Jen is a gem.

I highly recommend Jen Hodge for wedding or special occasion makeup! I worked with her as a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding and was so impressed that she was one of the first vendors i reached out to when planning my own wedding many years later. She’s professional, efficient, super friendly, and best of all just SO GOOD at what she does. She does a great job of making you look glamorous and extra beautiful, while still making you feel like yourself. Airbrushed makeup can look and feel very heavy and caked on if not done well, and she apply it flawlessly— it felt comfortable and photographed really well.

Jen did makeup for a variety of ages and styles in my wedding party and customized looks for each person perfectly- I’ve never seen my friends and family look more gorgeous. Thank you Jen!!!

I would highly recommend airbrush makeup for your wedding day!

I was so happy with the way the airbrush came out for my wedding (9/6/19)! It was so natural looking, yet stayed in place all day (even with rain)! Several people complimented the way it came out for myself, the bridesmaids and mother of the bride. Jen Hodge is a great makeup artist and was very professional throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend future brides to work with Spectrum Makeup!

Jen is the BEST!

Jen is a dream. Book her. I'm an actress who works in LA and she's way better than the majority of makeup artists I've worked with out here. Her airbrushing smoothes any issues and I've never seen someone secure individual eyelashes as quickly and proficiently as Jen. She's calm and can follow any direction you give her. You'll look like you - only better! When I asked for makeup artist recommendations, my cousin who's a hair stylist and my wedding planner both separately recommended Jen and now I know why! She's the BEST!

Jennifer did amazing work! Highly recommend airbrush make-up!

Jennifer was amazing. She was flexible with scheduling, both for the day of my wedding and for my trial, especially since I am not local. She did an amazing airbrush make up for both my mom and I! It looked natural but also enhanced my natural features. I never wear make-up so I did not want to overdue it and Jennifer’s airbrush captured exactly what I wanted. Can’t thank her enough!

Airbrush perfection!

In looking for an amazing make up artist for my wedding day, Jen came highly referred to me by a photographer I spoke with as she relayed she was one of the best artists she's worked with. WOW, she wasn't kidding!! Jen's work is incredible and her airbrush makeup is FLAWLESS. It lasted the entire day without blemish through the sweat, tears, etc). It's absolutely the way to go on your wedding day or any special event given it's so long lasting and you hardly feel like you're wearing make up. It makes your photos pop as well! Aside from Jen's work, she is equally incredible to work with throughout the entire process. She listens to your vision (I had a very natural look) and knows exactly how to accentuate her clients' best features. She also did my Mom and Mother in Law's make up (both are in their 60's and wow - I've never seen either of them look so gorgeous!) Look no further if you are searching for a beautiful look and overall fabulous experience. Jen is your gal!

Jen is the best!

Jen did such an amazing job with my wedding makeup- she is an absolute pro who really listens to what you want. I am not much of a make-up wearer- tinted moisturizer and mascara is my usual go-to. I wanted a natural look so I looked great, but not like a different person. I described what I wanted and Jen went to work- only afterwards did I show her the pictures I had picked out of what I wanted and it was incredibly similar! She was also a saint and did makeup for my very picky mother, and even bought a new neutral palette since my mom wanted a barely-there look. The airbrush makeup is very easy to have all day and doesn't budge all night (but came off fairly easily when I soaped up with my face wash).

Great Experience

The entire process with Jen was great, from the trial to the day of she was great to work with. I don't normally wear a ton of makeup so it was important to me to look like myself on my wedding day and Jen gave me the exact look I was going for. She also did 6 of my bridesmaids who looked amazing. The entire airbrush process goes surprising fast but Jen has a great attention to detail. The makeup lasted all day and night (even through some tears) and looks fantastic in the photos. Could not have asked for a better outcome.

Amazing!!!

Jennifer did my makeup for my rehearsal dinner and wedding this past August and she is absolutely amazing! She uses an airbrush technique to apply foundation and it is game changing. On the night of my rehearsal dinner, it was close to 90 degrees and on the day of the wedding it rained, and my makeup stayed on impeccably. We had 11 hours of pictures and my makeup looked the same at the end of the night as it did in the beginning. All of my bridesmaids were also super impressed with her work. She doesn’t try to change your look, she just makes you look like the best version of yourself and I really liked how natural the makeup looked. Jennifer is really experienced and can do anything you want. And the last thing I will say about Jennifer is that she is super friendly and works very efficiently. I wish I lived closer to her because I would love to have her do my makeup for everything!

Perfection!

