Amazing photographer

I found Jeffrey through Instagram and loved his work. I hired him to photograph my small wedding at the Santa Maria country club in August 2019. He captured every memory in a beautiful way, when I look back at my pictures it’s like reliving the wedding day. He is a laid back guy and great at what he does. I looked at so many photographers and his work for the price can’t be beat. I would highly recommend hiring him.

Even though we had to reschedule he was an absolute joy to work with.

So bummed we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID. Jeffrey was amazing through the whole process. Looking forward to working with him in the future. Amazing guy with a caring and professional attitude! Best of the best!

Best photographer ever!

We really wanted a great photographer going into our wedding. We spent countless hours looking for a photographer until we found Jeff. We honestly stopped looking once we saw his work and we knew we needed him to be our photographer for our wedding. The pictures he takes are not your common poses but he tells a story with every picture he takes! He makes you feel very comfortable while taking pictures and also makes you laugh throughout the day making it so much easier. The memories we will have from our wedding will be great thanks to the pictures we will be able to go back to thanks to Jeff!! He’s the man, the myth, the legend when it comes to photography!! Thanks for everything Jeff and we can’t wait to see the rest of our pictures!!

We love Jeff's photos as much as we love working with Jeff! We talked with 20+ photographers before picking Jeff - we really loved his portfolio, he was willing to work with us to find a package that met our budget, and importantly to us we really connected with Jeff the moment we first talked with him. We are from out of town, so we didn't have the opportunity to meet Jeff until a few days before our wedding, but we instantly felt like he was an old friend. We knew that we could trust him to make sure we got the photos that we really wanted (and loved!) but it was also important to us that he helped lead the show, felt like a guest, and would make sure that we could spend as much time as possible with our friends and family on our wedding day. Jeff did all of that and more - and even a few months later I still look through the photos almost daily and am so happy with all of the different shots, scenes, and photos from throughout the day. We 100% recommend Jeff and would absolutely choose him again!

Jeff is easy-going, fun and passionate about what he does. He's also great with kids.

Our engagement shoot was in Downtown LA. The wedding was in Los Alamos.

Even though there were some challenges with the sunlight on our wedding day (we started our wedding early) and a strict timeline, he delivered like a champ!

I was looking for a photographer who can capture my husband's silly personality that I fell in love with. After looking through a bunch of photographers through yelp, wedding wire, the knott, and instagram, Jeff's photos stood out to me. The aesthetic was nice and I could tell by the photos that people were comfortable around him.

He also runs a photobooth business which was very convenient for me. One less thing for me to look for. He has a lot of creative templates for you to choose from. In my case, he gave me the photoshop template so I can design my own.

Not only did we gain an awesome photographer, but we also gained a fun foodie friend!

Without a doubt, Jeff absolutely made our wedding day! We were so lucky to work with Jeff and his assistant Danielle (and his niece too!) on our wedding day, as he completely captured the spirit and celebration that my husband and I felt during our day. He was so professional and made us feel comfortable but we also had so much fun with him, which made him part of our celebration. Since the wedding day, many of our friends and guests have reached out to us to say how much they also loved Jeff and felt like he was another friend attending the wedding (he even got out on the dance floor!). He did absolutely everything that his bio says he will. The photos are modern, interesting, beautiful, unique, and exactly what we wanted!

He also provided his Kuya Booth for our reception and our guests had so much fun with all the props. He even made a custom design for the photo booth print outs that went with our wedding theme that was absolutely perfect.

Best of all, the pictures are some of the most beautiful wedding pictures I have ever seen... sometimes I can't even believe that it is my wedding day! He completely exceeded my expectations. I am so grateful that we found Jeff to photograph our wedding and I would absolutely choose him to do it all over again. Without a doubt, Jeff is one of the best choices we made for our wedding day!

