Down to earth - and down right AWESOME

We worked with Jenny for a 10 hour day, and she made us so comfortable from beginning to end. Photographing two brides, was no easy task, especially for the getting ready/first look and bouncing back and forth between hotel rooms, but Jenny was organized and knew the shots she needed. She even stood her ground to make sure we got a fantastic first look spot when there were other competing photographers and other weddings onsite. Above and beyond! Overall, Jenny is super down to earth and we were really happy with the quality moments she captured during our special day. Stop looking, book her now!

Beautiful photos from an extremely talented photographer

Jenny is hands down the best photographer we’ve ever worked with. My husband and I don’t know what to do when our photos are being taken but Jenny coached us through the process and the results were stunning. The way she captured the emotion and the lighting was nothing short of amazing. She seriously has a gift! I highly recommend using her for your wedding but we used her for a maternity shoot and I am so glad she was able to capture these images. She has a way to capture the love between you and your partner (and also for us our baby on the way) that exceeded all expectations!

The best experience

Jenny is super talented and professional however; she makes you feel so comfortable during shoots. I am so incredibly lucky to have found her for our engagement and wedding photos. She captured every moment and detail. Even after having to change my venue to a completely different city she was able to accommodate me with no issues. I would 100% recommend her. Look no further!!

Wow, where do I start with this amazing woman? After seeing Jenny’s work and reviews online, we knew we had to have her for our wedding. She is so easy to talk to, getting back to us right away and making the planning process easy. She did our engagement shoot for us and it was honestly like working with a friend. Jenny has a great personality and was able to laugh along with my husband and I’s silliness and fun during our shoot. Our engagement photos were breathtaking, a work of art, and we highly anticipated meeting with her again for our wedding. We checked in with Jenny throughout the time before our wedding, and she made sure she knew everything we wanted for our wedding day.

When Jenny arrived the day of the wedding, it was again like seeing an old friend. She is so personable, which just makes the experience so much better. She was patient with us, and got every shot we wanted and more! Jenny is a master at her work, if there was ever a moment that a certain shot that I wanted came to my mind, Jenny was already ten steps ahead of me arranging it. My husband and I enjoyed Jenny so much and felt so lucky to have found such an amazing photographer and person. We have gotten a sneak peak of our wedding photos, and are sitting at the edge of our chair waiting for the beautiful creation Jenny will send us.

Very flexible!

Jenny is a very talented photographer and we are very happy we found her for our August wedding. She not only did our wedding pictures, but our engagement shoot as well. She gave us competitive pricing options and was super sweet for both events. She and Mary Beth were easy to work with - and even rolled with it when one of our guests (an amateur photographer) went rogue and decided to photograph the wedding himself. No kidding- Jenny was very accommodating when she removed him from the ceremony pictures after he found it appropriate to stand on the altar while we exchanged vows (yes, I'm rolling my eyes too). Things happen that you don't plan on your big day and when you have quality vendors like Jenny - somehow they don't even matter. I highly recommend Jenny and her team.

There is no way to perfectly articulate how incredibly talented Jenny is. She has a unique way of capturing real moments, effortlessly. Sometimes, you don't even notice she is there. I have been in many weddings, and had even been a bride once before the days of Jenny Castro. I know firsthand, the stress and regret of not booking the right photographer. I cannot stress enough, booking the right photographer needs to be at the top of your priority list. When you decide to work with Jenny, trust that she is going to capture EVERY special moment. She is easy to work with, genuine, and honestly loves what she does. It certainly shows in her work. Do not make the mistake of looking elsewhere, you will not find a greater talent or person to work with. My husband has never been impressed by pictures until reviewing those taken by Jenny, I am so happy to have become acquainted with her!

My then fiancé and I found Jenny through my friend from work. Jenny had done her wedding a couple years along and she highly recommended her. After meeting with Jenny and seeing her portfolio of other weddings we knew she had to be our photographer. We were blown away by her work and her ability to capture such stunning and breathtaking photos.

From the moment we met Jenny, she was nothing but awesome. She is a pleasure to work with and very professional. She made us feel comfortable which was extremely important to us. It felt more of a friendship working together then a business.