Jen did a fantastic job with my bridesmaids' make-up, my mom's make-up, and my make-up and spray tan. She's incredibly experienced with the airbrush make-up and gave us all glamorous but natural looks that lasted all day long (through all the tears, laughter, and sweat)! I had no specific direction, I just told her about my dress and wedding venue and she did a perfect job. Her spray tans are also something to rave about! I've never had one before, so I didn't know what to expect. I'm so glad I tried it because she gave me the perfect glow for my wedding day and I would definitely go back for another! Overall, I can't say enough about Jen! She's so talented and is also a joy to talk to and be around. Highly recommend!

I knew I wanted airbrush makeup for my wedding and after talking to a few friends, they suggested Jen at Spectrum Makeup Artistry, and thank goodness they did! Jennifer Hodge is amazing! Jen was the makeup artist for my October wedding, and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was very responsive before the wedding and always answered my questions in a timely manner. On our wedding day, Jen came to the hotel where we were getting ready and was calm, efficient and professional. She made everyone feel comfortable, and I cannot believe how quickly she finished all of our makeup! The best part about working with Jen, however, is how amazing we all looked for the wedding! Jen took the time to figure out what colors and style would look best on each of us, and everyone was thrilled with the results. The airbrush makeup was comfortable, natural looking and lasted all night. Even after a long night of dancing, our makeup still looked great! Bottom line, I want Jen to move into my house and do my make-up everyday!! Her work with the air brush make-up is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. It lasts all day with no touch up required. Jen did the airbrush make-up for a wedding I was in 5 years ago and I loved it. I knew then that when I got married I wanted her to do mine as a bride. She just did the make-up for myself and my bridal party in September and I could not be happier with the outcome! I can't wait to hire her again for another special occasion.

Jen was absolutely outstanding. I feel so lucky to have found her. From the first time I met her during my makeup trial I knew I had made the right decision. She is experienced, talented, efficient, professional and accomodating.

I had initially scheduled her for myself, one bridesmaid, and the two mothers (my other bridesmaids prefer a natural look and had opted out.) After seeing Jen’s work, everyone changed their minds! Jen kindly offered to accommodate 4 last minute add ons and continued to impress us all with her speed and skill. We all had perfect, smudge-free makeup even at brunch the next day. I need to preface this review with the following statement: I hate make-up on my face. It always feels like I'm wearing a mask and it makes me feel unlike myself. So when I was asked to get my make-up done for a friends wedding I was wildly hesitant. I told Jen (the make-up artist for that particular wedding) that I was a non-make-up wearer and I wanted to look as natural as possible. The skeptic I am, I thought I would look like a stranger in bridesmaid's dress. But boy did Jen deliver!

The airbrushing Jen does basically doesn't even feel like make-up. And you can cry and sweat your face off, but your face won't actually come off. I mean, it was 100 degrees for this wedding and NONE of it came off. So, obviously when I got engaged my first email was to Jen. She was an absolute joy to work with for my wedding and gave me exactly what I was looking for - a minimalist look that wouldn't come off when I started bawling.

Jen Hodge is the best. And you would be silly NOT to book her immediately.

Having Jennifer Hodge do my makeup for my wedding day was a wonderful experience. Not only did my makeup look beautiful, but Jennifer's personality was an absolute asset on the morning of my wedding! I would HIGHLY recommend Jenn Hodge for any event! I had her do my makeup and my mom/bridesmaids makeup for my wedding and it was amazing. I've had my makeup down at lots of wedding and she was the absolute best. She walked the perfect line between making sure I looked great in photos but also natural and great in real life. She was incredibly responsive to my requests for tweaks (just due to my changing my preferences), never getting upset or defensive when I was concerned about something. It mist/rained on my wedding day! Despite doing my makeup at 11:45, at 1:00 am after mist, rain, tears, and lots of sweaty dancing my makeup was still perfect!!! My Mom and Mother in Law despite never wearing fake lashes felt so comfortable with Jenn after seeing me, that they went for it too and absolutely loved it. She is incredibly nice and also has that calming presence you want on your wedding day, you can trust her to do the best job. She is also UNBELIEVABLY FAST. I had a huge bridal party and have been a bridesmaid a ton of times so was worried about and brought in 2 makeup artists. When Jenn says it only takes her 20 -30 minutes a face, she's telling the truth. Note: I found Jenn's pricing to be comparable with market. I just included bridal makeup below but $135.00 for bride; $85.00 per bridesmaid

I actually met Jen when I was a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding 5 years ago. It was the first time I had ever had air brush makeup done, and I absolutely loved it! When I got engaged and was planning my wedding, I immediately knew who I wanted for my big day. Jen was incredibly accommodating - traveled to our wedding venu with all of her equipment (including a chair!) - and did makeup for my bridal party (4 maids), my mother, and me. She applied fake lashes for my look, which stayed on all night (until the next morning!) without issue, and looked very natural. Everyone looked beautiful, and loved how natural and elegant the makeup looked - and especially how long it stayed on! No streaks or runs or any issues at all. I would highly recommend Jen for your wedding day. You will have an incredibly professional, beautiful look that you will never have to worry about (sweat and cry proof for 18 hours, is no lie!!) throughout the entire day and night!