My wife and I had the best experience working with Jeff. He is very easy to get along with and we immediately became friends with him during the engagement session. One thing we liked is how easy going he was and how every photography session with him just flowed. There was no awkward posing or doing shots we didn't want to. Everything was pretty much natural. He is probably one of the best photographers I've met and no, I'm not just saying that because he shot our wedding. If you look at his work, you can immediately tell he has a unique style and isn't just another one of those run-of-the-mill photographers that shoots generic wedding photos. In other words, your photos won't be basic. Jeff has a great eye for capturing moments and backgrounds in the most beautiful way possible. I can't complement him enough and we are so grateful he shot our wedding. You need to book this guy for your wedding. Seriously.

Jeff is not only an amazing photographer, but also a really fun person to work with. He is so energized and clearly loves what he does. We took pictures in a vineyard and Jeff hopped up on the roof of his car to get an aerial view. It was awesome! He also kept telling us he was taking off from the reception (since his scheduled time was done), but he just kept sticking around because he was having such a great time! We ended up with over 1500 incredible photos, which we are so thankful for because they will help us remember all the little details we don't want to forget. Highly, highly recommend.

But beyond providing an incredible set of wedding pics... Jeff has a remarkable work ethic, a great sense of humor while maintaining professionalism, the ability to go-with-the-flow, and a wonderful "bedside manner". Since we lived out of town, he set up skype chats to meet us before we committed, he customized our package to include the hours/coverage we really needed based on our budget, he was prompt with every email exchange to answer all of our questions, he made multiple on-site visits to get to know the venue in advance, and he showed up early/stayed late to the wedding day to ensure everything ran smoothly. Jeff was our wedding day photographer. We got married in SLO but are from San Diego so we didn't get a chance to meet Jeff in person until our wedding day... but we felt like we knew him from all the email conversations along the way! We knew we loved his style of work from the moment we saw his photos, and our only direction was to keep it natural and to have fun... and he did exactly that! He brought a second shooter, Troy, who was also incredible. The two of them were so fun to have around all day, and Jeff's excitement over the photos got us even more into it. It was never tedious or awkward... it was fun! We have since received our photos and photo books and they are AMAZING!! We have had so many comments and positive feedback from all our friends and family. We knew that we only had one chance to get these photos (can you imagine having bad wedding photos?! you can't take that back!)... and we could not be more pleased. The whole package that was delivered to us was so thoughtful and so beautiful. We are so pleased. Thank you Jeff!!!

We worked with Jeff for both our engagement photos and wedding day! I usually do not like taking pictures, but Jeff has a way of making you feel comfortable and natural. My husband and I actually thought taking photos during our wedding day was part of the fun (as opposed to something that we had to get done). Jeff is professional, artistic, reliable, and has an eye for detail. We were so happy with our engagement photos and can't wait to see the wedding day photos! We booked Jeff @ San Juan Photography for our engagement photo shoot and wedding day. After working with Jeff during the engagement session we felt so comfortable the day of our wedding. I would highly recommend doing both with the same photographer. Jeff is very professional and friendly. He listens to your requests and has a very artistic eye. We also used the Kuyabooth and had a blast with our guests. With the use of his props the photos came out so funny! It was truly a wonderful day and we have many wonderful pictures to remember it. Overall we were happy with the outcomes of our wedding pictures. I just wish we got some guidance on what types of pictures we should have taken, especially at the church. The day was so chaotic that I missed out on taking important pictures with family and friends at the church. It would have also been nice if the food was pictured as well.

Jeff and his team are the best! He was able to capture the essence of every moment of the wedding day. Jeff took Mommy and Daughter pictures for my daughter and I. He has a very sweet and welcoming personality.If you're looking for a down-to-earth photographer, then you definitely want to book with Jeff. Kuya Jep Photography was so awesome!!! He took engagement type photos for us for our yearly christmas cards, and made us feel super comfortable during our session (which is super important, because my husband and i always feel a little awkward taking photos). Kuya Jep has a great personality and very easy to work with! I wish we would have found him for our wedding! The quality of the photos are down-right amazing... i felt he captured us perfectly and made us look great, our pics were not super "posey" and exactly what i had hoped for! I would definitely recommend and use Kuya Jep in the future!