Our wedding photos are nothing short of what we imagined-they are beautiful! Everyone we have shared them with are in awe of them and the compliments are endless. Jenny is simply amazing. We’d had our eyes on her work for quite sometime, so it was an easy decision to make once the time came to book a photographer. Working with Jenny was one of the best and easiest decisions we made for our wedding. I spoke to a lot of photographers before the big day, but there was just something different about Jenny. I knew right away that we would get along great and that she would be the best fit for us. Jenny's work is beautiful. Our engagement photos and wedding photos blew us away and we couldn't be happier. The day of your wedding, at times you won't even know that she is there. Yet, she is quietly in the background capturing all of the special "not posed" moments that you want to remember.

I'm one of those "Type A" people who plans things. I check and double check that I have everything together…. When I started looking for a photographer I spent hours trolling the internet and looking at pictures, when I came across Jenny I was done looking I had found my photographer. What makes the difference between a good photographer and a GREAT photographer are the little moments, the pictures that capture the liveliness and personality of the couple or family. It wasn’t just the wedding photos that got me, it was the family photos, the engagement shoots, etc.. She has a way of capturing the pure joy of mothers, wives, husbands, and children. The only thing I wanted on my wedding day was snow. Can you believe that it snowed 2-3 Inches on my wedding day!!!! Jenny was not only “a good sport” with having a snowy shoot, she was ESTATIC! This was her element. She helped my bridal party have fun in the snow, got our shots done quickly, and then stayed out in the freezing cold snow so that we could climb the snowy golf mounds for some incredible pictures! One more side note “bride to bride, or bride to grooms” – It’s so important for your photographer and your videographer (and all vendors) to work well together. The Videographer we had often works with Jenny and they work so well together, they understand the art of capturing a moment and not getting in each other’s way. I found Jenny through a mutual friend that had used her services for engagement photos. Her work blew my then fianceé and I away, and we HAD to have her. From our first meeting, to our engagement photos, and through our wedding day, Jenny was nothing short of a consummate professional. In fact, her kindness and friendliness made her feel more like a close friend or family member.

Jenny was so responsive to texts/emails that neither my wife nor I ever felt a shred of worry or doubt. Jenny even went out of her way to make my mother-in-law feel at ease on her daughter's wedding day. To top it all off, our photos look stunning and capture the best moments of our best day ever.

I'm sure this gets thrown around a lot, but we truly believe she's the best photographer, and one of the best people, in this area. We love you, Jenny!

Couldn't say enough good things about Jenny Castro! I fell in love with her work and immediately knew that I would use her when I got married. I will admit that getting my photo taken makes me super uncomfortable, but Jenny and her assistant made it as painless as possible and five minutes into the wedding I had completely forgotten that they were even there. Jenny was fantastic and super easy to work with! Her pics were so creative and not your ordinary, everyday wedding pics you tend to see in an album. She used creative angles, unique lighting and best of all we hardly knew she was even there as she blended into the ceremony and reception and was able to capture amazing shots that truly reflected the spirit and tone of the evening. Jenny is absolutely AMAZING. Stop looking for a photographer and hire her! I cannot say enough great things about Jenny and her work. First off, she was flexible with meeting with us upfront and helped ensure that our photography package (including the albums included and prints) met exactly what we were looking for. Next were the engagement photos-she helped us pick a perfect location. She was then even willing to drive out of her way to a second location, just so she could capture perfect photos right where my husband proposed. She didn’t have to do this, but she insisted-wanted to make sure we had photos we loved, and that meant something to us. Then came prepping for the big day-she has continually been responsive throughout the wedding planning, and even post-wedding, process. She met with me a couple weeks before the wedding to go over logistics, some poses/photo ops I wanted to get and just in general ease my nerves about the whole thing. Day of the wedding-she was diligent, flexible, supportive, and just overall fantastic. I was extremely nervous ahead of the wedding and had a bit of a breakdown. She somehow was still able to capture the joy and excitement of the getting ready process. Then throughout the wedding day, she just blended in. Looking back through the photos, there are moments that I didn’t even know she was around for, but she magically was able to capture them perfectly! It is clear from working with Jenny that she is passionate about what she does. You cannot go wrong with a photographer who cares just as much as you do that your photos are absolutely perfect. I’m beyond happy that we hired Jenny to capture our wedding day. We did not hire a videographer so I was depending on the photos to truly capture the memories, and she blew our expectations out of the water. They are fantastic, absolutely gorgeous photos and I cannot wait to put our albums together!! So if you haven’t figured it out by now… Jenny is incredible.

