I cannot say enough good things about Jessi as a person or her work. Our photos are breathtaking, even better than we thought possible. She came from Indy to Ft. Wayne for the wedding, and even drove up a few weeks before to scout out the location. She is a wonderful and talented professional, an absolute artist, and we will always recommend her evey chance we get!

I couldn't be happier about my choice for Jessi as our wedding photographer. She worked with me so much before the wedding and I really felt, by the day, that she was a friend in all this. The pictures were glorious and she has probably gotten quite a few referrals from me, because when I show people the album she made they all say that it's some of the most amazing photography and the coolest book they have seen.

Jessi Jefferson is, quite frankly, amazing. If you want a bland, one-dimensional depiction of your event, perhaps you should look elsewhere. However, if you want to be forever in possession of images that make you feel things, experience things, and remember the moment with all of its warmth and depth, with all of its nuance and peculiarities, with a sort of artistic sentiment that is inborn and not taught, then she is the one. Jessi has taken all of my professional photographs for years, and I never cease to be moved and amazed by what she creates. A brilliant, caring woman with a head full of clever ideas and an eye toward the perfection of every detail. Don't miss an opportunity to work with her.

I love her work! The pictures were amazing and she had a really cool way of making sure she understood what we wanted. I refer her to everyone I know!

I am very, very particular about details and style and it took quite a bit of time for me to settle on or find a photographer. I honestly don't like "cutesy" photos of brides and grooms being goofy in a way that seems forced, or those pics of the bridal party jumping at the same time (what's that all about!?). I wanted something that looked as good and as dignified as I saw in magazines and online in the more upscale blogs and such. We found that with Jessi. She spent a good amount of time explaining her style and I could tell that she had a really defined style, which is what all the good planners said to keep an eye out for. I felt very relaxed that she knew what she was doing with her style and lighting and she definitely delivered on that.

I had visions in my mind for so long before the wedding about what perfect images would be, and she just blew me away when i got my proofs, because they were waaaaaay better than my imagination of perfect pictures for my personality and day would be.

My whole family loved her while she was working and she even got my rambuctious (a little tipsy, to be honest) groomsmen to look dignified and cool in the photos. I was so worried about them ruining my pics, but she was definitely my advocate and I could tell she wasn't going to let anyone stand in the way of the pics I wanted so badly. And the cool thing was, she was nice and funny about it all. She turned them into team players!

I also really appreciated the fact that she really did get to know me before the wedding and would check in on me to see how I was. She said she would we get to know me so she could understand my style and did with fun questions and little chats about what appealed to me. It kind of reminded me of having an interior designer or something. LOL

Her service was in good time, but I would say that you should expect to give her time for the awesome editing she does. It's worth waiting a couple of extra weeks for the final edits, because once I saw my finished album I busrt into tears. It's still one of my most prized possessions and always will be.

And to top it off... she still keeps in contact with me every few months just to say hi. That means a lot :)

I hired Jessi for our wedding in October. She came and met with us for our engagement photos which turned out beautiful. However, as the wedding date drew closer Jessi seemed to lose interest in organizing everything.
Part of her package included an outlined plan of the time she would arrive on the day and the photos she would take, I never received this. As our wedding was 2 hours out of Indianapolis, I appreciated that she was willing to come the distance for us. She said she would stay overnight the night before the wedding so she could check out the venue and collect ideas. I prepared an outline for Jessi of the kinds of shots we liked, however she was an hour late arriving for our pre-wedding shots, because she had chosen to drive down from Indy that day.
She was then scheduled to take photos of the groom getting ready, but spent an hour waiting in the hotel lobby as she complained she couldn't get hold of the groom. Who I could see was ready and waiting in the hotel lobby bar with the rest of the bridal party, just around the corner from where Jessi was, all she had to do was look.