When we were looking for a photographer for our engagement and wedding pictures, we were looking for someone that would capture us in a way that reflected who we are as a couple, the things that we enjoy, someone that made us feel comfortable, someone that we could connect with and have fun with throughout the process. Jeff was that photographer for us and more!
I am excited to share with you all how happy we have been with not only with Jeff's amazing photography skills, but with him as an individual and professional. From the moment I contacted Jeff to inquire about his services, he immediately asked if we could meet in person so he can get to know us, our engagement and our vision for our wedding. Unfortunately, because of the distance, it was difficult for my fiancé and I to meet him in person, but needless to say, Jeff asked if we could face-time instead of simply speaking with him over the phone, which quite honestly, this was one of the things that I liked about Jeff from that start and I knew my fiancée and I would connect with him instantly. Jeff truly takes the time to build rapport with his clients which I truly believe is what makes him successful in all aspects of his work.
When my fiancé and I took our engagement pictures, Jeff he made the shoot fun and made us feel comfortable enough that our pictures were natural which is what we wanted most. When our friends and family look at our pictures, the second thing they say (the first complimenting how beautiful they turned out) is: "This is you both" meaning Jeff captured "US" and not something we are not, and for that we were most happy for!
We are looking forward to our wedding and the moments that Jeff will be capturing so that one day we can share them with our children, as well as look back on them ourselves when we are old and grey and slightly forgetful :) THANK YOU JEFF!!

I worked with Kuya Jep on my engagement session. It took place in mountains of Santa Barbara in the Lizard's Mouth hiking area. So it was a hike! It was so great to see how gung ho he was to hike in all these different spots just to get the right shots. The composition and the lighting were so beautiful! I couldn't be any happier. Every single photo had great balance of emotion and artistry.

During that session, it was clear to me that he is very passionate about what he does. He was smiling the entire time and was getting extremely excited after every shot he took like every shot was hitting the jackpot! I felt so confident and knew we chose the right person.

He is so great to work with– down-to-earth, communicative, artistic and efficient.

I am just going to be honest. I don't like picture day. My wife usually picks something for me to wear, and I begrudgingly put it on before she drags me out the door. Then I have to stand and pose, which I'm just not good at. Besides, standing next to my beautiful wife only serves to make me look more like I have a face suitable for a career in radio.

Anyway, Kuya Jep Photography took the awkwardness out of posing for photos because they work a little differently. It feels more natural. Not only this, but the photos they took of my wedding were amazing. My wife and I agree on this.

To all the ladies out there with stubborn men. Book a session with Kuya Jep and they will make it a pain-free experience for your man. For all you stubborn men, why not book a session with Kuya Jep? It will be fun and easy and the lady in your life will fall in love with you all over again for suggesting a picture day. Really, they will give you high-quality photos for every occasion.

Since my wedding, I have booked Kuya Jep for several company parties and events. The Kuya Booth is a hit every time.

I love Jeff and his amazing work!! We have used him multiple times for our family weddings. I have referred him as well to all our fam & friends. He does great quality work and is very easy to work with. No matter what your budget is Jeff will work with you because he cares about his clients. Jeffrey San Juan is a very talented photographer and as professional as they come. He made my wife and I feel very comfortable during our engagement session and wedding day. I loved the fact that he captured all the special moments and memories during our special day. He captured all the happiness and joy that everyone was experiencing during our special day. His photo booth was a huge hit, everyone loved the fact that he brought along all sorts of props and his photo booth is unique compared to others. We loved the fact that he provided a copy of every crazy photo that was taken by all of our guest, which is a great album to have so that we could look back and remember all of our guest. Kuyajep photography has been taking our family portraits every year since my first baby was born. My oldest son is now 5 years old. He always makes us feel comfortable and allows us to be ourselves. He makes every candid shot beautiful and memorable! Kids are hard to photograph but every shot he makes is a masterpiece!