Jenny is every couple's wedding photography dream! She is sweet, professional, polite, and talented. We hired Jenny on the recommendation of a high school friend after our first photographer fell through, so needless to say I had some photography anxiety at that point. Jenny immediately put me at ease and was so helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process. Even after my timeline changed for the tenth time, Jenny was flexible and easy going. She arrived on our wedding day and blended into the bridal suite like an old friend, carefully snapping intimate and joyful moments without being intrusive in the slightest. She directed our large bridal party with ease and stayed until the very end of our reception to capture our sparkler send-off, even though we were running a bit late. One of my bridesmaids has already booked Jenny for her wedding in January and I am so excited! I will continue raving about her until each and every single one of my friends is married! Finding a great photographer has to be one of the most important priorities when planning a wedding. Your photos are the only true memories you will be able to revisit for a lifetime of the best day of your life. Jenny Castro captured moments of our wedding in a way I never could have imagined. I look through my pictures and it feels like I am looking through professional pictures taken for a wedding magazine - the quality is that beautiful and amazing. Simply amazing!!! Jenny had photographed my friends wedding and I loved her work. I contacted her through email (I was an out-of-state bride) and she was always very prompt with her responses. Jenny was extremely organized and flexible when dealing with our contract and scheduling. The day of the wedding both Jenny and her second photographer, MaryBeth, showed up on time. All day they were helpful, laid back, cheerful and calmly directed our bridal party in order to get the best shots. Jenny was very accommodating and made sure to take all the pictures I had requested. She snapped away all night long and was able to capture the most amazing moments. I couldn't be happier with my choice, the pictures are absolutely beautiful and she is so awesome to work with. I haven't had my wedding yet but have booked Jenny for my wedding and she recently shot my engagement photo shoot. Firstly, I expected to receive my pictures in 2 weeks and got them in just over a week and even had a sneak peak the day after our shoot! My search for a photographer was completely daunting. I initially had no idea how much it would cost for photography and once I started to see what you get for your money, we had to make some adjustments. Through my research I realized the the value of quality and it can really show through a photographer's work. Photography was so important to us and we realized it was worth the investment to go with someone who exuded not only quality but also captured candid moments that could be framed. After months of research, Jenny's advertisement came across my wedding wire page. It was almost our last attempt at our search. We met with Jenny and instantly fell in love. She is so laid back and flexible. We signed the contract the next day. Jenny was so easy to work with. She has a true natural talent and an eye for the most memorable moments ever. Our wedding party loved her!

Our pictures were beyond our imagination and wildest dreams. They are absolutely beautiful and stunning. The special moments that were captured. Every picture taken can be used in a frame. And that's exactly what I was looking for. Just everything. It makes it easy to remember our day and brings back those same exact emotions that occurred while those moments were happening.

I honestly think that everyone should just use Jenny for their photography. You certainly won't be disappointed. I would love for her to photograph every special moment in our lives going forward. She's THAT good. As you search for photographers, pay attention to the true talent. Many try to overcompensate for special effects while lacking in their ability to capture how the day truly feels. Jenny accomplished that and so much more. I'm so thankful that we chose her for our photographers. It was one of the best decisions we made!

Jenny was the best thing about my wedding, other than my husband, of course. Her incredible talent is exceeded only by her hard work. With Jenny, you don't have someone constantly in your face or ordering you around for pictures. However, she somehow manages to capture every intimate moment, without you even realizing she's there. I gave her a list of photos I wanted from the wedding and she got them all, but she also captured the amazing candid shots that you just can't plan for. I have no idea how she can manage to be so laid back and relaxed when shooting, yet still get every shot you'd ever want. In short, she's magic. Jenny also happens to be the sweetest person in the world - it is easy to feel like you've known her for years. She also is extremely responsive to e-mails, Facebook messages, etc.

My husband and I are forever grateful to Jenny for providing us with memories that we can relive over and over again. We have gotten endless complements on our photos. I could never thank her enough, so I basically rave about her to everyone I see. Choosing Jenny for your engagement and wedding photos will be the best decision you make - I promise.