Jen was so fabulous to work with! I never wear make-up and was pretty hesitant about getting professional make-up done for my wedding. My Mom convinced me to do it, and I was so happy that my Wedding Planner recommended Jen. She is so talented and really listened to what kind of natural look would make me happy. The trial appointment was key because she got to know my hair and very pale skin tone. On the day of the wedding she had created a custom hair-bump insert which gave my hair excellent shape and volume. I was so happy that the make-up for my wedding looked perfectly natural and I felt like myself. On top of all that, my Mom showed up for the wedding with some poorly done highlights by her local hair stylist. Jen was kind enough to fit in my Mom for a last minute color correction on her hair the week of the wedding. My Mom was so thrilled with her beautiful hair color for all the wedding pictures! Jen is wonderfully warm, professional, and talented - can't say enough good things about her!

I booked Jen to do my make-up for my wedding. It was my first time using airbrush and now I would never get anything else! Jen made me look natural and like myself, she traveled to my home, and was reasonably priced. The airbrush make up lasted all day through heat, tears, and lots of dancing. On top of doing amazing make up Jen also did the hair for my bridesmaids, everyone was very pleased with their hair and hair price was very reasonable as well.

Jennifer is amazing! Spray makeup is ideal for weddings because it stays on (and looks amazing) throughout the day! Jennifer truly makes you look natural, and her work photographs beautifully. I got married on Block Island and was outside for the entire day in the hot, August weather. The spray makeup never wears off despite crying, sweating, and spending 8+ hours in the spotlight. She is quick, and can handle any size wedding party (I had 10+ people, and everyone look gorgeous within 4 hours! ) Jennifer is a true professional who wants to make sure you look and feel your best on the BIG day! Jen made me and all my bridesmaids and mothers look absolutely amazing on my wedding day! I absolutely LOVED the airbrush technique that she does. It felt so light, not heavy and greasy like regular makeup can feel. It also looked just as perfect at the end of the wedding as it did at the beginning. It also was very quick and she was able to do 6 ladies in about 2.5 hours. We all looked natural and gorgeous. Jen was very professional and very responsive to emails. She was of course on time and brought everything that she needed herself to set up including table and chair. I could not recommend Jen any more highly!!

I had a privilege to have Jen as my makeup artist on my wedding in Portsmouth, RI this passed June. Prior to the wedding, I got a trial from Jen to discuss different makeup ideas. The entire meeting went very smoothly and she gave me lots of beauty tips.

On the wedding day, she arrived on time and handled five people without any delay! Her skills and speed were incredible. Another thing that I want to highlight about her service is eyelash extensions. Instead of gluing a big batch, she put individual eye lashes one by one, which turned out to be not only beautiful but also comfortable! They all lasted strong throughout the entire day & night. Did I also mention I got air brushed? So natural and comfortable....I just got the best of the best makeup from Jen and it all happened without ANY delay!

Jen is very flexible and approachable. Once you show her sample photos, she instantly understands what you want and executes it by reflecting your natural beauty. If you want something different, just tell her and she will show you another style right away.

Jen is the most talented makeup artist around. I hired her to travel to Pricidence to do my makeup and the makeup for all seven of my bridesmaid and two moms for my wedding day last weekend. A year prior, Jen welcomed me to her studio for a trial. She was patient and listened carefully to the ideas I had. On my wedding day, Jen was prompt and prepared. She got right to work and every possible supply imaginable with her. She was cheerful and made each person look spectacular on my big day. She is especially talented with fair/pale women as she makes their skin just glow. Not only is Jen the perfect option for any bridal party, she's just a gal you want to be around in your wedding day. You receive tremendous value for the money with Jen. It was a pleasure to work with her. I wi definitely be using her again for other events.

Jen is amazing! She is a talented makeup artist. The quality of the airbrush is incredible. The makeup stayed on through tears and sweat and still looked great by the end of the night. Also, the extra lashes are a must! I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look flawless on their wedding day.

Jennifer Hodge was an absolute gem of a find for us! After our original hair and makeup plans fell through on short notice, thankfully, Jennifer had our wedding date available. With no time left, we were unable to have a trial, but we had to take that risk. We never needed to worry! My daughter and her party looked absolutely stunning on the big day. I especially loved how natural my daughter looked--you could even still see her wonderful freckles!

