true master at capturing great candid moments and we have been constantly looking at the photos reliving our day. I highly recommend JJ for wedding photography!!

  JJ is incredible!

  I can’t even begin to describe the amazing experience with JJ and her team. 10hours of non-stop photography yet she was so unobtrusive we hardly noticed. She captured every special moment and moments we didn’t even know were happening. She’s easy going, not overbearing for the bride, groom and their families, and she has an incredibly artistic eye.
  
  I hired her after being in a bridal party where she was the photographer. Both experiences left me with the same positive impressions.
  
  She’s worth every penny!

  Perfect from to start to finish!

  We can’t recommend JJ and her team enough. She truly captured every special moment of our day and we have so many amazing photos. Her team was so easy to work with, never in the way, yet somehow captured everything. Absolutely the kind of people you want around you leading up to your big moments. She also makes the delivery process SO easy. Everything was available for us to download and share with one-step. We can’t thank you enough!!

  JJ is amazing. Her fun, positive and outgoing attitude put my husband and I at such ease when we had our photo shoot, and the photographs were phenomenal!! We were so nervous before the shoot and JJ gave us direction and caught both mine and my husbands personalities on camera. We kept in contact through email and she was flexible with dates and times, never doubted her for a second that the photos wouldn't be anything short or fantastic! Thank you so much JJ, we had great fun (like you said we would!) and we wouldn't hesitate to book you again!!!

  My husband and I hired JJ to photograph our May 2017 wedding and we truly can't recommend her services enough. We were blown away when we received our photos--they are more beautiful than we ever could have imagined! JJ is a pleasure to be around and made everyone feel comfortable in front of her camera, which really came through in the pictures. So many of our guests commented on how cool and sweet our photographer was! JJ is very professional and always responded to me within 24 hours, which is a huge relief when you are trying to plan a wedding. She and her assistant showed up on time and got every shot we asked for and then some. If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to hire JJ, take it! If life brings us more happy occasions to celebrate, we will certainly be booking with her again.

  My husband and I were married on August 19, 2016 and JJ was our photographer. We fell in love with her when we met her and we knew she was going to have beautiful photos after she did our engagement shoot in June 2016. Brendan and I love her cool, relaxed and fun style, and she listens to everything you like and don't like about having a photo taken. JJ caught every emotion and expression in our photos, we love them so much we look at them practically everyday. We have stunning wedding photos, fun engagement photos and we will absolutely be in touch for future photograph opportunities. Thank you so very much JJ!!!!