I can't express in words how amazing Jenny is as a photographer and person. She's professional but warm and funny. She's a person, not just a business. We were so awkward at our engagement session. I was so worried that we screwed them up. Have no fear, they were AMAZING! She definitely worked her magic. And come the wedding day, she was on time and soothing. When I got a little nervous, she just whispered a few words to calm me down. She focused on me getting ready and let me know that she was there for me, nobody else. And she likes fun and love. If you want engagement/wedding photos to swoon over, and want to capture those special moments with the love of your life in a spectacular way... Jenny Castro is your girl.
My husband and I met with three photographers before we met with Jenny. They all seemed to be into nothing more than getting paid and didn't bother wanting to know anything about us. As an artist, I wanted a photographer who was journalistic and creative. We didn't want our wedding pictures to look posed, we wanted them to be real, natural, and to show who we are as a couple. We sat down with her and discussed our wedding, our ideas, what we liked/didn't like, day-of schedules, and she showed us her portfolio. We knew right after the meeting we wanted her as our wedding photographer.
Jenny not only responded to all of my emails right away, but she answered all of my many questions and was super helpful. She took our engagement photos one year before our wedding at Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton Township, NJ, and we were blown away by the pictures she took. As a quiet and laid back couple, we felt a little funny at first during the shoot, but she made us feel super comfortable and we were able to let loose and have fun.
When the wedding finally arrived, she was on time and very professional. Jenny photographed the girls getting ready, and her husband (our second photographer - who was equally awesome) photographed the boys. From the time we started getting ready, to the ceremony and portraits, and through the all the dancing and celebrating, they were able to capture beautiful, loving, funny, and artistic shots. They were there for all the major photo ops and got some photos we requested (groups shot of our guests, sparklers shots, dancing photos, etc.). There is not one negative thing I can say about Jenny. My husband and I would love to work with her again in the future, and I've been recommending her to all my family/friends in need of a photographer. Seriously... hire her! :)

Amazing. Incredible. Talented. Perfection.

Words can't even begin to describe how incredibly talented Jenny is (words might fail me - she is that good!) not to mention she is an absolute DREAM to work with! My husband and I had been looking for a photographer that could capture our love through photographs- we didn't want anything that looked posed or cheesy. We wanted to look at our pictures from our engagement session and our wedding and just smile because it was a true representation of us and our relationship. Jenny did just that and more! She gave us guidance - finding natural light, a nice backdrop or suggesting we just talk, flirt or kiss and everything came naturally. I have photos where we are truly laughing and Jenny captured that! Looking at them make me smile every single time, without fail. Jenny listened to everything - I created a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered and incorporated them into our photography but with her own twists and you know what? THEY'RE EVEN BETTER THAN I HOPED. I could not have asked for a better photographer - she made me feel comfortable, like I was with a friend. If you are looking for someone that will give you art that you will want to hang in your home and pass on to your family - Jenny is the one for you! For the brides that want a one sentence summary of what my feelings on Jenny Castro’s Photography I will say this: You will not regret using her services.
I am the first of my close friends to get married so I felt very clueless when deciding on a photographer. I had looked through portfolios of photographers online and felt like there were limited choices on just dealing with an independent photographer (I didn't want to deal with a photography business and then be outsourced to a photographer).
Jenny made choosing a photographer a no brainer. A friend had told me about this beautiful wedding picture she had seen the week before on Facebook, I immediately looked through Jenny’s pictures, they are breath taking. I emailed Jenny and she responded back to me within 24 hours, every time I contacted Jenny, she emailed me practically instantly.
Jenny was extremely flexible, we had setup a date for an engagement shoot, however, I asked Jenny if she would mind rescheduling and using our new house as part of our engagement shoot. She was completely understanding and loved the idea. Jenny showed up to all shoots on time and brought a positive attitude to the atmosphere. The day of the wedding (even if you plan out every second) is chaotic. Jenny is cool under pressure and gets the job done.
As far as quality of service and value are concerned her pictures speak for themselves. I wanted to be a smart bride so I did my homework and inquired about other photographer’s rates and ultimately based on Jenny’s work and packages given, I feel like her pricing is on point and fair.
I really don’t have enough words to explain how happy I am that I asked Jenny to be a part of our special day. I look through my wedding photos and literally well up with tears. Weddings are expensive, what better way to remember the beauty of your wedding day than through pictures? Don’t wait, email her now and book your special day with her too. I promise you, you will not regret the decision.

Jenny Castro is an amazing photographer and a wonderful person to work with. She worked with my husband and I to customize a package that best suited our needs/wants. She is very flexible, professional, and friendly. My husband and I first worked with her during our engagement photo shoot and while we were both very nervous about having our pictures taken, Jenny made us feel so comfortable that by the end of the day we felt we were saying goodbye to a friend. She was also willing to travel around with us to get some great shots at a few different locations in Philadelphia. On our wedding day, Jenny captured so many beautiful pictures and moments that mean so much to my husband and I and all of the pictures really showcase the overwhelming emotion we felt that day. I literally cannot stop looking through all of our photos and it is so hard to decide which one is my favorite. Jenny is amazingly talented and I highly recommend her to any bride in search of a photographer.