Additionally, Jennifer did my 78 year old mother's makeup and she was just a beauty! She also graciously allowed us to add a last minute participant for hair and makeup and we still made it out the door on time. Jennifer was personable, professional and an absolute joy to work with!

I had a the privilege of working with Jennifer Hodge 3+ years ago for a wedding I was a part of. When it became time to plan my own wedding, I booked Jen immediately. I have worked with other makeup artists in the past and Jen is just so lovely to work with - she just stands out! She is extremely talented and knowledgeable. Furthermore, she is really gentle and considerate when working with clients. My wedding day makeup was so light (highly recommend the airbrush) - I didn't feel like I was wearing any makeup at all. Also, I didn't look too overdone - I just looked like the best version of myself and that's what a bride should feel like on her wedding day. Jennifer Hodge also did airbrush makeup for my bridesmaids, the mothers and the grandmothers as well. They absolutely loved their makeup! They all looked and felt beautiful! Spectrum Makeup Artistry made my wedding so beautiful and totally relaxed due to the team’s skill and professionalism.

The day of our wedding was completely stress free for my bridal party in large part due to Jenn and her team. She arrived early, worked perfectly and adjusted easily to the usual mess of things that come up on the day of. When my habitually late bridesmaid was a full hour and a half later than when I told her to arrive -- No worries! We just moved other people forward. One of my bridesmaids wanted to adjust her hair a little lower than she initially told the hair stylist --- no worries! Easily adjusted! One of my bridesmaids hates having her hair up - Jen easily worked with her and the awesome end result was undeniable! My mother-in-law had to make an emergent medicine run - not a problem, we just adjusted the schedule and when she came in, Jen instantly put her at ease. We still finished over an hour ahead of when I needed to leave for the venue. When my mother launched into an emotional, long story that started with her mother and when my mom had cancer when I was 5 --- no worries! Jenn acted as a psychologist while also efficiently getting my mother through services. The end result was absolutely stunning for every person and the hair lasted in through our long day in my outdoor ceremony at a venue known for windy days.

I tried three other makeup artists in trials before I went back to the first venue that had been recommended to me by our awesome caterers. I was trying to cut costs and go with a less expensive artist, but I just ended up back where I was supposed to go to start with because I wasn't satisfied at the other places. I wanted an old school glam look with a bright red lip and eyes that pop, but I also wanted it to look right at 5:30 during our outdoor garden venue. Jennifer worked with everything. I was very particular on my hair and ended up with two trials to get it right, which was perfect the day of! Thank you!

I really enjoyed working with Jennifer. I got in touch with her about a month before my wedding, on our florist's recommendation. At that point, I've already had two other trials and my fiancé wasn't keen on the results. I wanted someone who's had Asian brides for clients before (I also had an all-Asian bridal party), and I just wanted a natural look with a radiant glow. I was really happy with both Jennifer's work and her personality. The makeup felt so light throughout the day, and to me, the most amazing thing was it felt like I wasn't wearing false lashes at all! She's such a pro! The makeup lasted the whole day and needed no touch ups. I looked so awake with only 3 hours of sleep. Jennifer is also very kind, super responsive, accommodating, and had the right amount of energy (positive and encouraging, but not overly bubbly or overly enthusiastic) which was perfect!

I reached out to Jennifer by recommendation of another bride and found her to be responsive, professional and all around wonderful to work with. I am not able to work with Jennifer on my wedding day because she is booked for another client. However, she still went out of her way to make other referrals that fit the look I was striving for. Jennifer is an amazingly kind-hearted person and I have no doubt that those lucky enough to work with her will have the most amazing experience.

Jen has done my make up before and I LOVED it! I knew I needed her to do my makeup for my wedding. She uses Temptu Airbrush which makes you look flawless and defined. Jennifer did my makeup for my wedding, as well as the makeup for my mother, mother-in-law, maids of honor, and bridesmaids. I was very happy with how Jen listened to my requests and created a look that I was really happy with. (I did a hair and makeup trial a month or so before my wedding, so that we could decide in advance on the look.) Jen was professional and listened to what I wanted, and also gave some specific suggestions on how to get the look I was describing. The airbrush makeup was light and comfortable-- and I never wear makeup, so I was pleased with how light it was.