Although these were issues that were a irritating, I wasn't too concerned because Jessi did a great job throughout the wedding ceremony and reception staying till late to capture the shots.
After the wedding Jessi said she would have the unedited shots loaded to her site within a week so I could pick them. I waited 3 weeks and there were no photos loaded to her site, so I contacted her asking what happened. She said she would load them up and to check back in a week. I checked in a week and saw only part of the ceremony loaded, so I contacted her again asking what happened to the rest and she said she would load them all that day.
I waited again, by this time it was Thanksgiving (a month after our wedding) and only 3/4 of the shots were loaded to her site, so I emailed and called her again asking what happened to the rest. At this point Jessi was becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of.
I then contacted Jessi 3 times over email and left her 4 voicemails asking if she could please load up all the photos so we could pick them and have edited images for family Christmas gifts and also our thank you cards. She finally responded after I resorted to posting on her facebook page asking her to contact me. She emailed apologizing for being 'laggy' and would have the photos ready before Christmas.

A week before Xmas I had still not viewed the entire unedited images of our wedding 2 months earlier. I emailed and called again and she suggested that my internet connection wasn't working correctly, even though I had checked her site from my work computer, my home computer and my husbands. So I asked her to mail the unedited pictures on a disc so I can view and pick out the 100 offered in my prepaid wedding package, she agreed.
Three weeks after Christmas I had still not received the discs of unedited images from Jessi. I contacted her several times during this period and never heard back, although most irritatingly I noticed she kept her Facebook page up to date with edited images of her family and friends. Eventually I emailed and called threatening legal action if she wasn't prepared to fulfill her contractual agreement. Then after another month of bitter emails, she finally sent the unedited discs of photos to select.
In March, (5 months after our wedding,) we received a disc of edited photos and our 100 printed photos. However one more issue, the disc had about 10 corrupted images on it, so I asked Jessi to send a new disc. I am still waiting on this disc, 7 months after our wedding date.

Due to these issues I would not recommend Jessi Jefferson photography to anyone. She takes great photos, but unless you are prepared to wait at least 6 months for your wedding day pictures and be frustrated with a lot of back and forth emailing and calling, it is not worth it.

If you want someone to be late to your wedding and never give you your wedding photos then hire her. Its been 2 years since my wedding and I still don't have a single photo. I was supposed to pay her $500 for the pictures and paid her half up front. Then when she was late to my wedding (she was supposed to be there an hour and half early to take pics and set up) she said she would wave the other $250 for her screw up. But then when I was asking her about the pics she said they were in the mail, but then retracted that when I never received the pics and said I needed to give her more time to do them. Its been almost 2 years since I got married so apparantly she needs a LOT of time.

Hiring Jessi was the biggest mistake I ever made. When we met her we explained that we were hiring a professional/paying more for a photographer because it was really important that we get good pictures. She seemed very sweet when we met her & gave us a copy of the contract to sign & send to her if we decided to go with her. We did, I signed the contract & sent her an email requesting that she send us a signed copy as well. That was Oct/Nov 2010. I didn't get the contract until Feb 2011 after emailing her multiple times. We emailed/called her about our engagement session. No response. I left comments on her Facebook page. They were deleted. Finally I emailed her & told her if she didn't respond I was going to find somebody else. This was TWO weeks before my wedding. She quickly replied claiming she'd been sick. She showed up at the wedding, took pictures, got 300-400 put up on her website for us to go through to request edits and prints. Her system for this was SO SLOW. It took us until Nov. because it would take us a couple of hours to get through 20-30 pictures. (6 months later and she still hadn’t posted the rest of the pictures.) More emails, more phone calls, no responses. She FINALLY mailed us a disc with all of the pictures in May/June of 2012. A year later. All of this could have been forgiven if the pictures had been good but by the time we got through the discs, I was in tears. I have never seen such awful work. Every amateur mistake was made. And this is not a matter of artistic differences. Every single person we have shown her work to has been absolutely horrified, including professional photographers. We emailed her and expressed our dismay and she responded that she was proud of her work and saw nothing wrong with what she had done. She refused to refund any part of the $2100 we paid her! She made NO effort to fix anything. In my opinion, Jessi Jefferson Webb has no business calling herself a professional photographer.