Jenny is absolutely amazing!!! The first time we met her was for our engagement photos and she was so comfortable to be around and put us both at ease. We couldn't believe how much we liked the photos from that shoot! I still can't narrow down my favorites! As most women are, I am very critical of myself in photos and I can confidently say that Jenny makes me look good! It poured rain all day on our wedding day, knowing how great of a photographer Jenny is, it put my mind at ease because I knew that rain or shine, I'd love our wedding photos. Just a few short weeks later, we got our photos back and they are truly awesome! There are so many amazing moments that Jenny captured. There are the perfect amount of the pictures my mom loves, where we're both looking at the camera, as well as the pictures that only Jenny could capture with her creative and artistic talents! Our wedding day truly was the best day of my life, and I'm so thankful that we booked Jenny as our photographer because I literally look at our photos every day and relive the day over and over again :) When the day comes that we have children, I'll be going to Jenny to get our family photos done as well! I couldn't imagine working with anyone else!

Jenny Castro is just amazing. She turned our wedding photos into art. It is true what they say, your wedding day blurs by so fast you don't even know what happened. We were so stressed out and dealing with typical family drama that I was sure I forgot to smile half the day. But you do not even see the smallest hint of that in Jenny's photos, she captured the love that I was so afraid would be hidden by the stress. She's very talented, but she is also extremely sweet. Responded right away to all of my emails, and was more than happy to give her opinion on non photo related wedding questions I asked. We plan to call her for all of our future photo needs, and would highly recommend her. Also, her package prices are very reasonable...we live in center city and some of the photographers we researched around here were unnecessarily expensive.

Photography is not something everyone can do. When looking for a photographer for our wedding my husband mentioned Jenny. We sat down to look at her work and immediately I fell in love. When we first worked with her it was for our engagement photos - in a place she's never shot before she saw so many opportunities- you could tell she loves her work. Jenny is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable even though she is scoping you out through a lens. We love all our photos Jenny has done for us so far- and we can wait to do more sessions with her. She just captures that moment and never disappoints.

Once I saw Jenny's photos I was hooked on having her as our photographer. She worked with us on coming up with a package that fulfilled all of our needs and didn't go over our budget. We knew that we had made the right choice as soon as we saw how wonderful our engagement session pictures came out. On the day of I was a little upset with the weather. It was pouring. Jenny made the most out of the situation and positioned us in front of a puddle that reflected us and made for some of my favorite out of the many beautiful photos we received. Jenny has a real gift for capturing candid photos that bring you right back to the day and the emotions upon looking at them. We will cherish these photos for years to come.

I had been following Jenny's work on Facebook ever since she photographed a friend's wedding almost 2 years before mine. When I first asked Jenny about her availability for our big day, she said yes!! But, my groom and I wanted to have a modest wedding and the price was just too much at the time. I arranged for another photographer. Then, when 2013 became 2014, 6 months before our big day, Jenny put up a blog: "My year in review". Well, that was it. I HAD to have her capture our day!! I emailed Jenny, hopeful that she wasn't booked, and thankfully she wasn't! I spent only slightly more than planned because Jenny built a package that worked for our budget. I didn't need all the frills of parents books, etc so she made it work. I was tickled!!! Jenny was great with returning emails and addressed all my questions along the way. We met at Starbucks a couple weeks prior to the wedding. She listened to what I wanted and took a few notes. But believe me, I didn't need some crazy list of suggested photos because Jenny's portfolio already proved to me she had this thing under control!

One of the best things about the wedding (besides the fact that she was on time, dressed well, nice to my family, etc) was that I don't ever remember seeing her at the ceremony! She got every picture, every angle, up close, far back, and never once do I remember her being there. She really knows how to let the bride and groom have their moment. (I have attended weddings with pushy photographers ... awful) After the ceremony she checked in with us from time to time to make sure we got photos with the people we most wanted to, the moments we needed her around. She was overall just great!!

Our wedding was on the beach and this insane fog decided to roll in. Jenny still got amazing photos! My groom and I went back down the shore to meet Jenny a few weeks after to get the beautiful sunset photos we'd originally planned for. I'm so grateful now for going with Jenny. She's the best!!