Could not have been happier to have Jen a part of our day. Everyone looked amazing and was happy with their makeup, even the mothers. Finding a makeup artist as an Asian woman was the scariest part of the wedding process. No matter how good the makeup artist is, I find that most do not know what to do with Asian eye makeup. I was extremely happy with my trial with Jennifer and the makeup on the day of. She was extremely accommodating and understood my fears, and did a wonderful job. She did most of the makeup and I touched up the eyes. Airbrush makeup is the way to go, it looks natural in person and in photos and lasts a long time. It was still looking amazing at the end of the night after a night of dancing. We also had 10 people who needed to be ready by 2pm, Jennifer was prompt and got us all ready in time. I would highly recommend her for the big day.

I absolutely loved my makeup for my wedding day- my skin looked perfect and I loved how my eyes came out- overall loved everything about my look. I thought my mom who is 58 looked transformed! Jen was amazing to work with! She came out to where my bridesmaids and I were getting ready in Newport, and immediately we all felt at ease and as if she had been hanging out with us all day! She brought a sense of professionalism, calmness, and humor that was very well received as we all began to get a bit of the pre-wedding jitters! Jennifer was an absolute pleasure to work with in both the scheduling and the day of with makeup! She came right to the house that we were getting ready in and made everything so easy! As soon as Jennifer came to the house she brought a sense of calmness with her which was much appreciated. My Mom, Sister and I felt absolutely beautiful and the makeup was so light it didn't look or feel like we had that much on. Jennifer kept each of us informed as she was applying the makeup and truly gave us a say in what we wanted to look like. I had never had airbrushed makeup before and now if I'm going to get my makeup professionally done I would rather the airbrushed.. Our makeup and eyelashes stayed intact the whole day and night even with the wedding tears!! Jennifer was wonderful and I would absolutely use her again in a heartbeat!

She is an expert at what she does and I would recommend airbrush to anyone for their wedding day - the look is perfect and flawless and it does not wear off at all! Jennifer was great to work with for my wedding. She was able to accommodate my crazy planning schedule since I planned a Newport, RI wedding from Atlanta, GA. I had a makeup trial with Jennifer, and it was definitely helpful to get a basic idea of airbrush makeup! It's amazing! Super light, easy application... stays on for as long as you want it to! It's also easy to remove..

I don't wear makeup ever, so it was scary to think about makeup on my wedding day. Jennifer's airbrushing made me feel like I didn't have makeup on at all, but it was just what I needed for all the pictures. My bridesmaids all tried airbrushing for the first time, as well, and they all loved it! Even the ones who normally wear makeup. (I even had a bridesmaid who works for Avon, and she fell in love with airbrush!)

Thanks so much again, Jennifer! It was a pleasure working with you. Thank you for making myself and my girls comfortably picture perfect!! You have definitely converted my friends and I to airbrush!!

Jen was awesome in all respects! She swooped in to do my make-up and hair after I had a total disaster with my original hair and make-up artist. She was awesome in the trial, had so much patience as I tried to figure out what look would work best, and gave a lot of great suggestion from my very vague instructions and by responding to my reactions before I even knew what I was thinking! This is not something that is easy to come by (trust me, I learned the hard way). Of equal importance to the skill that Jen showed, is her sense of humor that helps lighten any tense pretty-wedding nervousness, and also her confidence that she is going to get you looking your best for your big day. Even my mother, who barely wears make-up, felt comfortable in Jen's hands, and came out looking great! Would recommend to anyone!

Jennifer did an amazing job with my wedding day make up! I did a lot of searching and picked her because I liked that she specialized in airbrush makeup (all the other vendors I looked into charged extra for airbrush). Not only that, but she did not charge excess/ridiculous travel fees like other vendors did. I felt like I was working with a person, and not a business that just cared about profit. She was very reasonable, personable, and flexible. I was running late on the day of my trial and she was so flexible and actually let me change our appointment time to several hours later, even though I called on the day of the trial. I was not completely satisfied with the trial but that was my fault because I am clueless when it comes to makeup so I did not explain what I wanted very well, nor did I come prepared with a photo. I guess that is what trials are for though! Jennifer told me to bring some example photos for the wedding day so she would have a better idea of what I wanted. I did so and she was able to imitate what I wanted perfectly. I definitely felt that I was in good hands. She worked efficiently and even helped my mom touch up her eyebrows even though that wasn't in our contract. Everyone thought my makeup was beautiful and I definitely felt beautiful! Jennifer is very talented, skilled, and capable at what she does and I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Jen from Spectrum Makeup Artistry was extremely professional, proficient in her skill, flexible with time and location, and efficient with use of time and timeliness. She was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her. She was very respectful of personal space and informative during every step of the process telling you what she was doing next and why she was doing it. Her work is amazing. It is truly an art. I performed a trial of traditional make up and airbrush make up prior to my wedding. The make up that Jen provided stayed on at least 10x as long. When photographed it looked more natural and less shiny. I was not sold on it until I did it. Let me tell you it was well worth the investment.

