    We had an amazing time with Jen Carroll photography! The photos were amazing!!! We had a lot of fun. A lot of the photos of details that I didn't notice throughout our night! Just gorgeous and couldn't be happier! I would recommend Jen Carroll Photography to anyone looking for an awesome photographer. Thank you!!!

    We had Kelly as our photographer for our wedding and she was great! She worked well with everyone, even when some people were hot and crabby. We haven't received her final proofs yet, but I know just from the samples that she showed me everything will turn our wonderfully. They have exceptional pricing for a great product! Highly recommended!!!!

    Very affordable and loved her attitude at the wedding. Very professional and kept us on time with the schedule. I could only afford 4 1/2 hours of photography, so we had to squeeze everything in. I got married on 08/29/2008 and today is 09/23/2008 and I have yet to see my photos, BUT she was affordable and her past work looks good and she was nice.

    We originally met with Jen Carroll about a year before the wedding to book her services. Once we put down a deposit we never met with her again until I ( The Groom) showed up to the ceremony to do pre ceremony pictures with the groomsmen. At this time she wondered off and left me and my groomsmen wondering what to do. I eventually tracked her down and we began getting pictures done. most pre and post ceremony pictures were taken outside. She was given a list of must do pictures but most of these posed picture requested were not fulfilled. after three months of not hearing from her after the wedding and checking on her website to see if our pictures were posted yet, we finally noticed that some were posted, I e-mailed and asked for the password so I could view them. Upon viewing the pictures I have discovered that they are not very professional pictures at all. We had a large wedding party so when photographing the entire party, they are not posed where we can see there faces, they are all at a distance. The pictures taken outside were taken at bad angles where everyone has sun spots and shadows on there faces and they are to bright to see well, and most of the pictures are not even as high quality as the family members ones that were standing next to her taking the same photos.

    Jen was a very Pleasant woman and by viewing her pictures of other events she has posted it appears as though she is a wonderful photographer and I truly believe she is but I just don't feel her heart was in it with our wedding if you compare our pictures to other events she has done.

    UPDATE:

    It is now February 20th 2009. We finally received our pictures today. The pictures are not any better than they appeared online.

    Jason, in the contract you signed, it discussed late wedding party members. Your party (groomsmen) was very, very late. I remember fondly waiting for them to arrive, we worried about your lateness as well. Also, looking at your file now (2 years later, when i just noticed this review) photos are mailed after remaining balance is paid in full, yours wasn't paid in full until January 25, 2009 making your order due to arrive to you in about February. As far as photos with sun, it's what you requested after being warned of the results. Only a few had brightness and we retook those under the tree and bridge if you remember correctly. As far as the list of photographs that you're claiming are not there; the list is still in your file, as well as a photograph for each item on the list.     *Edit to previous post* I originally said she was an excellent photographer; however, her overall responsiveness, professionalism and timing are the worst. Trying to get our pictures from her was a nightmare, and we never did get the wooden frame promised with the package. I got to the point where I was so frustrated dealing with her through unresponsive emails and phone calls that I just gave up trying... Overall, the pictures turned out good, but she lacked attention to detail (the train on my dress is messed up in almost every formal shot and the white of my dress is so washed out you can't even see the jewels or embroidery).

    I agree with Jason below, that other people's photos that we saw turned out much better than ours.

    Very surprised to hear this. You left excited and happy about these photographs. What happened? This wedding has huge commentary as your enlargements are hanging up on my walls. I'm very confused at this post, unfortunately, it's been up for a long time and i just noticed it. As far as getting your pictures being a "nightmare".. your wedding was 10-11-08, when you pay your remaining balance then you recieve your CD's on 12-3-2008. We waiting for your response for your englargements which we recieved and orded on 12-16-08 and were mailed to you on January 14. I don't see a time issue.

    I had a horrible experience with Jen Carroll Photography, mainly the professionalism of the photographer Laura & the owner Jen who I felt did nothing to rectify the situations that happened here. Laura, almost had a breakdown cause she was listening to everyone but the Bride & Groom, which should be a given, she never apologized. She took more than one photo of a large family group & only 1 was found of this group shot, when more than one was taken or should have been taken, (who only takes one picture of a large group of people?) with sun spots & blurry (this photo was one of the main reasons it took so long cause her camera shutter kept acting up & not working). It states in the contract that photos should take 6-9 weeks & it took over 11 weeks. I kept asking Jen where they were, she kept giving me dates they would be done & those dates would come & go & then another date was given & so on. When we finally got the pictures is when the 1 photo was missing initially the large family, I was offered a discount and freebee for this missing photo & Laura's behavior (not because the pictures took so long to get), then the one picture was found, all blurry with sun spots & I was expected to pay full price & the freebees were taken away cause the situation had been so called 'rectified' (Jen's words), which I felt it had not. Then the emails btwn Jen & I went back & forth with her arguing this & that & me arguing back, trying to get my point across, I finally paid her so that I could at least get my pictures & be done with the situation and so I could then write my reviews. I was afraid to write them before I got my pictures for fear she would never give them to me, and she has done nothing but threaten to file a court order on me and my family and friends if we continue to write negative reviews on her.This ordeal was anightmare, and it still ongoing just becuase I want to to tell people what I went through and Jen does not want people to know.

    419 beautiful photos are up for anyone to view if they have any questions. ABSOLUTELY no photos get sent out until the balance is paid in full and you had an issue with that. There is no record that any situation even happened except that the bride and groom weren't very cooperative. Photographer reported alcohol was a factor. If anyone has any question, you are more than welcome to ask. The wedding photos will speak beautifully for themselves. Thank you and best wishes.