Kuyajep is also very accommodating. He will drive to your desired destination ahead of time just to explore the perfect spot to photograph. His quality of work is impeccable. With his creativity, imagination, and an artistic eye for the perfect spot, our photos always turns out perfect! I can't say enough good things about him. He is such a talented photographer! My family and I always look forward to our yearly session with him. I recommend him to all my family and friends!

By far the BEST vendor I worked with when I got married. Jeff traveled to San Jose for our engagement photos (where we live) with no hesitation and was open to all ideas we had and also had his own amazing ideas for our engagement session. Our engagement photos came out AMAZING, I knew our wedding photos would come out just as great, which they blew away our expectations! I have gotten so many compliments on all of our photos. His prices are reasonable with many different packages to choose from, he is so easy going and has true talent! Can't forget his photo-booth, we priced many other photo-booths and his prices were by far the best. It is a large size booth so many people can fit, tons of fun props, and pictures print minutes later, what more can you ask for? Thank you AGAIN Jeff for all of your amazing and hard work you put into our wedding photos!

Jeff and his staff were very professional, experienced, and provided exceptional quality service. He listened very clearly to the photos we specifically wanted and took lots of great candid photos too. We were extremely satisfied with the quantity and quality of photos taken. Jeff also provided the photo booth at our reception, which came with lots of props. Everyone at the wedding thought the photo booth was fun and a great addition as guests were able to take the colored photo copies home as a remembrance of our special day. We have been recommending Jeff to friends and family alike at every opportunity.

Jeff,
Is a wonderful photographer! We hired him to shoot our family photos and couldn't ask for anything better! His keen eye to detail and setting were a perfect match for what we were trying to accomplish. We felt at ease and comfortable with him that our session went by smoothly. He just asked to relax and he took care of the rest. Great working with him and look forward to hiring him in the future!

When searching for a photographer for our wedding, we did not have much to go off of. With a quick google search of "photographer Lafond Winery", Kuya Jep (Jeff) was the first hit to come up. His photos of the venue and previous wedding were breathtaking and we knew that he was going to be the guy for us. Jeff came down to our hometown of Oceanside, CA to do our engagement session, which turned out spectacular. We got multiple locations, multiple outfits, and even got to meet his amazing family! When the wedding got close, Jeff really stepped up by providing us a timeline for our use, a ceremony breakdown, and even a vendor list that we could update for our needs. It was a lifesaver!!! On the wedding day, Jeff and his 2nd photographer, Troy (who I will also write about), took so many pictures and gave us so many Ouuuu's & Ahhhhh's, we can't even choose a favorite. Trust me when I say, Jeff's work is crazy good and you will be ecstatic for his services.

Jeff is a delight to work with! He is very talented and has a great style for wedding and engagement photographs. He is very friendly and has an ability to make you feel comfortable in his presence. My husband and I used Jeff's services for our wedding and engagement photos as well as the Kuyabooth at our wedding reception. All of our guests really enjoyed the Photo Booth and the online gallery serves as a great reminder of the day's events. Working with Jeff is a very personal experience as this is his business, we had the pleasure of meeting his wife and daughter a few times while we were working together. He is generally prompt with correspondence, although during busier times it may take a day or two to hear back. Jeff is an overall great guy and will work with you to make sure you are happy! I enthusiastically recommend his services.

Kuyajep is a great photographer! He captured some very precious moments of my kids during our family portrait session. The picture quality is exceptional and looks great on canvas. We are definitely going to him for our next portrait session!

Jeff and his team were awesome. He was very friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. He captured some really incredible moments during our wedding. I can't forget to mention the funny Photo Booth... My friends and family are still talking about it! SO MUCH FUN!