Jen was simply amazing to work with! I have hyperpigmentation and was very concerned about being able to cover it for my wedding on 9.14.13 at the Narragansett Towers in Narragansett, RI. Jennifer Hodge is an incredibly gifted makeup artist. Every interaction I had with Jen was a joy. I needed to reschedule my trial when our engagement photo session was rained out, and Jen was flexible and fit me in on 2 days notice. My trial was perfect and makeup day-of even better. My mom and maid of honor loved their makeup, too. I had a few guests come up to me after I had been dancing like mad for a couple of hours and actually ask me how I still looked so "fresh". Jennifer is an awesome makeup artist! I hired her to do airbrush makeup for my bridesmaids and I for my recent wedding and she did an amazing job. All of my bridesmaids were very happy with how their makeup turned out and I loved my look as well. The makeup stayed on all day- in fact, it still looked good the next morning so I was able to wear it to my post wedding brunch. Jennifer was very professional and easy to work with and always responded to email quickly.

Jen is fabulous. Not only is she super down to earth, professional and talented but she made us all look naturally beautiful and flawless on my wedding day. The airbrush coverage was excellent and lasted all day. It definitely was a great choice for a hot, sunny summer day. Jen was even able to totally conceal a wicked sunburn I had on my back and shoulders (would not have been a good look in a strapless wedding dress!). I would highly recommend her and her airbrush makeup!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful and talented Jennifer Hodge is! Not only is she down to earth, friendly and extremely accommodating but her talent is unbelievable! The temptu airbrush is not only light enough to let my freckles still shine through my makeup, but heavy enough that it allowed for overall coverage (while being sweat and waterproof on a 90 degree July day!) All 7 of us who received Jennifer's services looked absolute flawless and beautiful ( including my MIL who never wears a stitch of makeup and felt the best she had in years)! I cannot wait to have another event to go to so I can immediately call Jennifer to do my makeup again! A++++!!!

I have to begin by saying, I had never heard of airbrush makeup before. A friend of the family had used Jennifer for their wedding, and came highly recommended. I looked at her website online, and sent a request, and lucky for me, she was available for my day!
After the trial, I knew this was IT. She HAD to do my makeup for my big day! I have to say, I looked absolutely stunning. Jennifer really knows what she's doing, and does a FABULOUS job! On my big day, she showed up right on time, and came in, set up, and went straight to work on me and my bridesmaids. We were all just in awe over how amazing we looked! That, and I have extremely sensitive skin, and the makeup she used didn't clog my pores or cause any breakouts! She did my makeup first thing in the morning, and I still looked just as great at 10:30pm when my wedding was ending.
Not only is the work she does AMAZING, but so is her personality. She is so much fun, and such a sweetheart. I will recommend her to every upcoming bride I meet!!

I used Jennifer Hodge for my wedding in Westerly, RI, and I could not have been happier with my decision. I chose not to do a trial before my wedding, but it didn't matter because Jennifer got it exactly right the day of! A few of my bridesmaids were actually skeptical about airbrush makeup (thinking it might look caked on) and did not sign up beforehand, but once they saw how amazing the makeup looked, they were dying to be squeezed in that day! Jennifer was very accommodating and added 3 extra girls to our already busy day. Everyone looked gorgeous and natural. We were married on a sunny day on the beach, and our makeup held up throughout the ceremony and reception. Jennifer is very professional and talented, and I would definitely recommend her. It is worth spending a little bit extra to get someone who really knows her craft. Thank you Jennifer!

Jen was wonderful to work with. She did the makeup for myself and three of my bridesmaids. She really listens to what you want. Some of the girls wanted a more natural look, and others more dramatic makeup. I would highly recommend Jen, she was easy to work with, on time, and did a wonderful job. The makeup is awesome as well. The airbrush stayed on all day and looked perfect! Everyone loved it! I felt like a princess!

Jennifer Hodge did an amazing job on the airbrush makeup for myself and my bridal party! Everyone looked beautiful, flawless and picture perfect. During my trial I really learned a lot about the products she uses and we played around with different looks for my big day. I was nervous going in because I have sensitive skin but her products are top of the line and it did not even feel like I had anything on my face. My entire parties only regret was that we could not take Jenn home with us to do our makeup on a daily basis!
Overall I feel that airbrush is the best option for beautiful, cohesive photos for bridal parties and is the only option that will hold up on a hot humid summer day (like mine). Jenn herself is one of the most talented in her field and I would recommend her services to anyone in any season!