If I had to pick one word to describe Jenny Castro and her work, it would be perfection.

From the moment I saw her work I fell completely in love. No one I have ever seen captures the beauty and elegance of a moment the way that she does. Her ability to utilize light embraces you in each moment and literally takes your breath away. You instantly feel a connection, a warmth, a beautiful memory. Every single photo she takes is flawless.

When my husband proposed to me, I emailed her the next morning. Having her capture one of the most important days of my life was a priority. We picked the date of our wedding based off of her availability. That's how amazing and special she is. Her talent is out of this world.

From our engagement session to the day of our wedding, Jenny has been without doubt the sweetest and most attentive professional that we hired. When she arrived at the hotel the morning of our wedding I felt like I could finally breathe and relax. She took all of my stress away and she continued to give me compliments which made me feel exceptional. The way every bride should feel on her wedding day. Her attention to detail, and the love she put into capturing our day is what makes Jenny Castro the best at what she does. She gives you just the right amount of direction when you are posing, and makes you feel completely comfortable. I kept catching her smiling out of the corner of my eye. When a person truly loves what they do, that kind of positive energy inspires you and sets the tone of the day. She was great with my family, and by the end of the day, everyone had fallen in love with her too.

My wedding photos make me tear up every single time I look at them. They are timeless. It's as if I'm there, reliving the day all over again. My husband and I are forever grateful for having Jenny as our photographer. Choose Jenny. It will be the best decision that you make.

There aren't enough words to explain how wonderful Jenny was!

From our engagement photos to our wedding photos she made my husband and I feel really comfortable and was always willing to listen to any suggestions we had as well as put her own unique eye to everything. We had a blast doing a bunch of different things for our engagement photos, and on our wedding day we left the night worried we may not have taken enough pictures (I don't think you ever feel like you have enough) but when all the pictures came back she had so many beautiful/romantic and candid shots that we did not even know were coming our way.. (she's a quiet ninja like that). The 2nd photographer that came to the wedding with Jenny was equally as awesome, and the both are very talented. She is worth getting to know not only as a photographer but a person as well. highly recommended :D

Don't know where to start. From beginning to end Jenny was unbelievably perfect! Our first meeting with her we knew we made the right choice. Just looking at her photographs from prior events was jaw dropping. If you want the perfect photos for your big day then look no further. When you are planning a wedding you not only want everything to be perfect , you want it captured in the light you dreamed it was painted ... Jenny is absolutely amazing. She did both our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I never had professional photos done before our engagement session, so we were a little nervous. Jenny made us feel so comfortable and offered suggestions, while allowing us to do our own thing and capture moments that we never thought of. She was very flexible and patient, and really seemed to enjoy what she was doing! She would not settle until she found a good ring shot, which I really appreciated.

On the wedding day, Jenny was so fun and great with my family and guests. She made me feel like a bride and captured everything that you don't think about at the time (shoes, bouquet, groomsmen, etc.). I LOVED how our photos came out and I'm already planning a time to have her take photos of us with our new dog. We couldn't be happier with Jenny's work and I HIGHLY recommend her. Jenny is passionate, professional, and a true artist! She has the ability to capture moments and emotions in her photos with finesse. Communication with Jenny was a breeze from the start. Jenny is our photographer from our engagement session, (my secret boudoir session) and our wedding and she will continue to be our photographer for all of our life events! The photography was such an important aspect of our wedding-as we put all of our time and hard work to make our wedding the best day of our life we wanted these moments captured to have and share for a lifetime. We had hired another photographer then Jenny came with such a strong recommendation from a friend that we decided to switch and hire her instead and WOW are we glad that we did!!! She helped position us, helped us to not feel awkward (since we've never had pro pics before this), took pictures from interesting angles and lighting that we could have never of noticed. We are so impressed with every picture.