Jennifer is amazing! I booked her even before doing a trial for my wedding. I just saw her work from wedding photography sites. Seeing that I don't typically wear any makeup, she reassured me that she could adjust the amount of makeup so that I don't look too made up. My family and I requested to look "natural" which she had explained during my trial is not an easy task. My family all LOVED her! I would highly recommend her in a heartbeat!

Jennifer did my makeup for my wedding and I have never felt more beautiful! The makeup was amazing and stayed on all day! I received numerouse compliments on my makeup throughout the day. I cannot rave enough about Jen! I normally don't wear a lot of makeup in general so makeup that was airbrushed was new to me. The makeup was extremely natural looking and it stayed on all day & night.
Jen met with me ahead of time for a makeup trial. She was professional and offered suggestions on colors she thought would look good on me. I immediately loved all of her suggestions! On the day of my wedding, I knew my wedding party & I were in good hands. Everyone's makeup looked beautiful! My family is still talking about how they loved the airbrush makeup. I would highly recommend Jen as your makeup artist!

From my trial to my wedding day Jennifer was fantastic to work with. It was great to have her travel to us to apply airbrush makeup for the mother of the groom and the entire bridal party. Amazing make-up by Jen. The airbrush finish is incredible and has to be seen to be believed. She made me look radiant for my wedding day and really listened to how I wanted my make-up to be. Jen is a great person to be around on your special day and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

Jen was absolutely amazing. I originally planned on using a different artist and he didn't deliver what I wanted in my test run. Jen went out of her way to make herself available, since I was only in town for a couple of days(I live in California). She listened to everything I wanted and gave me good advice for keeping my skin healthy before the wedding.
She airbrushed my makeup and almost everyone in the party. They are already a beautiful group, but she made everyone stunning. My makeup felt flawless but not overdone. I felt like you could barely see it in the pictures. She also did amazing lashes on my mom and me. We have never had full lashes so we were both in heaven. Jen was the perfect makeup artist for my big day. It was really nice to not have to worry about a thing with her!

I am beyond anal when it comes to my own makeup, so I was nervous to have anyone do my makeup for such an important day. Jen did a beautiful job duplicating exactly what I wanted, and I was so happy with how my makeup looked, not only in the mirror, but in pictures as well. The airbrushing is amazing, and I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially for wedding makeup that needs to last for 8-12 hours. I didn't have to touch up anything the entire day, yet the makeup felt light and didn't smudge off on every person I hugged throughout the wedding. Beautiful work, Jen! :)

I was planning a Rhode Island wedding from DC so I had no idea where to look for a makeup artist I could trust. I'd already had a few bad trials so I was looking in regional bridal magazines to see who the best vendors were. I saw Jen listed in just about ever feature that I liked. Luckily she was free on my date and she was absolutely perfect. She has an amazingly calm nature about her and she is totally dedicated to making you look your best. She did my whole bridal party and did mutliple touch ups to me, including taking my photo to make sure I looked perfect on film too. I cannot recommend Jen more highly, she is a true professional and extremely talented. If you can book her, you are a lucky bride!

I travelled to the US from the UK to be bridesmaid to my best friend and Jen did our makeup. I had never heard of air-brushed makeup before but it was amazing. I go red very easily and often look either flushed or, if tired, pallid in photos but I have to say the airbrushing was amazing. From the time it was applied to the end of the night (during which I did not hold back on the dancing!) the makeup stayed put and looked great. What really impressed me though was how generous Jen has been with her time. I am getting married in the UK in December and will have to do my own makeup, so I asked Jen for some advice. On my return to the UK she sent me a long email full of brand and colour advice. She remembered my skin colouring and was so thorough in what she included in the email. Brilliant! If I could I would fly her here to do my makeup for me but as a second best option, I am thrilled with all the information I have. Thank you Jen.

Jenn is very talented, good natured, and professional individual. The airbrush job she did was amazing. I looked and felt beautiful all day. I loved the aribrush makeup because it did not wipe off on your clothing and allowed you to dance all through the night and never come off. Jen Hodge did an amazing job with my wedding makeup. She traveled on-site to do the makeup for myself, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mom and mother-in-law, and even though we had quite a few people, we were all ready with time to spare, which made for a very relaxing wedding day morning. The airbrush makeup is absolutely amazing. My skin was seriously misbehaving the week of my wedding (thank you stress), but the airbrush foundation covered all of my blemishes and stayed put all day! And it really looks very natural and does not get cakey at all, even as the day goes on. I felt confident and beautiful, and my photos came out amazing. Also, during my trial, Jen took the time to figure out the best lashes that would work for me. I have smaller eyes, and in the past I have had very expensive makeup artists try to put full sets of lashes on my eyes, which distorts the eye and makes you look different. Jen knew this and did all individual small lashes for both the trial and the day-of and it looked fabulous. All of my bridesmaids and my mom and mother-in-law looked gorgeous as well....yet still very natural. I would HIGHLY recommend Jen Hodge for any brides looking for airbrush makeup in the RI area (and now that I have done airbrush I really think it is the only way to go).