Jenny is professional, sweet, timely, easy to work with and a true artist which shows in her finished products. Friends were so impressed with our pictures they hired her for their wedding as well. If you're reading this review because you're debating whether or not to hire her, just do it, you will NOT regret it! We are SOO happy we had her and her assistant Mary Beth, they were great. So many compliments from friends and family, wow the photographer is getting everything! When planning my wedding I determined that the most important aspect was photography. I started researching and stumbled upon Jenny's webpage. After looking at just a small sample of her photos I knew she was the one. Jenny was super responsive with all my emails and was open to all of my ideas from the get-go. Our e-session was in Cape May a year before the wedding and she had taken so many amazing photos is was hard to pick one for the Save the Date. As for our wedding day, Jenny and her assistant were prompt and Jenny made sure to look at my pinterest board before hand! She really was able to capture not only beautiful pictures of our day but emotions as well. Finding the right photographer was something I spent a great deal of time on. I researched endlessly-- (to the point where my husband couldn't stand it any more!) When I found Jenny Castro's blog of recent weddings, I kept coming back to her photos. We finally met in person and we found Jenny to be easy-going, professional, and flexible to meet our needs. She was a great communicator and very responsive to any of our questions leading up to the wedding. On the day of, Jenny did not miss out on documenting a single moment, yet her style was incredibly subtle and unobtrusive. Jenny had a few sneak-peek photos for us right away, and the turnaround time on our full gallery was fast, too! When we shared the photos from Jenny's blog with our family and friends, we received instant feedback about how impressive the photography was. My only complaint is how hard it's going to be to choose the ones we would like to use for our album :) Jenny truly exceeded my expectations for wedding photography. I wanted our day to be documented-- authentically, and artistically-- not directed and posed for. You simply cannot put a price on those quiet moments Jenny was able to capture on film for us to cherish for the rest of our lives. I have already recommended Jenny Castro Photography to a friend, and would do the same for anyone else looking for wedding photos that are artistic, emotional, and detail-oriented. I would be honored to use Jenny as a photographer again in the future.

Jenny photographed my wedding and did an incredible job. The photos are beautiful and really captured the day. I was regretting saving money by not getting a videographer, but after seeing all of the photos she took, I really didn't need one b/c she really captured all the aspects of each part of the day. Not only is her work great, but she was great to work with. Both her and her partner were a lot of fun and made me and all my guests right at ease. They even took the time to pay special attention to my 7 year old son who insisted on getting in our photo booth with them. definitely went above and beyond their job duties. She even helped picked the perfect spot for us and our bridal party to have our photos taken since I really was clueless where to go. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the photos she has taken to save the memories of our special day will be cherished always.

Jenny captured every beautiful moment of our perfect day. Our first shoot was the boudoir pics that I gave to my husband as a wedding gift. Jenny was so easy to work with, made me feel completely comfortable, and took the most flattering and gorgeous shots. Prior to our wedding day, Jenny presented me with the idea of doing a "First Look" photo session and at first I was very skeptical, but after talking with her and reading some articles we decided to go for it. I would totally say this is a MUST for every bride!!! I'm so grateful Jenny thought of it. Our wedding ceremony was shot beautifully and Jenny captured it in an artistic, photojournalistic way that did not feel forced. It was amazing. I would absolutely recommend Jenny Castro Photography to every bride!

Jen was a guest at my wedding last October. She took many professional pictures at my wedding and some of her photos are my favorite ones from that day. She also took pictures of my son for his 2nd birthday which were absolutely stunning. Jen's photographic eye is unique. Jenny is fantastic. Don't let her laid back demeanor fool you. Just when you think she might be relaxing, she's capturing the shot of a lifetime. We were floored with, not only the quality, but the quanity of beautiful pictures she took on our wedding day and in our engagement shoot. Photos to last a lifetime!

I found Jenny through Instagram. I had no idea where to begin looking for a wedding photographer until I started clicking on all of her photos without realizing they were by her. Once this happened, I knew I had found my photographer. Jenny’s style is timeless. She has a way of capturing moments and bringing them to life! The quality of her work is superior to most and she was great to work with. Our families can’t stop raving about her work either. Wedding photography can be very expensive, but you won’t be disappointed investing in Jenny! I would hire her again!

Jenny is great! Down to earth, fun, and flexible!

Jenny is AMAZING. She has such a natural eye and talent- we haven't even gotten our photos back yet (only a few teasers!) but already we are blown away. She was professional, fun, flexible, and totally "blended in" with our group the day of our wedding. She offered advice when asked, but wasn't pushy, and didn't make our photo taking experience feel forces or unnatural (as is often the case with wedding photogs.) Her assistant, who is also a photographer was great to work with as well. They worked seamlessly together. They also went with the flow and got shots I asked them to get both beforehand and in the moment. I have admired her work for a couple of years on facebook and instagram- it was a dream actually having her shoot my wedding. She is chill, down to earth, and unbelievably talented. I 100% would recommend Jenny to shoot any of your big events or special occasions!