I hired Jen to do my airbrushed wedding makekup (plus 2 bridesmaids, my maid of honor and my mom) and I am so glad that I did! She came to the hotel where my bridal party and I were getting ready which made it super convenient for us. Jen is so easy to work with and listened to what everyone wanted. We all looked absolutely beautiful and the makeup lasted ALL DAY LONG. It was an extremely hot and humid day, but we never had to worry about touching up our makeup. I wish I could have Jen do my makeup every day!

I had searched the internet and facebook for a makeup artist that does airbrush makeup for my potentially humid August wedding and came across Spectrum Makeup, only to find out that it was the Jennifer Hodge that I grew up next to. I knew she was a hairdresser, but didn't realize that she did makeup too. Needless to say, it was a nice reunion since I have since moved out of that neighborhood. With my relationship to Jennifer aside, she was a phenomenal artist and the airbrushing was perfect. She has a great eye for coloring to make you feel fresh and beautiful. I had a trial done months prior to the wedding and brought my mother, not only did the makeup that Jennifer did make me feel fabulous and natural, but I could barely feel anything on my face. The feeling of airbrushing was the refreshing and light. The BEST part of the whole airbrushing experience was the length of how long the makeup lasted. We had a very humid day for our wedding and by the end of the night I was very sweaty, however I still looked great due to the airbrushed makeup. I would recommend anyone to get their makeup airbrushed for a special day/event!!! Thank You Jen!!!

JEN IS SUCH A TALENTED MAKE UP ARTIST!
I initially met Jen when she was the make up artist for my sister's wedding, and I was a bridesmaid. We had such a fantastic experience with her that hiring her when it was time for my wedding was a no brainer. Leading up to the wedding, Jen was professional and quick to respond to all of my inquiries. On the day of my wedding, Jen showed up early to set up, with a smile on her face. She seemed genuinely excited to be there, and fit right in with all of the girls! My make up was flawless the entire day- simply, she made me FEEL beautiful.
She made everyone look great- from my mother and mother in law, to little sister! She knew which colors matched everyone's skin tones perfectly.
It was just such an easy, pleasant experience working with Jen. She is reasonably priced, and worth every penny. I just recieved my wedding pictures back from my photographer, and I can't believe that I looked jsut as good in the begining of the day, as I did at the end of the night. I credit Jen for doing such an amazing job.
I have reccomended her since to many friends, and will continue to do so!

Jen Hodge was fabulous to work with for my wedding day makeup. It was the first time I've tried airbrushed makeup and loved it. I was very pleased with how great my skin looked and it didn't look like I had foundation etc. caked on. Jen was able to create a fresh, natural, glowy look that still looked like me and I didn't feel overly made up, which was important as I don't normally wear a lot of make up. Having something that would last the entire day and be sweat proof and tear proof is ideal for a wedding. I would definitely recommend Jen to other brides out there. My mother and bridesmaids all looked gorgeous as well.

Completely satisfied with my experience! My Mom was self conscious about a skin cancer scar on the side of her face and wasn't looking forward to being photographed. With the airbrush makeup the scar was gone! She felt confident and beautiful the whole day! I loved how my makeup came out and the best part was it didn't fade or smudge the whole day even when I came into my reception on a sailboat! I highly recommend Jennifer. She listens to what YOU want and is able to execute what you want perfectly. She also traveled all the way to the Cape for my wedding and was so accommodating!

Jen did amazing, beautiful work for my wedding and she was just such a pleasure to work with!! You will be in good hands with her because she is so good at what she does and will make you look your most beautiful. She really listens to what you want and makes sure you look exactly how you want to look. I had never tried airbrush makeup before and now I am hooked because it is really amazing! Jennifer was absolutely wonderful and the quality of the airbrush make-up is unbelievable, an absolute must if you want to look your best. My wedding party was glowing all day and our pictures look great. Everyone had on the perfect amount of make-up to look truly stunning.

I found Spectrum Makeup Artistry by Jennifer Hodge, through my wedding planner. I went and had a trial with her and fell in love with how glamorous she made me feel! All her make-up is airbrush just like celebrities ! It stays on for 18 hrs and let me tell you I tested that out with all the dancing we did! It didn't even smudge! On my wedding day, she made me look like such a princess and i would recommend her to any brides to be! She is the best!