Jenny really knows how to catch those perfect moments!! We really enjoyed working with her on both our engagement session and wedding day where she made us feel totally natural and just clicked away! Working with Jenny is a breeze! I originally found her through the Wedding Wire Vendor list and fell in love with her blog posts on the weddings she's done in the past. Every step of the process was easy, from figuring out a package that worked best for our budget, to the last photo of our wedding night, and we enjoyed every second of it. Jenny is really laid back and flexible, and that's just the type of photographer I wanted, since my husband and I are a very laid back and relaxed couple. For our engagement shoot she even came down to the University of Delaware and explored around with us even after rescheduling our shoot 3 times due to weather. Her talent and eye for creativity can be seen in each shot, and we are so happy to have hired her for our wedding. She gives just the right amount of direction if needed but also stays quiet and seems to almost vanish while documenting intimate moments like your First Look with your spouse, or your first kiss after the ceremony. On the day of our wedding Jenny and her second shooter Mary Beth (who is also totally awesome), showed up on time ready to go. They both take their role during your wedding very seriously and love what they do, and if you hire Jenny you will not be disappointed!

From the beginning to the end of our wedding day journey, I am so glad that we had Jenny Castro with us. She was so responsive and flexible to our preferences and was the consummate professional. She took an amazing engagement shoot (included in our package), and we used the photos to help decorate and personalize our cocktail hour space. Moreover, her wedding day pictures were amazing. (I recently got them and have been flipping back and forth between my wedding album on Facebook and those of other people, thinking how lucky we were to snag her...the difference is clear!) Jenny was a pleasure to work with. She has a fantastic creative vision. She blended in seamlessly and was so professional.

Our pictures were beautiful and touched up just enough. We also appreciated being given the digital copies to create our own album and print on demand.

If you're considering an engagement shoot, just go for it. We're so glad we did. It was a great splurge and we treasure those pictures.

There are no words to describe the amazing talent of Jenny as a photographer. She is seriously an amazing person & such a delight to work with. My husband & I were initially nervous in front of the camera at our engagement session, but Jenny put us right at ease. Our photos turned out phenomenal! On the day of the wedding, she did a great job of capturing the moment while not interfering with it. Wedding 05/20/2022

Let’s start by saying that Jenny is great at what she does, my wedding pictures turned out completely beautiful.. now when it came to the communication that’s where everything went wrong.. our wedding was on May 20, 2022 & we booked Jenny back in 2019 because we absolutely wanted her to do our wedding, we ended up picking the most expensive package which included our engagement pictures, wedding pictures, a USB, photo album & $150 dollars in pictures credit. At the beginning everything was great, after that everything was a mess I would text Jenny and she would never get back to, I literally had to text her multiple times just so she could get back to me, and emails forget about that.. we didn’t even get our engagement pictures because every time I texted her she would never get back to me.. the wedding day finally comes and everything when well, we wait 3 months to get our pictures and then I email & texted (9/19/2022) her to see how I can get my USB, album & my photo credits and I’m still waiting for my reply.. like I said her pictures are amazing, but her communication not so much ( and honestly I’m not sure it it was just towards us) but we paid so much money to be treated that way.

I was really excited to have Jenny as our photographer in September 2013, after looking at many photos on her website and blog I was quite impressed.

Jenny did a great job and we ere both overall very happy with how the photos came out. We wish we had received them a little sooner than we did and had more close-ups of us, but we would definitely recommend Jenny to our friends and family.

Unreliable

If you choose this vendor, do NOT pay her in full if she offers you the option with a discount. I had my wedding canceled and have been trying to get refunded the thousands of dollars I paid her in full. she took the money no problem, but then doesn’t respond.

Very disappointed !!!

I hired Jenny for my upcoming wedding in September and she canceled three months before the wedding!! I really can’t think of any good reason why this would occur except to accommodate their own schedule. Perhaps a vacation ?This was highly upsetting as most good photographers are already booked into the next year and now I’m left scrambling to find one for my big day!! In addition, my fiancé asked for a contract more than once prior to this occurrence and she never sent one. Also she was a bit sketchy about giving her phone number in the beginning and once we set up our initial engagement shoot she had to cancel and reschedule! It’s ashame because her photos are nice however this lack of uprofessionalism and unreliability are not worth the headache and stress!!!
